Chapter 1186: Good Child

Di Zhu appeared prepared when his throat was seized. He abruptly threw his head back, slamming it into Zhū Què's chin. Despite his quick reaction, his throat still bore a few faint bloody marks.

Then, without pausing, Di Zhu spun around and clawed at Zhū Què. Their fighting styles seemed overall similar, both relying on powerful finger strength and hard nails to inflict wounds on each other.

Zhū Què raised his arm to block, receiving several shallow cuts on his forearm. He immediately retaliated, clawing Di Zhu's chest until it was a bloody mess once more.

In mere seconds of combat, Di Zhu had lost large patches of flesh. The two were on completely different levels in terms of strength and destructive power.

Only then did Zhōu Mò believe that killing Zhū Què this time might be entirely different from killing Xuán Wǔ.

Although she had no idea how the battle with Xuán Wǔ was progressing, just as Zhū Què had said himself, precisely because he lacked "Bù Miè," he feared death more than Xuán Wǔ did.

He would never give the "Cān Yù Zhě" any opportunity to kill him. Whether it was the "Xìn Hào Dàn" or the "Líng Chù" that Di Zhu mentioned, as long as Zhū Què perceived it as a threat, he would strike first without hesitation.

Under Zhū Què's aggressive attacks, Di Zhu kept retreating, as this outcome had been predetermined all along.

How could someone who was merely "Dì Jí" possibly stand alone against Zhū Què, who was specifically tasked with handling "Shēng Xiāo" violations?

"You haven't even used 'Xiān Fǎ' yet, and you're already struggling," Zhū Què said."Little pig, why not consider joining my side? As long as you don't reveal the name of my 'Xiān Fǎ,' I'll spare your life here. I'll explain things to Qīng Lóng and pretend nothing ever happened."

"Thank you, but I'm not considering it," Di Zhu said."It's been a long time since I could fight passionately for my companions. This is the battlefield I've been waiting for."

"Why pretend to be so passionate?" Zhū Què shook his head."Once you reveal my trump card, everyone here will die. Bow your head and call me 'Zhū Què Dàrén' right now, and I'll act like none of this ever happened."

At that moment, Zhōu Mò blinked and noticed that Zhū Què and Di Zhu shared a common trait—they both had a bit of a chuunibyou vibe.

Who would actually enjoy being called "Dàrén" by others?

"Murder to cover it up, right?" Di Zhu said."Too bad you won't succeed."

He turned his head toward Zhōu Mò, about to speak, but found his mouth sealed as if it had been glued with cement—he couldn't open it at all.

"Why won't you listen...?" Zhū Què sighed."Kids these days just aren't obedient anymore. Is it because I've killed too many?"

Zhōu Mò saw Di Zhu's mouth moving in sync with Zhū Què's, his expression turning mockingly contemptuous.

Clearly, he had fallen victim to the wildly insane "Duó Xīn Pò."

Then, Zhū Què slowly reached out and touched his own chest.

Zhōu Mò quickly spoke up: "Don't..."

The powerful "Duó Xīn Pò" activated, and Di Zhu slowly reached out to touch the blooming wound on his own chest. Zhōu Mò rushed forward to grab him but couldn't budge his body at all.

In a state of terror, Di Zhu inserted his fingers into the wound, then moved them slightly, tearing the entire gash on his chest wide open. A torrent of fresh blood soaked his abdomen like a river.

"This wound isn't deep enough," Zhū Què chuckled lightly."Good children learn to torment themselves. It saves me a lot of trouble."

With that, he turned his hand into a palm, forcing Di Zhu to rip his own wound open even more viciously. Di Zhu was already drenched in sweat from the pain, but with his mouth sealed, he could only let out muffled grunts.

"Don't be afraid... don't be afraid..." Zhū Què said slowly."This amount of bleeding will kill you soon enough. Once you're dead, you won't be afraid of anything."

"You lunatic..." Zhōu Mò murmured, her lips trembling, but she was utterly helpless.

Although she moved between various "Zǔ Zhì," her role was mostly as a liaison, and even with some basic fighting skills, she couldn't possibly take on a "Shén Shòu" with just an iron rod.

Zhū Què felt completely different from Xuán Wǔ or Bái Hǔ.

He was perhaps more like Qīng Lóng, both embodying the essence of "Jué Wàng."

"Today, not a single person here is getting away," Zhū Què said, scanning the crowd as Di Zhu slowly turned, mimicking his every move."I've thought of an interesting game. As a 'Shēng Xiāo,' you have to be squeezed dry of every last bit of value."

He drifted forward slowly, fixing his gaze on the sweat-drenched Di Zhu."Good child, I'll take away your sanity. You can kill these people yourself until you collapse from blood loss. Consider it a little punishment. Sound good?"

Di Zhu's eyes showed unrestrained terror. This fight with Zhū Què couldn't even be called a tough battle, especially after "Duó Xīn Pò" was activated—he had no way to fight back at all.

He knew he could die, but not in a way that was so utterly worthless.

Zhū Què slowly extended his hand in front of Di Zhu's face: "Living forever... or dying forever—which do you choose?"

Di Zhu couldn't speak; he just glared at Zhū Què with wide eyes.

"Oh, I forgot..." Zhū Què said, slapping his forehead as if suddenly remembering."You're so badly wounded; you could never live forever anyway."

As Zhū Què laughed and activated "Duó Xīn Pò," Zhōu Mò finally couldn't hold back any longer. She swung the iron rod she'd grabbed from behind, striking Zhū Què hard on the back of the head.

When the dust settled, Zhōu Mò felt like she was hitting a wall. Zhū Què didn't budge at all, but her hands were left throbbing with pain.

Although Zhū Què wasn't hurt, he was clearly enraged by Zhōu Mò's action.

He turned around, his smiling face veins bulging, and released Di Zhu, swinging his hand toward Zhōu Mò.

"Not obedient..."

In the next second, a strange giant tree suddenly sprang up between them, forcibly separating their positions.

Before Zhū Què could react, a hand holding a dagger emerged from the tree's center, stabbing toward his abdomen.

Unfortunately, Zhū Què's body was extremely tough, leaving only a faint scratch.

The hand retracted into the tree before Zhū Què could respond, as if nothing had happened.

"Liù Jiě!"

A man and a woman hurried over from a distance—it was "Chuān Suō" Cui Shí Sì and "Mào Mù" Liu Èr Shí Yī.

Although Zhōu Mò felt a bit relieved, the "Huí Xiǎng" of just the three of them still couldn't shake Zhū Què.

"The two of us were closest, so we got here as fast as we could," Cui Shí Sì said, surveying the scene and realizing it was even worse than expected.

Theoretically, no matter which "Mén" they encountered Zhū Què in, there should be at least one "Dì Jí" fighting alongside them, but now Di Zhu seemed completely out of commission. That massive blood loss made it impossible for him to continue.
