Chapter Fifty-One: Human and Ghost, Different Paths

The old man stroked his beard and remained silent.

Ning Caichen smiled faintly and said, "Old sir, you don't need to say it, I already know the answer."

The old man sighed.

Ning Caichen continued, "Old sir, since that is the case, I won't stay any longer. I have something important to attend to. Please bid farewell to Miss Nie and others for me. If fate allows, we may meet again in the future."

"Ning… Little Brother Ning…" The old man seemed hesitant, as if he wanted to say something but stopped.

Ning Caichen gently cupped his hands in salute and said, "Old sir, goodbye."

The old man watched as Ning Caichen turned and left, his figure disappearing from view. He stood silently for a long time before letting out a long sigh.

Just as Ning Caichen walked out of the study, Nie Xiaoqian and Xiao Qing came over.

Nie Xiaoqian asked, "Young Master Ning, are you leaving?"

Ning Caichen nodded and said, "Yes, I have something important to attend to, so I can't stay any longer. Miss Nie, thank you for taking care of me during this time."

Xiao Qing's eyes welled up with tears, and she said, "Young Master Ning, are you really leaving? Can't you stay for a few more days?"

Ning Caichen smiled and said, "Xiao Qing, I appreciate your kindness. However, I really have to go. Take care of yourselves."

Nie Xiaoqian looked at Ning Caichen with a complicated expression. After a long silence, she said, "Young Master Ning, may your journey be safe. If there is anything you need in the future, feel free to come back here. We will always welcome you."

Ning Caichen was touched by her words. He nodded and said, "Thank you, Miss Nie. I will remember your kindness."

He took one last look at Nie Xiaoqian and Xiao Qing, then turned and walked out of the courtyard.

As he walked out of the gate of the mansion, Ning Caichen felt a sense of relief. He knew that his time in this place was over. He had learned a lot, and he had also made some difficult decisions.

He took a deep breath of the fresh air outside and looked up at the sky. The sun was shining brightly, and the clouds were drifting lazily. He felt a sense of freedom and liberation.
