Chen Jun Nan's eyes widened slightly, and then he said, "You deceived all of them?"
"This matter is too complicated, and there's no time to explain." Qi Xia signaled to the others. "Let's go first."
Chen Jun Nan glanced back at Qiao Jia Jin, and the two nodded. They began leading the group out through the Ultimate Gate.
Once everyone had left, Qi Xia turned back and approached the Gate of Retreat, looking toward Qing Long and Xuan Wu.
After landing, Xuan Wu did not pause. She sprang up like a coil and extended her hand again.
Her expression showed a hint of confusion, as if she couldn't understand why, after having her heart removed, the opponent could still launch such a powerful attack.
A moment later, a greenish-black heart appeared once more in Xuan Wu's hand.
This was Qing Long's second heart.
Xuan Wu furrowed her brow, looking puzzled at her right hand and then at the heart she had crushed in the distance. Under what circumstances could two hearts be pulled from one person?
Upon seeing this, Qi Xia frowned slightly and greedily absorbed the memories rushing at him from all sides.
This was one of his rare opportunities. The more memories he recovered, the greater his chance of victory.
After having his heart removed, Qing Long paused for half a second before continuing his assault toward Xuan Wu's back.
Xuan Wu acted decisively, using Yue Qian to teleport and dodge the attack. She then hurled Qing Long's heart like a bullet, creating a sonic boom.
Qing Long sidestepped his own heart, and a fierce palm strike followed.
Xuan Wu quickly retreated several steps to avoid the blow, then pulled out a piece of lung tissue. But Qing Long paused for just a fraction of a second before unleashing a flurry of attacks and charging at her back again.
The ensuing scene was horrifying no matter the context, yet Qing Long and Xuan Wu seemed utterly unfazed as they collided repeatedly.
Xuan Wu kept extracting organs from Qing Long's body and throwing them like projectiles—heart against heart, lung against lung.
In an instant, the entire area was stained red with blood, covered in fragments of hearts, livers, spleens, and lungs torn from Qing Long, turning the battlefield into a hellish landscape.
Qing Long, however, appeared increasingly unaffected. He simply flicked away the organs from his body with a hand, discarding them expressionlessly like trash.
Xuan Wu gradually realized that Qing Long's internal organs seemed endless. Whenever she removed one, another would materialize in its place—a situation she had never encountered before.
Yet, at that moment, Xuan Wu couldn't think of a better way to punish Qing Long. She only knew she had to give it her all.
If she couldn't force a resolution here, endless torment awaited her.
With that thought, she steeled her resolve and slowly extended her hand.
Under Qi Xia's watchful gaze, Xuan Wu drew a bloody spine from the void.
Qing Long's advancing body collapsed as if deflated, but a moment later, he sprang up again like a coil, his face twisted in madness.
He remained completely unaffected.
For the first time, Xuan Wu felt a twinge of fear, but she knew she couldn't stop. If she did, everything would be for nothing.
So, she swiftly swung the spine and slashed at Qing Long.
Seizing the moment as Xuan Wu wielded the organ, Qing Long activated Yue Qian and vanished from sight, reappearing at her side. He then struck with his hand like a blade, severing her right arm neatly at the shoulder.
Before the arm hit the ground, Qing Long grabbed it by the wrist and wielded it as a weapon.
Xuan Wu felt no pain; the severed area was simply pitch black. She hurriedly used her other hand to catch the falling spine.
But before she could counterattack, Qing Long swung her own arm like a weapon, slamming it into her abdomen.
Xuan Wu couldn't block in time and was struck solidly, sent flying into the wall with a thud.
She wasn't sure how she felt—neither pain nor itch, just an overall discomfort.
Qing Long chuckled lightly, weighing the arm in his hand, then hurled it like a spear at Xuan Wu embedded in the wall.
The arm flew straight and true, embedding vertically into her abdomen like a steel nail, pinning her in place.
Xuan Wu showed no sign of distress, merely coughing lightly.
She reached out and slowly pulled the arm from her abdomen, dropping from the wall.
Her abdominal wound was pitch black, and her long hair veiled her expression.
She examined the arm in her hand and realized that, though severed, it still obeyed her control and could be used.
So, she gripped it with her left hand, and with that arm, she grasped the spine, forming a bizarre weapon.
For Xuan Wu, this battle was extraordinarily grueling.
After fighting for so long, she hadn't inflicted even the slightest injury on Qing Long.
The path forward had to be taken step by step. To kill Qing Long, she had to start by making him bleed.
Qing Long saw the killing intent in her eyes and sneered, "Xuan Wu... still not giving up? Do you really think you can kill me with 'force'?"
"I only know that you cheated," Xuan Wu replied coldly. "Cheaters must face punishment. No one is exempt here."
"I'll be done playing soon," Qing Long said. "Then I'll take all your 'reason'—not leaving a single trace."
"Take my reason..." Xuan Wu slowly smirked. "Taking my reason sounds perfect..."
Qing Long furrowed his brow, but before he could speak, he saw Xuan Wu charging at him with her strange weapon, using Yue Qian.
In an instant, she was upon him. As Qing Long focused intently on her remaining arm, preparing to block, he watched as Xuan Wu casually tossed her own arm into the air.
The arm twisted in midair, then gripped the spine and swung downward with force.
As Qing Long moved to defend, everything went dark before his eyes.
Two eyeballs had suddenly appeared in Xuan Wu's remaining hand. She crushed them in her grip and drove her fist into Qing Long's abdomen.
Qing Long lost his vision momentarily and, before he could react, felt a severe impact in his abdomen.
Then, a cool sensation swept across his face, from the top of his head straight down to his chin.
There was a ripping sound.
In that second, both Qing Long and Xuan Wu froze.
Xuan Wu slowly raised her head and caught her arm as it fell.
Qing Long's entire skull had been split in two by the spine, its insides blooming like a freshly opened flower in vivid red.
She had assumed Qing Long possessed "immortality" like her, but the wound on his head was not black.
Now, with his head cleaved apart and his eyes hollow voids, Qing Long looked like a vengeful ghost, his hair disheveled.
"Ha ha..." Qing Long's bisected mouth laughed in unison. "Wonderful... Xuan Wu, you did great. I never imagined I'd see a day like this."
As his words faded, the two halves of Qing Long's head gradually merged back together, and his eyeballs reformed in their sockets like swirling vortices.
