Chapter 2633: Changing Ownership For You

Ye Chen arrived once more below Songshan's city walls. This time, he didn't bother to conceal his appearance. Everyone knew it was him, so there was no need to hide.

"It's Ye Chen! Quick, shoot him down!"

The soldiers on Songshan's city walls cried out in alarm, drawing their bows and notching arrows. The attack formations activated, and magical artifacts filled the air, radiating destructive immortal light.

Ye Chen ignored it all, striding through the sky. The moment the attacks reached him, he activated Di Dao Heian for protection. All assaults were swallowed by spatial black holes, providing absolute defense. To harm him, they would need to overcome the black holes, which they clearly couldn't.

"Di Dao Heian?"

Songshan Dianzhu frowned, his sharp eyes recognizing the immortal technique Ye Chen was using. Ye Chen had employed it before when he forced his way into the heavenly prison and was surrounded, though it was ultimately broken by Tianting's immortals.

"Reinforce the barriers!"

Songshan Dianzhu roared, well aware of the mysteries of Di Dao Heian. Without mastering black hole secrets, they couldn't hurt Ye Chen. No matter how many attacks they launched, it would be in vain.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Ye Chen's steps were heavy, each one causing the universe to tremble. He was the first in countless ages to dare approach so boldly; even Tianting's immortal venerables lacked such daring.

His brow furrowed slightly.

The Di Dao Heian he invoked didn't last long. Its duration was halved compared to the various heavens, and its power was significantly diminished.

It seemed the suppression of the heavenly realm still persisted. Even with imperial essence fueling it, he couldn't fully eliminate the restraints, resulting in reduced potency of his immortal techniques. The same likely applied to abilities like "one thought eternity."

However, that didn't matter much, as long as he could use them. Even with greatly weakened power, they remained supreme Di Dao immortal techniques, which was sufficient.

The attacks from Songshan watched helplessly as Ye Chen advanced. They still vividly remembered his first visit, when he kept slamming into the walls relentlessly.

Under the gaze of thousands, Ye Chen's pace quickened, like a divine ray shooting forward. The soldiers' mouths twitched as they watched – was he going for the walls again?

Unfortunately, there was no thunderous crash this time. The instant he made contact with the city walls and the protective barrier, Ye Chen invoked Di Dao Piaomiao, his body instantly turning ethereal and effortlessly passing through the defenses into Songshan's territory.

"Damn it, stop him!"

Songshan Dianzhu bellowed, charging forward with his great halberd, his killing intent surging. He had underestimated Ye Chen, who completely disregarded the city walls and barriers.

Ye Chen didn't even glance at him, simply swinging his staff in a flip that sent Songshan Dianzhu flying. Before the Dianzhu could regain his footing, a chilling divine light pierced toward him.

Thud!

Blood sprayed as the divine light pierced straight through Songshan Dianzhu's brow, instantly destroying his origin soul and true form. Only his corpse plummeted from the sky.

"Damn you!"

Songshan's experts roared in fury, swarming toward Ye Chen with magical artifacts, sword beams, and shadows filling the air and pressing down on him.

Ye Chen acted as if he heard nothing, his body flickering between illusion and solidity as he once again summoned the Di Dao Heian phenomenon. He charged straight through, heading directly for Songshan's core, his target being Songshan Zhangjiao.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

In his path, Songshan's experts exploded one after another, while others were swallowed into the black holes of Di Dao Heian. No one could halt his advance.

"Stop him! I command you to stop him!"

From within Songshan's grand hall, Songshan Zhangjiao's furious roar echoed. The hall featured an illusory water screen displaying Ye Chen's figure, like a world-conquering demon god rampaging unstoppably.

"What a spectacle, truly a grand show."

Songshan's Grand Elder laughed lightly, his words casual, but his eyes grew thick with sorrow and indignation – not toward Ye Chen, but toward Songshan Zhangjiao.

Ye Chen's reason for attacking was crystal clear. Among so many factions, why target Songshan specifically? It was no coincidence; Songshan had struck Huashan first. If Songshan could attack Huashan, why couldn't Huashan retaliate? It was simply returning the favor.

"You've gone too far!"

Songshan Zhangjiao thundered, glaring at the Grand Elder with murderous intent. At this critical moment, how dare he speak so mockingly?

The Grand Elder sneered coldly but didn't respond. The killing light in his eyes was even more intense than Songshan Zhangjiao's. You caused such devastating losses to Songshan, yet as Zhangjiao, you feel no remorse?

In the hall, the atmosphere turned oppressively tense due to the standoff between Zhangjiao and the Grand Elder. With an external enemy invading, the two seemed ready to fight each other.

As they confronted one another, a ghostly figure stepped in from outside the hall. With flowing white hair and a fluttering bloodstained robe, he carried a dripping iron staff, exuding a cold and overwhelming killing aura, like a death god from the nine underworlds.

"Ye Chen!"

The elders' expressions changed drastically as they drew their killing swords. In just that brief moment without watching the water screen, Ye Chen had already entered.

Ye Chen ignored everyone, focusing only on Songshan's Grand Elder, and spoke leisurely,

"Senior, if I help you become Zhangjiao, what would you do?"

"Alliance with Huashan and never be enemies with them again."

The Grand Elder of Huashan laughed, possessing a certain composure and showing no fear of Ye Chen.

"In that case, you shall be Songshan's Zhangjiao."

Ye Chen said indifferently, gripping his iron staff as he slowly approached Songshan Zhangjiao.

"Trouble the senior to step aside. If you're not fit to lead, don't drag your soldiers down with you."

The Tenth Emperor of Da Chu spoke with such erudition, openly orchestrating a coup and seizing power, yet making it sound effortlessly casual.

There was no helping it – who else was as powerful as him?

He was extraordinarily strong, to the point where even Songshan's Zhangjiao turned pale and bloodless. With every step Ye Chen took, Zhangjiao retreated one, his eyes filled with terror and his body trembling uncontrollably, overwhelmed by Ye Chen's killing aura.

"Scoundrel!"

Before Songshan Zhangjiao could speak, the Second Elder roared and charged from the side like a ghost, slashing with his sword – clearly a loyal protector.

He wasn't the only one; many other elders joined the charge, several hundred in total, all from Zhangjiao's faction, including supreme elders. Did they think Songshan's Zhangjiao could be replaced so easily?

Ye Chen didn't even glance sideways, keeping his eyes fixed on Songshan Zhangjiao while continuing his advance, swinging his staff repeatedly. Each strike drew blood, and each was stronger than the last.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

The hall ran red with blood, especially the Second Elder, who was smashed to pieces by a single staff strike, his body destroyed and his origin soul extinguished, vanishing completely.

Those loyal elders fared no better; anyone who rushed at Ye Chen was blasted apart. No one could withstand even one of his strikes, and blooms of crimson blood flowers spread throughout the hall.

The scene was gruesomely bloody, like a slaughterhouse.

"Kill him! Kill him for me!"

Songshan Zhangjiao howled and roared, retreating further, his pupils contracting and eyes bulging. In his vision, Ye Chen was no longer just Ye Chen but a naked god of slaughter.

Meanwhile, Songshan's Grand Elder stood silently, his eyes filled with pity but unmoving. What was the point of moving? No one was a match for Ye Chen.

Songshan had to change leadership.

Otherwise, the destruction would not stop at a few elders or Dianzhus – it could wipe out the entire Songshan lineage from the world. Ye Chen had both the ability and the resolve to do so.

Since even he remained still, the neutral elders said nothing, merely sighing and averting their eyes. A change in leadership might at least preserve Songshan's heritage.

No one knew when the slaughter ceased.

In the hall, no one dared attack Ye Chen anymore. Charging in now would be sheer folly – self-preservation came first.

In fact, everyone cleared a path for him. This man had killed with abandon; only a fool would provoke him.

With no one to protect him, Songshan Zhangjiao trembled violently, retreating until he reached the hall's edge and stumbled to the ground.

"The five sacred mountains share a common origin, yet you love being Tianting's lapdogs. I'll send you to paradise."

Ye Chen said calmly, advancing at a steady pace, his Ruyi Jingu Bang still dripping with fresh blood.

"You're just too monstrous, monstrous enough to terrify me. Huashan must be destroyed, and you must die."

Whether from fear or rage, Songshan Zhangjiao suddenly rose, his eyes bloodshot as he screamed hysterically, finally voicing his true thoughts.

"And even if you destroy me, even if you wipe out Huashan, do you think Tianting will spare Songshan?"

Ye Chen halted, looking indifferently at Songshan Zhangjiao.

"In your eyes, am I truly more terrifying than Yin Ming?"

"Victory and defeat are all that matter; words are useless."

Songshan Zhangjiao grinned maliciously, glancing sideways at Songshan's Grand Elder and the other elders in the hall.

"On the road to the underworld, I won't be lonely. One day, all of you will meet a miserable end at Ye Chen's hands."

"I'm not Yin Ming."

Ye Chen said indifferently, sweeping his staff to finish off Songshan Zhangjiao. It was the plain truth. In the heavenly realm, he was merely a passerby, with little interest in power, whether in his past or present life. Even if he became the realm's ruler, he wouldn't slaughter innocents without cause. If he wanted to exterminate them, no one in the hall could escape.

With the Zhangjiao destroyed, the hall fell into silence.

Ye Chen turned and walked away, staff in hand, his bloodstained back strikingly vivid, his surging killing aura impossible to suppress.

"Impressive!"

A Huashan spy in the hall watched Ye Chen's departing figure, sighing in admiration.

Huashan's future Zhangjiao was no ordinary force. He came alone, slew Songshan's Zhangjiao, and secured the next one – all while unstoppable on arrival and departure.

"With me as Zhangjiao, I assume no one will object."

After a long while, Songshan's Grand Elder stepped up to the Zhangjiao position, overlooking those below. His words were calm, but his gaze already carried the authority of a leader.

"No objections."

The Huashan spy was the first to smile and agree.

"No objections."

Those from the Grand Elder's faction echoed in unison. They had waited too long for this day and finally achieved it – how could they not support him?

The Grand Elder said nothing, glancing toward one side where many elders still stood – those from Songshan Zhangjiao's faction, whom Ye Chen had not completely eliminated.

"No... objections."

Under his gaze, those elders all bowed and saluted. What was the use of objecting? The Zhangjiao was dead, and their faction had been decimated. In terms of strength, they were already crushed, and with a terrifying figure like Ye Chen backing the new leader, whoever he supported would become Zhangjiao. Any dissent might invite another deadly visit.
