Chapter 1004: Finding the Girl

"Ah...?" Zhao Yisheng immediately felt something was off.

At that moment, both Wen Qiaoyun and Yan Zhichun turned to look at him, while Xu Liunian and Zhang Shan frowned.

Before anyone could speak, Chen Junnan was the first to ask, "What's going on between you and Old Qi? Why are you two involved? I don't get it—he insisted I pass this message to you."

"Mom... damn it..." Zhao Yisheng suddenly frowned. "Don't pull this on me... What's this 'plan starting' and 'not understanding'? How does your plan have anything to do with me?"

"Oh...?" Chen Junnan blinked. "Oh, oh, oh! Right, right, right, my bad, no big deal, we're not even close..."

With that, he kept winking at Zhao Yisheng, as if unilaterally sealing the deal on the plan.

Zhao Yisheng knew Chen Junnan was just making things up, but this tactic was too sneaky.

In the whole team, he was the only one from Qi Xia's room, so if there was any "spy," it had to be him.

"Don't listen to his nonsense..." Zhao Yisheng quickly turned back to the group and said, "I'm not with them..."

"I know." Yan Zhichun nodded. "This method is way too crude... Is it really Qi Xia's scheme?"

"What... What 'scheme'?" Chen Junnan quickly shook his head. "Don't talk nonsense. Zhao Yisheng isn't that kind of person. You all treat him well, let's stick together."

"Damn." Zhang Shan stepped forward with a look of disdain. "Using tactics to sow discord like this—what kind of skill is that? If you've got the guts, stay right there, and I'll come deal with you!"

He took a few steps forward, as if trying to cross the "Chu He Han Jie" directly into Chen Junnan's room.

But Wen Qiaoyun stepped up and held Zhang Shan back, furrowing her brows and shaking her head at him.

Zhang Shan thought for a moment, seemingly understanding Wen Qiaoyun's intention, then slowly stepped back to his original spot.

"Well..." Chen Junnan saw this and slightly furrowed his brows, noting their little maneuver. "Old Zhang, what's up? Legs not working?"

"Damn." Zhang Shan cursed. "You little punk, don't let me catch you, or I'll give you a proper beating."

"I'll handle it." Yan Zhichun said. "Xu Liunian, you come with me. Jin Yuanxun, go back and report the current situation to Chu Tianqiu right away."

"Got it..." Xu Liunian and Jin Yuanxun nodded after hearing that.

"Oh, man..." Chen Junnan realized Yan Zhichun was about to enter his room and quickly shut the door and fled.

"Stop right there." Yan Zhichun snapped coldly, reaching out as if opening a door in the void.

She secretly used "Huixiang" to try and control Chen Junnan into opening the door, but there was no response from his side.

"What's going on...?" She furrowed her brows slightly, then looked down at her palm. This feeling was a bit odd.

It was like punching with "Huixiang" and hitting a soft cushion.

"What happened...?" The others looked at her in confusion.

"'Huixiang' seems... really unstable..." Yan Zhichun said. "It feels intermittent."

Chen Junnan had made his way to the side room, where Zheng Yingxiong was waiting by the door.

"Kid!" Chen Junnan whispered. "Hurry back and tell Old Qi that Wen Qiaoyun stopped Zhang Shan from 'crossing the river,' but Yan Zhichun and Xu Liunian can! After you deliver the message, come back to me!"

"Understood!" Zheng Yingxiong nodded. "Chen Junnan, you be careful!"

"What 'Chen Junnan'? Call me bro!" Chen Junnan reached out to pat Zheng Yingxiong's head, but Zheng Yingxiong nimbly dodged.

He quickly covered his nose and ran toward the "preparation area" to relay the information to Qi Xia.

Watching Zheng Yingxiong run off, Chen Junnan took a deep breath, then picked another door and opened it: "Hey, Zhao Yisheng..."

The group on the "Chu He Han Jie" side was stunned again and turned to look at Chen Junnan.

"What are you up to now?" Zhao Yisheng asked.

"Don't get mad, come over here—I have something to tell you." Chen Junnan said.

"I'm not going! Say whatever you have to say right here!" Zhao Yisheng said. "Be straightforward and don't cause me any trouble."

"It's not that... I don't get what you're afraid of." Chen Junnan furrowed his brows and stretched. "I've got six 'zi' on me, you've got one 'zi'—so between us, who's really more scared of getting robbed?"

"This..."

Zhao Yisheng was at a loss for words for a moment, realizing Chen Junnan had a point, but he quickly became alert again.

"How could you possibly have six 'zi'?!"

Chen Junnan shrugged, then reached into his pocket and fiddled with the chain peeking out. "Take a look, how about it? This chain's quality—it's probably an artifact, right? Zhao Yisheng, help me check if it's from the Shang Zhou dynasty or just last week."

Although Wen Qiaoyun hadn't interacted much with Chen Junnan, she'd quickly figured out what kind of person he was.

"How about this." She stepped forward and said, "I'll take a look for you."

Chen Junnan paused, knowing Wen Qiaoyun was no ordinary person—if she examined it, she'd likely spot the flaw, so he instinctively stepped back.

"What...?" Wen Qiaoyun smiled. "Me checking your 'zi'—would that mess up your plan?"

"Not really." Chen Junnan said. "Our plan is so cutting-edge, just hearing the name would scare you to death."

"Oh?" Wen Qiaoyun's smile grew even brighter. "So, what's the name?"

"This plan is called..." Chen Junnan hesitated, as if making it up on the spot, and after a few seconds, he slowly said, "It's called... Waiting in the Boudoir for the 'Zi'!"

"......?"

The five of them on the other side were all stunned, and even Wen Qiaoyun realized her understanding of the man in front of her was still a bit superficial.

"It means I'm carrying the 'zi', damn it, waiting in the boudoir for you all." Chen Junnan said. "If you want in, come on in—I'm planning to find a boudoir friend today."

Wen Qiaoyun chuckled lightly and took another step forward, almost reaching the entrance of Chen Junnan's room.

She pulled out her chain from the pocket of her jeans, gripped the 'zi' in her hand, and slowly raised it in a fist.

"What's your name?"

"Chen Junnan."

"Good, Chen Junnan." Wen Qiaoyun said, holding the 'zi'. "Right now, what I have in my hand is my 'zi'. Want to gamble with me one-on-one?"

"Gamble...?" Chen Junnan thought for a moment. He always felt that talking to Wen Qiaoyun was like facing Qi Xia—though the pressure wasn't as intense, he couldn't let his guard down.

"You take out one 'zi' too." Wen Qiaoyun said. "We'll each guess what's on the other's 'zi', but only one chance. If you guess right, you get my 'zi'; if I guess right, I get yours."
