Chapter 2114: Give Some Face

Chapter 2114: Give Me Some Face

Late at night, two figures departed from Tianxuan Men. It goes without saying, it was Ye Chen and Ye Ling.

Da Chu’s tenth Emperor, the clever young master Ye, was limping, his face bruised and swollen, clutching his lower back as he walked.

Compared to him, Ye Ling was in high spirits, skipping along with a cheerful disposition, clearly in a good mood.

Under the moonlight, a half-dead father and his lively daughter stood side by side, presenting a rather unique scene.

"Old dad, let's come back in a couple of days. I'll handle the stealing, and you can take the beating."

Upon hearing this, Ye Chen's mouth twitched uncontrollably. A mouthful of blood surged in his chest, unsure whether to spit it out or swallow it. What a filial daughter! Don't you know that everyone at Tianxuan Men is a lunatic? If we come back a few more times as you suggest, I'll be beaten to death.

On the journey home, Ye Chen’s walk was quite difficult.

Fortunately, those of the Sacred Body lineage were resilient and possessed powerful recovery abilities. Before dawn broke, he was already lively and bouncing around.

As they reached a vast wilderness, Ye Chen halted his steps.

This was the Ancient Wilderness, a place steeped in history.

Back then, in order to buy time for Yang Dingtian and the others to take control of Hengyue, he had challenged Yin Zhiping right here. That battle was exceptionally tough, mainly because Yin Zhiping was a ninety percent host with a demonic heart, and even Ye Chen had nearly met his end.

He stopped here because there was treasure in this place.

More precisely, the spatial black hole here contained treasure.

It was Chaos Qi. In the past, when his foundation was weak, he had been nearly crushed by it after entering the black hole, and the memory still lingered. Had it not been for Zixuan's rescue, he would have perished in a great reincarnation cycle. This treasure had to be acquired.

A breeze brushed past, and he used the Heavenly Dao to enter the black hole.

The Chaos Qi remained, like a vast ocean, shimmering with primordial light and surging ferociously. Every strand felt as heavy as a mountain. Looking closely, one could discern faint chaotic phenomena, and listening intently, one could faintly hear the profound sounds of the Great Dao weaving together.

"Is that... Chaos Qi?" Tang San Shao poked his head out of the cauldron, licking his lips, his eyes shining brightly. That was a heaven-defying divine object—it could refine weapons, merge with the Dao, evolve phenomena, and divide Dao principles. It was absolutely priceless.

He never expected that a spatial black hole in Da Chu would contain a sea of chaos.

Yang Xuan and the others didn't know what Chaos Qi was, but from Tang San Shao’s expression, they could tell it was something extremely valuable.

Ye Chen waved his hand and moved everyone into a bronze furnace.

Then, he activated the Chaos Cauldron.

The great Chaos Cauldron hummed, seemingly excited, instantly growing as massive as a mountain peak. With its mouth facing downward, it swallowed the surging Chaos Qi in waves. The Chaos Divine Cauldron paired with Chaos Qi was a perfect match.

When Ye Chen emerged again, it was already broad daylight.

Some cultivators passed by the Ancient Wilderness and saw Ye Chen, freezing in surprise, thinking they had seen wrong.

Ye Chen smiled and took a step into the sky, heading straight for Hengyue. Even as he walked far away, he could still hear the howls behind him: "The Holy Lord is back! The tenth emperor of Da Chu is back!"

That shout carried Yuan Shen power, spreading endlessly across the eight directions.

Many people heard it, and even more spread the word. The news of Ye Chen's return spread like wings, reaching every corner of Da Chu.

It had been one hundred and seventy years. The tenth emperor of Da Chu had been gone for one hundred and seventy years, and his return caused quite a stir. Already, many talents were traveling together, planning to go to Hengyue for a free meal, mainly to see just how powerful Ye Chen, now advanced to Great Saint, had become.

In the void, Ye Chen flew through the air. Through the haze, he could vaguely discern Hengyue.

That spiritual mountain was as wondrous as it was in his memories.

"Ningshuang, we're home." Ye Chen released the seal on Ji Ningshuang. It was daytime now, so she was in her normal state. If it were night, she couldn't be let out, or it would cause chaos in the world.

Ji Ningshuang awoke and stepped out of the bronze furnace. Her cheeks were still flushed, but her beautiful eyes were misty with tears. Ye Chen had been away for one hundred and seventy years, and so had she. How could she not miss home and their child?

"You little one, we're home." In the furnace, Ye Ling picked up Xiao Yang Lan and pointed toward Hengyue.

Xiao Yang Lan blinked her big eyes, full of curiosity. The spiritual mountain in her view was beautiful and dreamy.

"We're home." Tang San Shao chuckled happily, drawing looks of disdain from Yang Xuan and the others. You, a dark lump, standing with Ye Chen and Ye Ling—how do you look like family?

As they spoke, the group shot forward like beams of divine light, flying into the Hengyue spiritual mountain.

Soon after, cries like a pig being slaughtered rang out: "Hurry, hurry, that jerk is back!"

It was Xiong Er and his group, who had heard the news. Their welcome was as fierce as ever—they didn't even use names, just called him a jerk. Yang Xuan and the others couldn't help but twitch their mouths at the sound. They'd heard Da Chu had a rough and tough culture, and now they saw it firsthand—these people were all characters.

Funny as it was, Xiong Er and his crew had good judgment. They didn't go up to Jade Maiden Peak. After all, more than a hundred years had passed; they should let the family reunite properly. Once things settled, they could drag him out for a good beating.

Ye Chen landed, setting foot on Jade Maiden Peak after one hundred and seventy years. His eyes were filled with tears.

All the women were there, and upon seeing him return, they came over one by one.

"Did you miss me?" Ye Chen stepped forward, smiling warmly, and opened his arms wide, ready to give his wives a big hug and stir up some emotion.

But awkwardly, as soon as he approached, Chu Xuan pushed him away with one hand.

The other women did the same, completely ignoring him and focusing only on Ji Ningshuang, their eyes filled with tears and smiles. It had been one hundred and seventy years; they thought she was dead, and now here she was, alive and well. It felt almost unreal.

Ji Ningshuang didn't speak; she just smiled through her tears. Everything was unspoken.

"Old father-in-law, isn't this awkward?"

"Awkward." Ye Chen took a deep breath, his words heavy with meaning. There he stood, watching the women cry and laugh, yet not a single one came to say a word to him. Not even a glance—it was as if he were invisible.

"Mom!" The emotional scene was broken by a childish call.

Xiao Ye Fan had woken up and come out of the room. He spotted Ji Ningshuang at once, reaching out his little hands and toddling over happily.

Ji Ningshuang was stunned, her expression full of surprise. It had been one hundred and seventy years—why was he still so small? Hadn't he grown at all? He looked just like when she left, around two or three years old.

"It's because of the Lone Star of the Heavenly Slaughter." Ye Chen smiled and sent a mental message.

"You knew all along?"

"Surprised?"

"Very surprised." Ji Ningshuang shot him a slightly annoyed look. You've held back the whole way.

"Mom, hug me."

Ji Ningshuang's nose tingled, and she bent down to pick up the child, tears flowing uncontrollably. Even if he had turned into a child, it let her, as a mother, watch him grow up and make up for the years she missed.

Her feelings mirrored Ye Chen's.

In a way, this father and mother were far from responsible, having missed their child's childhood. Now that Ye Chen had become a child again, it was for the best.

"This dad, you finally remembered to come back?" The women finally turned around, glaring at Ye Chen as one and kicking him collectively. Their movements were perfectly synchronized.

"The child is here; give me some face."

"If the child weren't here, you'd be sent flying."

Yang Xuan in the bronze furnace sighed and clicked his tongue. "So many beautiful women, all taken by that pig." Having one Ji Ningshuang was enviable enough, but there was a whole group of stunning women. How did that shameless Ye Chen get so lucky? It was unbelievable.

"If you badmouth my dad again, I'll make you cry." Ye Ling scolded and flashed out of the furnace.

"If you badmouth my old father-in-law again, I'll beat you to death." Tang San Shao scolded too and followed her out, leaving Yang Xuan twitching his mouth. You little fatty, what's it got to do with you?

Ye Ling and the little fatty's appearance startled the women.

Especially Chu Ling, who wanted to grab a stick at the sight of her precious daughter.

Ye Ling had been gone for a hundred years—or rather, trapped in the City of No Tears for a hundred years. They all knew about it, and as a mother, Chu Ling wasn't worried at all. She deserved some hardship.

"All you moms, did you miss me?" Ye Ling grinned.

The women said nothing, just looking at Ye Ling with strange expressions.

More accurately, they were looking at the Xiao Yang Lan in her arms.

"This little kid—who's is it?" Chu Ling asked tentatively. If Ye Ling had kidnapped her, she'd grab a stick without hesitation and teach this girl a lesson.

"I gave birth to her, with him." Ye Ling grinned and pushed Tang San Shao forward.

"Don't mess around; we haven't even—"

Before Tang San Shao could finish, he was slapped down, landing flat on the ground in a perfect spread-eagle position, knocked out cold.

Chu Ling was the one who struck, and she didn't hold back. Her anger was intense. She'd seen this little fatty before; he'd come to Hengyue more than once, clamoring to marry Ye Ling, and she'd beaten him into a pig's head each time.

This time, she hit even harder. How dare you act so lawless—you're messing with my daughter?

"This little one is so cute."

"Ling'er, she doesn't look like you at all."

"She looks like a little sprite."

The women gathered around Ye Ling, teasing Xiao Yang Lan, and even Ye Chen joined in.

Hilariously, with so many people around, no one bothered to explain for Tang San Shao.

Yang Xuan and the others in the furnace exchanged meaningful looks. That little Ye Ling was a real troublemaker! And this family—didn't they have any pity? The little fatty was almost beaten to death, and they were acting like nothing happened. Was that okay?

It wasn't until sometime later that Chu Ling stopped, still holding a stick and ready to deal with Ye Ling too. You sneaky girl, you went and had a child in secret. How did you get so good at causing chaos? Your mom blinked, and now she's a grandmother.

"Old dad, mom's going to hit me."

"Wife, don't make a scene."

"Get lost."

"She's our family's daughter-in-law." Ye Chen chuckled.

Chu Ling froze, and the women looked confused.

"Who did I offend?" Nearby, Tang San Shao woke up, sitting on the ground and crying with snot and tears. Chu Ling had really made him cry. If it were his kid, a beating would be fair, but it had nothing to do with him—he'd been hammered for no reason. How unjust!

But thinking about it, it wasn't unjust. After all, he was the one who got Ye Ling trapped for a hundred years. Shouldn't her mother beat him?

With that thought, the little fatty felt balanced.

Chu Ling cleared her throat and threw away the stick.

She pitied Tang San Shao, but she was furious with Ye Ling. You little troublemaker, trapped for a hundred years and still causing chaos. Haven't you learned anything?

"Heavenly Slaughter Lone Star." Chu Xuan exclaimed in surprise, as if she had seen through Xiao Yang Lan's fate.

The women all leaned in, examining Xiao Yang Lan closely. She really was a Heavenly Slaughter Lone Star.

"Heavenly Slaughter paired with Heavenly Calamity?" The women turned to Ye Chen in unison.

"A perfect match." Ye Chen smiled leisurely. "Ye Fan turned back into a child because of her."

Hearing this, the women's expressions changed in various ways. They finally understood why Ye Fan had suddenly become a child again. Donghuang Tai Xin had visited a few times but hadn't explained. Now it made sense—it was truly strange. Heavenly Slaughter with Heavenly Calamity? Just thinking about it was fresh.

And so, Chu Xuan held Xiao Yang Lan, and Ji Ningshuang held Xiao Ye Fan. This fated couple finally met.

Surprisingly, they looked quite compatible at first glance—both around two or three years old. One was chubby and pink with bright, clear eyes; the other was plump and sturdy, tiger-like and curious. As they stared at each other, a spark of affection inexplicably ignited.
