Chapter 1221: Barbarian's Wine

Chapter 1221: Man Zu's Wine

At night, the Man Zu tribe was exceptionally lively.

Ye Chen had cured Man Xiong, and the Man Zu tribe was holding a grand banquet as thanks. The entire tribe was lit by bonfires, and the aroma of meat filled the air.

Although these big fellows were rough and wild, they were incredibly generous.

Ye Chen felt a bit awkward, having to crane his neck just to talk to them.

The Sheng Wang of the Man Zu arrived, carrying a large wine jar in one hand and a massive stone basin in the other. He poured a full basin of wine and handed it to Ye Chen. "Little one, come and try our wine."

"Your family's wine cups are really something else." Ye Chen stared at the basin filled to the brim with wine and swallowed hard.

Since it was the Sheng Wang himself pouring, Ye Chen had no choice but to accept it, holding it carefully with both hands. He looked refined, yet here he was, cradling a huge stone basin— the sight was utterly comical.

"Drink!"

The Sheng Wang of the Man Zu laughed like a thunderclap, his voice deep and resonant, and he downed the entire basin without hesitation.

The big fellows of the Man Zu tribe were no different, each one more boisterous than the last.

Ye Chen gave a dry chuckle and lifted his basin, gulping it down in one go without delay.

"Wow!"

As the basin of wine hit his stomach, Ye Chen felt a surge of flame-like energy spreading through his body, scorching his internal organs. The Man Zu's wine was no ordinary brew; it was made from various extremely potent divine herbs.

"Refreshing!"

Ye Chen wiped the wine stains from his lips and headed straight for the wine jar. Glancing at the basin in his arms and then at the jar, he casually tossed the basin aside and hugged the jar instead, chugging from it desperately.

His boldness drew stares from the many Man Zu people, some of whom grinned widely.

The Man Zu's wine wasn't just any drink; not everyone could handle it. It was fortunate that Ye Chen had the Huang Gu Sheng Ti; an ordinary cultivator might have been burned to pieces on the spot.

"Wow!"

After downing the jar, Ye Chen's entire body erupted in flames, turning bright red, but the sensation was oddly satisfying.

"Drink!"

He went a bit crazy, clutching the wine jar and staggering around the tribe, yelling and shouting as he went. He tried to use his magical power to dispel the drunkenness but failed.

"Drink!"

Seeing an outsider being so uninhibited, the Man Zu people opened up even more, turning the bonfire feast into a wild party.

It wasn't until late at night that the Man Zu tribe finally quieted down, with people sprawled everywhere in disarray.

As for Ye Chen, he sat on the ground, still hugging a wine basin and belching repeatedly. He was truly drunk this time, even his breath carried flames.

Sometime later, he toppled headfirst into the basin and fell into a deep sleep.

He slept for three full days.

When he awoke, it was the morning of the fourth day.

In the early morning, the Man Zu tribe was bustling with activity as people set up pots to cook. These folks were fierce and untamed, like unrefined savages, but they were straightforward and honest, without the scheming ways of outsiders.

"Wow!"

Ye Chen stretched lazily, feeling completely refreshed. The Man Zu's wine was potent and had a refining effect on his Sheng Ti.

"Hmm?"

Mid-stretch, Ye Chen's eyes lit up, fixing on a large Man Zu man nearby. The fellow wasn't the biggest, only around two hundred years old— still a child by cultivator standards.

Lian Yao Xian Shi!

Ye Chen's eyes gleamed as he stared at the purple stone in the big fellow's hand— it was a treasure.

Glancing around, Ye Chen spotted more Man Zu children playing, each holding odd and valuable items like immortal herbs, weapons, or divine beads.

Ye Chen was dazzled and couldn't help but sigh in amazement.

These were all treasures, yet the Man Zu were using them as toys. It was enough to make anyone envious!

"Little one, come over, it's time to eat!"

A big Man Zu man called out to Ye Chen from nearby, his rough voice making Ye Chen's head buzz.

"Coming!"

Ye Chen took one last look around and hurried over.

No sooner had he sat down than a big fellow handed him a huge piece of dragon meat, larger than Ye Chen himself.

"Truly enthusiastic!"

Ye Chen coughed awkwardly, staring at the raw dragon meat with blood still on it, unsure how to even start.

The Sheng Wang of the Man Zu sat down beside him, holding a massive piece of roasted dragon meat. As a Sheng Wang, he ate with an air of dominance, leaving Ye Chen swallowing hard again.

After taking a bite of his own dragon meat, Ye Chen rubbed his hands and turned to the Sheng Wang. "Mind if I ask you about something?"

"If I know, I'll tell you." The Sheng Wang wiped the grease from his mouth.

"Have you ever heard of Da Chu?"

"Da Chu?" The Sheng Wang scratched his head, pausing for a few seconds before shaking his head. "Never heard of it."

"What about Zhutian Men?"

"Never heard of it."

"How about Kunlun Xu, Da Luo Zhutian, Shen Dian, Jiu Huang Tian, Da Xia Huang Chao?"

"Never heard of them."

"What about Zhutian Jian Shen, Dan Zun, Dong Huang Tai Xin, Chu Huang, Yan Huang, Yue Huang, Xuan Huang, Tian Zang Huang, Zhan Wang, Tai Wang, Dong Huang, Chen Huang? Surely you've heard of some of them, Senior!"

Ye Chen looked at the Sheng Wang hopefully.

"Zhutian Jian Shen, I've heard of. The others, no." The Sheng Wang replied before diving back into his dragon meat.

"This is just my luck!" Ye Chen lowered his head and rubbed his forehead in frustration. He was completely defeated— even a Sheng Wang hadn't heard of them. He seriously doubted whether places like Kunlun Xu were even in the Zhutian Wan Yu; otherwise, why would no one know about them?

As he thought about it, Ye Chen turned back to the Sheng Wang. "Senior, do you know where Zhutian Jian Shen is?"

"Go ask at Da Luo Jian Zong; those folks would know." The Sheng Wang wiped his mouth again.

"Got it." Ye Chen drooped his head.

"But don't say you know me if you go."

"Why?" Ye Chen looked at him in surprise.

"A few years back, I beat up their old ancestor. Those guys hold grudges and are always looking for people to gang up on me."

"I'd beat you too if I were them." Ye Chen eyed the big fellow up and down with a sigh. Da Luo Jian Zong was incredibly powerful, and he'd beaten their ancestor? Truly overbearing.

"Why aren't you eating?" The Sheng Wang asked, seeing Ye Chen zoning out.

"I'm full." Ye Chen handed the bloody dragon meat back to the Sheng Wang. "Here, you have it."

"This is good stuff."

"I'm off to chat with your kid." Ye Chen patted his backside and stood up, vanishing in a flash.

"Half a Huang Gu Sheng Ti, huh?" Watching Ye Chen leave, the Sheng Wang scratched his head before continuing to devour the dragon meat, with an appetite for thousands of pounds.

By now, Ye Chen had reached the depths of the Man Zu tribe.

In the Xian Chi, the reincarnated Man Xiong had already climbed out.

When Ye Chen arrived, Man Xiong was stretching his powerful body, his bones cracking loudly.

Huang Jing!

Ye Chen scanned Man Xiong up and down. His bloodline was extraordinarily dominant, like that of a dragon, with blood energy as vast as the sea, thick and mighty. Faint dragon roars could even be heard from his body.

Ye Chen was certain that, aside from Yan Fei, Man Xiong was the most impressive reincarnation he'd found. Just that sturdy physique could knock out even a quasi-Sheng cultivator with a single slap.

Seeing Ye Chen approach, Man Xiong stopped stretching and flashed a grin, showing his pearly white teeth.

Ye Chen smiled and flicked a ray of immortal light into Man Xiong's forehead.

Immediately, Man Xiong's body trembled, and he clutched his head, letting out a deep, guttural roar.

Confusion filled his eyes as his past memories unlocked and merged with his current ones. Ancient events surfaced in his divine sea as the memories sealed away.

Soon, Man Xiong stopped trembling and stared at Ye Chen with wide eyes like copper bells.

"Welcome back!"

Ye Chen laughed, tears in his eyes.

A hundred years!

Man Xiong cried too, tears the size of fists streaming down as he suddenly wrapped his massive arms around Ye Chen.

This was all so sudden, catching him off guard. Man Xiong never imagined he could reincarnate, let alone reunite with someone from his past life. A hundred years of trials felt endless.

As for Ye Chen, his face turned red, and blood trickled from his mouth— Man Xiong's hug had cracked his bones.

Passing Man Zu big fellows saw this and scratched their heads, baffled by what the two were doing.

It wasn't until sometime later that Man Xiong released Ye Chen.

Ye Chen collapsed like a ragdoll; even his Sheng Ti had been crushed.

Man Xiong grinned awkwardly.

What followed was emotional. Man Xiong carried Ye Chen into the Xian Chi and even brought over a large wine jar.

The two sat there, one in the pool and one outside, sipping the potent Man Zu wine and reminiscing about the old days— back at Heng Yue's ninth branch hall, where their fights were still vivid in memory.

They had endless stories to share, their laughter echoing nonstop.

During this, Ye Chen used his divine sense to send Man Xiong details about Da Chu, its people, and events.

Man Xiong, ever straightforward, burst into sobs.

The Sheng Wang of the Man Zu stopped by a few times, scratching his head in confusion at their close bond.

It wasn't until nightfall that Ye Chen emerged from the Xian Chi.

The Xian Chi, much like the Man Zu wine, was fiercely powerful, like flames that refined his organs, meridians, limbs, and every drop of Sheng blood.

"I'll take you somewhere."

Man Xiong finished his last gulp of wine and called out to Ye Chen.

Ye Chen climbed out of the Xian Chi and followed him.

The two headed deeper into the Man Zu tribe.

There, they found a massive pit— truly a huge one, spanning about ten thousand zhang.

Inside the pit were treasures galore: magical weapons, secret scrolls, immortal stones, all gleaming with immortal light under the moonlight, like a dazzling trove.

Even Ye Chen, with his composure, was stunned. This was a massive hidden vault!

Who said big guys were dim-witted or crude like country bumpkins? They were actually loaded!

"All treasures— pick what you want!"

Man Xiong grinned generously.

"How could I?"

Ye Chen said, already pulling out a sack and walking over eagerly.
