Chapter 3110: A Lively God Realm

Chapter 3110: The Bustling Shen Jie

The vast starry sky was shattered and eerily silent, mainly because Ye Chen was too ferocious—he had swatted down a supreme being with a single slap, leaving his companions stunned. Zi Xin and Chi Yan Xiong Shi were especially shocked; they knew Ye Chen was powerful, but they never imagined he was this overwhelmingly dominant. It wasn't just finding a master; this was like having a great god on their side!

The little old man, however, remained calm.

He thought to himself that it made sense—his master's uncle's friends were no ordinary folks. Zhao Yun was a peerless powerhouse, and this little guy in front of him was equally unmatched. It was his own shortsightedness; just moments ago, he had foolishly tried to block the supreme's strike. Now, seeing things clearly, there was no need for that. They were both supremes, but this one was even more formidable. Getting robbed by him wasn't humiliating at all.

As he pondered this, the little old man glanced at Ye Chen a few more times. With his sharp eyes, he could tell Ye Chen wasn't in peak condition. Clearly an ancient elder, yet appearing as a young child, there must be some kind of restraint or seal binding him, even preventing him from chasing after Gui Sha Mo Jun as it fled.

Ye Chen said nothing, silently channeling his Zhou Tian to deduce Gui Sha Mo Jun's location. That fiend had escaped quickly, already crossing countless star domains.

Interestingly, while Ye Chen was deducing Gui Sha Mo Jun, Gui Sha Mo Jun was doing the same to him, probably investigating his origins. And it was doing so with extreme caution. But no matter how careful it was, in the eyes of a Zhun Huang Di, it was still a laughable farce.

“Such nerve.”

Ye Chen chuckled, instantly isolating himself, and used his Zhou Tian power to form an immortal sword, slashing back along the path of the deduction.

Upon seeing this, Gui Sha Mo Jun's face changed drastically, and it hastily retreated, barely dodging Ye Chen's attack. Its complexion turned deathly pale, with blood constantly overflowing from its mouth. Ye Chen's earlier slap had nearly shattered it, causing serious internal injuries.

“Xian Jie truly hides dragons and tigers,” Gui Sha Mo Jun murmured after a long while, its eyes narrowing into slits. “It seems I’ll need to call in reinforcements.”

“Eventually, I’ll catch you.”

Ye Chen closed his eyes and sat down cross-legged. Chasing was out of the question; the opponent could traverse the stars with great shifts, and his short legs couldn't keep up.

He could beat it, but not catch it.

This was an incredibly awkward situation.

His deduction didn't stop there.

This time, he was deducing the Dun Jia Heavenly Characters, hoping to use them for tracking. However, the characters were profoundly mysterious, inherently veiled from insight. Even he could only glimpse a vague, chaotic blur.

So, he was stuck using the brute-force method.

“You must be Ye Chen, right!”

The little old man waved his hand to open a domain gate and hopped onto Chi Yan Xiong Shi's head, eyeing Ye Chen tentatively. His master's uncle had mentioned Ye Chen before, not just his shameless exploits, but also the many myths and legends he had created. The person before him was likely that very divine figure.

“Now you know why you got beaten?” Ye Chen shot the little old man a sideways glance. Still daring to curse me?

What to do? I feel like swearing.

The little old man took a deep breath. You old-timer, you sure know a lot of tricks! Earlier, when I asked if you were Ye Chen, you said no, so I spoke the truth. If you'd said yes, I definitely would've sugarcoated it and avoided getting smacked. No wonder my master's uncle called you a jerk.

Fortunately, Ye Chen didn't bother engaging with him. If he had opened his robe to reveal the three neatly arranged heavenly characters on his chest, it would've blinded the old man's eyes for sure. That's me—a legend like no other.

The passage fell silent again.

The little old man's face was still dark, and he kept thinking about getting his treasures back. They were his life's savings, meant for showing off. Meanwhile, Zi Xin and Chi Yan Xiong Shi looked especially restrained. Their boss was a god, and just thinking about it made their heads spin. Had they hit the jackpot?

“Open, open for me.”

Ye Chen sat as still as a rock, roaring inwardly, once again forming a divine sword with his Zhou Tian to try breaking the invisible restraints. The feeling of being bound was truly unpleasant. A Zhun Huang Di like him couldn't afford to be this embarrassed.

But he couldn't break it.

Not only did he fail, he suffered backlash. His once ruddy little face had turned deathly white, with fresh blood trickling from his mouth. The little old man and the others frowned deeply, especially the little old man, whose eyes narrowed into slits. He could see Ye Chen was attempting to shatter some restraint and had endured a terrifying backlash. What kind of seal could hold someone like Ye Chen, who could swat down a supreme with one slap, yet still couldn't break free?

“I need the ancient characters.”

Ye Chen said calmly. This was urgent; Gui Sha Mo Jun's escape was a painful example. Without lifting his own restraints, he'd be at a disadvantage if they met again. And if he faced multiple supremes, it would be enough to disgust even a Zhun Huang Di like him. After all, being so restricted made him little more than a sitting duck most of the time.

“Easy enough.”

Ye Chen was serious, and so was the little old man. Xian Jie wasn't peaceful anymore; there was already one Gui Sha Mo Jun, and likely other hostile supremes. With his master and master's uncle absent, they needed someone to hold the fort, and Ye Chen was the perfect candidate. Even restrained, he was this terrifying—if he broke free, he'd be unstoppable!

Boom! Boom!

Just as they spoke, a sudden boom echoed from the vast and ethereal distance, making the little old man, Chi Yan Xiong Shi, and Zi Xin tremble.

Ye Chen looked up, straining his eyes as far as they could go, but his restraints limited his vision to mere emptiness. Still, one thing was clear: Shen Jie wasn't calm. The booming sounds suggested a massive battle, likely among supremes, with the shockwaves even reaching down to Xian Jie.

His guess was spot on.

It was indeed a battle—a supreme-level free-for-all. He could see that Kuang Ying Jie was in the thick of it, seemingly without allies, surrounded by countless supremes. He wielded a blood-drenched divine blade, fighting ferociously despite his body being torn and bloody, exploding repeatedly as he stained the skies with his essence.

“Today, we will end you.”

Shouts echoed from all directions, like thunderclaps.

“The hell with you all, fight me one-on-one if you've got the guts!”

Kuang Ying Jie's roar shook the universe; he must have been driven mad. Even his supreme composure couldn't hold back the cursing, and his words were laced with raw dominance.

Boom! Boom!

Amid the booms, Shen Jie trembled violently. The supremes' clash shattered the heavens and split the earth, with countless visions manifesting and apocalyptic glows shining. Every boom was like a funeral bell from hell, as bloodied divine bones exploded across the skies.

“I think it's better to wait before heading up.”

Ye Chen muttered to himself, his words heavy with meaning. The little old man and the others couldn't hear, but it felt as if he could. No need to look; he knew Kuang Ying Jie was getting ganged up on. Going to Shen Jie expecting protection was impossible—the guy could barely protect himself. Ye Chen would just end up getting hammered too. So, he decided not to go to Shen Jie until his restraints were lifted. As for his good buddies Zhao Yun and Kuang Ying Jie, he wasn't worried at all; those two had lives tougher than cockroaches—they wouldn't die.

“What a lively scene.”

The little old man murmured, glancing at Ye Chen. “Ever since the Wuwang dried up, Shenshan was destroyed, and the Immortal Ladder collapsed, Xian Jie has had no supremes. How did you get down here?”

“Even Gui Sha Mo Jun could come down, so why couldn't I, an old man?” Ye Chen replied leisurely. From the little old man's words, he caught the hidden implication. It seemed all the supremes in this universe had gone to Shen Jie. It was hard for people from Xian Jie to go up, and for Shen Jie's supremes to come down. He wondered what kind of upheaval had caused this divide between the two realms.

“I wonder how my master and master's uncle are doing.”

The little old man muttered.

Ye Chen didn't want to discourage him. Just looking at Kuang Ying Jie was enough to know; his master probably wasn't faring much better. And Zhao Yun might be in the same boat, likely getting ganged up on too.

The booms lasted three full days.

The battle raged above for three days, and Ye Chen listened for three days. Not just Shen Jie was lively—Xian Jie was too. Peering through the domain gate passage, he saw many star domains collapsing and countless stars being obliterated.

On the fourth day, the battle finally ended.

During that time, Ye Chen had tried deducing again.

As before, he couldn't find Zhao Yun, and the Shura Tian Zun had probably isolated himself, as even Ye Chen couldn't get a clear read. In the haze, he only saw a blood-soaked figure staggering through the bloody light, a scene of utter misery.

When they emerged from the domain gate, what met their eyes was a vast continent, like a glittering pearl embedded in the stars. Its territory was ten times that of the Xuanhuang in the various heavens, exuding an aura of grandeur, ancientness, and desolation.

“This is Sen Luo Jie.”

“My friend Shen Yun Suan Yuan lives here. He's a know-it-all; asking him is a sure bet.”

“He's the type who likes peace and quiet.”

The little old man chattered as they went, mainly speaking to Ye Chen. From the moment Ye Chen had swatted down Gui Sha Mo Jun, he had assumed Ye Chen was a native supreme from Shen Jie, just visiting Xian Jie for a stroll.

Ye Chen listened without responding. Shen Yun Suan Yuan? A know-it-all? He wondered how that guy stacked up against Ren Wang in terms of skill.

Soon, the group entered a mountain range. According to the little old man, Shen Yun Suan Yuan was hidden here, having carved out a cave dwelling to focus on divination arts. He was quite the recluse, often not emerging for centuries.

“Your friend is probably gone.”

Ye Chen said flatly. Even before reaching the depths, he could see Shen Yun Suan Yuan's cave was in ruins, with remnants of blood aura and killing intent lingering.

The little old man frowned and quickened his pace. Upon reaching the depths, he was met with a gruesome sight. The once serene and harmonious cave was now destroyed, with no one in sight—just bloodstains everywhere that hadn't dried, and rubble scattered across the ground.

“Is this him you're talking about?”

Chi Yan Xiong Shi pointed with its claw toward the rock wall. No need for words; the little old man and Ye Chen had already spotted it. A corpse was impaled on the wall with a war spear, decayed and exposing bones in places, with no head to speak of. Clearly, the person had been brutally tortured before death.

“Dammit.”

The little old man cursed under his breath and rushed forward, but Ye Chen pulled him back.

It was because the war spear still held latent killing intent, concealed and formless—it was a supreme's killing energy, beyond the level of a great emperor, or at least a Tian Di supreme. Getting too close could mean instant annihilation.

So, Ye Chen handled it. With a casual wave, he dispelled the hidden killing intent, laid the body to rest, and took the war spear. Channeling his Zhou Tian, he replayed the scene: the one who killed Shen Yun Suan Yuan was a man in blood robes with a pair of eerie purple eyes.

“Wu Tian Xue Zun.”

The little old man recognized him instantly, his eyes flashing with cold light, though his face turned pale. Having identified the killer, he knew all too well how powerful the enemy was.

Ye Chen took a swig from his flask, his gaze deep. This was the second time he'd heard of Wu Tian Xue Zun. Earlier, when Gui Yu Mo Zong attacked Hao Miao Zong and captured that old hag comparable to a saint, she had name-dropped him as her backer before dying.

But now, it seemed unrealistic. A Tian Di-level supreme wouldn't bother with a mere saint; the old hag had probably just been bluffing.

“Did he come to Xian Jie too?”

The little old man snorted coldly, his expression grim. First Gui Sha Mo Jun, now Wu Tian Xue Zun—both from Shen Jie, yet here they were in Xian Jie. One was chasing him, the other had killed Shen Yun Suan Yuan.

This was stirring up trouble!
