Chapter 3120: Sealing the Supreme Being, Unraveling the Body Technique

In the Cangyu Realm, under the moonlight, peace and tranquility reigned.

Bathed in the brilliant starlight, Ye Chen sat on his large wine gourd, soaring over vast rivers and mountains.

In the small world, an eerie silence prevailed.

The Chi Yan Xiong Shi, the Shen Yun Suan Yuan, and the little old man were fine, but Zi Xin kept her head bowed, trembling uncontrollably. Her fear came from the depths of her soul, for she hadn't returned to her homeland in centuries. She wasn't sure if the Dun Jia Tian Zi was still there—if another supreme being had taken it, her fate would be easy to imagine. An enraged master might condemn her to eternal unrest. More than fear, she felt regret for her foolish self-importance; the price could be devastating.

"Don't be afraid, our master is kind-hearted."

The Chi Yan Xiong Shi whispered, though his voice lacked conviction. Ye Chen's silence was more terrifying than anger.

"Who was the supreme being that saved us earlier?" the little old man asked, taking a swig of wine as he turned to the Shen Yun Suan Yuan.

"Anyone who dares to snatch someone from Wu Tian Xue Zun's grasp is rare across the universe." The Shen Yun Suan Yuan stroked his beard, his expression grave and his eyes profound.

The little old man hugged his wine jug and glanced sideways at him, thinking, If I heard right, that's just nonsense.

"It must be Yue Shen," the Shen Yun Suan Yuan said thoughtfully. "From what I remember, only she can summon the Nine Heavens Divine Waterfall."

"Great minds think alike."

"It seems something major has happened in the divine realm, drawing even Yue Shen down here."

"I wonder how my master is doing."

The two muttered back and forth, occasionally glancing at Zi Xin. They thought to themselves that this young girl was quite bold—if they found the Tian Zi, all would be well, but if not, it would damage their relationship.

Ye Chen said nothing, quietly sipping his wine. His only action was to glance down at the lands below, passing over many ancient cities that remained bustling even at night, showcasing the myriad aspects of mortal life.

When he descended next, it was onto an old mountain.

Before him stood a dilapidated temple, covered in layers of dust from the ages, its exact age unknown. It had likely once been lively and prosperous.

Zi Xin emerged from the small world and rushed into the temple, rummaging around the Buddha statue and altar. In her memory, the temple had been magnificent, filled with chanting Buddhist sounds, but now, after a century, it was in ruins.

None of that mattered now.

What was important was that she remembered a small incense burner on the altar, with the Tian Zi imprinted on the inside bottom. She had seen it by accident back then but hadn't dared to take it, given the temple's powerful Buddha.

Unfortunately, after searching for a long time, she found nothing.

In that moment, she felt utter despair.

The world had changed; nothing was as it once was.

"It's probably been taken already."

The Chi Yan Xiong Shi muttered, having transformed into human form and followed her inside. The temple was vast, with many parts collapsed, rubble and broken tiles scattered everywhere, and the worshipped Buddha statues covered in spiderwebs. Who knew how long it had been abandoned?

Outside the temple, Ye Chen didn't enter.

For him, it made no difference; with a glance, he could see through everything. From the moment he landed, he knew the temple held no Tian Zi. Through deduction, he determined it had been abandoned for at least a century, and the altar's worship power had long dissipated. Faintly, he could glimpse an old monk in burlap robes, who used to sweep fallen leaves every morning with a broom, guarding and offering daily until one day he left the temple and never returned.

Suddenly, Ye Chen turned and left, taking Zi Xin and the Chi Yan Xiong Shi with him before departing. Since it wasn't here, searching further was pointless. Tracking down that old monk seemed more promising—perhaps he had taken the small incense burner, and finding him might lead to the Tian Zi.

Back on the wine gourd, he headed straight east. In the small world, Zi Xin was no longer standing; she was kneeling like a sinner, as if she wouldn't stop until the end of time.

Ye Chen paid her no mind.

Perhaps kneeling like that brought her some peace.

Before long, he descended from the sky.

At the mountain peak, he stood like a statue, enveloped in the mysterious power of Zhou Tian.

"Why aren't we moving?"

The little old man asked curiously.

Ye Chen remained silent, not stirring at all.

Soon, two figures materialized in the air—it was Gui Sha Mo Jun and Yin Pao Zhi Zun. They must have been tracking him and had found this place.

"Are they part bloodhound?"

The little old man exclaimed, and even the Shen Yun Suan Yuan couldn't help but sigh in admiration at how accurately they had tracked him.

As they watched, the two supreme beings scanned the area from above, their eyes gleaming with divine light, inch by inch. When they passed over the mountain peak, they paused for a moment before turning to leave.

"Impressive."

The little old man marveled endlessly.

The Shen Yun Suan Yuan clicked his tongue, impressed by Ye Chen's Zhou Tian concealment technique—it hid him perfectly, even from the two supreme beings at such a close distance of about ten thousand zhang.

For a full half-hour, Ye Chen didn't move.

It wasn't that he wouldn't; it was that the two supreme beings were still in the Cangyu Realm, their divine senses blanketing the entire area. Any movement from him would reveal flaws in the Zhou Tian concealment due to the restrictions.

It was ironic, really.

A majestic Zhun Huang Emperor, the holy body supreme, hiding from two underlings. But circumstances forced his hand—he wasn't afraid of Gui Sha Mo Jun or Yin Pao Zhi Zun, but of Wu Tian Xue Zun. If he were ganged up on again, no one would save him. All he could do was bide his time, wait to find the Tian Zi, lift the restrictions, and settle all old and new grudges later. Once the two supreme beings left, he set off, unseen by anyone, with the wine gourd shooting like a divine ray toward the east, following his deductions to find the old monk.

In the small world, Zi Xin was still kneeling. It wasn't until they passed over an ancient city that she briefly lifted her eyes, her tear-blurred gaze greedily taking in the sight. That had once been her home, but now it was under new ownership—by her old enemy.

It was still a deep mountain.

Ye Chen found the old monk, who was sitting under an ancient tree, dozing off. He wasn't wearing monk's robes anymore but Daoist attire. Once a Buddhist monk, he had now become a Daoist immortal.

"This guy is quite interesting."

The Chi Yan Xiong Shi cleared his throat.

"Is it with him?"

The Shen Yun Suan Yuan spoke up, looking at Ye Chen.

Ye Chen glanced around the mountain. It was dotted with ancient graves and tombstones, like a cemetery, and the old monk seemed to be its guardian.

"Hey, wake up."

The little old man had already left Ye Chen's small world and approached the ancient tree, holding a stick and prodding the seated old monk. If the Dun Jia Tian Zi was here, hand it over! But with that prod, the old monk disintegrated into a pile of ashes scattered in the wind—or rather, he had already passed away long ago. His divine soul was gone, leaving only an empty shell eroded by time. Even without the prod, he would have turned to dust.

Ye Chen reached out and drew an ancient character from the ashes—it was the character "miao," shimmering with golden light and radiating Daoist essence.

"At least we didn't miss it."

The Shen Yun Suan Yuan smiled.

The little old man grinned too, while the Chi Yan Xiong Shi, ever the most energetic, flailed about in midair. Only Zi Xin remained humbly kneeling in the small world, not daring to look up at Ye Chen. It was fortunate they had found it—if not, she truly would have been the sinner.

Meanwhile, Ye Chen had already inscribed the Tian Zi into himself. A surge of heat followed, loosening some of the restrictions on his body, with golden light overflowing.

"Not bad."

Ye Chen smiled slightly, taking a step that crossed the vast void. When he reappeared, he was in the starry sky; another step, and he was back among the mountains.

To be precise, what had been unsealed was his Shen Fa. It wasn't fully unlocked, but that was enough—for now, if he faced a supreme being again, he wouldn't be a sitting duck.

"This calls for applause."

The Chi Yan Xiong Shi shouted, grinning widely as he squatted there, his massive paws clapping loudly. The sight was comically absurd.

"Get up."

Ye Chen said calmly, addressing Zi Xin without any reproach. She had contributed to finding the ancient character, after all.

Only then did Zi Xin timidly rise, her trembling soul still icy cold, as if she had just escaped the gates of hell.

Boom! Bang!

As they spoke, a thunderous rumble echoed.

Then came an overwhelmingly terrifying pressure that enveloped the entire Cangyu Realm, crushing mountains and forcing mortals to prostrate like ants.

In the sky, two brilliant suns appeared—or more accurately, two figures, their light so intense they resembled suns.

It was Gui Sha Mo Jun and Yin Pao Zhi Zun again, returning because they sensed something unusual in the Cangyu Realm.

"They came at just the right time."

Ye Chen sneered, deliberately releasing a trace of his aura.

"Where do you think you're going?"

The two supreme beings' perceptions were sharp, instantly locking onto him and charging forward. But Ye Chen had concealed the truth with Zhou Tian; though he was nearby, they couldn't detect him.

"Disappeared?"

Gui Sha Mo Jun frowned, spreading his divine sense to scan the area inch by inch.

As he searched, he caught sight of a small hand—chubby and pink—slapping toward him.

Thud!

The blood splatter under the moon was strikingly vivid. The mighty Gui Sha Mo Jun, a true supreme being, had his physical body obliterated in one palm strike.

"Damn it!"

Gui Sha Mo Jun howled, his Yuan Shen fleeing into the sky.

But as soon as he steadied himself, he saw a plump, childish face smiling at him.

It was Ye Chen.

With his Shen Fa restored, the Zhun Huang Emperor moved like a shadow.

"You..."

Gui Sha Mo Jun's face twisted in shock, his eyes bulging and pupils contracting in disbelief. Wasn't this guy still restricted? How did he gain such mobility?

Thud!

Another palm strike, and Gui Sha Mo Jun was left in ruins, his Yuan Shen nearly destroyed. Ye Chen hadn't finished him off, leaving a remnant soul sealed in the Chaos Cauldron—he had questions to ask.

From the attack on Gui Sha to sealing the Mo Jun, it all happened in an instant. By the time Yin Pao Zhi Zun reacted, Ye Chen was already hovering in the air, pulling out his wine jug and smiling at him, like a god overlooking an ant.

This was the might of a Zhun Huang Emperor. Even with just his Shen Fa restored, he could suppress a great emperor with a casual strike. As for heavenly emperors or this Yin Pao Zhi Zun, they were mere underlings in his eyes—the only one he truly regarded was Wu Tian Xue Zun.

"How is this possible?"

That line seemed to follow everywhere. Yin Pao Zhi Zun spat it out through gritted teeth, clearly remembering Ye Chen's restrictions. Yet in just one day, he had broken free, catching them completely off guard and wasting Gui Sha Mo Jun in a single encounter. It was truly shocking.

"Senior, I hope you've been well."

Ye Chen chuckled lightly, his words echoing with desolation and mystery. To Yin Pao Zhi Zun, it sounded like a death knell from hell. If they fought head-on, he was no match.

So, fleeing was the smart choice.

With that thought, he shot into the sky, not walking but sprinting at full speed.
