"That's great..." Tian Tian let out a sigh of relief after hearing it. "If it can 'Hui Xiang,' then it can help Qi Xia."
Zheng Yingxiong nodded in response, suddenly feeling as though he wasn't lying at all—just doing his best to help others.
He seemed to have transformed into the most powerful statue in the center of the wishing well, where whatever he said could make anyone wealthy, so how could that count as lying?
Tian Tian asked, "Yingxiong, do you want to team up later?"
"No," Zheng Yingxiong shook his head. "I feel like some kind of seal is lifting here. I'm gradually picking up on everyone's scents."
"Is that so?" Tian Tian nodded. "That's wonderful. Our team is lucky to have you."
"Mm... You go ahead with what you're doing, sis. I'll head out first."
Zheng Yingxiong left Tian Tian's room and quickly decided on his next target.
Now that the preliminary rehearsal was over, he had to find Han Yimo right away. After all, this was the simplest task, and only by completing it could he possibly have a chance to chat with Chen Junnan.
But Zheng Yingxiong never expected that when he found Han Yimo, Chen Junnan was standing right there with him.
Both of them were in the "Bei Zhan Qu," and Han Yimo looked a bit bruised and swollen, as if he'd been through something rough.
This left Zheng Yingxiong in a tough spot...
The easiest task and the hardest one were right there together... What should he do?
"What's up?" Chen Junnan asked. "Back from the front lines with some advice?"
Zheng Yingxiong scratched his head and started quickly calculating his next move. The best plan would be to pull Han Yimo aside to another room and announce his "Qing Xiang."
But would Chen Junnan just let them go without asking any questions?
Seeing Zheng Yingxiong stay silent for a while, Chen Junnan began to feel something was off.
He slowly stepped forward, smiling as he bent down and asked, "Little guy, are you not feeling well?"
Zheng Yingxiong frowned at that. "Chen Junnan, you're being a bit creepy."
"You little brat, call me bro!" Chen Junnan reached out to pat Zheng Yingxiong's head, but Zheng Yingxiong dodged away.
Zheng Yingxiong knew that dragging this out wasn't going to work. If he didn't come up with a plan soon, he'd get suspected before he could even approach Chen Junnan. So, he took a deep breath and said, "Chen Junnan, I'm not here for you. I'm here for him."
He pointed at Han Yimo nearby.
"Me...?" Han Yimo was stunned.
"Yeah." Zheng Yingxiong nodded. "I have something to say to him, so we need to go to the next room."
Chen Junnan's expression turned a bit uneasy after hearing that, sensing the situation might be awkward. After all, there was a tricky issue at hand—
Did Zheng Yingxiong know that Han Yimo was a mole...?
Chen Junnan had a lot of worries. First, he was afraid Zheng Yingxiong might blindly trust Han Yimo and let the team suffer because of it. Or worse, that Zheng Yingxiong had figured out Han Yimo's mole identity and would expose him right there.
Han Yimo was at a delicate balance point mentally. The team couldn't trust him too much, but they also couldn't publicly call him out.
Although it seemed like everyone except him knew he was a mole, he needed to keep playing that role smoothly and confidently.
If he realized his cover was completely blown, he might switch sides to Qi Xia's camp for his own safety. And if Han Yimo truly became loyal to Qi Xia, that would be a catastrophic blow to everyone. Some people couldn't be enemies or allies—they had to remain moles.
"Wait... hold on, kid." Chen Junnan reached out to calm Zheng Yingxiong. "Whatever it is, why not say it here? I can give you some advice."
Zheng Yingxiong thought to himself, "As expected." Getting Chen Junnan to let him go was wishful thinking.
"Chen Junnan... this matter..." Zheng Yingxiong stammered, "It's not convenient to say in front of you. I need to talk to Han Yimo alone."
Chen Junnan thought, "Oh no," figuring that based on what Zheng Yingxiong was saying, it was probably related to the "mole."
Han Yimo looked puzzled at the two of them exchanging cryptic words, sensing the atmosphere growing tense.
But he had no idea what they were talking about and just stared at them blankly.
"How about this..." Chen Junnan said, "You tell me what you two are going to chat about. If it doesn't interest me, I won't tag along."
Zheng Yingxiong paused and replied, "It's about 'Hui Xiang.'"
As soon as Chen Junnan heard it was about "Hui Xiang," he knew it was pretty much set. After all, Han Yimo's "Hui Xiang" was "Zhao Zai," one of the most powerful weapons in this game—though it only worked against enemies that could be "Zhao Zai."
If Zheng Yingxiong wanted to talk to him alone, it had to be about "Zhao Zai." But how could he subtly convince Zheng Yingxiong to drop it?
For a moment, neither of them could think of a good solution, and they just stood there in silence.
"Forget it..." Zheng Yingxiong sighed. "I knew this wouldn't work."
Zheng Yingxiong realized he couldn't handle Chen Junnan, but to avoid making the task fail too badly, he at least needed to deal with Han Yimo.
"Won't work...?"
"Chen Junnan, I'll be straight with you." Zheng Yingxiong said, "I just don't want to talk to you right now. I only want to talk to Han Yimo."
"Huh? Why's that?" Chen Junnan asked. "Do I come across as bad at conversation?"
"Anyway, I don't want to talk to you. Go wherever you want." Zheng Yingxiong grabbed Han Yimo's arm. "Come with me. I really have something to tell you."
The moment he grabbed Han Yimo, Zheng Yingxiong's nose was hit by a strong scent again. He turned his head and saw that it seemed to be coming from Qiao Ji Jin, who was lying against the wall.
The smell was overwhelmingly thick, almost tangible.
It was the thick fragrance of "Po Wan Fa."
It looked like this person had found his "trigger" in his sleep and was fully convinced that he had gained "Hui Xiang."
Zheng Yingxiong quickly covered his nose, his voice muffled as he said, "Han Yimo, let's go."
Seeing the two rush out like they were fleeing, Chen Junnan seemed to piece something together... Why was Zheng Yingxiong covering his nose and running?
Chen Junnan lifted his own arm to sniff it but didn't detect any odor.
Once they reached the next room, Zheng Yingxiong steadied his breathing and said to Han Yimo, "I've smelled your Qing Xiang... You've 'Hui Xiang'ed."
"Huh?" Han Yimo was stunned for a few seconds before blurting out, "What do you mean I've 'Hui Xiang'ed? Who are you...?"
"I..."
Zheng Yingxiong blinked and began patiently explaining his ability, telling the other that he was the "Ju Zhong" here, able to know everyone's "Hui Xiang."
The reason he pulled Han Yimo out of the room was because the others hadn't "Hui Xiang'ed" yet, and saying it in front of them might make them feel inferior.
