Pfft! Pfft!
Under the watchful eyes of everyone, the First Tian Mo Di and the Third Tian Mo Di, just like the Second Tian Mo Di, were sent flying through the air by that crystalline jade hand. Before they even touched the ground, their imperial bodies exploded into nothingness.
The blood-red world suddenly fell into a deathly silence.
The demon soldiers and generals looked up, their previously ferocious expressions now replaced by sheer horror. They could hardly believe what they were seeing—the three Tian Mo Di, reduced to insignificant ants, all knocked away like nothing.
In stark contrast, the eyes of the heavenly generals, which had been dim, now shone with divine light.
Such overwhelming power could only belong to the Tian Ting Nu Di. Their desperate struggle had finally brought a glimmer of hope.
Boom! Bang! Boom!
The brief stillness was shattered by thunderous booms. The Nu Di appeared, stepping through the sky one step at a time. Her graceful movements were as heavy as mountains, each step causing the universe to tremble and shake.
"We held on."
Tears welled up in the eyes of many heavenly generals. It was a pity that those fallen heroes could no longer witness this moment.
Looking out beyond the city, the scene was utterly chaotic.
The vast sea of demon soldiers and generals was retreating en masse due to the Nu Di's arrival, like a receding tide. Many demons stumbled and fell, only to scramble up and continue their retreat, their eyes filled with terror. Three Tian Mo Di had been defeated—what was the point of fighting? She wasn't just any empress; she was like a god of this world.
"Damn it, truly damnable."
The Second Tian Mo Di charged back in, surging with overwhelming demonic energy. The First and Third Tian Mo Di followed soon after, having reformed their imperial bodies, their faces contorted in grotesque fury. If it had been the real Tian Ting Nu Di, they might have accepted defeat, but she was incomplete, merely at the great emperor level. Losing like this was utterly humiliating.
With the emperors' return, the demon army managed to stabilize their formation slightly.
The heavens rumbled. On one side, demonic energy rolled like waves; on the other, eternal light overflowed. The three Tian Mo Di stood in a neat line, their auras linked together. Compared to them, the Nu Di's blood-stained figure seemed somewhat frail.
She was far from being a complete empress and hadn't merged with Chu Xuan and Chu Ling.
Blood trickled from the corners of her mouth, and the eternal immortal light surrounding her body flickered unstably.
"Three against one, we will slaughter you."
The three Tian Mo Di moved in unison. One wielded a war spear, another gripped a demon blade, and the third brandished a killing sword. Their steps were perfectly synchronized as they launched their peak attacks simultaneously, clearly intending to annihilate the Nu Di in one go. They were brimming with confidence—her condition was obviously weakened, and this was a rare opportunity.
Bang!
The Nu Di moved as well, shattering the heavens with a single step. She instantly dodged a spear thrust, pierced the First Tian Mo Di's skull with a finger, shattered the Second Tian Mo Di's physical form with a palm strike, and, in a cruel twist, stomped out the Third Tian Mo Di's body with a foot after his sword strike failed to hit her.
In just one exchange, the three Tian Mo Di were utterly defeated.
The demon army, which had barely held its ground, began retreating en masse again at the sight of that bloody scene.
"Done beautifully."
On the city walls, the Little Yuan Huang let out a wolf-like howl, though he coughed up old blood from the effort.
The other heavenly generals' eyes shone brightly. The Nu Di had truly upheld their honor.
It made sense—she wasn't just any empress; she was the commander of the ancient Tian Ting. A complete Nu Di could even cripple a generation's holy demon. Even incomplete, her majesty was beyond the reach of mere great emperors.
"Impossible, this is impossible."
The three Tian Mo Di's minds were on the verge of collapse. They had charged in with menacing momentum, thinking their three-against-one formation would dominate, only to be defeated so decisively in a single move.
The Nu Di said nothing. With one step, she vanished from sight.
Her disappearance made the three Tian Mo Di's hearts skip a beat, as none of them could track her presence.
But it didn't matter anymore—they were out of the equation.
Accompanied by a spray of blood, the First Tian Mo Di exploded, reduced to ashes by the Nu Di's palm.
Pfft!
Next came the Second Tian Mo Di, who had already lost his physical form; the Nu Di's finger eradicated his primordial spirit.
Ah!
The Third Tian Mo Di shrieked in agony, not charging into battle but fleeing for his life.
As he ran, a beam of eternal immortal light shot toward him.
The Third Tian Mo Di bled profusely, his primordial spirit pierced. In his howls of pain, he disintegrated inch by inch.
Ah!
The demon soldiers and generals wailed miserably as well. If even the emperors couldn't stand against her, what chance did they have? The Nu Di's crystalline jade hand pressed down, enveloping the entire sky and wiping out demons and generals in an instant.
"The Nu Di is the one holding everything together."
The Ren Wang, still barely standing, collapsed onto the ground. This catastrophe had finally come to an end.
The many heavenly generals who were on their feet also swayed and slumped down.
Tears streamed from their eyes, mixed with fresh blood. The battle to protect the emperors had been so brutal. Without the Nu Di's heaven-defying fusion, they would all have become souls beneath the city walls.
Boom! Boom!
Suddenly, more rumbling sounds echoed from the western heavens, carrying the stench of blood and demonic energy.
"More?"
Many people used their weapons as crutches to struggle to their feet, gazing into the distant haze.
As they suspected, more foreign domain supremes were arriving.
Though the Tai Gu Lu lacked the towering demon pillars, there were still rift passages. What they had faced was only the first wave.
Now, the second wave was charging toward the Tai Gu Lu.
The Nu Di moved, stepping through realms one by one until she disappeared entirely, not even leaving a shadow.
Boom! Bang! Boom!
What followed was the thunder of battle. The incoming foreign domain supremes were numerous, their roars echoing endlessly. The fluctuations were so massive that even the ruined city walls began to crumble.
No one could see the fight, but they knew the Nu Di was on a rampage.
As expected, the Nu Di was peerlessly magnificent, a queen who commanded the universe. The enemy lacked a Tian Di, so no matter how many came, they wouldn't be enough. As for the demon soldiers and generals, they were mere ants, swept away with a single palm.
It wasn't until sometime later that the rumbling finally faded.
Amid the scarlet blood mist, the Nu Di returned. Her white hair fluttered, her figure desolate as she staggered along. It was unclear if she was wounded by the foreign domain supremes or if the fusion had taken its toll—blood flowed from her immortal body, leaving bloody footprints with each step. Her face was deathly pale, and the eternal light around her had vanished.
As she walked, she teetered and plummeted from the sky.
Seeing this, Yue Huang and Di Xuan rushed forward together, catching the Nu Di and gently lowering her.
Such scenes were playing out across the realms.
The battle in the human realm had ended first, leaving mountains of corpses and rivers of blood. The Dong Huang Nu Di had fought until she was exhausted, slaying three Tian Di before collapsing in the starry sky, where Ye Ling caught her.
"This lineup is overwhelmingly large."
The battle in the Ming Realm had also concluded. The Ming Di gripped his blood-dripping imperial sword, barely able to stand. His imperial body was riddled with bloody gashes, each wound entwined with dark, ominous light—the remnant killing intent of Tian Di levels, still eroding his essence.
"It must be that the Nu Di has encountered a problem."
Dao Zu gazed up at the vast sky, blood trickling from his mouth. He knew that before leaving, the Nu Di had left behind a veil of concealment, reinforced on the hidden great array. With her separation, that protection was naturally gone.
From this day forward, they would have to rely on themselves.
Overlooking the three realms—heaven, earth, and the underworld—it was a scene of utter devastation, like a purgatory washed in blood.
Boom! Bang! Boom!
The battle on the Tai Gu Lu had ended, and the bloodshed across the heavens had ceased, but in the void, Ye Chen and Di Sha were still fighting.
Focusing on them, they were two blood-soaked figures.
Ye Chen clutched his shattered Yongheng Sword, staggering forward. His sacred body was exposed in multiple places, with blood and bone visible; the bloody hole in his chest was particularly gruesome, and the gash across his back was terrifying enough to reveal his spine.
Glancing at Di Sha opposite him, he wasn't in much better shape.
He had underestimated Ye Chen. As a Tian Di facing a great emperor, Di Sha was actually more severely wounded—stumbling unsteadily, with half his skull blown apart and his demonic body in ruins. His dark blood flowed everywhere, and the wounds, laced with eternal immortal light, prevented even his bloodline's immortality from healing them.
"The foundation of a Tian Di is indeed formidable."
Ye Chen muttered to himself, coughing blood as he bent over to catch his breath. Di Sha had underestimated him, and he had done the same. Defeating Di Sha was easy, but exterminating a Tian Di was hard. Time and again, he knocked him down, only for him to rise and fight back.
"Kill."
Di Sha roared from his soul, gripping his blood-drenched demonic blade and charging again. His face was twisted in savagery, his hollow eyes blood-red and overflowing with violence. He refused to believe he couldn't kill a great emperor. Whether he survived or not seemed irrelevant now—he had to eliminate Ye Chen.
"Come on."
Ye Chen shouted resolutely, just as unyielding. He didn't believe he couldn't destroy this Tian Di holy demon.
Clang! Pound! Clang!
The metallic clashes rang out again, crisp and echoing. The demonic blade could chip the immortal sword, and the immortal sword could crack the demonic blade. This was a clash between the holy demon and the holy body, a contest between eternity and the bloodline.
The battle continued without spectators, but eventually, one side would fall.
The vast and void spaces would be the witnesses, and this realm of illusion would become the grave for one of them.
In the dim Tai Gu Lu, the Nu Di had fallen into a coma.
The heavenly generals finally caught their breath, dragging their bloodied bodies through the mountains of corpses and seas of blood to search for fallen souls. Few bodies remained intact; most had self-destructed.
That day, many tombstones were erected along the Tai Gu Lu.
The surviving heavenly generals stood in neat rows, most in primordial spirit form, with others in shattered physical bodies. They held wine jugs, pouring libations before the tombstones to honor the heroic spirits.
Half a day later, the Nu Di awoke.
She silently glanced at the tombstones, said nothing, and walked over to Di Huang and Hong Yan.
The two imperial sacred bodies were still suffering from the holy demon blood seal's torment.
She extended her hands, placing one on each of their heavenly spirit covers. Eternal power flowed from her palms, forcefully erasing the lingering killing intent and destroying the holy demon blood seals along with it.
Only then did Di Huang and Hong Yan's crumbling sacred bodies stabilize.
Next came Xing Tian, Hou Yi, Jian Shen, and Jian Zun—these four emperors were even more gravely injured.
The Nu Di used her powers to eliminate the killing intent and break the blood seals.
Freed from the torment, the four emperors steadied themselves and began silently reconstructing their primordial spirits. Recovery was now just a matter of time. The hope the heavenly generals had fought for was profoundly heavy.
Finally, the Nu Di approached Chu Xuan and Chu Ling.
To continue along the Tai Gu Lu, she needed to merge with them to maximize the power of eternity.
Ah!
The heavenly generals sighed collectively, then sat down cross-legged to heal. The road ahead might be even more difficult, and as lowly soldiers, they could step up as generals when needed, just as they had this time.
Without their desperate resistance, they would likely have been wiped out completely.
