The sun shone brightly. Inside the spacious and clean carriage, an elderly man was sitting with his eyes closed, stroking the beard on his chin. Across from him sat a refined young man, also with his eyes closed, his eyebrows slightly furrowed as if contemplating a problem.
The carriage moved steadily on the road. Suddenly, the young man opened his eyes and looked out the window. He sighed and said, "It's almost time."
The old man opened his eyes, a hint of worry in them. "Ah Chen, don't rush. There's still some time. Let's wait a bit."
"It's true that there's still some time before we leave," the young man named Ah Chen said, a slight smile on his face, "but if we delay any further, I'm afraid even with Grandmaster Wu's cultivation, he might not be able to make it in time."
The old man's expression changed. He hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Alright. Let's go."
Ah Chen nodded and stood up. "Excuse me for a moment, Grandmaster Wu."
Grandmaster Wu waved his hand. "Go."
Ah Chen smiled and stepped out of the carriage. He scanned his surroundings, then leaped lightly onto the roof of the carriage.
On the roof, Ah Chen stood tall and straight, his clothes fluttering in the wind. He looked towards the distant horizon, his eyes sharp.
After a while, Ah Chen raised his hand and flicked his finger. A golden light shot out from his fingertip, piercing the clouds and disappearing into the sky.
The golden light flashed for a moment, then disappeared. The sky remained calm, without any unusual phenomena.
Ah Chen, however, did not seem discouraged. He continued to stand on the roof of the carriage, waiting patiently.
Time passed slowly. The carriage continued on its journey.
Suddenly, a small black dot appeared in the distant sky. The black dot grew larger and larger, and soon it became clear that it was a person flying through the air.
The person flew extremely fast, covering a great distance in the blink of an eye. In just a few moments, they had reached the carriage.
The person was a young woman in black, with a graceful figure and an indifferent expression. She landed lightly on the roof of the carriage, facing Ah Chen.
Ah Chen smiled slightly. "Miss Xuan, you've finally arrived."
The young woman in black, Miss Xuan, nodded and said, "Mr. Ah Chen."
Ah Chen turned to look in the direction the young woman had come from. "Miss Xuan, did you bring it?"
Miss Xuan nodded again. She raised her hand, and a small box appeared in her palm. The box was black and made of an unknown material, giving off a faint glow.
Ah Chen's eyes lit up. He reached out and took the box. He held it carefully, as if holding a priceless treasure.
"With this," Ah Chen said, a confident smile on his face, "we can proceed as planned."
Miss Xuan looked at Ah Chen, her indifferent expression unchanging. "Mr. Ah Chen, I've completed my task. I'll be leaving now."
Ah Chen nodded. "Thank you for your trouble, Miss Xuan. Take care on your journey."
Miss Xuan nodded slightly, then turned and flew away, disappearing into the distant sky in an instant.
Ah Chen watched her leave, then looked down at the box in his hand. His smile widened.
He then jumped down from the roof of the carriage and returned inside.
Inside the carriage, Grandmaster Wu opened his eyes and looked at Ah Chen. "Ah Chen, did she bring it?"
Ah Chen nodded, a hint of excitement in his voice. "Yes, Grandmaster Wu. She brought it." He carefully placed the box on the table.
Grandmaster Wu looked at the box, his eyes filled with a mixture of anticipation and worry. He sighed. "This is our last hope."
Ah Chen nodded. "With this, we can try to change the situation."
Grandmaster Wu looked at Ah Chen, his expression solemn. "Ah Chen, you must be careful. This matter is of great importance, and the risks are also very high."
Ah Chen nodded. "I understand, Grandmaster Wu. I will be careful."
Grandmaster Wu nodded, then closed his eyes again, deep in thought.
Ah Chen looked at the box on the table, his eyes shining with determination. He knew that this was a dangerous journey, but he was willing to take the risk for their future.
The carriage continued to move forward, carrying their hopes and dreams towards an unknown destiny.
