Chapter 2415: The Emperor's War Ends

The emperor's corpse was interred, and the rumbling sounds gradually faded away.

Above the Great Dao Tai Shang Heaven, the emperor's form was gone, leaving only a faint, blood-red silhouette swaying precariously. The Great Accomplishment Sacred Body had killed the emperor, but he was also severely injured, covered in blood and barely able to stand.

Di Huang extended a hand, a gentle force supporting Hong Yan.

Then, the vast essence of the Great Accomplishment Sacred Body enveloped the female Sacred Body, dispelling the emperor's killing intent within her. He also added a new seal to her tribulation. In her current state, she was unfit to face it; she needed to fully recover and be at her peak.

"The emperor is gone," people murmured, still reeling from the event.

These past few days were moments of profound historical significance. A peak emperor and two nascent emperors had fallen in the various heavens, an unprecedented act of defying the heavens. The lineage of the ancient Sacred Body had once again forged a new myth for this era, destined to be passed down through the ages.

"Two Great Accomplishment Sacred Bodies," onlookers smiled as they watched.

"Two Great Accomplishment Sacred Bodies," the cultivators of the heavens laughed, while the Hong Huang clans felt like weeping. They had harbored hopes of a resurgence, but now, with Hong Yan reaching Great Accomplishment, their last glimmer of hope was extinguished by despair. In the boundless cycles of change to come, there would be no opportunity for them.

With the emperor's demise, the invasion of the heavenly demons truly came to an end.

And what a glorious conclusion it was.

Looking back, in all the previous invasions by heavenly demons, the heavens had always fought with fierce determination, and this time ended with unparalleled spectacle. In just two days, they had slain three emperors and gained another ancient Sacred Body. Such a decisive victory was unprecedented. Compared to past events, one could easily imagine the change in morale.

High in the ethereal realm, Di Huang had already departed with Hong Yan.

Along with them vanished the six paths of mortal dust, all sealed away by Di Huang.

"Time to go home." Ye Chen smiled, turning back first, finally stepping down from Ren Wang's body.

Indeed, Ren Wang was still lying on the ground, sprawled out in a perfect spread-eagle position.

It was all because Zi Xuan had struck too harshly earlier, and thanks to Ye Chen's forceful stomping—Ren Wang could have woken up in between, but he had been knocked out again by that.

"Killing three emperors, exhilarating!"

"Can't wait for the Great Accomplishment Tribulation. With two Great Accomplishment Sacred Bodies guarding the heavens, it feels incredibly secure."

"In the years to come, there will be two more emperors."

The divine generals, emperors, and sword gods chatted as they withdrew, their faces alight with smiles.

It was noteworthy that as each of them left, they deliberately avoided looking and stepped right over Ren Wang. Even those as reserved as Yue Huang and Xian Mu followed suit, having spent so much time in Da Chu that they had unknowingly picked up some rather unsavory habits.

As for Dong Huang Tai Xin, her steps were particularly vicious—she stood on Ren Wang and stomped down hard twice. Back in the day, this scoundrel had repeatedly spied on her, and she had been holding onto that grudge.

The group of ruthless ones acted on their own, and the many old rogues did the same. Ren Wang lay there, and they all trampled over him without a second thought, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Crack! Crack!

These sounds echoed continuously from Ren Wang—it was the noise of bones shattering. That bunch of old-timers had stomped with incredible force, one after another, leaving him with multiple fractures. He was no longer a person; he was essentially a flattened meat patty stuck to the ground.

The younger generation watched with twitching mouths, secretly inhaling sharp breaths.

The folkways of the heavens were indeed fiercely bold. That was the remnant soul of a Ren Huang they were stepping on, and yet everyone was chatting and laughing as if nothing were amiss. Was that appropriate?

Appropriate!

That would be the answer from the group of quasi-emperors. We have our reasons for stepping on him! If you knew about all the shameless things he's done over the years, you'd probably join in for a few stomps yourself.

"Even looking at it hurts," Di Lao sighed and clicked his tongue.

Once he was done, this fellow also stepped over him.

The vast world was a scene of utter devastation, a complete wasteland. As the cultivators of the heavens withdrew, it felt emptier. The drifting blood mist still surged, and occasionally, one could hear a few roars—the cries of the Judgment Demon Emperor and the Myriad Evil Demon Emperor, still echoing.

After today, the Luo Sha Domain would cease to exist; the entire domain had vanished due to the heavenly demon invasion. Yet, the events that transpired in the Luo Sha Domain were destined to be recorded in history and celebrated by future generations.

The atmosphere on the return journey was filled with joy, yet also heavy with sorrow.

For instance, in the You Ming realm, the once magnificent mountains and rivers lay in ruins, with countless heroic souls buried there. It wouldn't be long before a stone monument was erected, inscribed with the names of those heroes, and a new statue of the You Ming Great Emperor would be carved, to be worshipped for generations in gratitude for their protection.

In the starry skies, there was also widespread destruction. Due to the emperor's aura and the battles among emperors, too many ancient stars had been affected and shattered, leaving countless people homeless and forced to seek new habitable stars.

This war had once again subjected all living beings to the flames of conflict. Many had undergone rebirth through nirvana, while even more had perished in battle. Though they achieved a great victory, it was laced with profound sadness. Such was war—utterly brutal.

Di Huang had returned to Da Chu and placed the female Sacred Body into the immortal pool of Tian Xuan Men. When she awoke, it would be time for her Great Accomplishment Tribulation. Barring any surprises, this era would soon have two Great Accomplishment Sacred Bodies.

The quasi-emperors arrived shortly after, and upon seeing Da Chu, they all paused in unison.

The state of Da Chu was no better—it was in shambles, not from the demons, but from the six paths of mortal dust. Those two fierce fighters had clashed, affecting a vast area. The fact that Da Chu still stood was already a stroke of luck amid misfortune.

"It's still that woman in white," Ye Chen said, standing in the void, providing the answer.

"If it weren't for the six paths, Hong Yan, and Ren Wang, Fang Xi would likely have been abducted." Dong Huang Tai Xin took a deep breath, acknowledging how close it had been. Who would have thought the woman in white would cause chaos during the demon invasion?

Unfortunately, all their schemes had ultimately come to nothing. They had overlooked the six paths and underestimated the female Sacred Body. With this fierce guardian, even if another came, they couldn't take Fang Xi.

"This one probably knows something," a quasi-emperor from Tian Xuan Men said, dragging Ren Wang over.

Ren Wang's recovery ability was impressive; his broken bones had already mended, though he was still unconscious, his body covered in messy bruises—all footprints.

Even so, Zi Xuan wanted to step forward and kick him a couple more times. As fellow remnant souls of great emperors, how could you be so shameless? So curious, so fond of peeking—why not just go home and get a wife!

When the quasi-emperors returned to Tian Xuan Men, Di Huang was already in the small bamboo grove, quietly gazing up at the vast sky.

It was worth mentioning that the red lip print on his face remained strikingly visible—who knew if he had forgotten to wipe it off or left it on purpose? From a distance, it looked particularly eye-catching.

Zi Xuan entered, her cheeks flushing slightly. She had completely restrained her earlier fierce demeanor, now keeping her head lowered and eyes downcast, her fingers tightly clasped, like a child who had made a mistake.

"Do you know about that woman in white, senior?" Tian Lao asked Di Huang, probing tentatively.

This question was on the minds of all the quasi-emperors, and they all turned to look.

"Zhu Xian Jian," Di Huang replied calmly.

At these words, the quasi-emperors were all shocked, and many glanced at Ye Chen. That day, he had clearly mentioned the spatial black hole—the damned Zhu Xian Jian had been destroyed by Di Huang.

Now, hearing about Zhu Xian Jian again, how could they not be startled?

"It sounds just like its style," Ye Chen said, his words icy cold. Though surprised, he wasn't overly shocked. He had felt this way for a while, though he couldn't be certain. He was puzzled about how Zhu Xian Jian had survived, evading Di Huang's gaze—its divine abilities were truly vast.

In an instant, a layer of gloom settled over the quasi-emperors' hearts.

The fact that Zhu Xian Jian was still alive was baffling and unsettling. Open attacks were easy to defend against, but hidden threats were not. The incident with the woman in white had proven that—it could even scheme against Di Huang, demonstrating its strangeness. And the fact that even a Great Accomplishment Sacred Body couldn't destroy it showed how terrifying it was.

It wasn't just them; Di Huang felt the same.

During those years, though he had been in slumber, he knew about the forbidden curse. For a Great Accomplishment Sacred Body to be schemed against by Zhu Xian Jian was truly humiliating. He couldn't fathom how it had stayed alive.

"Do you know where it is?" Di Huang gazed into the vast sky and uttered these words.

This was directed at Ming Di, assuming Ming Di could see and hear it.

"I don't know," Ming Di's response was only audible to Di Huang.

Di Huang said no more and did not leave, as if waiting for something.

What he was waiting for was, of course, Ren Wang to awaken.

There were things he didn't know, but Ren Wang did, such as that eight-character riddle. Ming Di couldn't solve it, Dao Zu couldn't solve it, but this all-knowing remnant soul of the Ren Huang surely could.

Even a weak fighter like him had his specialties.

Unfortunately, the quasi-emperors had stomped too viciously, thoroughly trampling Ren Wang's Yuan Shen.

Who knows, if Di Huang learned what Ren Wang had said earlier, he might also step forward for a kick—a kick from a Great Accomplishment Sacred Body could send this guy straight from the human realm to hell.

He was waiting, and so were the quasi-emperors.

Sheng Zun was leisurely carrying a wine flask, wandering through the bamboo grove; the heavens' sword gods had set up tea sets and were quietly brewing tea; Dong Huang Tai Xin and the other female quasi-emperors were each holding a small mirror, tidying their slightly disheveled hair.

As for Ye Chen, he was looking in another direction, able to peer through the vast sky to the immortal pool.

The immortal pool shimmered with waves, enveloped in misty rain, with the female Sacred Body sitting cross-legged within, bathed in dazzling immortal light and surrounded by various visions—it was like a dream. Even from afar, one could hear the sounds of the Great Dao, and the terrifying pressure made even the peak quasi-emperors feel suppressed.

As always, everything about her was impressive, except perhaps her chest being a bit small.

"What secrets are you hiding?" Ye Chen murmured softly.

To this day, he still didn't know Hong Yan's origins. If not for her activating her bloodline limit earlier, he wouldn't have realized that there were actually two types of ancient Sacred Bodies in the world, and he belonged to the second.

As for Hong Yan, she was likely connected to the first type but didn't fully belong to it, nor to the second. If forced to categorize, she was probably somewhere in between the two.

He didn't know when he finally withdrew his gaze, quietly speculating that Hong Yan's physical imperfections might be due to this reason—she needed the essence of the Sacred Body to fill in the gaps.

"She's awake," Fu Ya suddenly spoke.

This single word drew everyone's attention.

Ren Wang had sat up and was vigorously shaking his head, feeling as if he had just had a very long, nightmarish dream. In the dream, a group of people had been stomping on him, each more ruthless than the last. Now that he was awake, his whole body still ached.

Once he regained his senses, he probably realized that his shameless deeds had finally caught up to him—this was karma. The fact that he was still alive was nothing short of a miracle.

"What does 'heaven desolate, earth ancient, the other shore blooms' mean?" Di Huang asked leisurely.

"Ye Chen stays; everyone else, step aside for now," Ren Wang said, his head drooping.

Hey!

The quasi-emperors were furious. They had waited half the night for this—now you're giving us that line?

But angry as they were, no one dared to act out. Who would be foolish enough to provoke him? The next moment, they might be flung out of Tian Xuan Men. Di Huang might seem good-natured, but he had a violent streak.

"Let's go, let's go."

Sheng Zun led the way, cursing and grumbling as he carried his wine flask and staggered off.

The other quasi-emperors followed, their faces dark as they headed out.

"You, stay too," Ren Wang suddenly reached out and pulled someone from the crowd.
