Chapter 2433: Buried in Legend

Chapter 2433: Legend of the Hidden God

Early morning, the gentle sun bathed Yunu Peak.

Today, the women all looked listless, yawning and with dark circles under their eyes, as if they hadn't slept well the night before—or rather, they hadn't slept at all. They had stayed up all night, their eyes wide with anticipation, yet they saw nothing. Meanwhile, the two people in the room had slept soundly.

"Yo, everyone's here?"

A group of Di Zi level figures arrived, not just one, but a whole crowd, with Kui Niu being the most conspicuous. He swaggered at the forefront like a boss, his chest puffed out, an arrogant air about him, as if he were some sort of overlord. Anyone who didn't know better might think the other Di Zi level figures trailing behind were his underlings.

This fellow was practically showing off his Di Yun, with visible cracks of thunder energy surrounding him, quite striking.

Seeing him, the women's anger flared even more. You cheap old cow, it's all because of you that what should have been a beautiful night was completely ruined.

"I didn't even provoke you all." Kui Niu muttered, walking around bare-chested and casually, seemingly looking for Ye Chen. But after scanning the area, he didn't find anyone.

The other Di Zi level figures made themselves right at home, not treating themselves as outsiders at all—this wasn't their first visit. They were all familiar with the place, bringing out their own tables, chairs, and wine without any hesitation.

The women ignored them, occasionally casting glances towards Ji Ningshuang's room.

Inside the room, Ji Ningshuang was already awake, still lying on the bed, quietly watching Ye Chen. Her cheeks were flushed. Although it was a dream, it felt so real. One night in the real world had stretched to three days in the dream, full of intimacy, leaving even a youthful Di Zi level figure feeling exhausted.

Only she knew about this. If the outside world found out, they would surely give Ye Chen a thumbs-up. The Tenth Emperor of Da Chu, quite the stamina! Three days and nights without pause, truly dominant.

As for Ye Chen, he was sleeping soundly, as peaceful as ever, a look of complete satisfaction plastered on his face.

Bathed in the slanting sunlight, his eyebrows twitched slightly, and he slowly opened his eyes.

The first thing he saw was colorful silk swaying in the breeze, embroidered with vibrant peach blossoms. At a glance, it was clearly a woman's boudoir, even the bed arrangements were elegantly refined.

Ye Chen was stunned for a second, then instinctively turned his head. Their noses were almost touching, their eyes meeting from just a couple of inches away, close enough to see the stories in each other's gaze.

"You're awake." Ji Ningshuang smiled gently, then sat up, hugging her knees. Her already flushed cheeks turned even rosier, a captivating shade of red. In this pose, she looked just like a new bride after her wedding night.

Ye Chen sat up too, rubbing his forehead as he tried to recall everything.

As he thought, his expression turned strange. He glanced sideways at Ji Ningshuang, his eyes seeking confirmation about what they had done last night.

"Sharing a bed, that's all." Ji Ningshuang said, then flipped off the bed.

"That doesn't seem right! I feel like I had a spring dream!"

Ye Chen got out of bed as well and noticed his lower body was damp, looking for all the world like he'd wet himself. It was embarrassing, even for him—let alone Ji Ningshuang.

Ye Chen stood there quietly for a long time without speaking, finally remembering what had happened the night before. They had shared a bed, sure, but in the dream, things had gotten intimate. It must have been Ji Ningshuang who created that dream.

The Ming Di wore a meaningful expression. Let me calculate—this is probably a case of nocturnal emission. If you say you didn't have a spring dream, no one would believe it—your pants are even wet.

Ye Chen didn't say a word, just glanced down at himself, feeling deflated.

When he looked back at Ji Ningshuang, he paid special attention to her lower body. She was dressed neatly in simple clothes, like an ordinary exiled immortal, flawless.

She must have changed her clothes!

Ye Chen thought to himself with certainty. We both had that spring dream, so I'm all wet down there—you must be too. You changed, so why not get me a change too?

With that one look, the blush on Ji Ningshuang's cheeks spread to her neck. He was spot on—she had indeed changed her clothes.

The atmosphere became incredibly awkward.

It wasn't an exaggeration to say that if outsiders knew about this awkward scene, the Tenth Emperor of Da Chu would become famous across the realms again, and Dong Shen Yaochi would get caught up in the buzz too.

These two youthful Di Zi level figures really know how to set the mood! With so many people waiting for a live show, you two went and did it in a dream instead. Is that appropriate?

"Jiu Niang, time for breakfast!"

From outside the room, Ye Ling's call broke the silence.

The tranquility shattered, and Ji Ningshuang suddenly turned away, head down and eyes lowered, as if fleeing the room. She left Ye Chen standing there alone, his mouth twitching awkwardly.

He still needed to change clothes and save face.

Ye Chen lingered a bit, underestimating Ji Ningshuang's abilities—she actually had such a divine skill. The scenes from the dream were still vivid in his mind, or perhaps it wasn't a dream at all, but as real as reality.

In that moment, he thought a lot. In the future, he should come here more often. Who knows, he might stumble into another dream. The feeling of a spring dream was truly wonderful.

"You dead old cow, this isn't for you—scram."

"And you, that monkey, why are you so bold? We didn't make any for you."

"I say, sister-in-law, don't be so stingy!"

Outside, things were getting noisy. What should have been a peaceful breakfast was disrupted by some uninvited guests who had the nerve to sit down. The table wasn't small, but with so many people, it was crowded. They all brought their own bowls and chopsticks, clearly showing up early as a group—not for chit-chat, but to freeload a meal.

Squeak!

While everyone was bustling about, the door suddenly opened again. Ye Chen stepped out, full of energy, his vigor intact from last night's escapade, carrying that same arrogant air wherever he went.

His appearance made all the Di Zi level figures raise their eyebrows. Even Kui Niu, who was in the middle of grabbing food, froze in place. Damn, did we come too late? Should we have shown up last night for a live show? We missed it by a hair.

"Old dad, breakfast's ready!"

Ye Ling giggled.

"You all eat first." Ye Chen said, then dragged out his meal companion—one hand holding a wolf-tooth club, the other around Kui Niu's neck—as they headed straight for the back mountain. From behind, the two of them looked quite the pair, like true brothers, thick as thieves.

Ah!

Soon, a miserable scream echoed from the back mountain, shaking heaven and earth. The sound was unmistakably from Kui Niu, who had been hauled off by Ye Chen for a proper beating. You old hag, why did you have to show up right when I was in the middle of my wedding night? You ruined my beautiful morning, and if it weren't for you, would I have needed that spring dream?

Not long after, Ye Chen returned, his wolf-tooth club dripping with blood.

As for Kui Niu, he was a total mess, beaten into what could only be described as a meat patty, lying on the ground. Even his thunderous Di Yun had wilted.

The prince of the Kui Niu family must have felt quite dejected. He'd finally gotten a heaven-defying stroke of luck with that Di Yun of thunder principles—how powerful! He had traveled far to spar with Ye Chen, only to get a thorough thrashing, nearly killed, and now another beating first thing in the morning.

His experience perfectly illustrated an old saying: Fail at forcing yourself and end up the victim.

Awesome!

The Ming Jie emperor watched and couldn't help but chuckle—Ye Chen had done exactly what he wanted to do.

Now, at the breakfast table, besides Ye Chen's family, there wasn't a single outsider left.

Even the little Yuan Huang had scurried off to squat somewhere, afraid Ye Chen might take out his frustrations on him next. The boss had been beaten to a pulp, and this guy was aiming to take his place.

"Having two youthful Di Zi level figures in the family means you can do whatever you want!" Ri Yue Shen Zi said with a sigh, hands tucked in his sleeves, clicking his tongue in admiration. They get to eat breakfast while we're just spectators.

"No justice in this world." The other Di Zi level figures sighed in unison. There are only two youthful Di Zi level figures in all the realms, and they've both ended up in one family. All us Di Zi level figures showing up here just makes things awkward.

"This generation is already suppressed beyond belief, and the next one doesn't hold much hope either." Dong Zhou Wu Wang rubbed his brow, thinking of his family's Tian Qian and Tian Sha, which gave him headaches.

"Even so, he's still thinking about making another one." Bai Hu Tai Zi grinned.

The several dozen Di Zi level figures felt melancholic. One Sheng Ti family has dominated the realms for two eras. If things go as expected, the next supreme being will probably come from their line too.

"Hey, that monkey, want some breakfast?"

Xi Yan waved at the little Yuan Huang.

"No... uh, not hungry." The little Yuan Huang hung his head, completely deflated.

Ye Chen enjoyed his breakfast thoroughly, occasionally reminiscing about last night's scenes. One night in the outside world, three days in the dream—this spring dream was definitely worth it.

"What are you laughing about?" Chu Ling glanced at Ye Chen.

"I'm not laughing." Ye Chen coughed dryly and took a sip of fish soup, but his smile only grew wider, drawing curious looks from the women, as if he were some kind of oddity.

Ji Ningshuang kept her head down in silence. Only she knew why Ye Chen was smiling. Someone who's been through the wedding night is just full of spirit. The dream she created was like spring for Ye Chen.

After the meal, Ye Chen finally stood up and patted his backside.

Only then did the Di Zi level figures gather around, not for jokes, but because they had real business with Ye Chen. This kind of matter could have been discussed with Ji Ningshuang too—as long as it involved a youthful Di Zi level figure, it would work.

However, compared to Yaochi's bookish type, they had more faith in Ye Chen.

"Old Seven, do you know where Old One's thunder Di Yun came from?" The little Yuan Huang spoke first, poking Ye Chen with his furry finger, full of mystery.

Ye Chen pulled out a flask of wine. "Spit it out, no need to beat around the bush."

"It came from the Zang Shen Gu Di." Zhong Huang spoke slowly, revealing a secret.

"Zang Shen Gu Di?" Ye Chen raised an eyebrow.

"Legend has it that it's an ancient burial ground, where gods are interred, from some unknown era." Song Yu explained. "That's how Zang Shen Gu Di got its name."

"Gods." Ye Chen murmured lightly, stroking his chin. He wondered what level these so-called gods represented—probably the supreme emperors, given they were called gods.

"Nine days ago, we had the chance to go in and see." Qing Di Zhi Zi said. "It's like the Tian Zun ruins—full of dangers and opportunities. Old Cow got lucky and snagged the Di Yun."

"What's so special about that ancient ground?" Ye Chen asked immediately.

"Age restriction."

"We tested it—anyone under a thousand years can enter; those over a thousand get blocked by some mysterious force. Of course, those of us who self-sealed in ancient times don't count. Over a thousand years old can try to force their way in, but they'll face disaster and risk body and soul destruction. There are bloody examples of that."

Ye Chen furrowed his brow slightly. "That's interesting."

"We're here to invite you to explore the ancient ground with us." The Di Zi level figures from the realms said.

"Your trip isn't just for that, right!" Ye Chen laughed.

"Nonsense, we're coming to you first because we want to ask the Di Jun and the female Sheng Ti to come out. Two fully realized Sheng Ti, on par with or even surpassing great emperors, wouldn't be affected by the age restriction."

"That might be tough." Ye Chen shook his head with a smile.

He wanted to ask, but the problem was, Di Huang and Hong Yan were no longer in the realms.

The departure of those two supreme beings was a top secret, known only to the various factions' ancestors. Everyone here, including Chu Xuan and Chu Ling, was still in the dark.

"Even a quasi-emperor Sheng Ti would do." Wu Ji Di Zi chuckled.

"Say it all at once, don't hold back." Ye Chen rolled his eyes.

"In Zang Shen Gu Di, there's a Huang Gu Sheng Ti, and it's alive." Chen Yi spoke up.

"Alive?" Ye Chen raised his eyebrow again, truly shocked.

"No doubt about it." Xi Zun took a deep breath. "We saw it with our own eyes. Though covered in a black robe, it couldn't hide the Sheng Ti's origin and bloodline. Xuan Yuan Di Zi fought it and got seriously injured. He's still recovering in Yaochi Holy Land."

Ye Chen fell silent, his brow furrowing as a flicker of uncertainty crossed his eyes.

This era was extraordinary. Besides him, Di Huang, and Hong Yan, there was a fourth Sheng Ti. Not even outsiders would believe it, and as a Sheng Ti himself, he was stunned.

Di Huang and Hong Yan probably didn't know about this either, or they would have left some message. This Zang Shen Gu Di added another layer of mystery to the Sheng Ti lineage.

"Could it be the first kind of Sheng Ti?" Ye Chen muttered to himself.

As he spoke, Kui Niu returned, clutching his waist and limping along, his messy hair like a bird's nest—put an old hen in there, and it might even hatch chicks.

Coming back to Yunu Peak, this guy had learned his lesson, truly beaten into submission.

Even now, he didn't understand why his seventh brother was so furious. Wasn't it just a spar? Did you have to chase me down like that? Are we still sworn brothers?

Ye Chen didn't speak, just glanced at Kui Niu, focusing on his Di Yun.

Earlier, when he grabbed Kui Niu, he'd already studied it. That thunder Di Yun was impressive, from some unknown great emperor, incredibly dominant, with an unimaginable boost to combat power.

"Are you going or not? Give us a straight answer." Ri Yue Shen Zi yawned, probably hadn't slept well last night either—all thanks to these troublemakers from Da Chu.

"Why wouldn't I go?" Ye Chen smiled.

"Bring that bookish type from your family along too!" Bai Hu Tai Zi grinned.

Ye Chen didn't respond, just looked in a certain direction. He knew who the bookish type was—Ji Ningshuang, the Dong Shen of Xuan Huang, a genuine youthful Di Zi level figure. Having her join would be what all the Di Zi level figures hoped for; with two youthful Di Zi level figures, they'd have more confidence.

"Your sisters-in-law are looking better and better."

"Keep staring and they're not yours. We're all sworn brothers—how did you end up like this?"

"Get lost, and you have the nerve to say that to me?"

The group started bickering again, with the little Yuan Huang always in the mix. He loved eyeing Ye Chen's wives and always got compared to Ye Chen—after all, they were sworn brothers!
