Chapter 2897: Single Combat Against Nine Emperors (IV)

"You court death."

E Mo Di sneered sinisterly, his emperor's might shattering the heavens and the earth.

Puff! Puff! Puff!

Bright blood flowers bloomed once more across the starry sky. The supreme peaks were nearly wiped out completely. Finding another Dou Di in the myriad heavens was essentially hopeless.

Boom!

As E Mo Di continued his slaughter, he suddenly saw a section of the starry sky explode, and the vanished Tian Zun Yi Ji reappeared in the world.

Then, a figure in purple robes stepped out from within, his face indistinct and shrouded in chaos. His body was encircled by Hun Dun principles, with the sounds of Hun Dun Tian Yin echoing forth. From him emanated a power of destruction capable of slaying emperors.

Indeed, it was the Hun Dun Ti. He had entered the Tian Zun Yi Ji earlier and only emerged today, having reached the pinnacle of Zhǔn Dì.

His mission was the same as that of Ming Jue and Bai Zhi: the Yi Ji was passed down from Dao Zu, containing the emperor-level power left by Dao Zu. In this era and across the entire Wan Yu Zhu Tian, only this Hun Dun Ti could fuse with it.

Boom!

The Hun Dun Ti stood firm and struck out with a palm across the heavens, clashing directly with E Mo Di and forcing him to stagger backward.

Yet, the Hun Dun Ti's own palm bones shattered from the impact.

After all, he was not yet an emperor.

Both being at the pinnacle of Zhǔn Dì and at great accomplishment, this great accomplishment Hun Dun Ti differed slightly from Ye Chen's great accomplishment Sheng Ti.

He achieved great accomplishment without the Da Cheng Men;

Ye Chen achieved great accomplishment with the Da Cheng Men.

Their realms were on the same level, but their combat prowess was not comparable.

Or rather, it depended on the opponent.

History had long concluded that a great accomplishment Sheng Ti could defeat a Da Di, a Da Di could defeat a great accomplishment Hun Dun Ti, and a great accomplishment Hun Dun Ti could defeat a great accomplishment Sheng Ti.

Such was the cycle of the heavenly dao, where one thing counters another.

As for this era, it was an exception.

The great accomplishment Sheng Ti Ye Chen was far too heaven-defying, having shattered the established rules completely—not just shattered them, but obliterated them. He could not only slaughter Zhi Zun, battle nine peak emperors, but also defeat a great accomplishment Hun Dun Ti.

"A mere Hun Dun Ti, who gave you the right to attack me?"

Having been pushed back by a palm, E Mo Di raged in fury.

The Hun Dun Ti remained silent, aware that Ji Ning Shuang was undergoing her tribulation, that Ye Chen was fighting the nine peak emperors, and that the battles across the heavens were utterly brutal. He knew all of this, even while in the Tian Zun Yi Ji, he could sense it.

The reason he emerged now was to fuse with the emperor-level power.

Like Ming Jue and Bai Zhi, he had not fully fused it. Had E Mo Di not suddenly arrived, he would likely still be in the Yi Ji continuing the fusion.

"You and I are destined to perish for her."

"The words from back then have come true."

Gazing toward the distant, ethereal expanse and at Ye Chen, who was desperately battling the nine emperors, the Hun Dun Ti murmured with a smile.

The "her" he referred to was Ji Ning Shuang.

Ye Chen was fighting to protect the path for Yao Chi.

He, at this moment, would do the same. Once the battle began, he would surely meet his end.

As for Ye Chen, he might hold out until Yao Chi became an emperor.

But that hope was infinitely close to despair. Once the Xue Ji Xian Jie state faded and the support of immortality vanished, Ye Chen would undoubtedly die.

After all, Ye Chen had not yet undergone the great accomplishment tribulation, making his great accomplishment incomplete.

Boom!

E Mo Di launched his attack.

Being ignored by a minor Zhǔn Dì was infuriating. He fused thousands of emperor techniques into a single palm, striking across the heavens with power that could collapse the world.

The Hun Dun Ti instantly focused his gaze, offering up his Yuan Shen to unleash the emperor-level power. Gripping the Hun Dun, he struck a second time, shattering the Di Yin and once again forcing E Mo Di to stagger back. Before E Mo Di could steady himself, the Hun Dun Ti flashed forward, his Hun Dun Dao Jian unmatched, nearly cleaving E Mo Di in two and shocking E Mo Di to his core.

Are the people of the heavens all such monsters?

One minor Sheng Ti battling nine emperors alone.

One minor Hun Dun Ti nearly splitting him apart.

"No, it's the emperor-level power."

E Mo Di narrowed his eyes, his emperor's insight quickly seeing through the truth.

The Hun Dun Ti's own combat strength was not enough to slay an emperor, but the terrifying emperor-level divine power he bore could extinguish Zhi Zun.

"Ultimately, it's just external force."

E Mo Di snorted coldly, reforming his imperial body and charging back into battle.

Boom! Bang! Boom!

Accompanied by thunderous roars, the war erupted here as well—the great accomplishment Hun Dun Ti facing off against the Da Di alone.

The emperor was like a demonic god, while he was like a war god, mounting attack after attack without defense or regard for cost. He knew he could not hold out long, which drove him to such madness. With his Yuan Shen already sacrificed, regardless of victory or defeat, he would perish, intent on dragging this E Mo Di down with him in death.

Puff! Puff! Puff!

The battle was savage, blood light piercing the soul.

Emperor blood mixed with Hun Dun blood, splattering across the starry sky. The Hun Dun Ti pinned E Mo Di firmly in place, denying him any chance to breathe, relentlessly driving him back and aiming to blast him into oblivion.

Ah!

E Mo Di howled in rage, his hair disheveled and his former majesty gone. His blood and bones flew apart; not only could he no longer target Ji Ning Shuang, but even self-preservation was a struggle.

The Hun Dun Ti opposite him was a madman, maddening enough to make even E Mo Di's heart tremble. This was not about winning or losing—it was about life and death!

The Tian Ming two emperors remained silent, as if they had anticipated this.

Ming Jue bore the mission of Ming Di.

Bai Zhi bore the mission of Di Huang.

The Hun Dun Ti also bore the mission of Dao Zu. As the only Hun Dun Ti in the Ren Jie, from the day of his birth, he could not escape his fate—to die for the heavens and all living beings.

Dao Zu's heart was filled with sorrow, seeing his disciple's head full of white hair, his own heart aching with pain. Among all his disciples and grandchildren, he cherished this one the most.

In this battle, his disciple would die, his body and spirit utterly destroyed.

Ming Di's laugh was somewhat self-mocking.

In the heavens' great calamity, one fresh life after another struggled in blood and despair, crying out for their emperors to save the pitiful masses.

Yet, as emperors themselves, they could only remain spectators.

Through endless ages and endless changes, they had witnessed catastrophe after catastrophe, hardship after hardship, making them feel that being an emperor was nothing but a joke, a colossal joke.

Boom! Bang! Boom!

As Dao Zu grieved and Ming Di mocked himself, the thunderous sounds continued unabated.

More rifts in the Cang Miao exploded open, from each emerging a blood-stained figure, all from the Tai Gu Lu. There were the First Mai Da Cheng Sheng Ti, Tian Mo Da Di, E Mo Da Di, totaling over a dozen.

Fortunately, these Zhi Zun did not fall into the Ren Jie but into the Tian Ming two realms.

"War!"

Ming Di roared, shaking the universe, venting the stifled frustration in his heart. He suddenly turned and charged at the invading Zhi Zun, his emperor-level power instantly surging to its absolute peak.

Bang!

Dao Zu did the same. He could only watch the battles in the heavens without participating, but with invaders from Tian Jie, it was different.

The previous helplessness would now become total destruction.

"This is...?"

"Hong Jun?"

"Ming?"

Boom! Bang! Boom!

Before the fallen Tian Mo Di, E Mo Di, and First Mai Da Cheng Sheng Ti could react, they were met with Dao Zu and Ming Di's emperor-level assaults. In a single exchange, each side had an initial-level emperor reduced to ash by a palm.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The fluctuations of the great battle grew even more immense.

The Ren Jie was at war, Tian Jie was at war, and Ming Jie was at war.

Also engaged in battle was the Tai Gu Lu.

The headless Zhu Tian Ren had passed his emperor tribulation and achieved the Dao as an emperor.

Unfortunately, he remained without a head, a flawed emperor.

Even so, he was formidable enough, facing siege from over a dozen emperors, including peak ones, yet none could overcome him.

Di Huang and Hong Yan were not present, having been swept away by Qian Kun to different directions, where they too were fighting.

Di Huang faced a First Mai Da Cheng Sheng Ti, while Hong Yan confronted two mid-level emperors.

The three-way battle shook the Tai Gu Lu, the already murky heavens flashing with lightning and thunder, accompanied by more destructive omens. Every strand of light that fell was tinged with blood, shrouded in apocalyptic hues.

This day was the most chaotic of all.

War raged everywhere, across the three realms of heaven, earth, and the underworld, as well as the Tai Gu Lu, with emperor-level battlefields determined to fight to the death.
