Chapter 945: Vigorous

Qiao Jiajin stared at the words written by the corpse for a long time, then looked up with a puzzled expression and asked:

“De Ren Zi, between you two, who was teaching whom to do homework?”

“I…” Qi Xia realized she always stumbled over her words when talking to Qiao Jiajin, “Neither of us was teaching the other. It should be that someone is trying to send me a message.”

“Oh.” Qiao Jiajin nodded, “This seems so similar to how that ‘Luo Yi’ sent messages yesterday…”

“It should be different.” Qi Xia said, “Yesterday’s ‘Luo Yi’ had its own intentions, but this corpse was clearly being controlled.”

“Huh… She’s not moving anymore!” Qiao Jiajin exclaimed softly.

After hearing that, Qi Xia looked at the corpse and saw that it had indeed stopped. The woman’s hand was propped on the table, her entire body as still as a statue.

“Hey!” Qiao Jiajin patted the corpse with some concern, “She’s not dead, is she?”

As soon as he said it, he realized it didn’t sound right and quickly corrected himself: “She’s not dead again, is she?”

Qi Xia narrowed her eyes and turned to look out the window. This whole thing was definitely worth pondering. If someone went to such lengths to send a message… why not just show up in person?

A corpse wandering around the teaching building would draw even more attention, wouldn’t it?

Before Qi Xia could figure it out, there was a thud. The corpse in front of them collapsed to the ground as if it had completely lost control.

“Oh no…” Qiao Jiajin quickly bent down and felt the woman’s pulse, “This time, she really seems dead… totally dead.”

Footsteps echoed from outside the door, and Zhang Shan arrived with several members of Tian Tang Kou.

They walked in just in time to see a blood-covered woman lying there, with Qiao Jiajin’s hand on her neck.

“Uh…” Qiao Jiajin hesitated, glancing at the scene and then at the group at the door. He could only manage a bitter smile and say, “I might have had one too many drinks today… If I tell you this woman was already dead when she came in, would any of you believe me?”

“She didn’t kill her.” Qi Xia spoke up, “Something’s happened.”

“Nonsense, I know that.” Zhang Shan stepped forward and examined the corpse. After confirming it was the strange female body he had seen at the door, he let out a deep sigh.

“You were chasing her here?” Qi Xia asked.

“Yeah.” Zhang Shan carefully inspected the body, finding nothing unusual, “How on earth did this thing get in… I just can’t figure it out.”

“Is this an ‘enemy attack’?” Qi Xia asked again.

Zhang Shan wasn’t entirely sure: “This thing bypassed me and bolted into the teaching building at top speed—it sure looks like an enemy attack… You two okay?”

“No issues.” Qiao Jiajin shook his head, then pointed at the corpse on the ground, “But she seems to have some issues…”

Liei Che.

Tian Zhu knelt on the ground, gasping for breath in huge gulps. He was covered in blood, and it was impossible to tell where his wounds were.

In front of him, Qing Long stood expressionless, his long robe spotless except for blood on his hands.

“Just a few rounds in?” Qing Long shook off his hands and asked, “Even with these bodies given to you, it’s no use. You lack combat experience, so you’re just easy prey.”

“Do you think we’re like you…” Tian Zhu said weakly, “We never wanted to use these bodies to slaughter others… How could we possibly accumulate ‘combat experience’?”

“Still putting on a brave front.” Qing Long laughed, “Even if all of you attacked together, or if I didn’t use Duo Xin Po, what chance would you have?”

After hearing that, Tian Zhu gritted his teeth and spat out a mouthful of blood. He knew his time was running out.

Unfortunately, the Kui Lei mission hadn’t been completed, and his “belief” had been whittled away by Qing Long’s beating, so the Kui Lei was probably out of control by now.

“Get up… Kui Lei,” Tian Zhu thought to himself, “Since I’m about to die… I absolutely can’t let Qing Long get off easy.”

Tian She glanced over, and at that moment, he felt a bit of admiration for Tian Zhu, who had been dormant for decades.

His “inner voice” was so clear and resounding that it reached Tian She’s ears.

Indeed… only those tempered by “reality” could show such vibrant spirit.

If he got the chance, maybe he should return to that “reality” and take a look?

“What’s he thinking?” Qing Long asked.

Tian She froze, lifting his head to speak, but then suddenly remembered some taboo. He quickly averted his eyes from Qing Long’s gaze, his expression becoming evasive again.

Having to dodge everyone’s eyes like this… it exhausted Tian She completely.

“He… he… he’s thinking…”

Tian She hesitated for a long time. He knew Tian Zhu’s mind was fixated on “activating the Kui Lei” again, but if Qing Long found out, Tian Zhu would have no chance left.

“Speak.” Qing Long demanded coldly.

Tian She paused for a few more seconds before slowly saying:

“He… wants to kill you…”

As soon as the words were out, both Tian Zhu and Qing Long furrowed their brows.

“How interesting…” Qing Long said with a maniacal grin, “Even with all those holes I poked in you, you still have the will to fight. I’d love to keep you alive if possible, but I’ve had my fun.”

Tian Zhu let out a light laugh, and in his mind, a silent “thank you” drifted toward Tian She.

Under Tian She’s shocked gaze, Tian Zhu propped himself up on his knees and stood again. Knowing someone was on his side, even if just with a tiny bit of help, restored a sliver of his “belief.”

Tian Zhu swung his right arm, striking at Qing Long from a distance.

His arm grew with the wind, expanding several times in half a second. The massive fist tore through the air toward Qing Long.

Qing Long reached out to block it, but the sudden burst of light from the fist blinded him for a moment.

He heard a flood of “echoes” rushing into his ears. It seemed Tian Zhu was going all in.

In the blinding light, Qing Long closed his eyes and swung his arm forcefully, catching the enormous fist head-on.

Bang!

“Your ultimate move ends here.” Qing Long laughed.

But only Tian She knew that Tian Zhu had released all his “echoes” at once to cover up the Kui Lei.

Qiao Jiajin and Zhang Shan were squatting on the ground, examining the corpse.

The next second, the corpse shot up like a puppet reconnected to its strings, rising in a bizarre pose.

The two men were completely caught off guard by the corpse moving again and both yelped in surprise as they fell back onto the ground.

“Damn!”

Zhang Shan prided himself on having a strong nerve, but with the corpse dying and reviving, reviving and dying, it was hard not to be scared.

“Tattooed guy… don’t be afraid, okay?” Zhang Shan nudged Qiao Jiajin and clumsily got to his feet.

“The hell, when was I scared?” Qiao Jiajin stood up immediately, “I just suddenly felt like sitting down, big guy. Don’t go shouting nonsense.”
