Chapter 2167: Heavenly Demon Egg

Chapter 2167: Tianmo Dan

In the early morning, the sunlight was bright and pleasant. Da Chu's tenth emperor, clutching his sore back, limped along the street. His hair was disheveled, his face bruised and swollen with black eyes like a panda's, drawing curious stares from passersby. Their expressions were odd, as if to say: Did he fail at something and get beaten for it?

Ye Chen walked in silence, still not understanding why he had been beaten. Beside him, Nu Sheng Ti was also there, sparks of anger lingering in her eyes. From time to time, she glanced down at her own jade peak—it was quite full and upright, after all.

Ye Chen wiped away a trickle of nosebleed, his face darkened with frustration. Whenever this happened, he mentally cursed through Nu Sheng Ti's ancestors, one by one, from the eighteenth generation back. Nu Sheng Ti could hear these thoughts clearly, but she didn't get angry at all. As long as he didn't call her chest small, he could say whatever he wanted—even if he threatened to dig up her family's ancestral graves, she wouldn't bat an eye.

One couldn't help but wonder what expression Ye Chen would have if he could hear her thoughts in return. For the sake of her chest, she was willing to disown her ancestors entirely. What a character she was.

"Holy Lord." As they walked, Ci Hun approached from the front. Seeing Ye Chen in such a sorry state, he was stunned. They hadn't seen each other just last night—how had he ended up so battered?

"Don't go far from home for a while." Ye Chen clutched his back and waved a hand.

"Understood."

"That's it... hmm?" Ye Chen's words trailed off as he suddenly looked up, his eyes narrowing slightly. He could peer through the haze and see straight into the space black hole. Inside, a streak of dark light flashed by, moving as fast as lightning.

Upon closer inspection, it was an egg—a pitch-black egg, about two zhang in size, emitting a demonic glow and surrounded by an aura of fiendish magic.

A cold glint flashed in Ye Chen's eyes, and with one step, he soared into the sky.

Ci Hun looked puzzled, not understanding why Ye Chen was acting this way. Nu Sheng Ti, however, followed gracefully and unhurriedly. Along the way, she glanced at the black hole more than once—Ye Chen could see through it, and so could she.

In the vast void, Ye Chen sped along like wind and thunder, his brilliant golden eyes fixed on the space black hole and the demonic black egg within.

This was no ordinary egg—it was a tianmo. Back during the Grand Heavenly Court Competition, the Hei Zhan Mo Jun under the Tianmo Da Di had descended in egg form to Nan Chu. But it couldn't escape the scrutiny of the Tai Gu Xing Tian Tu and was ganged up on and killed in less than three seconds of showing off.

Along with the Hei Zhan Mo Jun, another one, the Zi Xiao Mo Jun, had also arrived in egg form, but in Bei Chu. It had colluded with the Xue Sha Dian to cause chaos, though in the end, it too was destroyed.

Now, the egg streaking through the black hole was identical to those two from back then, meaning a tianmo was hidden inside it.

Buzz!

The tianmo egg flew through the black hole like a dark beam, while Ye Chen chased it like a ray of immortal light from outside. He couldn't enter the black hole, so all he could do was follow. Maybe the tianmo egg would have a change of heart and come out on its own.

"Another source of Wu Tian Mo Qi—how is it surviving?" Ye Chen furrowed his brows slightly, pondering as he chased.

In the black hole, he had encountered tianmo more than once before. Normally, without the Qing Tian Mo Zhu as a foundation, tianmo couldn't survive. Seeing this tianmo black egg now made him believe Donghuang Tai Xin's words: Even without the Qing Tian Mo Zhu, tianmo could still live on, supported by some heaven-defying secret technique.

As he spoke, the tianmo egg suddenly accelerated, heading who knew where.

Ye Chen's vital energy surged, enhanced by his broken emperor weapon, making his movements even more elusive. He crossed vast rivers, mountains, and ancient cities, relentlessly pursuing the tianmo egg.

Behind him, Nu Sheng Ti caught up as well. She moved with the same leisurely grace, as if it were none of her concern, strolling like she was in a garden. With a small mirror in hand, she even managed to fix her hair while chasing.

"Can you pull it out?" Ye Chen glanced sideways.

"Do you really think I'm all-powerful?" Nu Sheng Ti replied indifferently.

Ye Chen pursed his lips and continued shrinking the ground to inches as he ran.

This chase lasted an entire day.

It wasn't until nightfall that Ye Chen stopped in midair above a mountain range. The tianmo egg in the black hole had halted as well, seemingly preparing to emerge for some air.

Seeing this, Ye Chen concealed himself in the void, gripping his broken emperor sword. He waited for the tianmo egg to exit the black hole, ready to strike with thunderous force in one blow.

His confidence was sky-high. After all, hidden in the void with him was Nu Sheng Ti, a female holy body infinitely close to great accomplishment. Not to mention a mere demon lord—even if the emperor of the Tianmo Domain arrived, they could face it head-on. With such a powerhouse by his side, what was there to fear?

Sure enough, after lingering for just three to five breaths, the tianmo egg emerged from the black hole with a bang, crashing into the mountains and obliterating a peak.

Upon its arrival, the flowers, plants, and vegetation in the mountains withered visibly, turning a once-beautiful landscape into barren wasteland. Not a trace of life energy remained.

Ye Chen's eyes flickered with uncertainty as he watched, puzzled. Why did all these eggs come from black holes? Could they enter and exit at will?

Crack!

The black egg split open, and a monster stepped out, stretching its limbs contentedly. It was called a monster because of its terrifying appearance: three heads and six arms, each head topped with a horn that gleamed coldly under the starlight. Its eyes were menacing—six massive ones, blood-red as if dripping, rolling about in a way that sent chills down the spine.

He was indeed a demon lord, one under the Can Ye Mo Di, known as Can E Mo Jun. He was likely an advance scout, but something had gone wrong en route, leading to the Can Ye Mo Di's destruction before he arrived in the heavens.

"What a wonderful aura." Can E Mo Jun licked his blood-red tongue, greedily inhaling with delight and amusement.

No sooner had he spoken than his expression changed drastically. Without a second thought, he retreated swiftly.

But he was too slow. Ye Chen burst out suddenly and severed one of his heads, spraying dark, stinging blood.

"Who? Get out here!" Can E Mo Jun roared in fury, swatting at the void. Though he had lost a head, he still had two left, his faces twisted in grotesque rage.

He had finally come to the heavens, only to nearly get killed right after emerging—how could he not be angry?

Boom!

The void collapsed, forcing Ye Chen out. In the process, he sliced off two more of Can E Mo Jun's arms. Ye Chen had underestimated this demon lord's perception—it was incredibly sharp. Otherwise, he would have finished him off already.

In an instant, Can E Mo Jun had retreated a hundred zhang, regenerating his severed head and arms. Only then did he clearly see his attacker: just a minor great saint, though wielding a broken emperor weapon.

The demon lord sneered, demonic light erupting from his body as he summoned six magic weapons—one in each hand—all peak quasi-emperor level artifacts, clearly a set.

"What's the holdup? Slap him down." Ye Chen ignored him and sent a mental message to Nu Sheng Ti. If she struck, even a peak quasi-emperor would kneel.

But Nu Sheng Ti acted as if she hadn't heard, standing there steadily and continuing to tend to her hair with great focus.

Ye Chen's mouth twitched. Her lack of cooperation was infuriating—serves you right for having a small chest.

"Die!" Can E Mo Jun charged, his face ferocious, six massive blood eyes shooting thunderous beams aimed straight at Ye Chen's primordial spirit.

Ye Chen snorted coldly, blocking with his Shen Long Dun and countering with a peerless sword strike that sent Can E Mo Jun flying.

The demon lord had no idea how formidable Ye Chen was. In a single exchange, he was hurled back, his massive demonic body crashing through over a dozen mountains before he steadied himself.

"A friend from afar... let's finish him." Ye Chen advanced step by step, his broken emperor weapon dripping blood. Though his words were playful, they were laced with icy killing intent. His combat power had instantly peaked, golden hair flying, his sacred body glowing like molten gold, intertwined with dazzling principles of the Dao.

"You've got me underestimating you." Can E Mo Jun gritted his teeth, steadying his stance. All three mouths opened wide, spewing black demonic mist that merged into a vast demonic sea, surging toward Ye Chen with overwhelming fiendish energy.

Boom! Bang!

The demonic sea was so heavy that even the barren peaks below crumbled under its weight. But Ye Chen was undaunted, summoning his golden divine sea to block it. In a flash, he closed in on the demon lord. Before drawing his sword, he unleashed the Jiu Dao Shen Fa first, targeting the primordial spirit with devastating force.

To his surprise, the demon lord withstood the Jiu Dao Shen Fa unscathed, his three massive heads shrouded in demonic light.

Ye Chen raised an eyebrow, quickly realizing the truth: The demon lord's divine sea held a secret artifact fused with it, similar to his Shen Long Dun. The Jiu Dao Shen Fa hadn't breached the artifact's defense, so they couldn't harm him.

Tianmo had bloodlines, and with bloodlines came divine treasuries—not unlike the Shen Long Dun. Can E Mo Jun was a prime example.

Demonic energy raged as Can E Mo Jun attacked, thrusting a finger of divine light toward Ye Chen's forehead. Ye Chen dodged instantly, and soon, a mighty dragon's roar echoed as the Ba Tian Shen Long appeared.

Pfft!

Can E Mo Jun collided head-on, getting smacked squarely by a domineering dragon tail swing and sent flying, his powerful demonic body nearly bursting.

"Go after the other one. Leave him to me." Before Ye Chen could press the attack, Nu Sheng Ti's voice reached his ear.

"The other one?" Ye Chen raised an eyebrow and looked toward the black hole.

At this glance, he was taken aback—there was another tianmo egg, streaking through the black hole like a dark beam. Of course, these eggs always came in pairs.

Without hesitation, Ye Chen set off, locking onto the tianmo egg in the black hole and speeding after it.

"Kill!"

From afar, Can E Mo Jun charged back, activating a domineering forbidden technique that boosted his combat power to the extreme. His body was covered in demonic patterns, exuding violent, bloodthirsty energy that swept across the heavens and earth, intent on slaughtering Ye Chen to vent his rage.

Nu Sheng Ti stepped lightly from the void.

Seeing Ye Chen gone and Nu Sheng Ti appearing, Can E Mo Jun froze, realizing there was a even more terrifying presence hidden nearby.

Nu Sheng Ti said nothing. She didn't attack but simply waved her sleeve, leaving a jade slip hovering in the air, then vanished in an instant.

This scene left not only Can E Mo Jun stunned but also Ming Di and Di Huang, who were observing from afar—they were equally baffled. Encountering a tianmo and not killing it—what was the meaning of this?

Ming Di and Di Huang exchanged glances, both seeing the same thought in each other's eyes: Was she one of the tianmo's people?

Back in the mountains, Can E Mo Jun paused for a second, then crushed the jade slip Nu Sheng Ti had left. Inside was a sealed divine sense that drifted into his own divine sea.

A few seconds later, he laughed, donned a black robe, and disappeared into the night.
