Chapter 303: Commander Yang
"You're Yang Kai?" The middle-aged man looked at Yang Kai with a solemn expression.
Yang Kai nodded.
"I'm Commander Yang!" The middle-aged man introduced himself, observing Yang Kai closely, as if trying to see something extraordinary about him.
After a moment of silence, Commander Yang continued, "Your subordinate, Lin Feng, has spoken to me about the situation. You say you can communicate with the Canglan Battleship's Artifact Spirit and have brought news from within?"
"Yes, Commander Yang," Yang Kai replied.
"Can you be sure of what you say?"
"Every word is true."
Commander Yang fell silent again, his gaze fixed on Yang Kai. After a while, he sighed softly, "To be honest, I still find it hard to believe, but the situation within the Canglan Battleship has been dire. If there's even a sliver of hope, I can't give up."
He paused, then looked at Yang Kai again, "You said you want us to provide people and resources to go in and assist?"
"That's right," Yang Kai nodded. "The Canglan Battleship's Artifact Spirit will need help."
"What do you need?"
"The Artifact Spirit needs a large number of materials to repair itself and the battleship. It also needs some cultivators to follow its instructions and help complete the repairs."
"What cultivation level of cultivators are needed?"
"Artifact Refiners would be best, but if there aren't many, those proficient in formations or with strong cultivation bases will do. The main thing is to be able to withstand the intense pressure inside the battleship."
Commander Yang nodded slowly, his expression thoughtful. "I understand. We will do our best to gather suitable individuals and resources. However, the Canglan Battleship is extremely dangerous. Are you sure it's safe for them to enter?"
"The Artifact Spirit will ensure their safety as much as possible, but there will still be risks," Yang Kai admitted honestly.
"Hmm," Commander Yang mused, "It seems this is a necessary risk. We will prepare immediately. When do you plan to enter again?"
"The sooner the better," Yang Kai replied. "The Artifact Spirit is running out of time."
"Very well," Commander Yang stood up. "We will make arrangements right away. You can rest here for now. We will inform you when everything is ready."
"Thank you, Commander Yang," Yang Kai said.
Commander Yang nodded and left.
After Commander Yang left, Yang Kai was led to a temporary residence. He sat down to rest, pondering the situation.
He knew that persuading Commander Yang wouldn't be easy, but he had to try. The fate of the Canglan Battleship and the people trapped inside depended on it.
Time passed slowly. Yang Kai meditated, recovering his strength and waiting.
Finally, after what felt like a long time, someone came to inform him that Commander Yang was ready to see him.
Yang Kai followed the person and was led back to Commander Yang's location.
Commander Yang was seated at a table, looking much more relaxed than before.
"We have gathered some people and resources," Commander Yang said. "It wasn't easy, but we managed."
Yang Kai felt a surge of hope. "That's great!"
"However," Commander Yang continued, "there's still a significant challenge. The resources we've gathered are only a fraction of what's needed. The materials required for the Canglan Battleship are rare and difficult to find."
Yang Kai's heart sank slightly, but he understood. The Canglan Battleship was an ancient and powerful artifact, and its repair would naturally require extraordinary materials.
"What about the people?" Yang Kai asked.
"We have gathered a group of experienced Artifact Refiners and cultivators," Commander Yang replied. "They are willing to go, understanding the risks involved."
"That's good," Yang Kai said. At least there was a start.
"Now," Commander Yang said, his expression serious, "we need to discuss how to get these people and resources into the Canglan Battleship. The entrance is volatile and dangerous."
Yang Kai explained the method he used to enter and exit, and how the Artifact Spirit could assist.
Commander Yang listened intently, his brow furrowed in concentration.
After a thorough discussion, they came up with a plan. Commander Yang would arrange for a large-scale operation to transport the people and resources to the vicinity of the Canglan Battleship. Yang Kai, with the help of the Artifact Spirit, would guide them in.
It was a risky plan, but it was their best option.
The next few days were a whirlwind of activity. Commander Yang and his subordinates worked tirelessly to mobilize resources and prepare for the operation. Yang Kai communicated with the Artifact Spirit, coordinating their efforts.
Finally, the day arrived. A large fleet of ships gathered, loaded with precious materials and a determined group of cultivators.
Yang Kai stood on the deck of the lead ship, looking at the imposing figure of the Canglan Battleship in the distance. He felt a mix of apprehension and determination.
Commander Yang stood beside him, his gaze fixed on the battleship as well.
"Are you ready?" Commander Yang asked.
Yang Kai nodded. "Ready as I'll ever be."
With a signal from Commander Yang, the fleet began to move, sailing towards the Canglan Battleship, towards the unknown, towards hope.
