Chapter 1355: Are You Convinced?

"Retreat, quickly retreat," the Tai Qing Gong Saint shouted at the top of his lungs. Tonight's upheaval was too overwhelming—with Man Shan in front, the Sheng Ti in the rear, and now Ba Wang Long joining the fight, what was the point of continuing?

"Still want to leave?" Man Shan shifted his gaze from Xiao Ling Wa, swung his club, and smashed a Quasi-Saint level expert into bloody pulp, with even the Yuan Shen unable to escape annihilation. His ferocity remained as fierce as ever.

"Quick battle, quick decision." Ye Chen gripped Chi Xiao and charged straight at a Saint, his attacks overbearingly unparalleled.

"Damn it all." Xiao Ling Wa was equally ruthless, unleashing his innate divine abilities and driving a Tai Qing Gong Saint to the brink of madness. The Saint couldn't break through his defenses no matter what and was repeatedly blasted into the void.

The night turned restless due to this great battle, with thunderous booms overlapping one after another, shaking the heavens and earth.

It was clear that, despite the Tai Qing Gong forces outnumbering their opponents, they were completely at a disadvantage. The three adversaries had them scattering in all directions—whether at the Huang Jing, Quasi-Saint, or Saint levels, they were being wiped out one by one.

The cultivators from all sides retreated again and again, their faces pale as they watched the scene. They'd seen formidable fighters before, but never ones like this—and not just one, but three, each more ferocious and unstoppable than the last.

Among Xiao Ling Wa's magical artifacts, Qi Wang woke up and looked outside, his expression a mix of astonishment and amusement.

Not long ago, he had tried to drag Xiao Ling Wa to the Yu Ling family to steal dragon eggs, only for things to backfire spectacularly. Now, seeing Xiao Ling Wa's true form, he was nearly scared to tears. Only then did he understand why he had been beaten.

Outside, the battle came quickly and ended just as fast. All the Tai Qing Gong experts were annihilated, not a single one surviving.

As the thunderous sounds faded, Ye Chen, Xiao Ling Wa, and Man Shan immediately fled Dong Tian Gu Cheng. They all knew that more Tai Qing Gong forces would arrive soon, so they couldn't linger.

With the three of them gone, they left behind a Dong Tian Gu Cheng in utter ruins. What had been a fine ancient city was now a wasteland, and many who hadn't escaped in time were buried in the debris.

Just as Ye Chen and his companions had anticipated, less than a quarter of an hour later, Tai Qing Gong forces arrived. Their lineup was impressive, including three Quasi-Saint Kings, over a dozen Saints, and more than a hundred Quasi-Saints.

Coincidentally, Yin Zhong was among them. Seeing the ruined Dong Tian Gu Cheng, he roared in fury.

By that time, Ye Chen and his group had already used a transmission array to vanish to an unknown location. They reappeared in a desolate mountain valley, with no one in sight and only drifting clouds and mist in the air.

"Awesome!" Man Shan burst into laughter, in high spirits. He pulled out a wine jar and tossed it to Ye Chen and Xiao Ling Wa. "Hurry up and drink. Once we're done, we'll have a fight. It's rare to meet two opponents who can actually hold their own."

"Don't mess around—you can't beat me." Xiao Ling Wa grabbed the wine jar and downed it in one go.

"Nonsense, I'm plenty tough." The battle-loving Man Shan objected, flexing his massive spiked club. "I'm not bragging, but one swing from this, and I'd have you in tears."

"You and your temper." Xiao Ling Wa, now in human form, rolled up his sleeves and lunged forward.

"As if you're any better." Man Shan got fired up too, swinging his spiked club and charging in.

Thus, the once serene mountain valley erupted into chaos, with nonstop booms and the very heavens trembling.

Ye Chen rubbed his brow and wisely sat down on a nearby rock. He pulled out his wine flask, sipping leisurely while enjoying the brawl unfolding not far away.

It had to be said, the sight of the two fighting was truly grand and savage. Neither held back—one with Man Zu bloodline plus Bao Long heritage, the other a Ba Wang Long. Both at the Quasi-Saint level with evenly matched realms, their physical bodies were extraordinarily tough, and they fought as if aiming to cripple each other.

Time passed bit by bit, but Man Shan and Xiao Ling Wa showed no signs of stopping. Instead, they fought even more fiercely, as if they wouldn't quit until one was floored.

Ye Chen couldn't watch anymore. After draining the last of his wine, he rolled up his sleeves and joined the fray.

Now, the already thunderous valley grew even more intense. The formidable Ye Chen was merciless, taking on both at once and leaving the pair disoriented, unable to tell north from south.

It wasn't until some time later that Man Shan and Xiao Ling Wa finally plummeted from the sky, crashing into the ground and forming two deep craters. The Man Zu bloodline and Ba Wang Long were both battered nearly to pieces.

"Convinced yet?" Ye Chen descended from the heavens, his Qi and blood surging as he looked at Man Shan with interest.

"Convinced." Man Shan clutched his face, his head drooping, his entire demeanor deflated.

"Convinced yet?" Ye Chen turned to Xiao Ling Wa.

"Convinced." Xiao Ling Wa waved his hand while rubbing his eyes, stars still spinning in his vision.

"Bullshit." Ye Chen cursed and flicked a ray of immortal light into Man Shan's brow.

Immediately, Man Shan clutched his head and let out a painful roar. Compared to the wounds from battling Ye Chen, this pain was gut-wrenching, making his divine sea buzz and his mind blur.

Ye Chen released Hao Tian Xuan Zhen and Mo Yuan, then sat back on the rock, waiting for Man Shan to recover.

The expressions of Mo Yuan and Hao Tian Xuan Zhen turned a bit strange. They glanced at Man Shan, then at Xiao Ling Wa—one a Ba Wang Long, the other with Man Zu and Bao Long bloodlines. Both were Da Chu reincarnations, just like them. Why was the gap so huge? Was this a matter of character?

Meanwhile, Xiao Ling Wa released Qi Wang from his artifact, looking to pass the time with some fun.

But Qi Wang wasn't having it! As soon as he was out, he tried to bolt, only for Xiao Ling Wa to grab him on the spot. To show his "friendship," Xiao Ling Wa pinned Qi Wang down and gave him a thorough beating.

Half an hour later, Man Shan's memories were awakened. He stared blankly at Ye Chen and the others.

What followed was quite emotional. Even the burly Man Shan couldn't hold back his excitement, tears streaming down his face. Waking up to find himself two hundred years into his past and present lives, and seeing his old homeland's people right away—it was surely a gift from the heavens, a mix of shock and joy.

The group didn't stay long. As dawn approached, they set off to continue searching for Da Chu reincarnations.

As before, Ye Chen sealed Mo Yuan and Hao Tian Xuan Zhen into divine talismans—Mo Yuan to restore his cultivation, and Hao Tian Xuan Zhen to consolidate his. The talismans were a perfect place for that.

Once again on the road, they had Ye Chen, Xiao Ling Wa, Man Shan, and even Qi Wang tagging along.

From then on, they kept a low profile, using secret techniques to disguise themselves as they moved through various ancient cities. Their luck held up, and they found quite a few reincarnations along the way.

Of course, conflicts with Tai Qing Gong were inevitable, but they all ended without major issues, and they remained safe and sound.

And so, nine days passed quietly.

It wasn't until the morning of the tenth day that they landed in front of another grand and imposing ancient city.

As usual, at the city walls, they spotted the wanted posters plastered there.

Again, it was a Tai Qing Gong bounty, but this time for four people: one with a donkey head, one with a dragon head, one with a massive head, and the fourth who looked relatively normal, at least compared to the first three.

No need to guess—the four on the posters were Qi Wang, Xiao Ling Wa, Ye Chen, and Man Shan. The bounties were all similar, with Ye Chen's being a bit higher.

"Why else would they call him the Sheng Ti—his bounty is even higher than ours," Qi Wang grumbled discontentedly.

"My bounty has gone up quite a bit more. I'm quite pleased," Xiao Ling Wa said meaningfully.

"I feel mine is a little low," the burly Man Shan muttered, stroking his chin.

"Based on what I've calculated, I really like you three's attitude," Ye Chen said with a tone of earnest advice.

"It's these four who've wiped out wave after wave of Tai Qing Gong experts." There were plenty of cultivators gathered around the posters, murmuring in amazement. "The Tai Qing Gong palace master must be furious."

"I hear they've sent out Saint King level experts, scouring Dong Huang for them."

"Besides them, lots of powerful veteran cultivators are searching too—the rewards are just too tempting."

"Make way, make way." Amid the discussions, a stern voice rang out from behind, laced with arrogance.

Everyone turned instinctively and saw three white-robed youths approaching. Their cultivation wasn't high, only at the Huang Jing level, but their Tai Qing Gong robes made the crowd part instantly.

The three Tai Qing Gong disciples crushed a jade slip, which contained a wanted poster that they imprinted onto the city wall, right below the others.

Hmm?

Seeing the portrait on the poster, Ye Chen, Xiao Ling Wa, and Man Shan all let out a light sound of surprise.

The poster depicted a young man, vividly rendered with sharply defined features that were both handsome and refined. His expression was calm yet slightly stern, his eyes like ancient wells hiding profound Dao insights—ordinary, yet extraordinarily so.

"Liu Yi?" Man Shan and Xiao Ling Wa glanced at the poster, then looked at Ye Chen in unison.
