Chapter 1711: The Adulterer

The atmosphere on Qing Luan Peak was eerie as Ye Chen held Qing Luan like that.

Qing Luan was a bit stunned, not expecting Ye Chen to hug her.

As for Huo Feng Crown Prince, his face was no longer recognizable, his eyes bloodshot, his entire body engulfed in raging flames, as red as blood, with killing intent rampant everywhere.

It was a humiliation, an utter disgrace, like being slapped in the face in public.

Sensing the murderous aura behind him, Ye Chen raised an eyebrow, released Qing Luan, and turned to look at Huo Feng Crown Prince. "What are you doing?"

"Adulterous husband!" Huo Feng roared in anger and struck with his palm.

"Hey." Ye Chen wasn't having it and threw a punch back.

Their fist and palm collided with a clang like iron striking stone, sparks flying, and the surrounding space trembling with cracks appearing one after another.

Looking at both sides, Ye Chen stood like an unmovable monument.

Huo Feng, on the other hand, fared poorly, stumbling back three or five steps, each retreat leaving deep footprints in the ground.

This only fueled Huo Feng Crown Prince's fury completely, his eyes filled with ferocity.

As the crown prince of the Huo Feng Clan, to have his fiancée hugged right in front of him and now be knocked back by a punch—it was beyond embarrassing.

"There's something to discuss; don't just curse at people out of nowhere. No manners." Ye Chen twisted his neck, his joints cracking loudly.

"Take it easy." Qing Luan tugged at Ye Chen's sleeve.

"It's not my fault; he struck first." Ye Chen pouted.

"Adulterous husband!" Huo Feng Crown Prince gritted his teeth in rage and charged again, his aura savage and bloodthirsty.

"Again?" Ye Chen snorted coldly, unafraid. When facing opponents of the same level, he was invincible and never backed down.

"Die!" Huo Feng Crown Prince soared through the nine heavens, his eyes shooting lightning straight at Ye Chen's yuan shen, aiming to destroy his true form.

"Who gave you that confidence?" Ye Chen sneered, his body moving like an illusion, using Shrinking Earth into Inches to dodge and closing in on him instantly.

Huo Feng Crown Prince's expression changed; Ye Chen's movement technique was as fast as a startling flash.

In a split second, he abruptly withdrew his attack and retreated.

But Ye Chen was faster, catching up in one step and delivering a Great Monument Smashing Hand directly to Huo Feng Crown Prince's face.

The slap was loud and crisp, delightfully resonant.

Huo Feng Crown Prince's face was completely twisted from the blow.

Then, he plummeted from the sky, kicked down by Ye Chen, smashing into the solid ground and collapsing it.

"Today, I'll teach you how to be a person." Ye Chen cursed, his foot glowing with brilliant gold as he stomped down from the heavens.

"Ye Chen." Qing Luan ascended in one step, hurriedly blocking him.

This guy didn't know his own strength and might actually kill Huo Feng with one kick—the power of a Sheng Ti wasn't a joke.

Even though she wouldn't mind Huo Feng's death, she had to consider her clan.

Huo Feng Crown Prince's status was noble; if something happened to him, the Qing Luan Clan would be held responsible, potentially sparking a war.

"That kind of person just needs a beating." Ye Chen grumbled.

Though he complained, he didn't strike again, giving Qing Luan face. Otherwise, he really would have gone for the kill.

"My head hurts." Qing Luan rubbed her forehead, her expression conflicted.

"I haven't even asked you—who is he?" Ye Chen glanced at Qing Luan.

"Huo Feng Crown Prince, designated as my husband by my clan's old ancestor." Qing Luan said lightly, "In short, my fiancé."

Ye Chen's mouth twitched, his expression turning quite interesting.

No wonder that guy was so furious—hugging someone else's fiancée right in front of them. If it were him, he'd grab a weapon and fight too.

For a moment, Ye Chen felt like he'd caused trouble. Beating up Huo Feng Crown Prince was one thing, but if it led to a war, that would be bad.

"Kill, kill, kill." In the distance, Huo Feng Crown Prince got up, his hair disheveled, roaring like a madman.

Seeing this, Qing Luan stepped in front of Ye Chen. "Crown Prince, calm down."

"Adulterous husband, wretch." Huo Feng Crown Prince looked ferocious, gripping a killing sword as he advanced, bloodthirsty and violent like a demon.

Qing Luan frowned, and Ye Chen did too. Was this going to be to the death?

Just then, a beam of light descended from the sky—it was a middle-aged man in a python robe, with vigorous qi and blood, his presence overwhelming.

He was the Qing Luan Clan's Sheng Zhu, Qing Luan's biological father.

He had been in the grand hall exchanging pleasantries with the Huo Feng Clan's elders about the marriage when he suddenly heard of a great battle on this mountain, prompting him to rush over.

Accompanying him were Qing Luan Clan's elders and Huo Feng Clan's elders, a large group of old-timers.

"Crown Prince." The Huo Feng Clan's elders surrounded Huo Feng Crown Prince, and seeing his injuries, their faces turned ice-cold instantly.

"Adulterous husband!" Huo Feng Crown Prince was still roaring, his eyes seeming to spurt blood as he stared fixedly at Ye Chen and Qing Luan.

"Luan Er, how did this happen?" Qing Luan Sheng Zhu sternly rebuked Qing Luan, clearly seeing her involvement.

"Just sparring, that's all." Qing Luan spoke softly, her expression indifferent.

"Senior, it's all my fault." Ye Chen coughed. "I haven't seen Qing Luan in years, and in the excitement, I hugged her."

As soon as he said this, everyone present understood. That explained why Huo Feng was cursing Ye Chen and Qing Luan as adulterous husband and wretch.

Huo Feng Crown Prince was no ordinary person—arrogant and violent by nature—how could he tolerate this?

"Xuan Tian, give my Huo Feng Clan an explanation for this." A Huo Feng Clan elder shouted angrily, glaring coldly at Qing Luan Sheng Zhu.

"But what kind of explanation do you want, senior?" Before her father could respond, Qing Luan spoke up, her beautiful eyes calm and unwavering.

"The one who provoked my Huo Feng Clan and injured our crown prince—he must die."

"It was your crown prince who attacked first, so he was only defending himself."

"Yet it's because of your sordid affairs."

"He's my old friend and also my brother—what sordid affairs are there?" Qing Luan's tone turned cold, her anger rising.

"So, your Qing Luan Clan is determined to protect him."

"This must be a misunderstanding." Qing Luan Sheng Zhu stepped forward with a placating smile.

"Misunderstanding? What a misunderstanding." Huo Feng Crown Prince sneered. "Are you saying I'm blind, Your Highness?"

"This..." Qing Luan Sheng Zhu was at a loss for words.

"One word: kill or not kill." The Huo Feng elder demanded.

"Does senior know who he is?" Qing Luan asked calmly.

"It doesn't matter who he is." The Huo Feng Clan elder responded coldly and firmly, already leading Huo Feng Crown Prince away, with a faint voice echoing back: "Your clan's marriage alliance with ours is off."

"Huang Xiong." The Qing Luan Clan's elders chased after them.

"You brought this on yourselves." The Huo Feng elder didn't give them any face, stepping into the sky, leaving the Qing Luan elders unable to catch up.

Before leaving, whether the Huo Feng elders or Huo Feng Crown Prince, they all glanced back, their killing intent blatant.

That look made Qing Luan Sheng Zhu's heart tremble.

It was a declaration of war, a war declaration from the Huo Feng Clan against the Qing Luan Clan—a conflict that was now inevitable.

"Did I cause trouble?" Ye Chen touched his nose.

"It's nothing." Qing Luan smiled faintly, though worry flickered in her eyes.

"It's all because of you." Qing Luan might not mind, but the Qing Luan Clan's elders did. A group of old-timers surrounded them. "A perfectly good marriage alliance, ruined by you."

"That guy is clearly no good; he doesn't deserve Qing Luan." Ye Chen shrugged. "He's cursed 'adulterous husband' multiple times and has a foul mouth. Let this marriage fall through."

"You make it sound so easy." The elders thundered. "If the two clans go to war, how many of our Qing Luan Clan will die?"

"No problem, I'll handle it and beat them into submission." Ye Chen patted his chest and shook his head, full of confidence.

He could just bring out Di Huang Tong Ming, and everything would be fine.

That was a Zhi Zun, the fierce one who had trapped the Five Emperors at the edge of the universe. Not just the Huo Feng Clan—even the grand Hong Huang clans would have to bow.

With such a powerful backer, he was unbreakable; scaring him was useless.

Besides Di Huang, he had plenty of other trump cards.

He was confident, but the uninformed elders just laughed in anger. "A mere Sheng Ren with such big talk."

"Believe it or not, when I get serious, I'm terrifying."

"What arrogance—looks like you're just here to stir up trouble."

"Enough." Qing Luan Sheng Zhu stepped in forcefully, glanced at the silent Qing Luan, and took a deep breath. "What's done is done; talking more won't help. Prepare for war!"

"But that's the Huo Feng Clan, with three Zhun Di—how can we hold them off?"

"Our old ancestor is nearing the end of their life limit; our Qing Luan Clan is surely doomed."

"Or we could send someone to plead for mercy—maybe there's a chance to turn things around."

"You all know the Huo Feng Clan's nature very well." Qing Luan Sheng Zhu said gravely, his face pale.

"Everyone, return to your posts." From the depths of the immortal mountain, a ethereal voice echoed—it was Qing Luan Old Ancestor, who had witnessed the whole scene.

With the old ancestor speaking, the elders swallowed their words and turned to leave the peak.

Like the Huo Feng Clan, as they left, they all glanced at Ye Chen, feeling an urge to strangle him.

Qing Luan Sheng Zhu sighed and said no more, departing as well.

The peak suddenly felt empty, leaving only Ye Chen and Qing Luan.

Ye Chen was fine, just rubbing his head—after a thousand years in the Six Paths of Reincarnation plus his earlier daze, he still felt fuzzy.

Qing Luan's expression was mostly worried, her face serious.

Although Ye Chen was full of confidence, this wasn't the Zhu Tian realms. So what if he had slain two Di? He was only a Sheng Ren.

"Is this not Zhu Tian?" Ye Chen asked.

"This is my clan's territory, naturally Ling Yu." Qing Luan smiled.

"Damn it, isn't this supposed to be Zhu Tian? How did I end up in Ling Jie?" Ye Chen clutched his forehead and couldn't help cursing.

"Speaking of which, I haven't asked you yet—you were dead, weren't you? And why did you come to Ling Jie, all muddled like that?"

"Let me sort it out, then I'll explain to you. My head's still foggy." Ye Chen waved his hand, rubbing his brow as he headed back to the pavilion.

Qing Luan didn't ask more and turned to head straight for the grand hall.

She had to admit, this trouble was quite significant.

Ye Chen returned to the pavilion and squatted on the bed. Though he had regained consciousness, his memories were blurry, and some things were forgotten.

As he pondered, a melodious zither sound arose, seeming to come from a distant era, like heavenly music with a touch of sorrow.

Ye Chen looked up and stood, gazing into the misty void.

He recognized it as the Jiu You Xian Qu, more profound than Liu Ru Yan's version, hearing only the sound without tracing its source.

He understood now—that unknown Jiu You Xian Qu was why he had regained his senses and was no longer muddled.
