Chapter 2159: I Really Have Something To Do

Chapter 2159: I Really Have Matters

Ye Chen's tone carried a hint of plea, and his eyes were full of hope.

Di Huang had once said that only the Ancient Sacred Body could communicate with him. Ye Chen was indeed a Sacred Body, but his cultivation was not strong enough to shake that mountain of an emperor. However, the Female Sacred Body was different; she was a great divine being. Although her cultivation had not reached the peak of Quasi-Emperor perfection, it surpassed the Quasi-Emperor pinnacle, meaning she was just half a step away from becoming a Great Accomplishment Sacred Body. If she performed the technique, she would surely be able to communicate with Di Huang.

Ye Chen's hope was the same as Di Huang's, as well as that of Dao Zu and Ming Di—they all shared this desire. This was because the fragile heavens were in desperate need of a supreme-level guardian. Di Huang was undoubtedly the best choice. Back then, he could fight five emperors alone, and he could do the same today. He could suppress any chaos in the Honghuang or fend off invasions from the heavenly demons, making the three realms as solid as a fortress.

"My, why should I help you?"

The Female Sacred Body chuckled eerily, her voice demonic and desolate.

"We're both Sacred Bodies, so lend a hand!"

Ye Chen tried to get closer again.

"Helping you is not out of the question, but tell me the entrance to the Taigu Honghuang."

The Female Sacred Body's words were ethereal, clear and distant, yet also cang sang and ancient, making one's mind feel dazed.

Ye Chen couldn't help but rub his brow. Heaven and earth could bear witness—he truly didn't know. He also didn't understand why the Female Sacred Body was so certain that he knew, or what basis she had for it. Who the hell had spread that rumor?

The night remained as quiet as ever.

The Female Sacred Body, clad in a black robe, drifted like a ghost through the Huo Yu, as if searching for something. She drifted along, all the while carrying Ye Chen and never letting go. Given Ye Chen's nature, it was safer to keep him in hand to prevent him from slipping away unnoticed.

Ye Chen was anxious beyond words! He had come to the Huo Yu to find reincarnated souls, but being dragged around like this was just wasting time. He had plenty of time to spend, yet it was being squandered.

It wasn't until the third day that the Female Sacred Body finally stopped and descended into a dark abyss.

This abyss was as pitch-black as a black hole, with fierce winds howling through it. Those who knew would recognize it as a deep chasm, but those who didn't might think it was the Jiu You Hell. Even someone as robust and yang-aligned as the Ancient Sacred Body couldn't help but shiver. This coldness ignored the flesh and bloodline, going straight for the primordial spirit.

Upon reaching the bottom of the abyss, they discovered an inner world.

It was a scorched wasteland, half-buried bones scattered everywhere, remnants from some unknown era. Deeper in, they could see collapsed palaces, worn down by the passage of time.

After three days, Ye Chen was finally set down. He said in astonishment,

"This place is what?"

The Female Sacred Body remained silent, her serene eyes showing no emotional fluctuations.

Finding it uninteresting, Ye Chen summoned an illuminating pearl and walked around, observing as he went. He felt that this scorched land hid some ancient secrets; otherwise, the Female Sacred Body wouldn't value it so highly.

Buzz!

As he walked, the Chaos Cauldron suddenly buzzed without being summoned, flying out on its own like a wisp of ethereal light, heading straight into the depths. From its buzzing, it seemed quite excited.

As its owner, Ye Chen could sense this excitement and followed it all the way.

The cauldron and Ye Chen delved deep, stopping at an ancient altar.

The altar was enormous, spanning several thousand zhang in radius, with many parts collapsed and covered in dust from the ages. On it stood four copper pillars: one tilted, engraved with Qing Long divine patterns; one upright, engraved with Bai Hu divine patterns; and the other two fallen, one with Zhu Que divine patterns and the other with Xuan Wu divine patterns. These totems of the four divine beasts highlighted the altar's extraordinary nature.

Buzz! Buzz!

The Chaos Cauldron vibrated intensely, hovering above the altar—or more precisely, circling the four copper pillars, darting around as if to say: They're all treasures.

Ye Chen didn't need the reminder; the moment he saw them, he recognized their value.

These four copper pillars were forged from divine iron. Such heavy divine iron would make anyone's eyes light up, even his. If melted down, it could be used to cast divine weapons.

The Chaos Cauldron acted on its own, transforming into a massive form thousands of zhang wide and swallowing them all in one go.

Afterward, the cauldron settled down and flew back into Ye Chen's sea of consciousness, buzzing contentedly. It had eaten its fill and needed to digest properly to evolve.

Ye Chen watched and secretly swallowed, wishing he could take a bite himself.

Sensing the place's significance, Ye Chen didn't linger. With the illuminating pearl above his head, he continued deeper, hoping to find more treasures. He explored several collapsed palaces but found nothing useful except for the four copper pillars the Chaos Cauldron had devoured.

With no other choice, he turned back. When he returned, the Female Sacred Body was already sitting cross-legged.

This woman was peculiar, just sitting there silently without a word.

Ye Chen approached and coughed lightly.

"I say, senior, what exactly is this place?"

"The entrance to the Taigu Honghuang."

The Female Sacred Body replied indifferently.

"This..." Ye Chen scratched his head and subconsciously looked around.

Could this be the entrance to the Taigu Honghuang? It didn't look like it at all—dark and gloomy, eerie and terrifying. Someone unfamiliar with the directions could easily get lost. He wouldn't believe it even if told; in his imagination, the entrance to the Taigu Honghuang had to be grand and impressive, at least with a glowing massive gate standing tall.

Clearly, this was completely different from what he had pictured.

Ye Chen withdrew his gaze from around him and squatted in front of the Female Sacred Body, full of doubts.

"Senior, if you already know the entrance to the Taigu Honghuang, why ask me?"

"This place is merely a former entrance."

The Female Sacred Body spoke softly.

"Then how many entrances are there exactly?"

Ye Chen grew interested and simply sat down cross-legged, looking eager to learn, as if ready to chat with the Female Sacred Body until the end of time.

"Each era has different entrances."

"Then what exactly is the Taigu Honghuang?"

Ye Chen asked curiously.

"You don't qualify to know."

The Female Sacred Body said, then gently closed her eyes.

Ye Chen chuckled dryly and shifted a bit to the side. This woman had such high presence; being too close made his eyes hurt. He was just a small fry and should stay in the corner.

This dark world fell into silence with the Female Sacred Body's eyes closed.

Ye Chen rested his chin in his hands, bored out of his mind. He thought about escaping but knew he didn't have the strength. The Female Sacred Body could crush him with a finger or turn him to ash with a slap. It wasn't an exaggeration—if he tried to run even a step, he'd be done for in the next instant.

And so, three to five days passed quietly.

During this time, the Female Sacred Body didn't move at all, leaving Ye Chen anxious and puzzled. Since this place was no longer the entrance to the Taigu Honghuang, what was the point of sitting here? Could the entrance somehow return to this spot?

It wasn't until the ninth day that the Female Sacred Body opened her eyes.

Without a word, she picked up Ye Chen and left.

Then, she actually crossed into another domain.

In the following days, the Female Sacred Body seemed to have unlocked some ability, darting back and forth across various domains, leaving Ye Chen staring in awe. He had truly underestimated her; not yet at Great Accomplishment level, yet she ignored domain barriers. Being carried along, he got quite an eye-opening experience, seeing the sights of each domain.

Just as the Female Sacred Body had said, there were indeed many entrances to the Taigu Honghuang.

For example, in Gui Yu, Xiu Luo Yu, and Lei Yu, there were entrances, but they were all former ones. Moreover, at each place, the Female Sacred Body would stay for several days, so after a few months, Ye Chen had no chance to search for reincarnated souls.

One quiet night, the Female Sacred Body returned to the Huo Yu and entered the dark abyss again.

"Senior, I really have matters to attend to. Could you let me go out for a few days?"

Ye Chen sat on the ground, looking dejected, doodling circles with a stick.

"When you remember the entrance, that's when I'll let you go."

The Female Sacred Body chuckled eerily.

Ye Chen clutched his chest, feeling a pang of pain. He didn't even know where the Taigu Honghuang was or what it was; how could he know the entrance? Yet the Female Sacred Body didn't believe him, no matter how he explained, and refused to let him leave.

On top of that, she kept dragging him around every few days, running across domains.

Suddenly, a trace of fresh blood appeared at the corner of his mouth as the heavenly demon origin acted up.

Ye Chen looked up at the Female Sacred Body.

"Can you remove this heavenly demon origin in me?"

"Tell me the entrance, and everything will be negotiable."

The Female Sacred Body smiled and closed her eyes.

Ye Chen's face turned completely dark. Entrance, entrance—you're fixated on that, aren't you? Just wait until the day I'm stronger than you; I'll make you eat a couple of pounds of Da Chu specialties.

He cursed in his mind, but Ye Chen, the young master, still had to play it safe and harmless.

The dark underground fell silent again. The Female Sacred Body sat cross-legged with her eyes closed, while Ye Chen rested his chin in his hands, staring straight at her with round eyes.

This woman might have a poor temperament, but she was quite beautiful, and her figure was impeccable. Roughly estimating her measurements, she was definitely top-tier among women.

"Someone this fierce—who could ever handle her?"

Ye Chen muttered to himself.

A half-step Great Accomplishment Female Sacred Body—unless it was a Great Emperor, who would dare to marry her?

For someone as ruthless as the Female Sacred Body, you needed to reach the emperor level just to think about it. Even if you married her home, you'd have to treat her like a treasure. Try to get her into bed, and you'd better be prepared to end up half-disabled.

This was the Great Chu Emperor, bored out of his mind, not focusing on cultivation but instead studying the Female Sacred Body's measurements and worrying about her lifelong affairs.

Suddenly, a layer of immortal light enveloped the Female Sacred Body's body.

Ye Chen rubbed his eyes, blinded by the glare.

"How about I take off my clothes and let you get a good look?"

The Female Sacred Body's voice was eerie, though she didn't open her eyes, her words carried an irresistible demonic power.

"No need, it's too bright."

Ye Chen was still rubbing his eyes.

The Female Sacred Body's lips curved slightly, and she returned to a state of feigned sleep.

Ye Chen felt awkward. In front of the Female Sacred Body, his Reincarnation Eye was useless, like a mere decoration. The absolute suppression of realms made even the strongest immortal eyes ineffective.

In the end, the Great Chu's tenth emperor quieted down and lay down to snore away.

He was asleep, but the Female Sacred Body opened her eyes, narrowing them as she scrutinized Ye Chen. The more she looked, the deeper her gaze became. Ye Chen couldn't see through her, and she couldn't see through him either.

After two or three breaths, she closed her eyes again, as if meditating or comprehending the Dao.

Sometime later, the snoring Ye Chen suddenly sat up.

It was because the Female Sacred Body was undergoing a change—or rather, layers of halos were emanating from her as the center, spreading outward like an invisible hand brushing over this dark scorched land.

Immediately, the dark world seemed to come alive, with ancient scenes manifesting one after another. Vaguely, a majestic figure could be seen, clad in armor, his back as towering as a mountain, standing at the end of time, appearing and disappearing. It was likely an emperor, his imperial body surrounded by ultimate Dao laws, each strand capable of collapsing the eternal immortal dome.

"Gui Di."

Ye Chen instinctively stood up, his mouth slightly agape.

He had never seen Gui Di before, but he had seen his portrait at Tianxuan Gate. The so-called Sun and Moon Forbidden Curse was passed down from Gui Di's hand, trapping generations of successors and fostering many fateful encounters. As an emperor, he was a bit idle, but his myths that shook the ancients and dazzled the present were still legendary, with the emperor's ancient tales enduring eternally.

In just an instant, the ancient scenes dissipated, and everything returned to normal, as if what had happened before was merely an illusion, with no way to confirm if it was real.

Ye Chen was still immersed in it, his expression dazed, certain he hadn't been mistaken.

In other words, on some day in the distant past, Gui Di had been here, and he might have entered the Taigu Honghuang from this place. As for the implications and his connection to the Female Sacred Body, Ye Chen couldn't fathom it yet, but he knew it was full of mythical undertones.

"Di Qing, it really was you."

The Female Sacred Body murmured lightly, then opened her eyes.

Ye Chen raised an eyebrow and asked curiously,

"Senior, do you know Gui Di?"
