Chapter 2153: Reinforcements Arrive

The Taowu Emperor Weapon hummed and vibrated through the nine heavens, weaving together the laws of the Emperor Dao and flashing with apocalyptic light. Terrifying visions materialized one after another, unleashing the devastating power of the Emperor Dao in a concentrated surge.

In that instant, countless people shielded their eyes, for the Emperor Dao’s immortal light was too blinding.

With a thunderous hum, the Taowu Emperor Weapon unleashed a divine beam, like a world-ending immortal light that inverted the cosmos and disrupted yin and yang, making all worldly laws seem illusory.

Explosions erupted, shaking the four seas and eight wastelands.

The Yaochi barrier hummed and trembled violently but did not shatter. Taowu had an Emperor Weapon, but so did Yaochi. The protective mountain barrier set by the Yaochi Empress herself was not so easily broken.

“If you want to fight, then come,” the Yaochi Elder spoke calmly, showing no fear.

“Good, very good,” the Taowu Clan Emperor sneered, ruling over the nine heavens like a lofty god overlooking the mortal world and the Yaochi Immortal Mountain, with the piercing sound of sword cries.

Without needing his order, the Taowu forces blanketing the sky launched another assault. Their faces were more terrifying than demons, licking their blood-red tongues as they eyed their prey. Magical tools, killing formations, immortal beams, and divine abilities all bore down on Yaochi Immortal Mountain at once.

The Xuan Huang cultivators trembled, their hearts in their throats. If the protective barrier fell, the Yaochi Holy Land would face utter destruction, trampled under the Taowu iron hooves.

Thunderous booms resounded across the heavens and earth.

Within the mountains, the Yaochi fairies remained expressionless, having been tempered by the flames of the Heavenly Demon War. None feared the Taowu, for the Empress’s legacy would not disgrace the Yaochi name.

Chen Yi stood gracefully, his expression as calm as still water—making him all the more formidable. He would fight to the death to protect the legacy his sister had left.

Ye Chen was equally composed and at ease. For the Taowu Clan to break through the Yaochi protective barrier would be no simple task. It wasn't underestimating them, but at this rate, it would take three to five days, and while Yaochi could hold out that long, Taowu might not. After all, Yaochi’s allies and the major forces of Xuan Huang had mobilized the moment Taowu attacked, and their arrival was only a matter of time. Once the reinforcements arrived, it would be Yaochi’s turn to counterattack—and the day of Taowu’s downfall.

“Attack! Keep attacking for me,” outside the mountains, the Taowu Emperor roared, losing his patience.

The Taowu army attacked with frenzied vigor, each one like they had been injected with stimulants, hammering away desperately.

The most ferocious was still the Taowu Clan’s Emperor Weapon, with each beam carrying destructive power. If Yaochi Holy Land lacked an Emperor Weapon to guard it, it would likely have already fallen.

The earth-shaking booms were like world-ending thunder, echoing throughout the universe. More cultivators rushed over upon hearing the noise, and upon seeing the scene from afar, their expressions changed dramatically. Yaochi Holy Land, an Emperor Dao inheritance standing in the Eastern Wasteland for endless ages, was being attacked at its gates for the first time.

“At this rate, it will eventually be breached.”

“Where are the major forces of Xuan Huang? Why isn’t anyone coming to help?”

“Damn Taowu, always bullying the weak.”

Amid the discussions, a wave of anger burned in people’s hearts, directed at Taowu. They dared not fight the Heavenly Demons but led their army to attack Yaochi Holy Land.

Though angry, no one dared to step forward. It was simply because Taowu’s forces were too massive. Not to mention Great Sages—even Quasi-Emperors who went would be blasted to ashes in an instant.

Boom! Bang! Boom!

Under the watchful eyes of the world, each thunderous explosion sounded like a death knell from hell.

In the midst of it all, a sense of melancholy settled over people’s gazes.

Such a prestigious Emperor Dao inheritance was being besieged at its doors—truly pitiful. If the Yaochi Empress were still alive, would Taowu dare act so brazenly? Alas, that peerless empress had become dust in history, leaving only legends and myths, struggling beneath the tolling bells of sorrow.

Their state of mind mirrored that of Yaochi. The Yaochi Empress had been so astonishing, yet her inheritance had fallen to such weakness, truly shaming her legacy.

Boom!

In the midst of this melancholy, another thunderous explosion suddenly rang out.

Before the sound faded, a patch of void shattered, and a towering figure stepped out. Bare-chested and wielding a war spear, his deep eyes shone brilliantly, radiating a wild aura that swept across the heavens and earth. His Quasi-Emperor presence oppressed the entire universe.

“Is that… the Wu Clan Emperor?” Many people turned their heads.

“It’s undoubtedly him.” The eyes of the onlookers lit up collectively.

Indeed, Yaochi’s reinforcements had arrived, with the Wu Huang himself leading the charge. The war spear in his hand was his clan’s Emperor Weapon. Behind him, a vast tide of people followed—all Wu Clan experts, each armed with a war spear. Their formation was impressive, though still somewhat outmatched compared to Taowu. But numbers didn’t matter; what counted was the Emperor Weapon backing them.

“This ally is still reliable,” Ye Chen laughed, and the people of Yaochi smiled as well. Taowu had arrived faster than expected, but the allies’ speed was equally swift.

Due to the Wu Clan army’s arrival, Taowu’s bombardment paused temporarily. The Taowu creatures all turned toward them, fearing not the army itself but the Wu Clan’s Emperor Weapon.

The Taowu Clan Emperor’s face darkened instantly. Clearly, these newcomers meant trouble.

“Taowu Clan, quite the grand display,” the Wu Huang chuckled.

“This is a grudge between Taowu and Yaochi. I hope your clan stays out of it,” the Taowu Clan Emperor said coldly. If it came to war, his clan didn’t mind taking on two at once.

“Has the Taowu Clan Emperor lost his mind?” the Wu Huang twisted his neck forcefully. “I brought my troops all this way for nothing? Did you think we were here for a scenic tour?”

“The Wu Huang’s words are music to my ears.” Before the Taowu Clan Emperor could respond, another void exploded. As the words fell, a massive foot stepped out, its weight causing the void to boom. Looking closely, it was a figure in battle armor, carrying a golden blade, with a robust physique and dragon breath swirling around—none other than the Canglong Huang, father of Long Jie.

Behind him, an army followed, with golden dragons transforming into human form under the world’s gaze, each clad in armor and wielding dragon blades.

Now, the Taowu Clan Emperor’s expression grew grave. Taking on two was feasible, but three was troublesome. With three Emperor Weapons against one, Taowu was clearly outmatched.

“They don’t know how to cherish beauty—deserve a beating,” a cold, ethereal female voice echoed.

Under the moonlight, two graceful figures arrived side by side. On the left was the Gu Zu Huang, and on the right, the Ling Zu Huang, each with an Emperor Weapon of their forebears hovering above, making the Taowu Clan Emperor’s face change abruptly.

“Bullying Xuan Huang when it’s weak?” Following the two emperors came two more: the Kui Niu Huang and the Sheng Yuan Huang, charging forward together. One carried a dark gold iron rod, the other a war axe Emperor Weapon, their steps making the azure sky rumble. The Kui Niu Clan’s members were all brimming with bovine ferocity, while the Sheng Yuan Clan’s monkeys had their golden fur standing on end, their domineering aura evoking holy emperors, exuding an innate regal presence.

Boom! Bang!

In mere moments, more clan emperors descended: the five great king clans of the Nan Yu, standing in a row with their Emperor Weapons humming and radiating extreme Emperor Dao power that destroyed heavens and earth.

And it didn’t end there—the Jiu Li Clan arrived, led by the various emperor heirs.

Gulp!

The Xuan Huang cultivators collectively swallowed hard.

Who said there were no reinforcements? Here they were! And not just one force—it nearly encompassed the Bei Yue, Nan Yu, Xi Mo, and Zhong Zhou. All who came brought Emperor Weapons.

Now the situation was quite interesting. Originally, the Taowu Clan had surrounded Yaochi Holy Land, but now, looking up, the major forces had encircled the Taowu from outside.

“All sects, heed my order: Prepare for counterattack,” the Yaochi Elder’s words echoed throughout Yaochi Immortal Mountain, as a resonant immortal sword materialized in his hand, eager to drink blood.

From the Yaochi elders to the disciples, all shared this resolve, their battle intent soaring. With reinforcements here, they no longer feared Taowu. The Empress’s legacy would defend her glory.

All the major forces had arrived, except for those from Da Chu.

Ye Chen scanned around and spotted the Yue Huang and the Di Wu Shen Jiang in a void, with Ji Ning Shuang present as well. As the former Yaochi Divine Maiden, how could she miss this great battle?

The Da Chu experts had no intention of revealing themselves; they remained hidden in the void, ready to unleash thunderous kills, targeting the Quasi-Emperor Taowu one by one.

Glancing at the Taowu Clan Emperor, he was retreating step by step, nearly toppling from his throne. So many forces, so many Emperor Weapons—it was beyond what his clan could withstand.

Looking at the Taowu army, their grotesque faces grew paler than ever, each one realizing this must have been a coordinated trap to gang up on them.

As for the forces that had submitted to Taowu, like the Hun Tian Zong, they couldn’t stop trembling. They thought they had found a powerful backer, but unexpectedly, they were now surrounded. Choosing the wrong side would come at a terrible cost.

Boom! Rumbling!

This stretch of heaven and earth was no longer peaceful. The rumbling wasn’t just from the numbers—it was from the Emperor Weapons, each like a sun, their dazzling light turning the dark night as bright as day.

Notably, the Taowu Emperor Weapon’s glow was the dimmest, jointly suppressed by the others, teetering as if about to fall into the void.

“My clan’s grudge with Yaochi ends here.” The Taowu Clan Emperor finally steadied himself, but he had backed down. He had no choice; continuing the fight would doom the entire Taowu Clan. He had truly underestimated Xuan Huang—they knew how to band together. He thought attacking Yaochi would draw no help and scare off any potential allies, but his Hong Huang style of self-interest didn’t work here. When one side was attacked, they all came.

“You’ve come all this way—don’t think about leaving!” the Kui Niu Huang said casually, blowing on his war axe before wiping it with his sleeve, striving to polish it to a shine. Because soon, it would taste blood. He was joking; now that they were here, did they really expect to walk away?

“Don’t push things too far,” the Taowu Clan Emperor bellowed, his eyes blood-red.

“You’re not even human! We’re all beasts here—we’re monkeys, you’re turtles. You shrinking turtles.” The one speaking with the most refinement was the Sheng Yuan Huang, just like the Kui Niu Huang, focused on polishing his iron rod to a gleam, ready to blind the enemy’s eyes.

“I’ll clarify this: Shrinking turtles are different from us Xuan Wu,” the Xuan Wu Huang said meaningfully, addressing both Taowu and the world. They were two different species—don’t mix them up. When cursing in the future, be careful.

“You… all of you.” The Taowu Clan Emperor trembled, barely able to stand.

This scene made the Xuan Huang cultivators want to laugh. Their several emperors were just too adorable, their back-and-forth banter more damaging than the Emperor Weapons.

“Enough talk—settle old and new grudges together,” the Canglong Huang roared, sacrificing his golden blade Emperor Weapon straight into the nine heavens, bursting with the most brilliant immortal light.

At the same time, the Emperor Weapons of the various forces shot into the void, their Emperor Dao power reviving, crushing through eternity and bearing down on the Taowu Emperor Weapon, with momentum that collapsed the skies and destroyed the earth.
