Chapter 1895: Slaying the Emperor's Son

Chapter 1895: Slaying the Di Zi

The arrival of the Fa Shen instantly made Gui Ku's face extremely ugly.

Ye Chen, on the other hand, was quite pleased. If one person couldn't take you down easily, then let's try two.

Wan Jian Feng Shen!

The Fa Shen didn't hesitate, striking decisively with a sword that fused wind and spirit into one, aimed straight at Gui Ku's brow.

"Give me rise." Gui Ku roared, burning his origin in a flash to block Ye Chen's Dao Jian, then fled swiftly.

But he was still too slow—or more accurately, Ye Chen's true self had cast a binding secret technique.

Even a brief moment was enough. The Fa Shen's sword pierced straight through Gui Ku's skull, the fresh blood strikingly vivid.

"You all deserve to die." Gui Ku wasn't destroyed yet; his Yuan Shen escaped, roaring as he fled.

"Still acting tough without a physical body?" Ye Chen sneered, moving with incredible speed to block Gui Ku's path. He fused nine paths of Shen Shang into one, forming a Yuan Shen sword that split Gui Ku's Yuan Shen on the spot.

The Fa Shen wasn't idle either, pursuing from behind and unleashing Shen Shang attacks targeted at the Yuan Shen.

Gui Ku was in a miserable state, letting out piercing wails. After being hit by Ye Chen's Shen Shang, his divine sea rumbled as if about to explode. Just as he regained some clarity, the Fa Shen's Shen Shang arrived, repeatedly shattering his Yuan Shen and nearly extinguishing it.

It had to be said, this guy was extraordinarily tough. Even reduced to just his Yuan Shen, after enduring a barrage of Shen Shang from Ye Chen and the Fa Shen, he still didn't die. His shattered Yuan Shen healed again and again.

"The son of the earth is indeed stubborn," Ye Chen couldn't help but tsk in amazement.

"You can't destroy me." Gui Ku's face twisted into a grotesque expression, his Yuan Shen body suddenly enveloped in a layer of armor.

"I'll handle your defiance." The Fa Shen soared into the sky and abruptly opened the Hun Dun Jie, knocking Gui Ku off balance.

"I'll beat you until you cry." Ye Chen did the same, unleashing his Hun Dun phenomenon. As soon as Gui Ku steadied himself, he was slammed to his knees, the armor on his Yuan Shen body exploding into dust in an instant.

This time, Gui Ku the Di Zi was terrified and fled upward.

But he couldn't escape. The Hun Dun Ding was waiting for him there, massive and unyielding, colliding head-on and sending his Yuan Shen tumbling through the air.

"It's over." Ye Chen arrived, slashing down with his Dao Jian.

"I don't believe it." Gui Ku roared, his Yuan Shen body erupting with divine light to form layers of shields.

Yet, no matter how many shields he had, they were as fragile as paper before the Dao Jian, shattering in an instant. His Yuan Shen body was split in two by Ye Chen's sword.

At the same time, the Fa Shen controlled the Hun Dun Ding, drawing the half-destroyed Gui Ku inside.

"My Gui Ku clan will never forgive you." As a Di Zi, Gui Ku showed remarkable resilience, roaring madly in fury.

He was angry, unwilling, a son of the great emperor with such noble blood and status, yet now suppressed. It was an utter humiliation, tarnishing the glory his ancestors had built in a single stroke.

"In your next life, when picking opponents, don't choose the tough ones—you'll just get beaten." Ye Chen spoke leisurely, activating the restrictions in the Hun Dun Ding and awakening its destructive power, grinding Gui Ku's Yuan Shen into nothingness. Only the Yuan Shen essence remained, nourishing the Hun Dun Ding.

One Di Zi met such an awkward end. He had chased Ye Chen with such arrogance, but after barely twenty exchanges, he was destroyed. Among all the Honghuang Di Zi, none had fallen faster than him. It wasn't that he wasn't strong; he had simply picked the wrong opponent by targeting Ye Chen.

Who was Ye Chen? The invincible Huang Gu Sheng Ti in his realm, a ruthless one who had slain emperors. Anyone trying to step on his shoulders to reach the peak had to be prepared for annihilation—and the price would be heavy.

"Go help Ming Jue." Ye Chen turned immediately.

This was his strategy: divide and conquer, take them out one by one. Only after dealing with Gui Ku the Di Zi could he handle Tao Wu the Di Zi.

Returning to the previous area, it was a scene of utter devastation.

Ming Jue and Tao Wu the Di Zi were locked in a fierce, even brutal battle.

Ming Jue was covered in blood, riddled with wounds, and Tao Wu wasn't faring much better. His phenomenon had been shattered, half his head cleaved off, and even his spine had been ripped out by Ming Jue.

The sight was gruesomely bloody.

It was clear that Di Zi Tao Wu was at a disadvantage, being beaten down by Ming Jue. In a one-on-one fight, he couldn't match up. At this rate, his end would be death, while Ming Jue would be left half-crippled.

"What's there to watch? Get in there!" The Fa Shen howled and charged forward.

That remark made Ye Chen's mouth twitch. You bastard, I almost thought I was the Fa Shen.

"Once we're back, I need to educate you properly." Ye Chen grumbled, pulling the Fa Shen back with one hand. "Stay outside and make sure Tao Wu doesn't escape."

With that, Ye Chen rushed in, his entrance domineering as he struck Tao Wu with a palm, sending him spraying blood.

"How is this possible?" Tao Wu stabilized himself, his expression changing drastically. Ye Chen had returned, but Gui Ku the Di Zi was nowhere to be seen. He could easily guess that Gui Ku had been destroyed by Ye Chen—and effortlessly at that. Otherwise, Ye Chen wouldn't be in such good shape.

In other words, Gui Ku the Di Zi hadn't even managed to seriously injure Ye Chen before dying.

Tao Wu found it hard to believe. That was a Di Zi! To be taken out so easily—how powerful was the Sheng Ti?

"Seeing me, aren't you thrilled?" Ye Chen laughed happily, clearly in high spirits.

"By my calculations, it's now two against one." Ming Jue smoothed back his hair.

Tao Wu's face grew grave, and he instinctively retreated. One Ming Jue was already a handful; add the unfathomable Ye Chen, and in this two-on-one, defeat was certain. He might even be destroyed.

Thinking of that, he said nothing and turned to flee. No point fighting when he knew he couldn't win—it was just asking for trouble. His plan was to find the other Honghuang Di Zi and gang up on them.

"If I'm not mistaken, you're trying to run." The Fa Shen appeared, blocking Tao Wu's escape route.

"Oh boy, now it's three against one." Ming Jue chuckled.

"Quick and decisive." Ye Chen was the most straightforward, launching an attack with a dominating punch.

"Destroy me?" Tao Wu snarled, using mysterious footwork to vanish in an instant.

"Where do you think you're going?" The Fa Shen pounced, slashing him back with a sword.

"Seal the heavens and lock the earth." Ming Jue ascended to the nine heavens, not using an attack secret technique but a binding divine ability—an ancient formation passed down from the Ming Di, capable of sealing someone until they questioned their existence.

Tao Wu was hit, his body slowed to a crawl by the formation, his entire body's power rapidly dissipating.

"Break for me." Tao Wu roared in anger, burning his origin to gain immense combat power and even summoning an Outer Dao Demon Image, forcibly shattering the formation.

"If we can't take you down three-on-one, we might as well quit." Ye Chen moved like a ghost, his Dao Jian ringing as it transformed into a hundred-zhang blade, slicing through Tao Wu's Outer Dao Demon Image.

Tao Wu suffered backlash, staggering backward with bulging eyes full of bloodshot veins. He hadn't expected his Outer Dao Demon Image to be destroyed so swiftly.

"Still trying to slip away?" The Fa Shen attacked from behind, his palm like a divine blade, splitting Tao Wu's body open.

Tao Wu's recovery was formidable; he healed his body and burned his lifespan to activate a boosting forbidden law. His previously shattered phenomenon reopened, and he stood within it like an immortal king, using it for defense.

Ye Chen, the Fa Shen, and Ming Jue were relentless, their phenomena fully unleashed. Tao Wu's phenomenon was shattered for the second time. One moment he was like an immortal king, the next a stray dog, blasted thousands of zhang away. Even his tough body couldn't withstand such assaults.

In an instant, half of Tao Wu's physical form exploded, exposing his stark white bones, leaving him unrecognizable.

"You've enraged me." Tao Wu roared wildly, his eyes mad as he rapidly formed seals with his hands.

"Yin Yang reversal, Qian Kun annihilation." With his bellow, a halo spread from him in all directions, collapsing space and turning all laws to nothing. The destructive force even dimmed the stars in the sky.

"This immortal law is troublesome." The Fa Shen frowned. As he wasn't the true self, he could be obliterated by this move.

"Are the sons of great emperors all this terrifying?" Ye Chen sighed inwardly, knowing that even he would suffer heavy injuries trying to tank this head-on.

"Emperor Dao immortal law: Absolute stillness." Ming Jue shouted coldly, clasping his hands together to unleash his ultimate move.

His secret technique was incredibly powerful, instantly freezing the collapsing world. Everything except Ye Chen, the Fa Shen, and Ming Jue—including Tao Wu—was locked in place.

"Why hide such a secret technique?" Ye Chen and the Fa Shen both scoffed, but their actions were synchronized as they drew divine bows and fired thunderous arrows, both aimed at Di Zi Tao Wu.

In less than a moment, the stillness lifted. Tao Wu regained his ability to move, but before he could even catch his breath, an arrow from the Fa Shen obliterated his physical body.

His Yuan Shen wasn't spared either, pierced on the spot by Ye Chen's arrow, its fire extinguished.

"No!" Di Zi Tao Wu screamed in terror, but it couldn't stop his Yuan Shen from collapsing.

"Come in!" Ming Jue opened his Qian Kun Bag, swallowing Tao Wu inside. The essence of a Di Zi's Yuan Shen was a heavenly treasure, perfect for nourishing his own Yuan Shen.

The world fell silent with the fall of Di Zi Tao Wu.

Another Di Zi had been slain, taken down by a group beating. It wasn't that he lacked strength; it was just that Ye Chen and his allies were too unscrupulous, skipping one-on-one fights for all-out gang-ups. Who cared about face? Just get the job done.

"That was way too intense." Ming Jue plopped down on the ground. "I thought unlocking the divine repository would let me show off here, but who knew the human realm had so many monsters?"

"Ours is quite the vibrant and colorful place." Ye Chen picked up Tao Wu the Di Zi's storage bag, casually checking the treasures. A Di Zi's collection was like a natural treasury—source stones, pills, and various secret scrolls and artifacts. It left him dazzled, feeling instantly wealthy.

On the other side, the Fa Shen held Gui Ku the Di Zi's storage bag, clicking his tongue in admiration. Not exaggerating, robbing one Honghuang Di Zi was worth more than plundering a dozen Honghuang princes.

Ming Jue glanced over and eagerly ran to join in, only to be pushed away by Ye Chen.

Ming Jue's face darkened. Damn it, we took down the Di Zi together, and you're hogging it all?

"What's the rush? We'll divide it back at base." The Fa Shen said meaningfully.

"Will there even be any left?" Ming Jue's face turned completely black.

"Don't sweat the small stuff." Ye Chen grinned. "Come on, chat with me. Besides you and Xiao Chen, who's else from Da Chu come here?"

"Bai Zhi." Ming Jue took a swig from his wine flask and continued, "She's probably discussing life philosophies with Xuan Gu the Di Zi right now."

"I'm baffled—where have all the various heaven's Di Zi gone? I've searched all the way and haven't seen a single one." Ye Chen popped a pill into his mouth. "They couldn't have all been wiped out, could they?"

"Don't say it, that might actually be possible." Ming Jue tossed aside his flask. "The Honghuang sent way more Di Zi this time—at least four times as many as the various heaven's. If it turns into a full brawl, they'd probably get totally crushed."
