Chapter 3034: Supreme Beings Team Up

Boom! Rumble!

On the dim Tai Gu Lu, a massive war erupted in an instant—a group battle of Zhi Zun against Zhi Zun. As for the Mo Bing and Mo Jiang, they had no qualification to join the fight, each one hiding farther away than the last.

Even so, they could not escape the devastating aftermath.

Looking down from above, waves of destructive halos swept through, smashing the fleeing Mo Bing and Mo Jiang into pieces one after another. Their cries of agony echoed across the heavens and earth. Coming to Tai Gu Lu as Zhi Zun was a mistake; in the face of imperial attacks, they didn't even qualify as cannon fodder.

"Kill, leave not one."

The peak Tian Di from Wai Yu roared in fury, momentarily stunned but quickly steadying their formation. The enemy were a bunch of madmen, but they were no push-overs either. In terms of lineup, they absolutely crushed the opposition. No matter which one it was, as long as they were from Zhu Tian, they would fight.

Indeed, they were no push-overs.

It was clear that Zhu Tian was completely at a disadvantage. Apart from Di Huang and Hong Yan, the other emperors were mostly being suppressed. At this rate, they were likely to be wiped out entirely.

"In meeting on Tai Gu Lu, you truly surprise me."

In the east, a peak-level Tian Di from the E Mo lineage chuckled sinisterly, speaking to Hong Yan. His laughter was filled with resentment and ferocity, as he recognized her. Precisely because he recognized her, he was enraged. He never expected the Sheng Mo inheritance to align with mere ants.

Hong Yan said nothing, only attacking without dodging.

Perhaps, on a certain night many years ago, she had ceased to be a demon. In the previous epoch, she believed in Shang Cang; in this one, she believed in the common people—or more accurately, in Ye Chen.

"Seeking death."

The Tian Di from the E Mo sneered coldly, wielding his war spear in a frenzied assault. He refused to believe that a peak-level Tian Di like himself couldn't take down an emperor-level Sheng Ti.

Not believing was fine; Hong Yan would beat him until he did.

The Huang Gu Sheng Ti lineage was extraordinarily exceptional. Whether it was Ye Chen, Di Huang, or Hong Yan, they had all forged myths. Though the two were not on par with Ye Chen, they still had the capability to slay Tian Di.

And that was exactly the reality.

Although Ye Chen's Sheng Ti was absent, Di Huang and Hong Yan upheld the glory of the Sheng Ti lineage, fighting the Tian Di until they could barely stand.

However, the other emperors were not faring as well.

For instance, Zhan Shen and Hou Yi were facing peak Tian Di as well, but their battles were the complete opposite—they were being suppressed. Xing Tian was holding up okay, but Hou Yi had been blown apart several times since engaging the Tian Di on the battlefield.

Looking toward the north, the situation wasn't much better.

Jian Shen, Jian Zun, and their group were all in dire straits. The main issue was that they had become emperors too recently, without the long accumulation of Dao essence, so they could only barely maintain their facade. In Zhu Tian, they were all revered supreme beings who shook the universe, but on this Tai Gu Lu, they fell short. It wasn't that they weren't strong enough; it was that Wai Yu's forces were overwhelmingly vast.

"At this rate, we're heading for total annihilation!"

Ren Wang took a deep breath.

"Hopefully, Old Seven can return."

Xiao Yuan Huang peered out from the rim of the cauldron, glancing at the void, but his expression darkened with guilt afterward. The battle Ye Chen was facing must be even more grueling, and he wished someone could go help him.

"I said, can you let us out?"

Kui Niu cursed loudly, directing his words at the Hun Dun Ding.

He wasn't the only one cursing; many of the older generations were doing the same. They had their weapons ready, but the Hun Dun Ding had sealed the gateway, leaving them to watch helplessly.

"Get out? Dream on, stay put."

The Hun Dun Ding shot back, then rammed its massive body toward the Wai Yu Tian Di, dominating with sheer force. Without any fancy secret techniques, it sent the Tian Di tumbling end over end.

"Damned thing."

The Wai Yu Tian Di bellowed in rage, his hair disheveled and face twisted in grotesque fury. After proving his Dao for so long, this was the first time he'd encountered such a nauseating artifact. He didn't know who created it, but he knew this cauldron was exceptionally tough, seemingly immune to all laws and impossible to destroy. Not only could it not be broken, but it kept knocking him flying. Being hit by it was agony; if he could choose his opponent, he'd rather face those two emperor-level Sheng Ti.

"Run? Where do you think you're running?"

The Hun Dun Ding bellowed and cursed as it charged, ramming relentlessly. It was no joke—this was the life-bound artifact of a Sheng Ti supreme; as long as its master lived, it could keep hammering the Wai Yu Tian Di until they doubted their very existence.

"Brilliantly done."

The divine generals inside the cauldron were thrilled. See? Even without Ye Chen, his great cauldron could still hold the line.

Thrilled as they were, the generals still wanted to get out.

Though Jun Di-level divine generals weren't much against Tian Di, they could still fight Da Di and hold off one or two, no problem.

Unfortunately, the Hun Dun Ding wouldn't let them out.

If Wai Yu only had Da Di, it wouldn't need them and would let them join the fight. The issue was there were Tian Di, and half of them were at the peak level. If it let them out to battle, they'd just get wiped out. It wasn't being heartless; the situation didn't allow it. With the master absent, it had to protect Zhu Tian's divine generals and not let them become cannon fodder.

"Idiots, all the Wai Yu ones are idiots."

In the southern sky, the cursing overshadowed the rumbling booms.

It was Hun Dun Huo and Hun Dun Lei.

Those two were quite the characters, having taken human form, but they spent most of their time cursing. Unable to match the Hun Dun Ding, they could only delay with this method.

"Run? Where do you think you're running?"

The two Wai Yu Da Di were so furious their eyes nearly popped, feeling sick to their stomachs. Though at the peak level, they couldn't catch their opponents, with all their rage having nowhere to go.

It was all because those two moved so nimbly.

They had truly inherited their master's style: run if you can't win, and keep your mouth running too. They'd curse while fleeing, and strike back with a surprise attack at the slightest opening. Because of this tactic, the two Wai Yu emperors were left in utter disarray, with an urge to curse right back.

The real ones cursing out loud were the Mo Bing and Mo Jiang.

Hun Dun Huo and Hun Dun Lei were a pair of living treasures, Ye Chen's two little darlings, always heading straight for the fun. They'd specifically target areas where Mo Bing clustered, grinding the weaker ones to ash. If they didn't grind them down, that was fine—there were still two peak emperors behind to follow up, their terrifying imperial pressure wiping out the demon army in waves.

Boom! Rumble!

The supreme group battle shook the heavens and earth, causing the dim Tai Gu Lu to flash with lightning and thunder, with the very fabric of space in chaos. Many Zhi Zun, in the midst of fighting, were suddenly swept away without a trace, only to continue their battles on new fields.

"Looks like Tai Gu Lu is lively too."

For a moment, Ming Di glanced up at the vast sky.

And why say "too"?

Because Zhu Tian was lively as well. Ever since the Nu Di's burial, things hadn't quieted down. Magic pillars descended every few days, and Wai Yu invasions happened every other day, each war engulfing the three realms with unceasing flames.

Today, Wai Yu's forces were particularly massive.

He was fighting, Dao Zu was fighting, Yao Chi was fighting. The eternal restrictions left by Ye Chen had blocked many magic pillars and stalled numerous Zhi Zun, but some exceptional ones still emerged from those pillars.

Where there were Zhi Zun, there were Mo Bing and Mo Jiang.

Gazing down, the human realm of Zhu Tian, along with the Tian Ming realms, were like vast oceans of people. Wai Yu was launching attacks, while the common people resisted, slaughtering until mountains of corpses piled up and rivers ran with blood.

"Emperors! Save the common people!"

The cries of the masses were filled with grief. Every struggling soul on the brink of death let out roars from the depths of their spirits, calling upon Zhu Tian's successive Zhi Zun.

"We hear you."

The emperors in the Tai Gu Hong Huang spoke with hoarse, exhausted voices. They heard the calls of the common people every time, but alas, they were powerless to help. Struggling to survive themselves, how could they aid the masses of the myriad domains?

Boom! Bang! Boom!

The rumbles in the void never ceased. The battle between the Sheng Ti and Sheng Mo had dragged on for countless rounds, with fresh blood staining patches of the emptiness.

Ye Chen swayed unsteadily, swinging the Yong Heng Jian with all his might. His injuries were beyond description—wounds covered every inch of his body, his flesh and bones utterly decayed and on the verge of collapse.

Opposite him, the Sheng Mo staggered as well.

Ye Chen was gravely wounded, and so was he, equally miserable. With the bloodline weakened, his immortal regeneration was basically useless. The gashes all over his body were laced with Yong Heng light, eroding his demonic form and hindering his bloodline's recovery.

"Why won't you die?"

The Sheng Mo howled in rage, his pitch-black eyes blood-red. First, his state of mind had been disrupted; now, signs of demonic obsession were emerging. Ye Chen's unyielding persistence drove him mad. He had knocked the Sheng Ti down time and again, only to be counterattacked each time, leaving him with a furious sense of helplessness.

At this moment, he had no face left to save.

A peak expert against a weakened opponent, a complete state against mid-level—it was the first and only time he'd ended up in such a pathetic state. His dignity was long gone.

What terrified him even more was that Ye Chen hadn't uttered a single word from start to finish. The Huang Gu Sheng Ti's silence made him feel as if he were gazing into despair.

Despair wasn't frightening.

What was frightening was lacking the resolve to seek hope.

And Ye Chen had that resolve.

From beginning to end, he never gave up. Defying the heavens through life and death, enduring to this point, relied on his unbreakable will. He was tired, he was exhausted, but some mission wouldn't allow him to fall. Losing this battle would mean losing the myriad domains and their people. How could he face Nu Di? How could he face the fallen heroes?

If Nu Di were here, she would likely weep in heartbreak.

It was she who had passed the burden of history to this young Sheng Ti. Her burial brought peace, but for him, living on might be a painful torment.

Pfft! Pfft!

Accompanied by two sprays of blood, the Huang Gu Sheng Ti fell, and so did the Tian Di Sheng Mo. One had exhausted all his divine power, the other had depleted his core.

"You cannot destroy me."

A sinister laugh soon rang out as the Sheng Mo shakily rose, blood dripping from his mouth, his face twisted and ghastly like a ghost demon, his eyes filled with savagery and bloodlust.

But as he laughed, he stopped.

Opposite him, Ye Chen had also risen, teetering on the brink, as if a breeze could topple him. In his dim eyes, only a faint light still flickered.

"Impossible."

The Sheng Mo's eyes bulged as he staggered back a step. He had knocked Ye Chen down again, yet that spent Sheng Ti rose once more.

Pfft!

Perhaps from sheer frustration, the Sheng Mo spat out a mouthful of blood, his demonic heart shattering. He couldn't steady himself and stumbled back two or three steps, nearly collapsing.

If he couldn't stand, then he wouldn't.

Because Ye Chen had already charged in, headfirst into his embrace. He hadn't fallen before, but he did now.

Pfft!

Once again, Ye Chen mounted the supreme being, gripping the Yong Heng Jian with both hands and driving it straight down into the Sheng Mo's skull, piercing from the brow to the back of the head.

The sword was both a slaughter and a seal.

The Sheng Mo's pupils contracted sharply as he tried to rise, but he lacked the strength, left only with roars and wails. He knew he was defeated, knew his fate would be utterly tragic.

And his prediction was spot on.

Ye Chen had already raised his hand, pressing it to the Sheng Mo's chest and invoking the Tun Tian Mo Gong. A devouring vortex instantly appeared.
