The night passed uneventfully, and dawn arrived in the blink of an eye.
Within Wan Hua Gu, Ye Chen and Zhuge Laotou were still aiding Dao Huang in refining his body and soul.
Both were utterly drained. Ye Chen fared slightly better, due to the abundant vital energy and vigorous life force of his Sheng Ti. Zhuge Laotou, however, was in a poor state; his face had turned pale, and his mind was swimming from the prolonged use of his spiritual power, which had taken a significant toll.
Nevertheless, their efforts over the day and night had not been in vain.
Although Dao Huang had not yet awakened, his life force was beginning to surge. Especially after Ye Chen infused him with fresh blood from his Sheng Ti, a faint golden radiance now enveloped his entire body.
"Another two hours should do it," Ye Chen said, wiping the sweat from his brow without a second thought.
But that casual gesture caused Fu Ling, Zhuge Laotou, and Du Gu Ao to sharply narrow their eyes, their gazes fixed intently on the emerald ring on Ye Chen's finger.
"Xuan Cang Yu Jie?" Du Gu Ao shifted his gaze from the ring to Ye Chen.
"Kid, where did you get that ring?" Zhuge Laotou stared unblinkingly at the Xuan Cang Yu Jie.
"Qianbei Zhong Yan passed it to me," Ye Chen replied without any attempt to conceal it—it was impossible to hide anyway. Du Gu Ao and the others were renowned experts, so it was no surprise they recognized the Xuan Cang Yu Jie.
"Zhong Yan?" At the mention of the name, Du Gu Ao, Zhuge Laotou, and Fu Ling exchanged glances.
"So, you're the ninety-ninth generation Sheng Zhu of Yan Huang now?" Du Gu Ao asked Ye Chen.
Ye Chen nodded with a smile.
Seeing his nod, subtle glints flickered in the eyes of the three, and even the way they looked at Ye Chen changed. Had they not spotted the Xuan Cang Yu Jie, they might not have realized until now that he was the ninety-ninth generation Sheng Zhu of Yan Huang.
"I've heard that Yan Huang is unified under a mysterious Sheng Zhu, but I never imagined it was this kid," Zhuge Laotou sighed.
"No wonder he commands such a massive cultivator army," Du Gu Ao mused. "It must be the forces of Yan Huang."
"Looks like we've all underestimated him," Fu Ling said with a light smile.
As the three spoke softly amongst themselves, three strands of divine sense entered their minds—it was from Ye Chen. The divine sense contained various memories related to him.
After three to five seconds, Du Gu Ao, Fu Ling, and Zhuge Laotou froze in place, their gazes uniformly directed at Ye Chen.
It was no wonder—they were stunned by the shocking information within Ye Chen's divine sense, such as the matters of Heng Yue Sect's Zhang Jiao, Qing Yun Zong, alliances with various great families, and partnerships with Dan Cheng and Guang Han Gong.
"He's actually controlling such a vast power," Zhuge Laotou's expression revealed a rare shock.
"We've all been kept in the dark. The forces he commands now could sweep away any faction in Da Chu," Du Gu Ao said, his sharp eyes flickering with astonishment despite his usual aloofness.
"How did he accomplish all this in such a short time?" Fu Ling was utterly amazed.
For a while, Wan Hua Gu fell into an eerie silence. Du Gu Ao, Fu Ling, and Zhuge Laotou never took their eyes off Ye Chen. This junior had done so many unimaginable things.
As for Ye Chen, he had anticipated their reactions. So many earth-shattering events would shock anyone.
It wasn't until an hour later that Ye Chen finally lowered his hands.
He exhaled sharply and staggered slightly, nearly falling over.
Zhuge Laotou was not faring much better—they had both expended a great deal of energy over the day and night, leaving their vital forces somewhat depleted.
"At most, in two hours, Qianbei Dao Huang should wake up," Ye Chen said with a laugh, wiping his sweat.
"Thank you, my friend—we owe you another debt of gratitude."
"It's nothing, truly nothing," Ye Chen waved it off, then lifted his weary legs and walked to a comfortable spot to sit down. He set up a fire rack and skewered a large spirit sheep on it.
"You know, I'm actually pretty hungry," Zhuge Laotou said, eagerly joining him.
As for Bi You, after sitting down, she occasionally glanced sideways at Ye Chen.
"After we parted that day, you've been through a lot!" Bi You said, hugging her knees.
"Not bad," Ye Chen replied casually, while sprinkling some strange seasonings on the spirit sheep.
"Look at you two getting along so well—why not just get married?" Zhuge Laotou watched Ye Chen and Bi You with gleaming eyes, rubbing his hands as he added, "Seriously, you two make a great pair."
"Grandfather, you're talking nonsense again." Bi You glared at Zhuge Laotou, her cheeks flushing red in an instant.
"Exactly!" Ye Chen glanced at Zhuge Laotou. "We're so familiar with each other—taking it to the bed would make me too embarrassed to make a move!"
Uh...
Zhuge Laotou's mouth fell open, and his lips twitched several times.
Bi You's face turned completely red. She hadn't expected Ye Chen to say something so frivolous and quickly got up to leave.
After Bi You walked away, Ye Chen scooted closer to Zhuge Laotou. He poked him with a finger and said with a wink, "Hey, old man, are you interested in that Qianbei Fu Ling?"
"You figured that out?"
"Of course, I'm not blind." Ye Chen blinked at Zhuge Laotou. "Want me to help you out? If I step in, it's guaranteed to work."
"Let's hear it." Zhuge Laotou's eyes lit up, and he moved closer to Ye Chen, even draping an arm over his shoulder.
"I've got a few baskets of aphrodisiacs—want to buy some?"
"Go to hell!" Zhuge Laotou jumped up and kicked Ye Chen away.
Giving Fu Ling drugs?
Are you kidding?
She was Dao Huang's sister—if Dao Huang woke up and found out, he might split me in half with a single blade.
Boom!
As they talked, a thunderous boom echoed, followed by a streak of rainbow light shooting straight into the sky.
They both looked over immediately.
There, Dao Huang had risen, his eyes suddenly opening wide and releasing two tangible beams of sharp light.
He truly had an overwhelming presence—his body was tall and sturdy like a mountain, with thick black hair cascading like a waterfall. His entire form was covered in golden light, radiating a brilliant glow. Most strikingly, his domineering aura even distorted the surrounding space.
Roar!
He let out a long howl toward the sky, his roar mingled with the sound of dragon cries. It expelled the turbid energy from his body and thundered like lightning, shaking the vast heavens.
"What an incredibly powerful pressure," Ye Chen said, his mouth agape in shock.
"He's finally awake." Zhuge Laotou stood up and approached Dao Huang.
"Brother." Fu Ling's eyes were already red.
"Father!" Bi You was even more emotional, rushing into Dao Huang's arms, her tears soaking his clothes.
"You're still the same Dao Huang!" Du Gu Ao laughed heartily.
"This moment is truly moving as hell!" Zhuge Laotou walked over, his aged face suddenly looking much younger.
"I never thought I'd see you all again." Dao Huang smiled with a touch of weariness, his voice deep and resonant like thunder, but hoarse. Clearly, he had endured much over the past century, his body bearing the marks of time.
What followed was an emotional scene that nearly brought tears to Ye Chen's eyes from a distance.
"Father, the one you should thank most is Ye Chen—he saved me and once saved Aunt as well." At some point, Bi You wiped away her tears and pointed to Ye Chen, who was nearby gnawing on a sheep leg.
"Ye Chen?" Dao Huang instinctively looked over.
"It's me, it's me." Ye Chen tossed aside the sheep leg, wiped the grease off himself, and hurried over.
But when Dao Huang saw Ye Chen's face and the Xuan Cang Yu Jie on his hand, he froze for a moment.
Then, he stepped forward, bowed with his hands clasped, and said with reverence, "Junior Sui Hu, I pay my respects to you, Senior."
