Chapter 3009: No Problem

In the illusory dream, a hazy mist lingered.

Ye Chen saw Yao Chi, quietly suspended in the ethereal void, bathed in radiant elegance, like a dream.

He walked slowly toward her, gazing intently.

Ji Ning Shuang's spirit was in deep slumber, surrounded by mysterious immortal principles and echoing heavenly sounds. Even in the dream, ancient visions unfolded, painting vivid scenes.

Transformation!

Ye Chen murmured softly, confirming his suspicion that this calamity held opportunities for enlightenment.

He stayed by Yao Chi's side, standing silently.

How many years had it been? This was the first time he had quietly watched his wife like this. Though only a few thousand years had passed, she carried the traces of ten thousand years of trials, with the marks of time even in her dreams.

After gazing for a long time, he turned and left.

Returning to reality, he left Yu Nu Feng alone and continued to observe the Ming Ming Great Array.

"She, how is she?"

Dao Zu couldn't help but ask, eager to know if the Eastern Wilderness Female Emperor was safe.

"Problem not big."

Ye Chen replied casually, reaching out to adjust the universe, ensuring the great array operated smoothly. Yao Chi would advance; it was only a matter of time, and the sooner, the better. On the Taigu Road side, the Female Emperor might not hold out much longer.

Dao Zu said nothing, taking a deep breath.

A Heavenly Emperor-level Holy Body was a major force in the heavens; he couldn't be tied down.

As he walked, Ye Chen vanished.

Soon after, a domineering scream echoed from Di Fu, spreading through the three realms of heaven, earth, and the underworld.

It was Ming Di, struck down by Ye Tian Di.

The Holy Body was overbearing, erasing a portion of Ming Di's memories to prevent him from blabbering.

As for Dao Zu, he was self-aware and erased his own.

That night, Ye Chen was extremely busy, darting between the three realms, engraving one eternal seal after another. Connected by eternal divine power, they formed an Eternal Immortal River, flowing from Ren Jie to Ming Jie, then from Ming Jie to Tian Jie, and finally back to Ren Jie, creating a cycle.

"What is that?"

Many mortals looked up in awe, clearly seeing a brilliant immortal river spanning the three realms.

"The legendary eternity?"

Many elders murmured, though their cultivation was not high and their combat power weak, they had keen insight. From that radiant immortal river, they sensed an immortal force guarding the world's light.

The word "guarding" was perfectly apt.

The Eternal Immortal River that Ye Chen had created was a protective barrier, much like the starry sea that once surrounded Xuan Huang in the past. The difference was that the starry sea protected Xuan Huang, while the immortal river protected the three realms of heaven, earth, and the underworld.

"The divine abilities of the Heavenly Emperor truly seize heaven's creation."

Dao Zu sighed inwardly. Such grand feats were far beyond what he could achieve at his peak emperor level.

"Eternity."

Ming Di, awakening from his coma, stared in a daze, truly witnessing what immortality meant.

Ye Chen didn't stop, continuing to cast spells frequently.

He integrated the Eternal Immortal River into the Ming Ming Great Array, serving as a shield for the three realms and a veil to conceal the myriad domains. With this immortal river in place, it would be much harder for outer realms to locate the heavens. Once the great array was fully repaired, the three realms would be far safer.

But that was not the end.

He created an Eternal Light Pillar, erecting it in the heavens' starry sky, even larger than the Qian Tian Demon Pillar.

This light pillar bore eternal restrictions.

These restrictions activated automatically; if a demon pillar descended, an eternal halo would spread across the eight directions, destroying the Qian Tian Demon Pillar in an instant and easing some pressure on Ji Ning Shuang.

Next came Tian Jie and Ming Jie.

Ye Tian Di showed great resolve, casting an Eternal Light Pillar in both realms, just like in Ren Jie.

However, these were ultimately external aids.

To stabilize the heavens, they still needed to repair the Ming Ming Great Array. Not only would it hide the three realms' aura, but it would also enhance suppression of the outer realms. The great array laid by the Female Emperor was far beyond what he could match.

"Is this pillar effective?"

Ming Di paced around the Eternal Light Pillar with his hands behind his back, circling it several times, occasionally tapping it. Forged with immortal power, it stretched from Jiu You Huang Quan to the misty peaks.

Whether it was effective, one test would tell.

As he watched, demon pillars from the outer realms descended on Ming Jie, suddenly appearing in over a dozen, all surging with demonic energy. No one emerged, yet violent aura and supreme pressure spread from within.

Buzz!

The Eternal Light Pillar trembled with a buzz, and a brilliant halo spread in all directions. Ming Jie remained unaffected, but the dozen or so Qian Tian Demon Pillars were destroyed one after another, reduced to ash.

Effective!

Ming Di stroked his chin, quite fond of the Eternal Light Pillar. If the outer realms attacked in the future and he was occupied elsewhere, this radiant pillar could destroy the demon pillars for him, sharing the burden.

Ye Da Di's creation was indeed impressive.

However, the light pillar wasn't eternally indestructible. After emitting the halo, its divine principles dimmed slightly, meaning its power weakened with each use until it reached a limit and dissipated entirely, like consuming a pill—one less with each use.

"If possible, make more Eternal Light Pillars."

Ming Di stroked his beard, giving Ye Chen a profound look, his face thick-skinned as ever.

"Good to say." Ye Chen left those words and returned to Ren Jie.

He truly had great resolve, casting an Eternal Light Pillar in every starry sky he visited.

Looking out, pillar after pillar had become a striking sight.

Ming Di's mouth twitched as he watched; Ye Chen was obedient, creating many pillars, but most were in Ren Jie. Compared to him and Dao Zu, Ye Chen seemed more worried about Yao Chi, afraid she might not hold out in the future.

Up!

Ye Chen shouted firmly, and another Eternal Light Pillar rose, vast and eye-catching.

He ignored Ming Di's gaze completely.

Joking aside, that was his dear wife—who else would he worry about? As for you and Dao Zu, you're tough and resilient; you won't die. This emperor is quite happy to watch you two.

Dao Zu coughed dryly and walked away with his hands behind his back.

This peak emperor was still ambitious; he didn't sleep all night, engraving restrictions across Tian Jie. As the saying goes, self-reliance brings abundance. Though he couldn't create Eternal Light Pillars, he could make Emperor Dao Light Pillars. They might not destroy Tian Di-level demon pillars, but they could handle Great Emperor-level ones easily.

These years, he had been doing just that.

The downside was that casting Emperor Dao Light Pillars consumed immense divine power, and like the Eternal Light Pillars, they weren't permanent, with a set lifespan eroded by time until they vanished.

Ming Di also withdrew his gaze, focusing on his own tasks.

Actually, when the Heavenly Court Female Emperor left, she had left many restrictions, but the Ming Ming Great Array was incomplete.

In the heavens' starry sky, Ye Chen was exhausted to the point of collapse.

As Dao Zu had said, creating such pillars drained tremendous energy; even he was spent.

Gazing at the many pillars, he smiled wearily.

In a way, each additional Eternal Light Pillar meant more safety for Yao Chi and Ren Jie.

Even a Heavenly Emperor had his biases.

As dawn approached, he returned to Da Chu. In his weakened state, he forcibly cast another Eternal Light Pillar. In the days to come, he would be away from the heavens for a long time, and the pillars would guard in his stead.

"What is this again?"

In the night in Da Chu, many cultivators were awakened, circling the pillar from all sides to examine it.

"Good thing."

Ye Chen smiled, dragging his tired body toward Heng Yue, with no time to catch up with old friends.

At Yu Nu Feng, Ye Ling had awakened and was guarding Yao Chi.

Ye Chen descended from the sky, instantly discerning Yao Chi's state—her consciousness was gradually recovering.

One night in the outside world might be a thousand years in the dream.

Ye Chen sat wearily under the old tree, and the sensible little Ye Ling massaged his shoulders.

Soon, his shoulders grew wet.

It was Ye Ling's tears soaking his clothes. She must have endured many bloody battles, witnessing mountains of corpses and seas of blood, and seen familiar people fall in the pools of blood.

"This immortal path is that cruel."

Ye Chen spoke gently, having experienced despair himself and knowing the fear of helplessness all too well.

He had long grown tired of the scent of blood.

Yet, his youthful wish for a peaceful world remained his core resolve, requiring him to defy heaven all the way.

"Ling Er is not afraid."

The little girl burned away the tears in her eyes, gradually adapting to the road paved with blood and bones.

Suddenly, a gentle breeze blew.

Someone arrived at Yu Nu Feng, clad in bloodstained armor—it was Li Xiao Yao.

Ye Chen frowned slightly upon seeing him.

With Heavenly Emperor-level insight, he could see through the truth; he never imagined that person was still alive.

When he looked away, he glanced toward Ming Jie.

Years ago, when he and Yao Chi entered Di Fu, they had sensed a mysterious aura from its depths. Now, it seemed related to Li Xiao Yao. Back then, he hadn't noticed because Ming Di had placed Li Xiao Yao near the Female Emperor's temporal body, using her aura to conceal it.

"You're quite something."

Ye Chen's smile wasn't pleasant, his face darkening as if he had guessed Ming Di's intentions.

"May all lovers in the world find happiness."

Ming Di spoke earnestly, but coming from him, it didn't sound right at all.

"I have seen the senior."

Li Xiao Yao stepped forward, bowing with clasped hands, a well-mannered young man.

"I won't interfere; it's up to your own abilities."

Ye Chen smiled, his words audible only to Li Xiao Yao, finding him much more agreeable than before.

Ye Ling said nothing, remaining silent throughout.

She had a deep impression of this armored youth—a genuine Young Emperor level. Whenever outer realms invaded or battles raged, he fought alongside her.

There was a familiar feeling about it.

Ye Chen brushed off the dust and slowly stood, heading to the various boudoirs to check on his wives.

Under the old tree, he left the two unfortunate juniors.

Later, more people arrived, like Zhang Zi Fan and Zi Fu Xian Ti, all new prodigies coming to pay respects to Ye Tian Di. But upon seeing Li Xiao Yao, their expressions weren't friendly.

Night fell quietly once more.

Ye Chen invoked dao sounds, preaching and guiding them. He had high hopes for this group of juniors; they could hold their own.

"Actually, we're here to propose marriage."

The Lie Huo Zhan Ti was quite restless, joking even during enlightenment, showing no fear of Ye Chen's authority.

Ye Chen didn't respond, focused on carving wood.

How to put it? Anyone wanting his little cabbage had to be tough enough to take a beating, to avoid casualties.

And just like that, Lie Huo Zhan Ti was sent flying.

It was Ye Ling who personally saw him off. Enlightenment was for enlightenment; chattering nonsense would get you a beating.
