Chapter 1268: Tactical Alliance

Yan Zhi Chun finalized the battle plan and signaled to the people around her. Everyone quickly dispersed to their designated positions, preparing to launch a full-scale attack on Tian Niu.

But before they could execute the plan, Yan Zhi Chun felt a sudden sharp pain in her heart.

She clutched her chest and looked up towards the exit of the "Huo Cang," sensing that something important had vanished in that instant.

"Zhi Chun, what's wrong?" Jiang Ruo Xue moved to Yan Zhi Chun's side and asked, noticing her expression.

"I don't know..." Yan Zhi Chun's lips trembled slightly, and her eyes began to redden. "I suddenly feel so sad..."

"You need to pull yourself together now," Jiang Ruo Xue said softly. "There are still people waiting for us."

"Okay... okay..." Yan Zhi Chun nodded and wiped away the tears at the corners of her eyes. She didn't understand why she had suddenly become like this, but there was no time to think about it.

Hei Yang was already covered in wounds from several collisions with Tian Niu and was barely standing, swaying unsteadily. Fortunately, Yan Zhi Chun had found a foolproof method and was confident in cornering Tian Niu at the last moment.

When Tian Niu regained her senses from hiding in the shadows, she realized that the many "Can Yu Zhe" had changed positions and were now in various strange locations.

But since they couldn't see her, what could they possibly do?

Yan Zhi Chun, Jiang Ruo Xue, Lao Sun, and Su Shan stood together in one corner, staring at the empty space. Meanwhile, Zhou Liu had slipped away in the chaos to reach Hei Yang and the numerous "Lou Yi." Everyone was in position, and this sudden coordination made Tian Niu feel a vague sense of unease.

However, she was carrying a strange "Men" on her shoulder and had nowhere to go. Hei Yang seemed possessed, his body riddled with injuries yet still holding on stubbornly, as if he didn't care about his own life at all.

"Tian Niu..." Hei Yang slowly lifted his head, blood trickling down his face. "I'm in a hurry... Come out and fight me quickly, don't waste time."

Tian Niu remained hidden, pondering her options. This unexpected turn of events was incredibly troublesome.

This group had arrived neither too early nor too late, right when she was about to set up the "Men." Forced into a corner, she had no choice but to evade with the "Men" in tow.

If she put the "Men" down now, they would see it, and if they chose to destroy it, all the "Lou Yi" would have no way to reach "Tao Yuan." If Qing Long found out, she would be as good as dead.

But the "Men" was enormous, and carrying it made it impossible to escape through the long stairs.

Countless questions echoed in Tian Niu's mind. How had these people made it through such a long corridor straight to the "Huo Cang"?

And why had they timed their arrival so precisely?

If the "Can Yu Zhe" wanted to reach the "Huo Cang," they should have headed there urgently after boarding, as even a second's delay could bring unforeseen dangers.

At that time, she had just entered the "Huo Cang" and hadn't yet retrieved the "Men," so she would have had plenty of capacity to fight back.

But these people had clearly waited a while before coming, hitting the exact moment when she was stuck between a rock and a hard place.

So, what was happening outside?

For a large group of "Can Yu Zhe" to walk in so openly, did that mean everyone else was dead?

Yan Zhi Chun shifted slightly, keeping her eyes forward, and whispered to Su Shan, "Can you see it?"

"Yes." Su Shan also stared ahead, replying quietly without moving. "It's at my eleven o'clock direction. I'll keep it in sight the whole time."

"Good."

Yan Zhi Chun signaled to Zhou Mo in the distance. Zhou Mo nodded and then glanced at the officer beside him, Li Jing Guan.

Li Jing Guan understood immediately. He stared at a dismembered corpse in the distance, reached into his pocket, and after fumbling around, pulled out a blood-soaked eyeball.

He bent down and gently rolled the eyeball toward the center of the square.

All the "Lou Yi" instantly sensed the eyeball. They slightly turned their bodies, as if adjusting coordinates, but none of them moved.

"The direction the eyeball rolled is twelve o'clock..." Yan Zhi Chun's heart was in her throat. "They understood Zhou Mo's tactics..."

"This tactic isn't hard for them..." Jiang Ruo Xue murmured. "The hard part is for us..."

"Don't worry, I'm here." Yan Zhi Chun said seriously. "Let's begin the operation."

As soon as she said "begin the operation," Su Shan widened his eyes and looked into the distance, then said, "It's at seven o'clock from the eyeball."

"Heavy, light light light." Yan Zhi Chun said.

Lao Sun closed his eyes and waved his hand toward the sky. A few seconds later, two large and three small stones appeared out of nowhere and fell one after another.

Thud! Thud! Clap! Clap! Clap!

The sound of the stones hitting the ground was loud, making the entire area shake.

Before Tian Niu could react to what was happening, a large group of "Lou Yi" suddenly lunged toward her position.

She was shocked and quickly dodged to the side, but the group of "Lou Yi" missed their target.

What was going on?

The "Lou Yi" seemed to know where she was, but their attacks were scattered like a net with no real pattern.

"Three o'clock." Su Shan said again.

"Light light light, heavy." Yan Zhi Chun said.

More stones fell, and another large group of "Lou Yi" charged at Tian Niu. She felt a chill on her back and fled frantically, still carrying the "Men."

Many of the "Lou Yi" were demoted from "Di Ji," and their physical abilities were not inferior to hers. If they caught her, the consequences would be dire.

"Her movements are disorganized." Su Shan whispered. "Now, at six o'clock."

"Heavy, light light light light."

Several attacks left Tian Niu completely overwhelmed. The sheer number of "Lou Yi" made it hard for her to evade, as each assault involved over a hundred of them moving in unison.

She quickly used "Fu Kong" to float into the air and moved a considerable distance away. Then, she turned to look down below, trying to figure out how the enemy was coordinating their assault.

One side was the "Can Yu Zhe," and the other was the "Lou Yi"—they had no way to communicate, yet they seemed to have formed a united front.

It was just a few stones falling, but they could command over a hundred people to act precisely... What kind of tactic was this?

"The target has left the coordinate range. Lock on a new position immediately."

Su Shan signaled to Li Jing Guan in the distance.

Li Jing Guan nodded, patted a "Lou Yi" nearby, and the creature crawled over to crush the previous eyeball.

Then, Li Jing Guan pulled another fresh eyeball from his pocket and rolled it toward the new position specified by Su Shan.

All the "Lou Yi" adjusted their orientations again, reconfirming the "twelve o'clock" direction.

"New coordinates: ground to air, four o'clock." Su Shan said, his eyes bloodshot.

"Heavy light heavy, light light light light, heavy."

Tian Niu never imagined that the enemy's tactical design would be so intricate. Until she saw a large group of "Lou Yi" leaping high toward her exact location.
