Chapter 2803: Unexpected Gain

"How beautiful."

Along with the cheers, more and more cultivators arrived at Da Chu, some just wandering around, but most headed straight for Yu Nü Peak. Word had spread about a performance, specifically that the Sheng Ti's wife would be dancing. This attracted numerous people eager to join the excitement.

Looking from afar, Heng Yue was packed with people. Every mountain peak was covered in figures, and even the trees had people perched on them. A magical artifact called a telescope proved especially useful today.

"Pay up, pay up."

Amidst the cheers, there were always a few jarring howls. This was Tang San Shao, who made noise wherever he went, perfectly cooperating with Ye Ling.

"If that little fatty were a bit more handsome, a bit fairer, and a bit more normal, he'd actually be a pretty good match for the Sheng Ti's little darling."

"For saying they're a match, you don't have to pay."

"Don't pay? Pay double!"

"Don't make trouble, I already collected it earlier."

"Look, there's an old ox hitting on his mother."

"Here, take your money."

It had to be said, Ye Ling's little notebook was quite effective. It wasn't that people feared the notebook itself, but rather Ye Ling's elder brother. That guy was utterly shameless, far more skilled than Ye Ling at swindling, cheating, and every other dirty trick.

Boom!

Suddenly, a thunderous rumble echoed across Da Chu.

The entire Zhutian Gate shook violently.

Just like before, the turmoil came out of nowhere. Even Yue Huang couldn't stand steadily, let alone anyone else. Those walking around stumbled, some face-planting, and those watching the dance toppled over in droves.

Looking at the heavens of Da Chu, there were flashes of lightning and peals of thunder, along with swirling dark clouds and fog, frequent spatial rifts, and raging seas of flames. Even the lush flowers, plants, and trees were slowly withering.

"These anomalies again."

Many people turned their heads, steadying themselves to scan their surroundings. While they might joke around, a sense of unease lingered. The starry skies of the heavens had grown increasingly strange in recent years.

Yue Huang stepped out of the Xuan Gate and ascended to the nine heavens.

Like a queen, she surveyed the world below, her eyes narrowed as she peered into the fabric of the universe. The Zhutian Gate's realm was in utter chaos, even making her feel a profound sense of unease.

"Sacrifice the imperial weapons to suppress the universe."

Ren Wang roared, activating the Xuanyuan Di Jian.

Boom!

No sooner had Ren Wang spoken than another massive rumble followed.

At that sound, everyone's eyes in Da Chu lit up with fierce determination, and their actions were strikingly uniform: they grabbed their weapons.

It wasn't surprising. They saw a hidden great world revealed due to collapsing space and chaotic forces, shaken out of its hiding place.

That's right, it was the Hong Huang clan. Their primordial aura surged, and from a distance, one could see the shattered great realm, the Hong Huang ancestral land, left in utter disarray by the cosmic upheaval.

"You Hong Huang, you're quite good at hiding."

Ren Wang sneered, channeling more power into the imperial weapon. He wasn't alone; everyone in Da Chu wore cold smiles. No wonder they couldn't find them—it turned out they were hiding right in Da Chu. The most dangerous place was indeed the safest, a principle the Hong Huang understood well, and they had the audacity to pull it off. If not for the cosmic chaos shaking out the great world, who would have believed it?

"Surround and annihilate them, leave none alive."

Tong Tian Jiao Zhu bellowed, charging in first.

No need for his command—the cultivators in Da Chu quickly rallied. Whether they were flirting, watching the dance, or drinking and cursing, they all rushed toward the southern city walls in an instant. The Hong Huang clan was there.

"Go, retreat quickly!"

The Hong Huang clan emperor howled in panic, his face deathly pale. All these years, he'd been smug about his decision to hide in the Zhutian Gate of Da Chu, thinking no one would suspect it. But who could have foreseen that a cosmic upheaval would disturb their great world, shaking it out into the open? This surprise was completely unforeseen. In Da Chu, they had no advantages—in fact, they were doomed to be wiped out.

"Go, retreat quickly!"

The Hong Huang strongholds roared, all fleeing into the sky. They were fully aware of their situation and what it meant for their great world to be exposed. Escape was their only option, and they ran for their lives, from the emperor down to the lowliest soldier.

"Where do you think you're going?"

Yue Huang arrived, wielding a supreme imperial weapon. In a single clash, she cleaved a Hong Huang quasi-emperor in two, then faced off against a Hong Huang peak powerhouse.

"A non-imperial lineage, still trying to escape?"

Tong Tian Jiao Zhu thundered across the heavens, even more domineering. With a palm strike from the skies, he sent a Hong Huang powerhouse staggering, their divine body crumbling as blood and bones flew. Before they could steady themselves, Jiang Chen pierced their primordial spirit with a spear.

"Kill!"

Xiao Yuan Huang led the charge, shouting the loudest, with Kui Niu at his side. Nan Di, Zhong Huang, and Xi Zun were also in the fray. Even Long Jie, who'd been swindled into poverty, proved a fierce fighter, brandishing the Ba Long Dao and sweeping through the enemy ranks, scattering the Hong Huang forces in disarray.

"You've come to Da Chu—don't even think about leaving."

The successive kings and imperial descendants of Da Chu swarmed from all directions, along with many reclusive elders bursting out one after another.

"Who dares bully Da Chu?"

The last wave of reincarnated figures, like Tian Zong Lao Zu, Dao Huang, Du Gu Ao, Zhu Ge Yu, Ye Xing Chen, and Hu Wa, joined the battle. This was their first encounter with the Hong Huang, and they'd long heard of the clan's atrocities—they were determined to wipe them out completely.

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

The void hummed as the imperial weapons guarding Da Chu shot into the sky like streaks of light, hovering in the air. Imperial divine principles cascaded down, their supreme auras intertwining to form a barrier that enveloped the Hong Huang clan.

"Blood debts must be paid in blood."

Nan Ming Yu Shu and the others donned their battle armor, each like a female general. The wives of the Sheng Ti showed no less valor than any man, each radiating an extraordinary presence.

"Mother, it's the Hong Huang clan."

As Ye Ling left, he glanced back and called out. Everyone else had gone to surround the Hong Huang, but Chu Xuan and Chu Ling seemed oblivious, still dancing gracefully on Yu Nü Peak as if unaware of the outside world.

"Something's off."

Fu Ya, guarding Tian Xuan Gate, watched the water screen showing Chu Xuan and Chu Ling, his brows furrowed tightly. The two showed no signs of consciousness; their dancing wasn't their own will—it was as if they were puppets being controlled.

Boom! Bang! Boom!

The southern city walls erupted in thunderous noise.

The people of the heavens surged like dark tidal waves, attacking from all sides and trapping the Hong Huang clan at the base of the walls. No matter how they charged, they couldn't break through the encirclement, swallowed up wave after wave by the sea of figures, utterly defenseless. It wasn't that their foundations were weak—it was just that the powerhouses in Da Chu were far too numerous. With two fists against four hands, and without a single imperial weapon, how could they withstand the heavens' onslaught?

"Spare us, spare us!"

Desperate wails and roars filled the air, the Hong Huang clan's pleas for mercy. They were truly terrified, these turtles who hid in their shells, all deathly afraid.

"No rest until they're dead."

Yao Chi Xian Mu snapped coldly, descending from the skies.

"No rest until they're dead."

The people of the heavens were ablaze with fighting spirit and murderous intent, their anger toward the Hong Huang even greater than toward the heavenly demons. The clan had caused too many catastrophes throughout history, trampling countless lives under their iron heels—there was no mercy to be had. Only blood and slaughter could quench the fury of the masses.

The battle was a foregone conclusion, with no surprises. From the moment the Hong Huang great clan was shaken out, they were doomed. In less than a quarter of an hour, they were completely annihilated by the heavens.

The sky was stained red with blood, mist drifting everywhere.

The earth was equally crimson, piled high with corpses and bones.

"Mine, I saw it first."

"Get lost."

"Dammit, who stepped on my foot?"

In the ruins of the Hong Huang ancestral land, figures swarmed like ants. With the Hong Huang clan exterminated, the battlefield needed cleaning, and the talents from the three realms piled in, scavenging treasures amid a chorus of curses.
