Buzz!
Under everyone's watchful eyes, the Bai Yu Long Yi hummed and then fell silent. The Nü Shengti, on the other hand, showed no resistance, allowing her to sit there.
"Clearly not," Tian Lao said leisurely.
Donghuang Taiyi remained silent, her eyes flickering with uncertainty. Ever since that day, she had been fixated, wanting to bring any extraordinary woman to test the dragon chair.
"How about we make a deal?" The Nü Shengti climbed down from the dragon chair and approached Ye Chen, propping herself up with her small hands to try and flip him over.
"Fellow Daoist, please speak," Donghuang Taiyi said calmly.
"Help me with one thing, and I'll tell you who the owner of the dragon chair is." As the Nü Shengti spoke, she continued struggling to turn Ye Chen over, her little face red with effort. The onlookers wore strange expressions, unsure what she intended to do to Ye Chen, who was lying there peacefully—why did she insist on flipping him?
"You know who the owner of the dragon chair is?" Xie Mo frowned slightly.
"You, flip him over." The Nü Shengti didn't answer and pointed at Di Lao.
Di Lao was puzzled but still reached out and turned the prone Ye Chen over.
"Of course I know." The Nü Shengti finally continued her earlier statement and, as she spoke, kicked at Ye Chen's face. Though she was small and short, she kicked with all her might, using every ounce of strength.
At the sight, everyone collectively twitched their mouths, now understanding why the Nü Shengti had to flip Ye Chen over—it was to make it easier to kick his face! With it facing up, it was perfect for kicking.
She must hold a grudge!
Ye Chen must have been beaten badly!
The expressions of the Quasi-Emperors all became meaningfully profound, but none of them intervened. Let her kick a couple of times! Ye Chen was an Archaic Holy Body—tough and resilient—and besides, the Nü Shengti had no cultivation; she was just an ordinary little girl, like a tickle at most.
"Who is the owner of the dragon chair?" Donghuang Taiyi asked, ignoring Ye Chen and staring straight at the Nü Shengti.
"Help me with that matter, and I'll tell you," the Nü Shengti replied, not stopping her kicks and continuing to aim at Ye Chen's face.
"But we don't know what you mean by that matter," Yue Huang said softly.
"Refine all the Zaohua power from the Zaohua Shenwang and fuse it into my body—that's it." The Nü Shengti finally stopped, wiping the sweat from her little face and smiling at everyone.
The Quasi-Emperors furrowed their brows, but no one responded.
Donghuang Taiyi's gaze was the deepest. Regarding the Zaohua Shenwang, the Nü Shengti had mentioned it to her back when she arrived—it was essentially a deal, though Donghuang Taiyi hadn't agreed at the time.
Unexpectedly, the Nü Shengti brought it up again today. What she truly wanted was the Zaohua divine power of the Zaohua Shenwang, and not just a bit—all of it.
Donghuang Taiyi didn't know why the Nü Shengti needed the Zaohua power, but she couldn't easily agree to this condition. Refining all the Zaohua power would be no different from killing the Zaohua Shenwang.
"For a vague answer, to disregard the life of Zaohua—my Tian Xuan Gate cannot do that," Xi Chen said lightly.
"Then I can't help you," the Nü Shengti shrugged.
"If this were my child, I'd spank her until she cried," Tian Lao said with a straight face.
"I really want to feed her a pack of our special products," Di Lao added.
Tian Lao and Di Lao looked grim. If not for the Nü Shengti being a little girl, they would have already stepped in to spank her. She had lost all her cultivation and turned into a child, yet she still acted so boldly—didn't she know how fierce the people of Da Chu were? If she pushed them too far, they'd really make her eat their special products.
The Quasi-Emperors' expressions grew even more meaningful, their curiosity about the Nü Shengti's origins deepening. They didn't even know from which era she came, but from her demeanor, she wasn't joking—she really knew who the owner of the dragon chair was, but she just wouldn't tell them.
As they spoke, Ye Chen woke up, his head buzzing, especially his face, which burned with pain. His little brother down there also felt off, as if some jerk had kicked it a couple of times, leaving it limp.
Once he regained his senses, his face darkened completely, a surge of anger rising in him. He had made contributions to Da Chu, after all— was this how they treated a hero?
Glancing at the Quasi-Emperors, they all seemed composed: Donghuang Taiyi, Xie Mo, and Yue Huang had taken out small mirrors and were fixing their hair; Sheng Zun and Xi Chen were looking up at the bright moon; Tian Lao and Di Lao were each holding an ancient book, like diligent students.
Beating you up? That's just how it is—no way around it, that's our Da Chu style.
Even the Nü Shengti was quite sensible, standing on tiptoe to pick fruits from the tree, apparently still hungry and wanting some dessert after her meal.
Ye Chen stood up, clutching his waist, and limped along, scanning everyone present one by one. He memorized each of their faces—when his Holy Body reached great completion, he'd have a chat with them about ideals. He held grudges, so they should all watch out.
"She knows who the owner of the dragon chair is." Donghuang Taiyi sent a divine sense message to Ye Chen to divert his attention.
It worked—Ye Chen raised an eyebrow and looked toward the Nü Shengti. The little girl had a huge appetite, sitting under the fruit tree with a spirit fruit in her arms, munching away happily.
"This tough task is up to you." Donghuang Taiyi gave him a charming look.
"No problem." Ye Chen collected the dragon chair and treasures, picked up the Nü Shengti with one hand, and limped out of the bamboo grove.
In everyone's eyes, his retreating figure looked imposing—daring to carry a nearly fully accomplished Nü Shengti like that, no one else in the heavens could do it.
The Nü Shengti was well-behaved, neither crying nor fussing—or perhaps she was used to it by now. With a big heart, she kept munching on her spirit fruit even while being carried.
"I have confidence in him," Tian Lao said with a chuckle.
No sooner had he spoken than he felt a cool breeze below, and his undergarments flew off.
Not just him—Di Lao, Sheng Zun, Xi Chen, and all the male Quasi-Emperors suddenly felt a chill down there, their undergarments inexplicably flying away.
The female Quasi-Emperors weren't spared either.
In other words, except for the demonic beings, including Donghuang Taiyi and Yue Huang, all the female Quasi-Emperors had their undergarments mysteriously float away.
Looking up, the scene in the bamboo grove was quite a sight—undergarments of all colors flying everywhere, leaving Xie Mo dazzled.
"Ye Chen!" Curses echoed through the heavens, shaking the Tian Xuan Gate.
"How clever I am." Ye Chen smirked, already far away, darting like wind and thunder. That was his handiwork—dare to beat him up? They'd get a taste of it too.
It had to be said, the Emperor Dao Separation the Nü Shengti taught him was effective.
As an emperor, he still gave them some face—if he hadn't held back, it wouldn't just be undergarments flying; it would be their entire outfits.
Imagine the Quasi-Emperors stark naked—that would be quite the spectacle.
"Why doesn't it work on Xie Mo?" Ye Chen stroked his chin. When he tried Emperor Dao Separation on Xie Mo, it was countered by some mysterious force, and he still didn't know what it was.
Precisely because Xie Mo was unaffected, she became the center of attention among the Quasi-Emperors—undergarments flying here, undergarments flying there, but why was she fine?
Xie Mo's laugh was seductive. Did he really think a primordial-level great god was just for show?
Her laugh also carried a hint of schadenfreude—Ye Chen had done well; without him, she wouldn't have seen this historic scene.
On the other side, Ye Chen had arrived at Heng Yue.
Dawn was approaching, and Heng Yue was quiet, with most still in seclusion. But on Jade Lady Peak, the children's laughter was crisp and clear.
Little Ye Fan and Little Yang Lan were as energetic as ever, running out to play before it was fully light.
Besides them, there was Liu Ruyan, a devoted mother, busy at the stove preparing breakfast for the two little ones, while the other women were still in seclusion.
Ye Chen descended from the sky, full of energy, still carrying the Nü Shengti.
The two little ones looked up, toddling over curiously to examine the Nü Shengti, seeing her as a potential playmate since they were all around two or three years old.
"Who's this child?" Liu Ruyan was intrigued and stepped over without finishing her vegetables, her maternal instincts kicking in. She even pinched the Nü Shengti's little face—hmm, it felt nice.
The Nü Shengti's face was frosty. I'm a Holy Body, a nearly fully accomplished female Holy Body— you little girl, how dare you pinch my face? And you two kids, why are you looking at me like that? Am I a monkey?
"Cute, isn't she?" Ye Chen dangled the Nü Shengti, grinning lecherously.
"Philandering radish." Liu Ruyan glanced at him, assuming this was another of Ye Chen's children. As for the mother, only Ye Chen would know.
"Don't mess around; she's not my child." Ye Chen coughed, grabbed a cucumber from the stove, and peered through the window gaps into each room one by one.
This behavior was just like a leader inspecting work.
He never put the Nü Shengti down the whole time.
The Nü Shengti's little face had gone from frosty to covered in black lines. You're wandering around—can you put me down first?
No!
Ye Chen seemed to read her thoughts and replied earnestly—he enjoyed carrying her everywhere, even to pee.
Liu Ruyan was quite amusing, following Ye Chen wherever he went, staring at the Nü Shengti.
The legendary husband-and-wife harmony—that was them.
Oh my!
At some point, Liu Ruyan exclaimed, covering her mouth in disbelief as she looked at the Nü Shengti. From her expression, she seemed to have realized who this little girl was—it was the Nü Shengti, wasn't it?
"You must have seen her before," Ye Chen said, biting into the cucumber.
"Yes, I've seen her." Liu Ruyan swallowed hard, still staring at the Nü Shengti, her heart pounding. How had she become young again? How had she lost all her cultivation?
"What rank would she fit in our family based on her size?"
"Well, wherever she fits in the order of your wives, that's her rank!"
"That ranking would hurt feelings." Ye Chen sighed deeply, speaking earnestly. He wondered if he should research a pill to enhance certain features—otherwise, a nearly fully accomplished Nü Shengti at the bottom of the list would cause chaos.
The Nü Shengti's face looked awful, her plump little cheeks flushed red, her clear eyes blazing with fire. If looks could kill, Ye Chen would have died and reincarnated a hundred times over.
Breakfast that day was cozy, even with few people.
On the east side of the table sat the three little ones in a neat row, eating on their own without needing help, especially the Nü Shengti with her massive appetite.
On the west side sat Ye Chen and Liu Ruyan, not eating but resting their chins on their hands, watching the little ones with delight.
"You really are lawless," Liu Ruyan transmitted. "Carrying a Nü Shengti like this—aren't you afraid she'll regain her powers and wipe you out?"
"We have Da Chu's special products," Ye Chen laughed.
"Shameless." Liu Ruyan scolded, stood up, and left. With Ye Chen back, she needed to continue her seclusion—the upcoming war would be brutal, and she couldn't hold anyone back.
After the meal, Ye Fan and Yang Lan ran off again, trying to drag the Nü Shengti along to play—clearly, that wasn't happening.
Ye Chen burped contentedly and carried the Nü Shengti away, heading to Long Wu Peak to check on the Eternal Body, which still showed no signs of recovering its memories.
Then, like a tourist, he carried the Nü Shengti from the inner sect to the outer sect, visiting peak after peak. The usually bustling Heng Yue Sect was eerily empty, with everyone in seclusion.
The Nü Shengti was utterly despondent. You're sightseeing— what's it got to do with me? Why do you have to carry me?
Ye Chen ignored it, strolling casually into the back mountain and finding a secluded spot.
Then, Ye Chen lifted his robe and pulled out his little brother to water the flowers. Worth noting, his little brother was impressively robust.
"Ye Chen!" After a long while, the Nü Shengti freaked out again. Though she closed her eyes, her little arms and legs flailed wildly. She had underestimated Ye Chen's shamelessness—it was on another level.
"Don't sweat the small stuff." Ye Chen was thick-skinned, handling both with one hand on his little brother and one on the Nü Shengti, multitasking perfectly.
As the Tenth Emperor of Da Chu, he kept his word—carrying her everywhere, even while peeing.
A gentleman’s word is his bond, and his actions perfectly illustrated that.
The two great lords of the underworld stood silently, watching with twitching lips, at a loss for words to describe Ye Chen's integrity.
Carrying the Nü Shengti to pee—you actually did it.
As they watched, Ye Chen shivered after finishing, his face full of satisfaction—it was unclear if it was from peeing or from carrying the Nü Shengti while doing so, but he was definitely pleased.
Home!
The guy turned around cheerfully, but his step staggered slightly.
In that instant, he felt a brief daze, as if a pair of murky eyes in the void were staring at him, the twisted face etched with ferocity, grinning maliciously with an supreme demonic power that made even his mind falter.
Too tired?
Ye Chen shook his head and stepped out of the back mountain.
But he didn't notice that the Nü Shengti had opened her eyes, furrowing her brow as she stared at him. That fleeting moment of his daze and distraction hadn't escaped her notice—her cultivation might be gone, but her insight remained.
