Chapter 3111: Have You Seen It?

Chapter 3111: Have You Seen It?

Under the night sky, the mountains were shrouded in haze.

Looking at the little old man, his face full of sorrow, Zixin and Chi Yan Xiong Shi both felt a chill run through their bodies.

This person had died so horribly.

Ye Chen remained quite composed, hands clasped behind his back as he quietly gazed up at the stars, seemingly lost in thought. After a long while, he turned around and placed one hand on the corpse of Shen Yun Suan Yuan. A mysterious force flowed through it—the power of the Zhoutian. His body was locked down tightly, so he could only mobilize the Zhoutian. With sheer effort, he managed to summon a trace of the primordial spirit. Though the Heavenly Emperor had destroyed it, it wasn't completely gone. Under the Zhoutian, the fire of the primordial spirit was reignited, and the corpse began to regenerate flesh and blood visibly, bit by bit.

"Such profound divine abilities!"

The little old man exclaimed in delight, his eyes sparkling. He had momentarily forgotten about this great figure, Ye Chen. Even though he was sealed, he could still bring back someone who wasn't fully dead.

Only after some time did Ye Chen withdraw his hand. He sat cross-legged, hands supporting his small face, looking utterly bored and frustrated. His body was locked, restricting him everywhere. He couldn't find Yao Chi, couldn't locate Zhao Yun, and couldn't ascend to the Heavenly Realm. As a quasi-wasteland-level supreme being, he was just wandering aimlessly in the Immortal Realm, constantly running into disgusting troubles.

It wasn't until deep into the night that Shen Yun Suan Yuan awoke. His primordial spirit and body had been fully restored, bringing him back from the dead. His mind was still foggy, and he spent half an hour shaking his head before finally regaining clarity, his face full of disbelief.

"He is the one who saved you."

The little old man pointed to Ye Chen and transmitted his divine sense, explaining everything about Ye Chen in detail to avoid further explanation.

Shen Yun Suan Yuan was deeply shocked. Even without mentioning anything else, just the fact that Ye Chen could slap away a supreme being with one hand was impressive enough. As someone who knew everything, he had never heard of such a person in the Immortal Realm before. Now, having been saved, he owed a tremendous debt of gratitude.

"Have you seen it?"

Ye Chen said casually, manifesting the Dun Jia Tian Zi in his palm. He had no time to listen to this person's stories. The little old man had brought him here from afar, full of confidence, so if he knew nothing, Ye Chen wouldn't mind giving him a beating.

"The Dun Jia Tian Zi."

Shen Yun Suan Yuan's response satisfied Ye Chen. In terms of knowledge and experience, he was indeed far superior to the little old man—at least he recognized the Dun Jia Tian Zi.

"Do you know where there are more, the more the better?"

"You're also looking for it?"

Shen Yun Suan Yuan looked at Ye Chen.

"How so? Besides me, someone else is searching?"

Ye Chen's use of "old man" made him sound quite authoritative, but he had intended to stroke his beard for effect, only to realize he was just a tiny kid.

"Wu Tian Xue Zun is also looking for it," Shen Yun Suan Yuan replied. "He came here earlier precisely for the Dun Jia Tian Zi. I once collected three of them, but he took them all."

"What a coincidence—better late than never, I suppose."

Ye Chen's words sounded casual, but inwardly, he was cursing. Arriving too late meant not even getting a sip of the soup, let alone the meat. This was what they called being undercut. He didn't need to ask to know that Wu Tian Xue Zun had already searched Shen Yun Suan Yuan's memories clean. Anything Shen Yun Suan Yuan knew about the Dun Jia Tian Zi had likely fallen into Wu Tian Xue Zun's hands. In other words, this trip had been for nothing.

"What does he want with the Tian Zi?"

The little old man asked curiously.

"I speculate he's trying to use the Tian Zi to refine some kind of divine object or secret treasure," Shen Yun Suan Yuan pondered. "This character is no simple thing; it harbors a certain divine power that even supremes don't possess."

"Do you know where else there might be any?"

Chi Yan Xiong Shi scratched his mane.

Shen Yun Suan Yuan shook his head lightly. It wasn't that he didn't know; it was that knowing or not knowing made no difference now. His memories had been taken, so anything he knew was as good as known by Wu Tian Xue Zun—it had all been claimed long ago.

The little old man coughed awkwardly and glanced at Ye Chen. This was awkward; they had arrived too late and ended up with nothing.

Ye Chen was used to it. As he thought, this journey wouldn't be smooth. He was searching, and so was Wu Tian Xue Zun. Comparing the two, the other was probably finding them faster, since Ye Chen's body was restricted while that one was free as a bird.

"If he's looking, then we'll wait for him."

Zixin whispered, accurately guessing her master's thoughts. Taking him out would mean all the Tian Zi he had found would become spoils of war. It seemed more efficient than searching everywhere, but only if Ye Chen had the power to defeat Wu Tian Xue Zun. If not, the outcome would be dire.

What she was thinking was exactly what Ye Chen was thinking. It sounded good in theory, but it wasn't easy to pull off. Wu Tian Xue Zun wasn't his match, but if that one tried to run, Ye Chen couldn't catch him. Like Gui Sha Mo Jun, they might even be in cahoots, possibly plotting together how to kill him.

What Ye Chen was pondering was the significance of the Tian Zi to his opponent. As the little old man had said, Gui Sha Mo Jun and Wu Tian Xue Zun were already supremes and should know the wonders of the Dun Jia. Yet, they were only searching for the Tian Zi recently. Could there be an unknown realm in this universe? Had the other side also uncovered the true secrets of the Tian Zi? Or was there some other purpose?

Boom! Rumbling thunder!

Suddenly, the void flashed with lightning and thunder.

Ye Chen glanced over, his eyes profound. He could sense that another supreme had entered the Immortal Realm, descending from the Divine Realm, and not just one.

Unfortunately, neither Zhao Yun nor Kuang Yingjie was among them. It was strange—after getting beaten so badly in the Divine Realm that they couldn't lift their heads, why not just return to the Immortal Realm? It would save him from worrying here.

As for those newly arrived supremes, they vanished in the blink of an eye after descending, heading toward the four seas and eight wastelands, as if searching for something.

What could they be looking for? In Ye Chen's view, it was either him or the Dun Jia Tian Zi. If the latter, things would get interesting.

A quasi-wasteland emperor's prediction was quite accurate—the Dun Jia Tian Zi had great uses for the heavens, and for certain supremes in this universe, like that blood-haired youth, it was equally significant.

The so-called great use was to borrow the power of the Tian Zi to refine someone—and that person was Zhao Yun, whom Ye Chen had been desperately searching for.

The Divine Realm was full of pitfalls.

He was one of those who had fallen into them. Looking at him now, his state was even more miserable than Ye Chen's. An ancient altar had been set up specifically for him, engraved with dense divine patterns that flashed with lightning and thunder, raged with flames, and bound him with clanging rune chains. Terrifying refining forces repeatedly engulfed his primordial spirit.

"A beast in a trap—what's the point of struggling?"

A desolate voice echoed through the universe, coming from the blood-haired youth. He stood like a lofty god at the peak of the ethereal realm, overlooking the world and Zhao Yun. The slight curl of his lips perfectly captured a playful cruelty, demonic and wicked.

"Five hundred years and you still haven't refined me. You're overestimating yourself."

Zhao Yun said flatly, his words calm yet thundering through the nine heavens, making the entire altar hum and tremble.

"That doesn't matter."

The blood-haired youth chuckled darkly. "What matters is that you can't escape. Once I gather all the Dun Jia, I'll break your eternal indestructibility."

Zhao Yun fell silent, glancing inadvertently at the Tian Zi suspended in the four directions, like small stars shimmering with brilliant golden light. Though the Tian Zi was small, it held a strange divine power. He hadn't understood its true wonder back then, but now he knew it was extraordinary. If the blood-haired youth gathered enough, he would indeed be refined.

He had held on for five hundred years, but his end was only a matter of time. No one could save him from this place; even Shura Tian Zun was far from powerful enough and was probably being hunted across the world right now.

The only blame was that certain tribulations had come at the worst possible time. If not for being in the midst of a tribulation, would he have been captured?

A tribulation is like a dream.

When the dream ends, you realize the pain it brings.
