Chapter 2797: Kill Him

Boom! Rumble!

The Zhu Tian Xing Kong was in complete chaos, shrouded in dark mist with thunderclaps echoing everywhere. Spatial collapses and cracks were rampant, and raging flames burned fiercely, turning the entire starry sky into a total mess.

"What's going on here?"

"Damn it, I almost got swallowed by a crack."

"I've been struck by lightning for the third time now."

In the starry sky, curses rang out from all sides, mostly from Zhun Di level experts. Their figures were all in disarray—some lost in the dark mist, others hit by lightning, and some swallowed by cracks. It was a string of misfortunes for these poor souls.

"This is a first for me."

The nine great Shen Jiang sighed as they traveled, observing everything along the way.

In various parts of the starry sky, peak-level powerhouses were everywhere, each with different expressions—puzzled, confused, amazed, or worried. They still had no idea what had caused this upheaval. Ever since a few years ago, disasters had plagued the starry sky nonstop, growing more frequent over time. Even with their vast experience, they couldn't explain it.

"The Tian Ming and Liang Jie are still sealed off."

The Ten Dian Yan Luo and Laojun tried to communicate with the underworld and borrow powers to consult the great emperors, but the barriers blocked them completely. Not only did they fail, but they also suffered backlash.

"The forbidden zones are also shut tight."

The nine Huang shook their heads helplessly. They had gone to Xuan Huang multiple times, searching one by one, even blocking the entrances to the forbidden zones and yelling, but they didn't catch a single soul.

"What a rare spectacle through the ages!"

In the Eastern Xing Yu, Xiao Yuan Huang limped along, clutching his iron rod. He had come out to wander the starry sky and had been struck by lightning more than once.

His companion, Kui Niu, was in even worse shape. He had been pulled into a spatial crack, and as soon as he escaped, he was engulfed by a sea of flames that nearly roasted him alive.

"How did you two end up like this when you're just out for a stroll?"

Long Jie clicked his tongue in amazement. He was with the Wu Clan Shen Zi, Ling Clan Shen Nü, Gu Clan Shen Nü, Nan Di, Zhong Huang, and Xi Zun, and they were all perfectly fine. Only Xiao Yuan Huang and Kui Niu looked so battered, as if their luck or fate was cursed. They hadn't caught a break with good things, but bad luck never missed them.

Oh?

As they walked, they bumped into people from Da Chu—it was Xie Yun and Si Tu Nan, dragging a large, plump pig behind them. Well, it was Xiong Er, who had clearly been stunned by a lightning strike. Black smoke rose from his entire body as Xie Yun and Si Tu Nan each held one of his legs, hauling him along.

"Now I feel balanced."

Xiao Yuan Huang and Kui Niu said with a meaningful tone.

"What do you think that little fatty would call himself if he became an emperor?"

"Er Di?"

"Great minds think alike."

The group clustered together and started chatting about life, spouting nonsense while still scanning their surroundings. They were all here to investigate the starry sky, but no one could make sense of this chaos or pinpoint the problem.

"Catastrophe?"

"Disaster?"

"Change?"

In the northern starry sky, the figures of the various Di Zi appeared. They had inherited some memories from their predecessors but had never seen such a bizarre scene before—the entire starry sky was in utter disarray.

Deeper in the starry sky, two figures stood side by side—one was the Hun Dun Ti, and the other was Dong Shen Yao Chi. They moved along, observing as they went, occasionally stopping to watch the lightning from afar, lingering by the sea of flames, or pushing through layers of dark mist and probing the spatial cracks.

"What do you make of this?"

The speaker was the Hun Dun Ti, his brows slightly furrowed.

"The heavens and earth are in disarray."

Ji Ning Shuang spoke softly, repeating the same phrase.

The Hun Dun Ti didn't argue—he agreed completely. The current Zhu Tian was a mess of chaos and disorder, but the root cause remained unknown.

"Come on, let's get a shot of this."

From a distance, they spotted the Ri Yue Shen Zi and his good buddy Dong Zhou Wu Wang. The two of them were in the mood for it, each holding a memory crystal stone. As they filmed the starry sky, they also captured the Hun Dun Ti and Yao Chi in the frame. Their main target was the pair, probably to send it back to Ye Chen later, which might end up getting the Hun Dun Ti a beating.

Boom! Rumble!

Thunder roared across the Zhu Tian Xing Kong.

More people entered the starry sky to check things out, and more suffered as a result—struck by lightning, lost in the mist, burned by flames, or even swallowed by sudden spatial cracks and spat out on the other side of the star river.

Because of this, Xuan Huang, Da Chu, and You Ming Dalu all issued orders: anyone below Zhun Di eight layers should stay home and behave. Things were chaotic enough already, and losing people would just mean more trouble searching for them.

It was indeed a exhausting task to find missing people, with countless faction elders personally scouring the starry sky, all because their own had vanished without a trace.

Boom! Rumble!

The Zhu Tian was lively, and so was the black hole.

Looking closely, two brilliant divine lights streaked through—one dazzling gold, the other dark and sinister. They shot across, one after the other, adding a splash of color to the black hole.

It was Ye Chen and the emperor-level Tian Mo.

Since the Tian Mo had started fleeing, Ye Chen had no idea how long he had been chasing, but he still hadn't caught him. There were a couple of times he got close and started fighting, only for the thing to slip away again.

"I'll kill you if it's the last thing I do, or I'll take your name."

Ye Chen's face was as black as thunder. He'd seen fast runners before, but never one this quick. The more he chased, the angrier he got. Even with his surging blood and energy, he was starting to wear out, while the one ahead was still hopping around full of life, which just fueled his rage.

The emperor-level Tian Mo said nothing and kept fleeing.

Ahead, a vast sea of clouds appeared, hazy and ethereal.

The emperor-level Tian Mo shot in like a beam of demonic light.

Boom! Bang! Pound!

Chaotic noises erupted instantly. The Tian Mo that had just flown in was sent flying back out, with a sword wound across his chest. It looked like he had been struck down by a single sword.

In mere moments, a person stepped out from the sea of clouds—dressed in simple robes, with a graceful and jade-like demeanor, holding a resonating Dao sword overflowing with sword energy. Who else could it be but Wu Tian Jian Zun?

That's right, it was Mo Qin. He was still in the black hole, originally searching for Tian Mo and E Mo. When he entered the sea of clouds and looked around, he saw someone fly in—it was a Tian Mo, and an emperor-level one at that. What more was there to say?

"Senior, you really are everywhere!"

Ye Chen laughed, letting out a heavy breath.

Wu Tian Jian Zun didn't speak; he just stared at the emperor-level Tian Mo. There were many questions he wanted to ask Ye Chen, but clearly, this wasn't the time. Dealing with the Tian Mo was the priority.

The two of them moved in tandem, trapping it in the middle.

The emperor-level Tian Mo didn't look good, with the sword wound on his chest filled with killing intent, making it hard to heal. It was all because Wu Tian Jian Zun was too powerful.

"Why aren't you running?"

Ye Chen wiped the fresh blood from his mouth; his injuries hadn't fully healed, and his small world was still damaged. If not for that, how could this emperor-level Tian Mo have evaded him for so long?

Of course he wanted to run.

The moment Ye Chen finished speaking, the emperor-level Tian Mo moved again, like a demonic light piercing into the vast expanse, his evasion techniques being his specialty. Whether they could catch up was up to them.

Buzz! Buzz!

Young Master Ye and the Jian Zun charged forward—one like divine light, the other like immortal radiance—both unleashing devastating strikes, ultimate killing techniques.

The emperor-level Tian Mo sneered and dodged in an instant.

"Shift Heaven and Earth."

"Sword Extinguishes the Nine Heavens."

Ye Chen shouted firmly, casting an emperor-level immortal art to swap positions with the emperor-level Tian Mo, while the Jian Zun's destructive sword strike was aimed right at him.

Pfft!

Their coordination proved spot-on. The Tian Mo had just been swapped over when the Jian Zun's sword arrived, its power overwhelming and nearly splitting the emperor's body in half, sending fragments of emperor bone and blood flying.

Seal!

Ye Chen pressed down with a palm from midair, deploying the emperor-level Fu Xi array enhanced with the Twelve Tian Zi Da Ming array. The two arrays merged perfectly, trapping the creature the moment it steadied itself.

Roar!

The emperor-level Tian Mo howled in fury, its empty eyes turning blood-red. Its usually dull face twisted into something hideous as it awakened its divine consciousness. Bursts of emperor-level demonic light erupted, forcefully breaking the seal. Rolling demonic energy surged like a tidal wave.

Clang!

The Jian Zun arrived, his sword cleaving through the sea of demonic energy.

Get out!

The emperor-level Tian Mo roared in anger, striking with a palm that flung the Jian Zun away.

Buzz!

In that instant, Ye Chen appeared again, unfolding the Hun Dun great realm. Dao principles intertwined, infused with emperor essence; every mountain and river was imbued with emperor Dao spirituality, as heavy as a mountain range.

Pfft!

The emperor-level Tian Mo spat blood, staggering under the pressure. Its newly reformed emperor body cracked open again, with streams of emperor blood seeping from each fissure.

The external pressure once more stirred its divine consciousness. The emperor-level Tian Mo's demonic power soared, its emperor Dao laws looming, as it forcibly shattered Ye Chen's Hun Dun realm.

At the same time, its head was severed. The Jian Zun's combat power was incredibly dominant, using an extermination technique to severely wound the emperor-level Tian Mo.

The emperor-level Tian Mo wailed, trying to regenerate its head.

But Ye Chen wouldn't give it the chance. With a single thought of eternity, he froze the heavens and earth; transforming into a divine blade, he merged nine paths and eight directions into one overhead strike.

Pfft!

In an instant of freezing, and in an instant of release.

Yet the emperor-level Tian Mo's emperor body was split in two by Ye Chen's blade on the spot. From within, its divine consciousness true form crawled out—faint and transparent, twisted and grotesque. Fear was etched in its eyes; without the emperor body to support it, it could be extinguished at any moment.

"It's over."

"It's over."

Ye Chen and the Jian Zun spoke in unison—one sacrificing his Sheng Ti origin to engulf the Tian Mo's divine consciousness, the other thrusting his sword in a devastating sweep to destroy the Tian Mo's true form.

"No."

The Tian Mo's shriek came from its very soul. It had lain dormant for endless ages to nurture its consciousness. If it had stayed hidden, no one would have found it, but it had emerged on its own, only to encounter two ruthless opponents.

No matter how it shrieked, it was futile.

Pfft!

After exterminating the emperor-level Tian Mo, Ye Chen staggered a step, coughing up old blood. He was already injured, and pushing his power recklessly had damaged his foundations once more.

Pfft!

He wasn't the only one spitting blood; Wu Tian Jian Zun was too. From the looks of it, during his years in the black hole fighting Tian Mo and E Mo, he had sustained injuries, and they were hidden ones.

"What upheaval has occurred in Zhu Tian?"

Once he steadied himself, the Jian Zun finally spoke.

"Tian Mo invasion—"

Ye Chen's word "invasion" hadn't fully left his lips when he abruptly stopped. That was because a figure suddenly emerged from his bronze furnace without any warning.

It was Xiao Ruo Xi, still appearing as an eight-year-old girl. Her bright, clear eyes were slightly vacant, and her plump little face was somewhat dull. Even her steps were stiff as she walked out, step by step, toward the darkness.

The Jian Zun furrowed his brows, feeling like he had seen her somewhere before. The sudden appearance of this person filled his eyes with wariness. From Ruo Xi, he sensed a terrifying aura, and the stronger the person, the more keenly they felt it.

"Ruo Xi."

Ye Chen was stunned for a moment and hurriedly stepped forward.

But before he could truly touch her, a halo of light spread out from Ruo Xi as its center, expanding in all directions, brimming with destructive power.

"Damn."
