Chapter 2483: My Invitation

"Go?"

Ye Chen spoke coldly and resolutely, stepping across the void with a single stride. He swung his staff, instantly shattering one saint on the spot. With a flip of his hand, he delivered another palm strike, extinguishing a second saint. The third saint met the most tragic end, trying to flee into the sky, only to be stomped into a pile of ashes mid-air by Ye Chen's descending foot.

His dominance made the crowd of immortals change their expressions. Clearly, this little stone spirit had no intention of letting things end peacefully. From the looks of it, he aimed to wipe them all out.

"Join forces to suppress him."

The Shifang Immortal shouted hoarsely, spitting out a treasure seal that was a saint's weapon, actually a quasi-emperor artifact. However, in the realm of scattered immortals, even magical tools were suppressed. The seal was wreathed in dragon breath, as heavy as a massive mountain, causing the universe to crumble under its weight.

Ye Chen didn't even glance at it, smashing it apart with a single staff strike. The Shifang Immortal suffered backlash, spitting blood and flying backward. Before he could land, Ye Chen's divine shang immortal light had already arrived, instantly obliterating him.

"Execute."

Three saints arrived together, each forming hand seals. Soon, three ancient bronze pillars appeared, along with a sky full of array patterns that formed a triangular cage, trapping Ye Chen inside.

Ye Chen cast an immortal technique, breaking free from the cage, and struck each one with his staff, scattering their souls.

"Destroy."

A cold shout echoed from the void as someone pressed their palms together, unleashing a great divine ability. It summoned a silver thunderbolt from the heavens, carrying the power of annihilation, capable of splitting mountains and cleaving seas.

Unfortunately, thunder was useless against Ye Chen. As the tenth emperor of Da Chu, he had been struck by lightning throughout his path and had long developed immunity. He neutralized the thunder with his dao and retaliated with nine strands of divine shang. Standing too high wasn't always an advantage—it made him a living target. Splashes of brilliant blood flowers bloomed vividly under the moonlight.

"Die!"

Countless people lunged at him, their expressions fierce and twisted. Some cast immortal techniques, others wielded magical tools, and still others activated killing arrays. Secret techniques blanketed the sky, engulfing that patch of vast expanse.

However, before their attacks could reach Ye Chen, the universe froze in place.

In an instant, the world was filled with flowers of the other shore. Ye Chen had cast a thought of eternity, creating a moment of stillness. He then stepped into the sky, swinging his staff to point downward, summoning thousands of swords.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Blood light flashed as one figure after another was pierced, with blood flowers blooming proudly.

Ah!

Screams rang out endlessly, and wails shook the nine heavens. In that moment, everyone's gaze was etched with shock and fear. This small stone spirit in the Ling Xu realm had such profound comprehension of the dao. If they weren't mistaken, that brief instant had involved the law of time.

"In your next life, don't provoke those you shouldn't."

Accompanied by his icy words, Ye Chen descended from the sky like a ghost, or like a sovereign overlooking the eight directions.

What followed was a particularly bloody scene.

From outside the mountains, one could see peak after peak collapsing in succession. In the night, this god of slaughter showed no mercy, rampaging within. Wails echoed shrilly, and scarlet blood mist drifted everywhere, obscuring the vast starry sky and even tainting the starlight with red.

It was unclear how long it took before the booming sounds finally faded.

Looking into the mountains now, corpses littered the ground everywhere.

Ye Chen gripped his bloodstained iron staff, advancing step by step toward the last survivor, an immortal from Shifang. He was the only one left alive among them, dragging his blood-soaked body and stumbling backward in retreat until he reached the base of the mountain, where he finally steadied himself.

"My master is the Eighth Prince of the Heavenly Court."

The Shifang Immortal howled shrilly, his face deathly pale and his expression full of terror. He wasn't foolish; he invoked his backer in an attempt to intimidate Ye Chen and secure a chance at survival.

Ye Chen said nothing, raising his staff and bringing it down.

Thud!

Blood flowers burst forth as that person was instantly reduced to dust. What a joke—threatening Ye Chen? Not even if it were the Eighth Prince himself; Ye Chen would eliminate him just the same.

With that, the group of murderers and robbers was completely wiped out, not lonely on the road to the Yellow Springs. This bloody incident, sparked by a divine iron, ended with them failing to seize the treasure and instead being annihilated.

Ye Chen tore off his bloodstained clothes and changed into a new dao robe. With a wave of his hand, he collected the scattered storage bags and broken magical tools, integrating their essence into the Dinghai Shen Needle.

Next came tallying the spoils.

This group was incredibly wealthy, with plenty of heavenly stones, not to mention pills, secret scrolls, and magical tools. The rest consisted of rare flowers and exotic herbs, materials for alchemists to refine pills.

What made Ye Chen raise an eyebrow was that inside one storage bag, there was an invitation to the Hua Shan Dao Discussion, stored in a precious box. It seemed its owner had cherished it greatly.

Ye Chen took it along. With an invitation in hand, he wouldn't need to go through the trouble of robbing one.

Accompanied by a thunderous boom, the entire mountain range was flattened by his palm, turning it into a grave. The immortals buried within all had significant backgrounds, but unfortunately, they had provoked the wrong person.

As for Young Master Ye, he had already departed, heading straight for Hua Shan.

Not long after he left, Taiyi Zhen Ren appeared, gazing at the ruins of the mountain range. He clicked his tongue in amazement. Over a hundred saints, including some with suppressed cultivations, had been wiped out by a single Ling Xu realm expert. Such a feat was nothing short of heaven-defying.

At that moment, he felt fortunate that he hadn't made an enemy of Ye Chen. That little stone spirit might seem unreliable and a bit shameless, but when it came to killing, he was truly ruthless.

"Having wiped out the Eighth Prince's people, his days ahead might not be easy."

Taiyi Zhen Ren sighed, thinking of the Eighth Prince of the Heavenly Court, which made him shiver involuntarily. As the youngest son of the Jade Emperor and the most favored, he was not only arrogant and domineering but also extremely cruel. In the Upper Immortal Heaven Realm, it was said that one should rather provoke an immortal king than this prince.

Suddenly, a streak of white immortal light shot across the sky.

Upon closer inspection, it wasn't immortal light but a figure in a white dao robe, with white hair and a white beard, holding a dust whisk. He exuded the aura of a true immortal, and on his forehead was etched a five-star immortal mark.

His identity was no simple matter; he was a high official in the Heavenly Court. In the heavenly realm, he was known as Tai Bai Jin Xing. True to his title, he was exceptionally fair-skinned, with a natural dao essence about him.

"Old official, what brings you down to the mortal realm?"

Taiyi glanced at him.

Tai Bai stroked his beard with a smile, standing tall and straight. "Naturally, for the Hua Shan Dao Discussion."

"Where did you get an invitation from?"

Taiyi raised an eyebrow.

"From Si Ming Xing Jun." Tai Bai chuckled. "That fellow is swamped, searching all over the heavenly realm for someone, and he said he has no time to go to Hua Shan, so he gave the invitation to me, this old official. People say good luck comes and you can't even stop it—what do you think, isn't that infuriating?"

Taiyi Zhen Ren took a deep breath, suppressing the urge to curse.

Recalling his own efforts, he had given so many gifts and pulled so many strings, even risking half his fortune, just to obtain a Hua Shan invitation. Yet here was Tai Bai Jin Xing, getting one so effortlessly. Comparing people really was maddening!

Moreover, Taiyi strongly suspected that Tai Bai Jin Xing had come here specifically to show off and get under his skin. After all, going to Hua Shan didn't require passing through this place.

"Since we've met, how about traveling together?"

Tai Bai said with a grin, clearly delighted, especially seeing Taiyi Zhen Ren's darkened face, which made him feel quite satisfied.

"Go wherever you're comfortable."

Taiyi cursed and ascended into the sky in a single step.

"Look at that, throwing a tantrum again."

Tai Bai quickly followed like a puff of smoke.

The two sped off, one like immortal light and the other like divine radiance, vanishing into the heavens.

The night fell back into tranquility.

Ye Chen traveled through the sky, heading westward along the starlight and moonlight. Many others were going in the same direction, undoubtedly heading for the Hua Shan Dao Discussion.

He was certain that over ninety percent of them didn't have invitations; they were probably just there to join the excitement. Those with real invitations were either profound experts or backed by major forces.

Or, like him, someone who would go and seize one if needed.
