Chapter 3175: Showing Affection

Chapter 3175: Showing Off Affection

The moonlight was bright, and peach blossom petals drifted through the forest.

All the supreme beings had withdrawn their divine senses and were attending to their own affairs, occasionally glancing towards Zhao Yun’s room.

Talented individuals were always rare, like nuts being cracked together.

That night, Ye Chen was relatively serious. He sat under the moon with a wine flask, quietly gazing at the starry sky, observing the mysteries of the universe – or rather, scrutinizing the Heavenly Dao.

This universe did have a Heavenly Dao.

However, it differed from the one in his own realm. Here, the Heavenly Dao seemed to be embodied by the supreme gods, as if they had divided it among themselves, controlling the unseen order and rules.

Thus, each of them could be called the Celestial Sovereign.

It was fortunate that the supreme gods could not arbitrarily interfere in worldly affairs; otherwise, many things would be impossible to handle.

“Eternal unity, invincible under heaven.”

This phrase was accurate, but the supreme gods were an exception, for they were the heavens themselves.

This was what he could discern; there were still many things beyond his comprehension.

This universe was full of unknowns; perhaps in some corner of the world, there were many hidden secrets.

And those secrets were related to the Eternal Immortal Realm.

That was why he wanted to stand at the pinnacle of the Dao, to see if the Eternal Immortal Realm was truly an eternal kingdom, and what its existence meant in the world – daring to refine the universe into a heavenly character.

If possible, he wanted to meet the supreme gods of this universe.

As they were the Heavenly Dao and the Celestial Sovereigns, they likely knew about the Eternal Immortal Realm and might resolve his doubts.

“Come on, stand up.”

Kuang Yingjie was drunk and pulled Ye Chen to his feet.

Ye Chen was puzzled.

“Garbage, all of you sitting here are garbage.”

Kuang Yingjie was indeed arrogant enough. He dragged Ye Chen up and started cursing at the other male supreme beings who were still seated. He was completely out of it, like a guard dog barking wildly.

This outburst made the faces of the male supreme beings darken.

However, Kuang Yingjie did have the qualifications; aside from Zhao Yun and Ye Chen, he seemed to be the strongest, even making Shenlong Daozun step aside. The only issue was that his arrogance had gone too far.

“This is fun.”

“Come on, you sit down, and I’ll say it too.”

Ye Chen was quite perceptive and pressed the swaying Kuang Yingjie back into his seat.

The atmosphere became awkward, intensely so.

Kuang Yingjie stopped being arrogant and suddenly became as meek as a lamb.

When it came to presence, Ye Chen was more intimidating.

It was fortunate that Zhao Yun was still healing; if he were here, this guy would be even more subdued.

Ye Chen didn’t say it out loud, but a single look conveyed everything.

Seeing the male supreme beings all hanging their heads, they had no choice but to submit.

Ye Chen walked away, stretching lazily. As he passed a peach blossom tree, he plucked a flower.

Then, he tucked it into Ji Ningshuang’s hair; the flower was beautiful, and so was she.

“What should we do on such a fine night?”

He said, cradling the back of his head and lying down on Yaochi’s lap. From this angle, his wife looked quite captivating – who wouldn’t, with a wife like hers?

“People who show off affection should all be dragged out and cut to pieces.”

Whether the male supreme beings or the female deities, their eyes all conveyed that sentiment.

Ye Chen didn’t mind at all.

Ji Ningshuang seemed a bit dazed, like a bookish scholar who had read too many ancient texts.

This daze seemed to have crossed some boundary.

In Ye Chen’s view, Yaochi’s mind was mostly in a state of dormancy.

A gentle breeze blew, and Ye Chen suddenly vanished.

He had likely created a dream and taken Ji Ningshuang into it with him.

“An old man like me can tell with a flick of the fingers – the scene must be quite steamy.”

“Three seconds, no more.”

“Don’t mess around; that’s the Desolate Ancient Holy Body, the most dominant bloodline in the various heavens.”

“Having mastered the Dream Dao sure is convenient.”

The male supreme beings chatted away, their heads bobbing like rattles, glancing around in hopes of finding Ye Chen’s dream realm. If they could watch it live, that would be an honor.

Alas, their divine eyes were limited and saw nothing.

Still, their guess wasn’t wrong – the scene in the dream was indeed quite captivating.

Ah!

There was a soft feminine sigh; to outsiders, it would sound more wonderful than any immortal melody.

This day was worth commemorating for Ye Chen.

How to put it? He and Ji Ningshuang had finally done it without any nonsense interrupting. First, there was the evil demon’s chaotic melody, then the Ghost Emperor’s sun and moon curse, followed by that Kui Niu causing trouble, and during the ancient primordial times when they reverted to childhood – it seemed none of those times were normal. After so many years across past and present lives, this time was the most touching.

“Where did he go?”

In the void, murmurs echoed.

Even the supreme gods were up late at night, not speaking properly, and most were quite improper. Their old eyes were dim, and they couldn’t find Ye Chen’s dream realm. Where was the promised treat?

“Wife, who can find me a wife?”

In the peach blossom forest, there were many grumbling voices, like from Xuan Yang the little old man or those ancient deities who had never married. They were the legendary single dogs; the long nights were hard to endure.

Even after becoming gods, their six senses remained impure.

Boom!

In the dead of night, a divine rainbow shot up from the bamboo house, piercing a massive hole in the sky.

It was Zhao Yun, who had broken through.

Although it was three days later than Ye Chen, he wasn’t late. Benefiting from the interweaving and fusion of eternity, the visions he manifested were different from Ye Chen’s, but their eternal paths converged. Strands of profound heavenly sounds formed the most enchanting immortal melodies in the world, leaving the deities in a trance.

Such visions and sounds persisted for three full days without cease.

“That guy should be coming out soon.”

Many deities muttered, tilting their heads to look at the sky; the “guy” they meant was Ye Chen.

He had been in the dream for three days – was he that enduring?

Unfortunately, they still couldn’t find the dream realm, so they just stared at the sky.

“What’s there to look at?”

Zhao Yun suddenly appeared.

“Looking at the stars.”

The deities’ responses were remarkably unanimous.

“How poetic.”

Zhao Yun glanced at the sky, then surveyed the surroundings. All the deities were there, except for Ye Chen and Ji Ningshuang. Clearly, the two had entered a dream and were probably in the midst of it.

“If this were outside, it would probably shake the mountains.”

Kuang Yingjie clicked his tongue.

After saying that, he glanced sideways at Zhao Yun. Honestly, he found Zhao Yun even more unpleasant than Ye Chen.

Zhao Yun ignored him.

If this Kuang guy wanted to spar with him, he wouldn’t mind sending him to the Western Paradise for a spin. There were so many women in the world, yet he had to find one who looked exactly like Di Xian – how talented was that!

“Time flies like a knife!”

Once he withdrew his gaze, Zhao Yun sat down right between Yue Shen and Di Xian, comfortably inhaling the scent of women. Having wives was great, and they were both so beautiful – wasn’t that infuriating?

“People who show off affection should all be dragged out and cut to pieces.”

The deities repeated what they had said earlier, their eyes on Zhao Yun even more slanted than on Ye Chen. No wonder they were both cultivators of eternity – they shared the same nature.

“You’re better off dead.”

Yue Shen glanced at Zhao Yun.

Compared to her, Di Xian on the other side was much gentler, like a delicate lady from a humble home, while Yue Shen was like Ye Chen’s wives – prone to violence.

The moonlight remained as bright as ever.

In the peach blossom forest, all was peaceful and serene. The deities were bored, just waiting around.

Waiting for whom? Ye Chen.

He had been in the dream for three days without showing up, and now with the great battle imminent, he still hadn’t emerged.

“What should we do on such a fine night?”

Zhao Yun propped up his face with one hand, extremely bored and looking for something to do.

“How about we go first?”

Shenlong Daozun stroked his beard, speaking deeply.

The deities’ faces darkened; at this critical moment, there were always those who dropped the ball. Their team’s two main forces – one was occupied, and the other was on the verge – wasn’t that miraculous?

It wasn’t until late at night that Ye Chen emerged from the dream.

After three days, he truly looked radiant, his demeanor clearly spelling one word: satisfied.

Following him was Ji Ningshuang.

The East Wasteland Female Emperor of the various heavens still seemed a bit dazed. On her peerless immortal face, there was an undeniable flush, accentuated by the bright moonlight and her stunning grace, adding a unique charm.

“What’s with the daze? Let’s go!”

Ye Chen called out.

“If not for waiting for you, we would’ve gone ages ago.”

“I don’t like hearing that; a moment of spring is worth a thousand gold.”

“Go to hell.”

Amid the cursing, the deities finally set off, like streaks of divine light shooting into the sky.

Boom! Boom!

The starry sky rumbled, unable to withstand the deities’ pressure, as they barreled straight ahead. Ye Chen and Zhao Yun led the way side by side, eternity still interweaving and casting the most brilliant divine glow.

This time, no one was hiding; each carried their weapons, their killing intent soaring. Wherever they passed, the starry sky trembled, and rolling murderous aura formed a dark curtain, obscuring the proper order.

“They’re here.”

The deities watching the spectacle poked their heads out first.

Just as expected – once those who comprehended eternity recovered, they would settle scores one by one.

The great drama had begun.

“Is this heading toward the Baluo Demon Domain?”

“It doesn’t matter which one; the Buddha Realm, Purgatory, Immortal Tombs – one of them will fall.”

“The Demon Domain is probably going to be wiped out.”

Discussions abounded, rising and falling. Deities from all sides had gathered, offering silent condolences to the Demon Domain. Judging by Zhao Yun and their formation, they were boldly unafraid.

Indeed, just Ye Chen and Zhao Yun alone were enough to give the Demon Domain indigestion.

In reality, Baluo was in more than just indigestion; he hurt all over. When he heard that Ye Chen and Zhao Yun were attacking, his face turned pale. How had their injuries healed so quickly? The Demon Domain hadn’t even finished preparing, and the enemy was already upon them. Though the supreme inheritance still had its foundations, it might not hold off two eternities. Once the battle started, the Demon Domain could truly be destroyed.

“Send for aid.”

Baluo snorted coldly; they had no choice but to call for help from the forbidden zones.

“Old hag, I hope you’re well.”

Outside the Baluo Demon Domain, Zhao Yun stood firm, his words cold and desolate. The pressure of eternity erupted abruptly, his killing intent bare, as he sought to settle the score for sealing Di Xian for five hundred years.

“Do you really want endless war?”

The Baluo Demon God snorted coldly, though at a disadvantage, he still upheld the dignity of the Demon Domain’s ruler.

“What do you think?”

Ye Chen replied lightly, his tone icy, as he drew the Eternal Sword. He huffed on the blade and wiped it with his sleeve – it needed to be polished, for it would soon taste blood.
