Chapter 1896

After drinking a pot of wine, Ye Chen and Mingjue both stood up and stepped into the void, heading toward the east and west respectively. Each summoned a large number of clones, intending to find the Zhutian Di Zi as quickly as possible.

Of course, if they could locate the Honghuang Di Zi, that would be even better, allowing them to continue their strategy of defeating them one by one.

The Tian Zun Yiji was far from peaceful, with booming sounds erupting one after another, growing more intense.

As for our Young Master Ye, he was always eager to join the action, and he was the type to strike swiftly and decisively—come and go quickly.

His hands were stained with fresh blood, over ninety percent of it from the Honghuang clan, and the rest from people of Zhutian.

The Honghuang had both good and bad among them, and the same went for Zhutian. There were always those who didn't dare confront the Honghuang but enjoyed bullying the Zhutian cultivators.

Ye Chen showed no mercy to such people—he would eliminate anyone he encountered and cut down any pair he saw.

This killing spree brought him enormous gains, though not as much as before, the wealth he accumulated was still quite impressive.

As night fell once more, he stopped at the edge of a deep abyss.

This abyss was extraordinarily deep, like the entrance to hell itself. Just glancing down from above made one feel as though their spirit was being swallowed. Many people had come here, but very few dared to enter.

"The terrain of Nine Dragons Arching the Abyss," Fa Shen exclaimed in amazement, scanning the surroundings. Nine majestic mountains stood tall, with the abyss at their center, forming a natural layout. If it were turned into a formation, its power would be overwhelmingly dominant, even surpassing Nine Dragons Arching the Sky.

"There must be a formation here, but it's probably been damaged over the ages, with most of its foundations ruined," Ye Chen pondered.

"Inside, there are no fewer than a hundred Honghuang clan members," Fa Shen said immediately, sensing with a secret technique.

"Not a single Zhutian cultivator, but so many Honghuang gathered here—could they be holding a grand meeting?" Ye Chen squatted at the edge, peering down, but the lingering formation obscured everything. Even with his keen eyesight, all he saw was pitch-black darkness.

"Who cares what they're up to? Let's just fight," Fa Shen shouted eagerly. Without waiting for Ye Chen's order, he dove straight into the abyss. His surging murderous aura was even thicker than Ye Chen's true self, and he was incredibly excited. Whenever he spotted Honghuang clan members, he was more enthusiastic than anyone—ever since being summoned, he had killed more than Ye Chen himself.

"Getting more reliable by the day," Ye Chen said with a satisfied smile. He didn't follow but stayed at the abyss's edge, waiting. This was their tacit understanding: Fa Shen charged ahead while he handled the ambushes.

"Run? Where to?"

"Who the hell are you?"

"Who cares who I am?"

"Kill! Kill him for me!"

Soon, booming sounds echoed from the abyss, along with Fa Shen's loud shouts and the Honghuang clan's chaotic roars.

Ye Chen didn't need to look to know Fa Shen was putting on a spectacular show.

He still didn't go down, instead hiding in the void space and summoning immortal fire and heavenly thunder. He nocked his bow, ready to pick off the Honghuang clan members as they fled.

Sure enough, someone emerged from the abyss, but to his embarrassment, it wasn't a Honghuang clan member—it was his own Fa Shen, looking utterly disheveled, clearly having been ganged up on.

"Idiots! The whole Honghuang clan is full of idiots," Fa Shen grumbled as he fled, not stopping his verbal barrage. His curses rang out boldly and fiercely.

"Oh, what a nest of big fish!" Ye Chen's eyes lit up as he caught sight of the scene through his Fa Shen. Over a hundred figures were chasing Fa Shen, all of them Tai Zi from the Honghuang clan.

Now he understood why Fa Shen had been beaten. This lineup was formidable—even if he went down himself, he'd be overpowered. There was no way around it; sheer numbers were an absolute suppression, enough to bring even a holy body to its knees.

"Mingjue, come quickly," Ye Chen transmitted. He couldn't handle this nest of big fish alone.

"Got it!" Mingjue, who was roaming the Yiji, heard the call and immediately turned, hurrying toward Ye Chen. He was full of energy—Ye Chen said they were big fish, so they had to be substantial.

By the time Fa Shen escaped the abyss and returned to Ye Chen's side, he was bruised and battered, covered in countless bloody wounds. He had thought they were ordinary Honghuang clan members, but they turned out to be over a hundred Honghuang Tai Zi, all attacking at once with their powerful moves. It had nearly wiped him out.

"Having a Dharma body like you makes me truly gratified," Ye Chen grumbled.

"I didn't back down—it was just that there were too many of them," Fa Shen coughed awkwardly.

"Where do you think you're going?"

As they spoke, divine rainbows shot out from the abyss. The Honghuang Tai Zi pursued relentlessly, each radiating brilliant light like dazzling stars illuminating the dark night. Yet, in the faint moonlight, their ferocious faces were clearly visible.

"I love scenes like this," Ye Chen sneered, channeling his power and firing a pitch-black thunder god arrow.

This arrow was infused with Shen Shang, which specifically targeted the opponent's primordial spirit, and enhanced with Dao Jian, which severed their foundations. Its destructive power was immense, carrying god-like might that could pierce through anything.

Thud!

Blood sprayed across the starry sky, vivid and scarlet. The first Honghuang Tai Zi to charge out was struck through the skull by Ye Chen's arrow, dying instantly without even a scream, completely obliterated.

"Ambush! Retreat quickly," the other Honghuang Tai Zi shouted hoarsely, scattering in escape.

"Let's see if your escape techniques are faster than my arrows," Ye Chen said, nocking another arrow. With perfect form, he fired a second, then a third, fourth, and fifth in quick succession.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Blood flowers bloomed one after another, each marking the instant death of a Tai Zi.

The Honghuang Tai Zi's escape methods were profound, but Ye Chen's archery was equally dominant, every shot hitting its mark. He targeted them one by one, regardless of their origins.

This ambush lasted no more than a dozen moments, with at least ten Tai Zi shot down.

Well then! The Honghuang Tai Zi who had rushed out of the abyss retreated back inside, though a couple who were too slow were kindly sent to the underworld by Ye Chen.

"Hiding like cowards—utterly despicable," roared the Honghuang Tai Zi from the abyss, furious at being caught off guard and losing over a dozen of their own. It was a massive humiliation.

"So tough? Then come out and fight one-on-one," Fa Shen taunted loudly, his temper flaring.

"Got the guts? Then come in here," the Honghuang Tai Zi shot back, their eyes blood-red and teeth gritted. They wanted to go out but didn't dare—the previous Tai Zi had been killed in a single arrow, making it obvious that an emperor-level expert was lurking. No one wanted to court death like that.

"Not going in, even if you beat me to it," Fa Shen muttered, rubbing his hands. Remembering the earlier gang beating, he felt pain all over. Over a hundred Honghuang Tai Zi, each more savage than the last.

Ye Chen ignored the verbal sparring between Fa Shen and the Honghuang Tai Zi, focusing instead on urging Mingjue to hurry. It would be a shame not to wipe out this nest of big fish—they were all valuable assets.

"Boss, there's treasure in the abyss," Fa Shen whispered to Ye Chen while continuing his taunts.

"With over a hundred Honghuang Tai Zi gathered, who would believe there's no treasure?" Ye Chen's eyes gleamed. Whatever could attract so many Honghuang Tai Zi had to be more than just ordinary treasure—it was something major.

The two chatted casually, but the Honghuang Tai Zi trapped in the abyss kept up their thunderous curses.

Though they cursed, they weren't idle. One group shouted while another summoned their own Di Zi, planning to wipe out Ye Chen and Fa Shen in one go. They were as cunning as could be—after all, being a Tai Zi meant they had sharp minds.

Thus, the dark night became lively, full of shouts but no actual fighting.

Both sides were calling for reinforcements, each trying to devour the other.

Victory would depend on whose allies arrived first.

Ye Chen was confident, able to sense Mingjue's position—it was very close.

Once Mingjue arrived, the three of them together—Ye Chen, Mingjue, and Fa Shen—could easily wipe out the hundred Honghuang Di Zi. The battle wouldn't take long, just about a quarter of an hour, and it would surely delight the Honghuang clans.

"Boss, have you noticed that ever since we entered the Tian Zun Yiji, there's been this incredibly oppressive feeling?" Fa Shen stroked his chin as they waited. "It's not from the Yiji itself, but from the people inside. It feels like there's some existence beyond the Di Zi level."

"As if my true self wouldn't notice what even a Dharma body can feel?" Ye Chen replied casually.

"Can't figure out that person's background—it's all murky chaos," Fa Shen muttered.

"Probably some even more powerful bloodline has emerged," Ye Chen took a deep breath, his gaze flickering uncertainly, as if speaking to himself. "The pressure from him is greater than from Zhao Yun."
