Chapter 3105: Gasps for Air

Chapter 3105: Da Chuan Qi Er

With a single sneeze, the entire world fell silent.

Everyone present, whether clients, servants, the madam, or the courtesans, held their breath, afraid that someone might sneeze again.

"It's... it's so strong."

Zi Xin's mouth hung open in shock, quickly followed by delight. What she had encountered wasn't just a noble person; it was an absolute stroke of heaven-defying luck! This risky move she had made earlier was worth it, bringing her a glimmer of hope.

"As expected."

Chi Yan Xiong Shi stood tall and straight, his earlier cowardice vanishing without a trace, replaced by sudden confidence.

Of course! His boss was incredibly tough.

The calmest one was Ye Chen.

He strutted along with his usual arrogant gait, stepping right over people as he went. Each step produced a cracking sound of bones, and just watching it was painful, let alone experiencing it.

Those who had been knocked out were in a sorry state, twitching even in their unconsciousness. When they woke up, they'd surely have shattered fractures.

Under the watchful eyes of all, Ye Chen left the brothel, leaving only a small but striking silhouette for the world to see.

Zi Xin hurried after him.

"Where are you going? Help out."

Chi Yan Xiong Shi pulled her back.

They had won the fight, so there were spoils to claim.

That was the one thing passed down from his ancestors that he remembered clearly.

As he spoke, his hands were already busy. Not a single person who had been knocked out escaped—everything they had, except their clothes, was taken without hesitation.

In this regard, he was quite similar to Ye Chen: if they were going to rob, they'd clean them out completely.

Zi Xin felt a bit awkward and glanced around, lingering a second longer on the madam.

Why are you looking at me?

The madam coughed dryly, feeling a chill run through her body. It wasn't Zi Xin she feared, but that little figure. And she wasn't the only one; everyone there was afraid. Who would have thought that visiting a brothel would uncover such a formidable being?

"You're so lucky."

Many of the courtesans murmured, their eyes on Zi Xin filled with envy. She had finally met a benefactor and wouldn't have to stay in this dreadful place anymore. As for themselves, heaven only knew when someone might come to redeem them.

Zi Xin lowered her gaze.

Once everything was done, she rolled up her sleeves too. She had figured it out: Ye Chen handled the fighting, while they, as his little followers, were in charge of cleaning up the battlefield.

Honestly, this kind of looting was a first for her, and it was way more thrilling than anything else.

Soon, they had swept everything clean.

"See you around."

Chi Yan Xiong Shi grinned cheerfully, shouldering a large sack and waving as he left.

The people there collectively twitched their mouths. See you? Not likely—we'd rather not see you ever again.

Zi Xin also hoisted her share of the loot. Before leaving, she glanced back, her mind wandering. She had spent her humiliating years here. When she looked at the other courtesans, all she could say was, "Take care."

After all, she wasn't some savior.

The brutal law of survival was just that harsh.

The two of them left.

Behind them, there was no sound for a long time.

When noise finally broke out, it was a mad scramble as everyone fled the brothel, which suddenly emptied out. They ran as far as they could, terrified that the little one might come back for another round.

That night, many people were destined for sleepless hours, especially those who had been knocked out and robbed.

In the city center, Ye Chen reappeared.

The teleportation array had been repaired, allowing them to go even farther. As Zi Xin had said, there was a sect hiding a Dun Jia Tian Zi.

That was their next destination.

As for finding Zhao Yun, it would have to wait. First, he needed to gather enough Dun Jia Tian Zi to break his own seals. Otherwise, even if he went to the divine realm, he'd just be a target for the supreme beings.

"Boss."

Chi Yan Xiong Shi chuckled happily, hauling out the looted treasures and piling them into a small mountain in the teleportation channel. There was quite a haul—those people's identities weren't simple, and they were all here for an auction, so of course they carried valuables. They had brought the goods, but now they were all taken.

Ye Chen didn't even glance at it, just casually picking a few items.

"Here, for you."

"And this, for you."

The rest of the treasures were divided between his two little followers. Chi Yan Xiong Shi was used to it by now, but Zi Xin was pleasantly surprised. This boss was worth following—his generosity was unmatched.

"Does he have any old friends in the immortal realm?"

Ye Chen suddenly asked, speaking to Zi Xin. The "he" referred to Zhao Yun.

"Yes."

Zi Xin's answer made Ye Chen's eyes light up.

"But basically, they're all dead."

Her follow-up left Ye Chen on the verge of cursing. This girl really knew how to leave you hanging!

"I heard that back then, he fought to the death to save his lover," Zi Xin continued. "For some reason, he revived years later. During the time he was gone from life to rebirth, his friends and family were pretty much wiped out by his enemies. When he went to the divine realm, it was to find a way to resurrect them. By now, it's been many years."

Ye Chen frowned as he listened.

Zi Xin wasn't lying to him.

He had heard about Zhao Yun's lover back in the various heavenly realms from Kuang Ying Jie. That battle hadn't just claimed Zhao Yun; Kuang Ying Jie had also been destroyed. No need to ask—it must have been an incredibly fierce fight.

No wonder Zhao Yun had been so desperate to return from the underworld. With so many loved ones killed, the pain must have been heart-wrenching.

He just didn't know if Zhao Yun had found a resurrection method in the divine realm by now.

Zi Xin's bright eyes noticed Ye Chen's worry and quickly pieced it together. This senior in front of her must be an old friend of the immortal realm's war god.

In that moment, she felt an unprecedented sense of honor. She might never meet that deity in her life, but encountering his friend was glory enough.

Chi Yan Xiong Shi sat cross-legged, sorting through the treasures as a loyal listener. He didn't understand what the two were talking about, but from Ye Chen's expression, it was clear his mood wasn't great—and there was a hint of killing intent.

Sometime later, the three of them emerged from the teleportation array.

Chi Yan Xiong Shi transformed into his true form, carrying Ye Chen and Zi Xin on his back, heading straight east as guided. For Ye Chen, nothing mattered more right now than a Dun Jia Tian Zi—not even a Huang Di weapon would be an even trade.

Along the way, Ye Chen frowned more than once because someone was divining him again—it was the same person as before, that blood-haired youth. What a persistent pest. From the divination force, he sensed a trace of killing intent and greed—clearly not a good guy. As for whether he was an enemy of Zhao Yun, he wasn't sure yet.

A breeze blew by, and blood trickled from the corner of Ye Chen's mouth. The blood-haired youth was divining him, and he was divining back.

The difference was, he was divining Ji Ning Shuang, just like the previous times, blocked by a barrier. His divination force collided with a loud bang, but he couldn't trace it to Yao Chi. Not only that, he suffered backlash, and it was stronger each time.

Where did she go?

Ye Chen muttered to himself. He had divined many people, but nothing this strange had happened before. He understood not finding the source, but being cut off midway by a barrier was baffling.

Still, that was sort of good news. If he couldn't divine her, others couldn't either—like the blood-haired youth, who'd be blocked by the same barrier if he tried.

He wasn't the only one suffering backlash.

The empress of the heavenly court wasn't faring much better. She had tried divining Ye Chen and Ji Ning Shuang more than once.

But she couldn't calculate anything, because they weren't in the same universe. An invisible cosmic barrier separated them, even making it hard for a Huang Di to cross.

As dawn approached, Chi Yan Xiong Shi landed in another ancient city. He didn't even shift to human form before dashing through the streets toward the center, turning the bustling roads into chaos. By the time people steadied themselves, he had already entered the teleportation array.

After several such teleports, the three finally stopped one quiet night in front of a mountain range.

The mountains under the moonlight were shrouded in mist, and even with Chi Yan Xiong Shi's full vision, he couldn't see through it. Neither could Zi Xin. Needless to say, there were concealing immortal formations at play.

To Ye Chen, those concealments were mere decorations. Though his vision and perception were sealed, he could still use Zhou Tian, seeing everything clearly. Deep in the mountains hid a sect, its immortal array operating even at night, drawing power from heaven and earth. The one who founded this sect had chosen a great spot—the layout was quite profound.

But none of that could stop a Quasi Huang Di.

Chi Yan Xiong Shi charged in without hesitation, with Ye Chen there to back him up. His massive body made the sky rumble, creating quite a stir in the quiet night.

Before long, he stopped in front of a void. There were no mountains or rivers here; the mist was thickest, and the sect was hidden deep within it.

Ye Chen used Zhou Tian, channeling through Chi Yan Xiong Shi as a medium, and broke the concealing array. The mist dispersed instantly, revealing a vast immortal mountain. It had many peaks, with colorful lights bursting forth, and starlight and moonlight gathering to cloak the sect in a peaceful, dazzling aura.

"Who goes there?"

Shouts erupted as more than a dozen figures rushed out, all armed and imposing.

But when they saw Ye Chen, they stopped dead in their tracks. They might not have seen him before, but they had heard of the events outside—from the brothel scene, where one sneeze had knocked out a room full of experts. Who'd have thought he'd show up here in the dead of night?

"Fellow Daoist, what brings you here so late at night?"

The sect leader tried to stay composed, though his heart was in turmoil. He forced himself to speak.

Ye Chen said nothing, surveying the entire sect. He didn't need to ask Zi Xin; he could already sense the Dun Jia Tian Zi. His gaze finally settled on one disciple, who seemed half-asleep and was rubbing his eyes at his door.

"You, come out."

Ye Chen pointed at the disciple from afar.

"Fellow Daoist, you..."

"Get lost."

The sect leader started to speak, but Ye Chen cut him off with two words, leaving him awkwardly chuckling. He had no idea what connection this senior had with his disciple. Had the kid somehow offended this formidable figure? If so, he'd have to disown him to save the sect.

By then, the disciple had come out from the peak, not daring to breathe. Even the leader was cowed, so what about him? He racked his brain a thousand times and was sure he hadn't seen or provoked this little senior before.

"Are you the one who slept with her?"

Chi Yan Xiong Shi glanced at Zi Xin.

Zi Xin shot him a fierce side-eye. The lion was spot on—if that disciple hadn't visited the brothel, she wouldn't have known about his Dun Jia Tian Zi.

But that wasn't important now.

What mattered was that she had succeeded this time, helping Ye Chen find it, which proved her value. At least for the short term, he wouldn't abandon her—that was her hope.
