Chapter 2332: The Dao's Contention for Supremacy

Bang! Boom! Bang!

The sounds of the battle echoed through the void, enveloped in visions of destruction that blinded the world's eyes.

Amidst the fray, one could see the Emperor's Dao bodies falling, each one struck down by Ye Chen into the misty void. They would explode among the stars, only to reform and charge back into the fight.

With each fall, the hearts of those watching trembled collectively.

Ye Chen, the Desolate Ancient Sacred Body, was truly awe-inspiring. Even facing sixty-four Emperors, he managed to knock them down. It wasn't that the Great Emperors were weak; it was simply that Ye Chen was terrifying.

He had become a madman, burning his life force without restraint and sacrificing the source of his Desolate Ancient Sacred Body. Each time his sacred form was shattered, he would forcefully reconstruct it, his brilliant Sacred Body blood staining the misty void, illuminating the ages like specks of starlight.

The sight moved the world, leaving everyone dumbfounded as if witnessing a war god battling across the eight directions. Even sixty-four Emperors struggled to defeat him, as one after another was blasted apart.

"The invincible Dao is also his invincible belief."

"The Dao heart endures, and the body shall not perish."

No sooner had the words been spoken than another figure plummeted from the void.

This time, it was Ye Chen. His blood-soaked sacred body continuously fractured as he fell, his form riddled with wounds beyond recognition, on the verge of utter destruction at any moment.

Boom!

With a thunderous crash, he slammed into a desolate ancient star, collapsing a towering mountain range. Every fragment of debris flying upwards was stained with his sacred blood.

Boom! Bang! Boom!

The sixty-four Emperors followed, their steps shaking the stars with a rumbling force. They did not enter the ancient star but stood in the void, positioning themselves around it in sixty-four directions.

In that instant, the sixty-four Emperors formed seals in unison.

Immediately, a barrier enveloped the ancient star—a barrier of annihilation at the Emperor's Dao level, formed by their combined power to refine Ye Chen.

Boom! Rumble!

The star began to disintegrate, its fragments turning to ash. Everything on the star—whether living beings, mountains, or rivers—was completely erased by the annihilating force.

Ye Chen was no exception.

The scene sent a chill down the world's spine; if he could not escape, he would be destroyed.

Such a sight had been witnessed before during Ye Chen's Saint King Tribulation, when he was surrounded by sixteen and trapped in a similar barrier. Back then, he had escaped through Dao evasion, but no one knew if he could do so now against sixty-four Emperors.

On the ancient star, Ye Chen staggered to his feet.

The star was crumbling inch by inch under the annihilating force, making it difficult to even stand. Emperor's Dao killing intent raged within him, hindering his sacred body's healing and threatening to devour his primordial spirit.

Yet his eyes remained calm, showing no fear in this life-or-death battle.

Once more, he transformed into the Dao, merging his entire being—source, bloodline, divine treasury, sacred body, and sacred blood—into the Chaos Dao. His form vanished, leaving only a faint golden light, condensed from the Dao itself, formless and without blood.

Boom!

As the star collapsed, he burst through the barrier of annihilation, soaring into the sky.

The sixty-four Emperors frowned in unison, whether from true emotion or heavenly influence, showing a hint of surprise at Ye Chen's Dao transformation.

In the same instant, they dispelled their Emperor's Dao seals and charged into the void.

Each Emperor turned into a streak of light, like Ye Chen, manifesting as their own Dao in various colors, painting the dim starlit expanse with vibrant hues.

Soon, the roaring sounds resumed, with no human forms visible—only sixty-five streaks of light darting through the void.

It was a clash between the Desolate Ancient Sacred Body and the Emperors, a supreme battle of Dao against Dao.

"If he had transformed into the Dao earlier, he wouldn't have fought so desperately."

"If it were that simple, that would be ideal."

"Transforming into the Dao is extremely dangerous. A single moment of carelessness can lead to destruction. He wouldn't use it unless absolutely necessary. Even if he wins against the Emperor's Dao, there's still a risk of perishing."

"In essence, it's a path of no return."

The Little Ape Emperor coughed and scratched his monkey fur, turning his gaze back to the void.

By now, the sixty-five lights had evolved further, each taking the form of a dragon—the external manifestation of their Dao. Sixty-five divine dragons twisted in combat, sweeping from the eastern star skies to the northern star domains, then to the western star vaults, and finally to the southern star heavens. The battle of Dao upended the cosmos and disrupted yin and yang.

As they had said, Ye Chen's Dao transformation was difficult to control. The Dao's power was overwhelming, teetering on the edge of collapse. Surpass that limit, and all would turn to dust, souls returning to the heavens.

What sustained him was his unyielding belief: to defy the heavens.

This belief allowed his Dao to regroup amidst the chaos. The golden divine dragon radiated its brightest glory, each illusory scale gleaming with golden light.

His state of mind was evolving within the Dao, a process of nirvana.

Roar! Roar! Roar!

The mighty dragon roars spread across the eight directions. The clash of Dao wove together the sounds of the Great Dao, causing all who heard it to tremble with Dao principles and fall into a wondrous realm.

In those moments, countless people achieved breakthroughs.

It was a stroke of fortune—the world's creation from Ye Chen's heavenly tribulation. Listening to the sounds of the Great Dao brought instant enlightenment, revealing the true essence of the Dao and allowing breakthroughs on the spot.

Ye Chen's nirvana was nearing completion.

Upon closer inspection, the sixty-four dragons of the Emperors' Dao were dimming in the fight.

In contrast, Ye Chen's Dao dragon grew more radiant—or more precisely, he was devouring the Emperors' Dao, strand by strand, merging it into his Chaos Dao.

"He's won."

"He's won."

The two supreme beings smiled—Nether Emperor and Emperor Huang. With the ability to devour the Emperors' Dao, this heavenly tribulation was decided. Ye Chen would achieve nirvana and overcome the ordeal; it was only a matter of time. This outcome had been anticipated from the start.

Their assessment was accurate: the Emperors' Dao weakened while Ye Chen's strengthened. His single Dao overshadowed the sixty-four, dominating the battle of Dao.

The world breathed a slight sigh of relief. The tenth emperor of Great Chu had passed the most difficult phase; even sixty-four Emperors could not halt his rise.

At some point, the rumbling of the stars and the mighty dragon roars began to fade.

In the shattered void, the Dao dragons were gone. Ye Chen and the sixty-four Emperors had reverted to human form.

Compared to Ye Chen's flesh-and-blood body, the sixty-four Emperors were now ethereal, like flickering primordial spirits swaying in the star winds. They stood in their sixty-four positions, no longer attacking, simply waiting as the laws around their forms dissipated.

Their figures grew more insubstantial by the moment.

The Emperors' eyes were filled with contentment, each offering Ye Chen a warm, ancient smile. They had not expected the later eras to produce such a monstrous prodigy, who single-handedly battled sixty-four Emperors and broke through against the heavens.

Ye Chen staggered but steadied himself, bowing respectfully to the sixty-four Emperors. Regardless of grudges, they were his predecessors, and as their junior, he showed due respect.

The Emperors said nothing, only smiling gently and with the weight of ages, before fading away bit by bit into the winds of time, leaving behind mere shadows of their ancient backs.
