Chapter 3022: Get Out!

"The time has come for us to truly test ourselves."

Ye Chen took out his wine gourd. With so many vortices blocking the way, this was no laughing matter. The direction had to be absolutely precise; if they collided with a vortex, there would be no return.

"Let's go around."

Nü Di parted her lips slightly, then sat down cross-legged to focus on recovering her divine power. She was confident she could accurately control the Taigu Road's direction, but with so many vortices and their twisting gaps, if any vortex shifted unexpectedly as they passed, it would be a disaster. Compared to that, opening a new Taigu Road to go around might take longer, but it was safer.

"Good idea."

Ye Chen casually tossed aside his wine gourd and also sat down cross-legged. His divine power was even more depleted than Nü Di's. Next, he would be the main force, especially since he had the Yongheng Xianhe.

Before long, the various emperors and divine generals arrived.

Seeing the vortices in the Xuwang, their expressions became extremely grim. It wasn't the outer domains blocking the way, but these destructive vortices had appeared instead. Why did they have to block the entrance? If they stayed still, it was fine, but if they moved, it would be a catastrophe.

The emperors were the first to close their eyes and sit cross-legged to recover.

The divine generals also retreated a good distance, no longer daring to look at the Xuwang vortices. They were too terrifying; even a glance made their minds on the verge of collapsing. So, they reminded themselves not to look at what they shouldn't.

Before long, Nü Di was the first to stand up, with Ye Tian Di rising alongside her. As she stretched lazily, it made all the emperors raise their eyebrows. These two were truly exceptional—with Yongheng supporting them, they were lively and energetic in no time. The others couldn't compare.

Behind them, Di Huang and Hong Yan also stood up.

Apart from Ye Chen and Nü Di, their recovery abilities were the most dominant, thanks to the surging vital energy of the Huanggu Shengti.

At that moment, Nü Di formed a seal with one hand.

However, before she could finish carving the array beneath her feet, she suddenly stopped, lowered her hand, and stepped forward two or three paces. Her eyes, like clear water, narrowed into slits as she stared intently at the Xuwang—more precisely, at the vortices within it.

It seemed like there was a person flailing about inside the vortex.

"I say, that looks like a person!"

Ye Chen spoke up, standing even further forward than Nü Di. One more step, and he would enter the Xuwang. If Nü Di could see it, so could he. Behind them, Di Huang and Hong Yan looked on in astonishment, as everything had been prepared for activating the array, yet the two had withdrawn their Yongheng.

When they stepped forward to look, they saw nothing. Ye Tian Di had a vision they lacked.

Ye Chen and Nü Di remained silent, their eyes narrowing deeper.

It was indeed a person, and an extraordinary one at that—not only surviving in the Xuwang but also flailing in the vortex.

They knew well that these weren't ordinary vortices. Back in the day, even the complete Tianting Nü Di had suffered greatly and nearly perished in them. Yet this person was completely fine.

"Interesting."

Ye Chen sighed in admiration, growing more curious the longer he watched. As he spoke, he even lifted his foot to step onto the Taigu Road, wanting a closer look at what that thing was—it was just too bizarre!

"Come back."

Nü Di reached out and pulled Ye Chen back. This part of the Xuwang was different from before; the closer they got to the Taigu Honghuang, the nearer they were to the previous epoch. Due to the great destruction of heaven and earth, the void wasn't peaceful. They could see the vortices, but hidden dangers were invisible to the naked eye. Stepping in recklessly would bring disaster, and the vortices' devouring force was too strong.

Ye Chen coughed dryly, realizing he had overlooked that point.

Nü Di's eyes bloomed with Yongheng light as she pushed her vision to the limit, staring intently once more. It was all because that person was too strange.

"Quite the talent."

Ye Tian Di was straightforward, his voice booming with authority. He didn't know who the person was or their name, but after thinking it over, calling them a talent seemed fitting. Being able to flail in a vortex meant they had to be a prodigy of the highest order.

"Get lost."

There was a response from the Xuwang, coming from that talent. Ye Chen's booming voice was matched by the other's equally arrogant retort.

In fact, Ye Chen's prepared follow-up shout got stuck in his throat. He opened his mouth, his corners twitching wildly. Was the majestic Ye Tian Di Shengti just cursed out?

Nü Di couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, viewing that talent in a new light. From the voice, it seemed to be a man, and he had quite the temper, cursing outright.

Ye Chen took a deep breath, his face still a bit darkened. It was fortunate that person was in the Xuwang vortex; if they were on the Taigu Road, he would teach them a lesson about life. He was always the one cursing others—who dared to curse him?

He calmed down, and so did the other.

More accurately, the other had no time for them, still flailing in the vortex. The vortex was spinning, intertwined with destructive lightning. Though he could survive inside, he couldn't stay steady and was being tossed around endlessly.

"Watching that makes me dizzy."

Ye Chen tucked his hands in his sleeves and sighed, feeling more cheerful the longer he watched. Let them curse him again—hope the vortex churns them to pieces.

"What are you two looking at?"

Hong Yan turned her head, glancing at Ye Chen and then Nü Di. Di Huang did the same. They had arrived but couldn't see anyone in the vortex, let alone someone lively.

"There's someone in the vortex."

Ye Chen replied casually, not hiding it.

As soon as he said that, Hong Yan's expression changed dramatically.

She knew all too well what the Xuwang was like and what kind of horrors lurked in its demons. Even a true Nü Di wouldn't dare enter recklessly and could perish there. Now, hearing there was someone inside, how could she not be shocked? That was more than a talent—it was godlike.

Unfortunately, her vision was limited, and she still couldn't see.

The emperors all came forward, like Hong Yan, seeing nothing. The various heavenly divine generals behind them were the same.

Looking at Nü Di, she manifested her Yongheng Daoshen and stepped into the Xuwang, intending to take her place and investigate that talent.

Seeing this, Ye Chen summoned his Fashen, positioning it on the left while the Yongheng Daoshen was on the right, both stepping into the Xuwang and heading straight for the vortex.

They moved with extreme caution, not advancing rashly, and steered clear of the vortices from a distance. Even so, from far away, they couldn't escape the devouring force. If not for their connection through Yongheng, they would likely have been swallowed and turned to dust.

"That's a person." The Fashen sent back a message.

"Nonsense." Ye Chen replied. Even from here, they could tell it was a person—what was there to state the obvious? The point was to see who it was!

At a safe enough distance, both the Sheng Zhan Fashen and the Yongheng Daoshen stopped. Other vortices blocked the way ahead and were too close; going further would mean being swallowed.

"Go take a look."

Ye Chen ordered his Fashen—it would be worth it even for a glance.

Nü Di had the same idea.

With the order given, both the Fashen and Daoshen shot forward like two beams of Yongheng light. As expected, approaching the vortex triggered an extremely strong devouring force from each one, powerful enough that even they couldn't resist.

In an instant, both the Fashen and Daoshen were swallowed.

In another instant, they were both ground to ash. In their final moments, they glanced toward that vortex.

"How is that possible?"

Both the Daoshen and Fashen spoke in unison, their expressions full of disbelief.

Thud! Thud!

At the end of the Taigu Road, both Ye Chen and Nü Di spat out blood. The collapse of the Daoshen and Fashen shouldn't have caused backlash, but it did, because it involved the demons of the Xuwang. That destructive force traced back from the Xuwang itself.

Both used Yongheng to sever the destructive backlash.

Even so, blood still overflowed from their corners, likely from the lingering waves—they hadn't fully cut it off with that one strike.

"Did you see who it was?"

Hong Yan asked hurriedly, and the emperors all turned their gazes.

"Zhao Yun," Ye Chen said.

"Ye Chen," Nü Di murmured.
