Chapter 2675: Chaos Body Versus Saint Body

A simple exchange of words, and the two shared a smile before closing their eyes in unison, only to snap them open again. Ye Chen's eyes spun with the cycles of reincarnation, while the Hun Dun Ti's eyes transformed into pure chaos.

One pair of Liu Dao Lun Hui Eyes and one pair of Hun Dun Eyes locked gazes across the void. Their stares clashed, sparking flames laced with lightning that distorted the surrounding space.

Neither moved, but their eyes instantly concealed their intense gazes—a silent understanding between them. They would duel with their minds, not their bodies. If they fought outright in reality, it would likely awaken all those in self-seclusion across the Xian Domain. Better to keep it quiet and contained.

One Huang Gu Sheng Ti and one Hun Dun Ti stood like ancient stone carvings or dust-sealed ice sculptures, facing each other motionless. The wind in that realm halted, leaves froze mid-air, and everything seemed to grind to a stop.

In the depths of the void, a faint sound of the Great Dao echoed through the universe. The two paths of chaos, though slightly different, led to the same ultimate truth. Strands of Dao principles flickered in and out of sight, intertwining in a dance. Ancient visions manifested: first chaos, then the creation of all things—vast rivers, towering mountains, flowers, and grasses, all imbued with spirit.

It was like that game in Chen Tang Guan years ago. The two didn't pit their bloodlines or raw power against each other; they tested their respective Daos, their depth of comprehension.

The world fell into utter silence.

At some point, a figure appeared—Jiang Taigong, carrying the Da Shen Bian, striding through the skies. From afar, he spotted Ye Chen, his old face still darkened with annoyance. He had tracked him all the way, having seen countless spirit herb gardens stripped bare and many spirit fruit trees plundered. It was all Ye Chen's doing. "You said you wouldn't steal, but you're doing it so smoothly!"

Hmm?

As he drew closer, he noticed the Hun Dun Ti.

Seeing the two locked in a stare, Jiang Taigong narrowed his eyes. He could tell they were engaged in a mental battle and muttered to himself, "When did my little Shishu emerge from seclusion?"

Knowing it was a contest of wills, he stepped back quietly, not wanting to disturb them. He focused more on the Hun Dun Ti, marveling at its cultivation—already at Zhun Di Ba Chong Tian level. The speed of advancement was on par with Ye Chen's. Both were equally monstrous prodigies, true youthful emperor-tier talents, and perfect rivals for each other.

A breeze swept by, and both their bodies trembled slightly.

Then, blood trickled from the corners of their mouths—the mental clash had been so fierce it affected their physical forms. The wandering Dao principles now carried a destructive edge. Even Jiang Taigong felt a tremor in his soul. Though his cultivation realm surpassed theirs, in terms of Dao comprehension, either the Huang Gu Sheng Ti or the Hun Dun Ti could utterly crush him.

That was why he couldn't defeat Ye Chen, and the same went for the Hun Dun Ti. Sometimes, the suppression of Dao was something even Ji Dao Di Qi couldn't overcome.

Bang!

As he watched, a muffled boom echoed from the void.

Two halos burst forth—one purple, one gold—radiating from Ye Chen and the Hun Dun Ti, spreading outward. They shook the Chang Sheng Tree violently and sent Jiang Taigong stumbling back, struggling to keep his footing.

Jiang Taigong sighed in awe, summoning his three Ji Dao Di Qi to steady himself. Those halos were the aftershocks of their mental battle, manifesting externally.

It was clear just how intense the fight was.

After a long while, Jiang Taigong used his emperor weapons as support to approach slowly. Glancing into Ye Chen's eyes, he saw a terrifying scene: Ye Chen stood on a golden immortal sea, the Hun Dun Ti on a chaotic divine sea. One had a vast starry sky hovering above their head, the other a chaotic star domain. They bombarded each other with secret techniques, each collision unleashing destructive visions.

Looking into the Hun Dun Ti's eyes revealed the same scene. Jiang Taigong hadn't even experienced it firsthand, but just witnessing it made his heart quake. The assault of the Dao was overpowering; it was fortunate this was a mental battle. In reality, the entire vast Xian Domain would be shattered.

Roar! Roar!

Suddenly, mighty dragon roars resounded.

In their eyes, the scene shifted: Ye Chen transformed into a golden true dragon, the Hun Dun Ti into a purple divine dragon. One gold and one purple, they coiled and clashed amid the chaos. The Dao's ripples overflowed once more, ethereal, desolate, and heavy. Not only Jiang Taigong, but even his three Ji Dao Di Qi hummed and vibrated, as if in surprise or excitement.

Jiang Taigong retreated again, waiting with his hands clasped.

He felt truly fortunate. Across the heavens and earth, he was the only spectator to this showdown between the Huang Gu Sheng Ti and the Hun Dun Ti, witnessing the rise of two youthful emperor-tier figures. Given enough time, one of them might become another Dao Zu. All three cultivated the chaos path, kindred spirits, potential myth-makers.

And so, three days passed quietly.

The two locked in mental combat remained utterly still.

On the fourth day, blood overflowed from their mouths again.

On the fifth day, destructive visions appeared in the sky.

On the sixth day, chaos Dao principles wandered through the heavens.

On the seventh day, lightning flashed and thunder roared.

On the eighth day, cracks formed on their divine bodies.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk."

Even someone as steadfast as Jiang Taigong couldn't help but click his tongue. This mental battle was incredibly enduring, lasting a full eight days without a victor. One Huang Gu Sheng Ti and one Hun Dun Ti, evenly matched. If such a war played out in reality, it would shake the entire universe.

Now, looking at them, both were covered in blood. A Dao wind howled, making their long hair flutter toward the sky. Strand by strand, it was infused with profound Dao essence, as if they weren't two people but two manifestations of the Dao—sometimes chaotic, sometimes solid.

By the ninth day, both their faces had turned deathly pale, their breaths weak and faint. The bloody gashes on their bodies were laced with eerie light, carrying the killing intent of each other's Dao principles.

It was obvious they were both at their limits.

Indeed, that was the case.

In the mental battlefield, a hazy chaos prevailed with lightning and thunder. Ye Chen staggered in the eastern sky; the Hun Dun Ti swayed in the western expanse. The immortal light that should have enveloped them was completely extinguished, their powers utterly depleted. Even the Dao swords they held had dulled to their extreme.

"You're stronger than I imagined."

The Hun Dun Ti laughed, regathering chaos principles, his gaze toward Ye Chen now tinged with wariness. People often said the Hun Dun Ti could suppress the Huang Gu Sheng Ti, but after this fight, it didn't seem that way. Huang Gu Sheng Ti varied in strength, and someone like Ye Chen was no ordinary one. His Dao comprehension was so advanced it transcended bloodline limitations.

"You're tougher than I thought."

Ye Chen steadied himself, sighing repeatedly. The Hun Dun Ti wasn't just tough; it was nearly impossible to land a hit. Ye Chen had unleashed his full power and every emperor-level immortal technique, yet he couldn't overcome this Hun Dun Ti. Its Dao comprehension matched his own, and as Dao Zu's disciple, it wielded an endless array of emperor techniques. Ye Chen had been beaten badly, and in turn, the chaos Dao had wounded him severely.

The two shared another smile and launched another assault.

Outside, Jiang Taigong, who had been dozing off, jolted awake again, his sleepy eyes wide with shock. One Huang Gu Sheng Ti and one Hun Dun Ti—were they fated enemies, determined to fight until the end of time?

Night fell once more.

In that realm, the two showed no signs of waking, only the echoes of the Great Dao resounding. Even Jiang Taigong felt his mind grow hazy, occasionally gaining a flash of insight. But his enlightenment came with a touch of embarrassment. He was older and at a higher realm than them, yet in Dao comprehension, he was outclassed by miles. Listening to their Dao sounds made him realize there were always greater heights, and an old divine being like him felt anything but comfortable.

When he looked again, the mental battle had ended.

Both Ye Chen and the Hun Dun Ti awoke, stepping back with a thud and kneeling on one knee, spitting out blood in unison. Their faces were ghastly white, their once-vibrant vital energy now withered and faint. Their injuries were equally severe.

Jiang Taigong raised an eyebrow. "A draw?"

The Hun Dun Ti shook his head with a smile, and Ye Chen did the same. It was indeed a draw. As youthful emperor-tier figures, they had an unspoken understanding. They both knew whether victory was possible—fifty-fifty in power, equal in Dao comprehension. Fighting on would mean mutual destruction, so a draw was the best outcome.

"Someday, we'll fight again."

The Hun Dun Ti said with a laugh, his towering battle intent still burning. The unique pride of a youthful emperor-tier refused easy defeat. In this era of emperor path upheavals, full of endless variables, one thing remained constant for him: to prove the Dao and become emperor, he must defeat the Huang Gu Sheng Ti. It was an obsession, perhaps even a inner demon. On the path to emperor supremacy, Ye Chen was that barrier, a chasm he had to cross.

"Someday, I'll find someone to fight you."

Ye Chen took a deep breath, a sudden thought crossing his mind. He was tempted to bring Zhao Yun over. Back in the underworld, he and Zhao Yun had fought to a draw; now in the heavens, he and the Hun Dun Ti had done the same. The tenth emperor of Da Chu was curious: if those two clashed, who would emerge stronger?

The Hun Dun Ti smiled faintly and turned to leave, nearly stumbling with an unsteady step. Though it was a mental battle, the injuries were real, and after two or three years of self-seclusion, it emerged only to suffer such a heavy blow.

Behind him, Ye Chen also staggered unsteadily.

The Hun Dun Ti was badly wounded, and he wasn't faring much better. The same level of devastation left his legs weak, and he occasionally coughed up blood.

"Hand over the treasures you stole."

Seeing Ye Chen's severe injuries, Jiang Taigong grew bold, gripping the Da Shen Bian in one hand and extending the other. His old face was still dark, his eyes blazing as if to say, "Hand them over, or I'll beat you senseless."

Ye Chen steadied himself and immediately bowed with clasped hands, his expression quite respectful. "I've seen the Dao Zu."

Well done! With that, Jiang Taigong turned away.

By the time he turned back, that certain someone had vanished without a trace. As always, the Da Chu emperor's tricks were one after another, each more cunning than the last.

Jiang Taigong clutched his chest, as if he'd swallowed a lead weight, feeling a blockage in his heart. The Dao Zu's grand-disciple had been duped again, by the same person, for the third time.

It was a good thing Dao Zu wasn't around; otherwise, he would surely speak with grave concern, sending Jiang Taigong to watch Ye Chen—clearly a futile effort. One was as dense as wood, the other as sly as a fox; how could he possibly keep up? In time, Jiang Taigong would likely grow wiser, having been tricked so often.

Thus, the task of honing Jiang Taigong fell squarely on Ye Chen's shoulders. Given enough time, this young master Ye would whip the old man into shape, making him quite the lively character.
