Chapter 1907: Reunited

“Kill.” The experts of the two races roared furiously, shaking the heavens and earth as they attacked Ye Chen and Ji Ning Shuang. Divine abilities, secret techniques, magical tools, and array patterns rained down like a storm, their fury evident after the destruction of their two Di Zi.

“Not afraid of you at all.” Ye Chen remained dominant, his combat power at its peak. Standing shoulder to shoulder with Ji Ning Shuang, they moved with perfect synergy, alternating between leading the assault and providing support, decimating the forces of the two races until they were in complete disarray.

As for the other Hong Huang races, they simply became spectators. They were intimidated by Ye Chen and Ji Ning Shuang, and secretly hoped that Jin Niao and Tian Xie would serve as cannon fodder. As long as those two races could hold Ye Chen and Ji Ning Shuang back, everything would be fine.

Without reinforcements from the others, the mere few thousand experts from Jin Niao and Tian Xie stood no chance against Ye Chen and his companion. One after another, the Hong Huang powerhouses fell, failing to injure the duo and instead suffering heavy losses themselves.

The land was drenched in blood, the ground littered with bones and shattered war flags.

“Damn it.” The two Zhun Di bellowed in rage, cursing both Ye Chen and the other Hong Huang races. They watched helplessly as their Hong Huang forces were gradually worn down, yet no one lifted a finger to help.

Ye Chen and Ji Ning Shuang paid no mind to any of that—they focused solely on the fight. With the Hong Huang races divided, they struck them down one by one.

At some point, the heavens fell silent, a deathly stillness settling in.

The experts from Jin Niao and Tian Xie no longer pressed their attack. Their numbers had plummeted from several thousand to just a few hundred, nearly wiped out by Ye Chen and Ji Ning Shuang.

In the void, Ye Chen and Ji Ning Shuang stood tall, their killing intent and murderous aura intertwining, stained with the blood of the Hong Huang.

They seemed like legends and myths standing side by side, overlooking the world and dominating the eight directions. This was the might of a war god and a queen, their figures more dazzling in the eyes of the people than the blazing sun.

Gazing at the pair, all the Hong Huang individuals retreated, not a single one daring to advance.

Those eyes were filled with fear, and those with weak resolve even trembled as they gripped their swords.

Even the experts from Tian Xie and Jin Niao were retreating now.

They had witnessed their Di Zi being slain yet didn’t dare seek revenge. Those two were like terrifying gods of death—having cut down the children of emperors, who would dare challenge them? Fear gripped everyone.

What an ironic scene.

Over a hundred thousand Hong Huang experts, including Zhun Di and Sheng Wang who were suppressed to that level, surrounded just two people. Yet no one dared to fight; instead, they were intimidated into trembling and retreating.

Slay the East God, execute the Saint Body!

This eerie silence was finally shattered by roars from all directions.

A massive Hong Huang army of three million had arrived.

Looking into the distance, clouds churned in every direction, covering the earth and filling the skies. The Hong Huang aura surged wildly, their war flags fluttered fiercely, and their combined momentum eclipsed the light of the heavens.

Dozens of Hong Huang Di Zi had also arrived.

These sons of emperors were all imposing and majestic, clad in ancient armor with overwhelming vital energy. Their dominant bloodlines made even the Hong Huang people instinctively kneel, as if these Di Zi were the emperors of ancient times.

Now, the Hong Huang experts who had been retreating regained their confidence.

Especially those from Tian Xie and Jin Niao, whose eyes burned with a ferocious red, gritted with anger and twisted into grotesque masks, like demons from the depths of hell.

Unfortunately, while they had waited for reinforcements, their Di Zi had not. They had been buried in the dust of history, and the losses for these two races were catastrophic, with no one to blame but themselves.

As they spoke, the Hong Huang army closed in relentlessly.

Compared to the Hong Huang forces, Ye Chen and Ji Ning Shuang at the center were like two grains of sand in the vast sea.

“I heard they’re a couple?” On a mountain peak outside the encirclement, the Sun and Moon God Child stood tall, his vision piercing through the haze to see Ye Chen and the others, clicking his tongue in amazement. “The Saint Body and the East God are indeed a perfect match, but their judgment leaves something to be desired.”

“Knowing the Hong Huang has them surrounded, why are they still standing there? Run!” The King of Dong Zhou Wu rubbed his brow. “With dozens of Di Zi and a three-million-strong cultivator army, this lineup is impossible to rescue.”

The various Zhutian Di Zi had also arrived, their expressions grim as they watched the scene, just as the King of Dong Zhou Wu had said. Trapped at the very center, rescue was out of the question. A forceful attempt might lead to total annihilation, and even then, success wasn’t guaranteed.

“This showdown is going to be quite the spectacle.” In the encirclement, Ye Chen turned with a smile to Ji Ning Shuang.

“You didn’t have to stay here with me.” Ji Ning Shuang replied with a light smile.

“Hard to gather like this—might as well enjoy the excitement!” Ye Chen cracked his neck vigorously.

“East God Yao Chi, Saint Body Ye Chen, today is destined to be a great harvest for us.” A mocking laugh echoed through the nine heavens, coming from the Tao Tie Di Zi. He lorded over the skies, his eyes like bottomless abysses, brimming with predatory Dao principles. True to his greedy lineage, nothing was off-limits for devouring, especially with the pure vital energy of Ye Chen and Ji Ning Shuang stirring his insatiable greed.

“No one up for a one-on-one?” Ye Chen grinned at the Hong Huang Di Zi.

“A cornered beast’s struggle is hardly entertaining.” The Qiu Yu Di Zi smirked, his smile mocking and playful.

“As Di Zi, you don’t even have the courage for a single challenge?” Ye Chen raised an eyebrow.

“You’re not worthy.” The Xue Mang Di Zi sneered sinisterly.

“I really don’t like hearing that.” Ye Chen pursed his lips. “Not just me—my wife doesn’t like it either. Mess with me, fine, but don’t mess with her. She has a temper.”

Ye Chen’s words still echoed when a thunderous boom resounded from the nine heavens.

A single thunderclap shook the firmament.

Dark clouds gathered in the sky, layer upon layer, thick and oppressive like a stormy sea, roiling violently. Streaks of lightning snaked through the clouds like serpents, flickering in and out of view. Alongside this came a terrifying pressure that made the heavens tremble and hearts quiver.

“It’s a Tian Jie.” A Jin Niao Zhun Di shouted abruptly.

At his words, the entire Hong Huang force shuddered, including the Hong Huang Di Zi. Everyone’s face paled in shock.

A Tian Jie wasn’t frightening on its own, but it depended on where it struck. If it happened in some remote part of the starry sky, no one would care. But here was different—with millions of Hong Huang troops spread across tens of thousands of miles.

Imagine if someone underwent a Tian Jie now—it wouldn’t just be one person’s tribulation; it would engulf three million. The scene of three million people facing tribulation together was unimaginable; the entire realm could be reduced to ashes.

“Damn it.” A Qiong Qi Zhun Di roared in fury. “Whose Tian Jie is this?”

“It’s hers, Ji Ning Shuang’s.” A Hong Huang Da Sheng pointed from afar, directly at Ji Ning Shuang.

Indeed, it was Ji Ning Shuang’s Tian Jie. Though she was a Sheng Wang, she was one who had yet to undergo her tribulation. The reason she remained so composed while surrounded was her reliance on this trump card. More people meant more excitement, after all.

She was calm, and Ye Chen was even calmer, perhaps even delighted. He had no intention of leaving and planned to face the Tian Jie alongside Ji Ning Shuang. He wasn’t afraid of the Sixteen Emperors’ Tian Jie, so naturally, he feared none from her.

Most importantly, staying to share the tribulation would expand its range, giving the Hong Huang forces a real headache.

“Kill her.” Dozens of Hong Huang Di Zi charged at once, each unleashing an emperor-level immortal technique. They weren’t fools—they knew to target the source. Eliminate Ji Ning Shuang, the one who triggered the tribulation, and it would dissipate. Otherwise, this Tian Jie would deal a devastating blow to the Hong Huang.

“Still think you can take us out in an instant? What are you dreaming about?” Ye Chen scoffed, vanishing instantly with Ji Ning Shuang. They activated a heaven-defying secret technique to swap positions with the Hong Huang experts, dodging the fatal strikes. If the Hong Huang Di Zi could think of it, so could they—they had prepared countermeasures.

Boom! Bang! Boom!

Those dozens of emperor-level immortal techniques were incredibly powerful. Missing Ye Chen and Ji Ning Shuang, they devastated the area where the duo had stood, leaving it in ruins. The immense force even harmed nearby Hong Huang individuals, shattering their bodies and extinguishing their souls, not even allowing a scream.

“Seal the heavens and earth.” The Qiu Yu Zhun Di bellowed, forming seals with his hands.

Like him, thousands of Hong Huang Zhun Di activated sealing secret techniques, specifically countering spatial swaps.

However, under the Tian Jie’s cover, such spatial seals were meaningless. A single lightning bolt reduced everything to illusion. Ye Chen and Ji Ning Shuang’s spatial swaps worked as intended.

“Retreat, retreat now!” Dozens of Hong Huang Di Zi shouted hoarsely, charging toward Ye Chen and Ji Ning Shuang. As Di Zi, they believed they could withstand the Tian Jie, but whether they could endure it depended on its level. If it exceeded their limits, even they would have to evade.

In an instant, the three-million-strong Hong Huang army fell into chaos, fleeing desperately outward. Ji Ning Shuang was at the Di Zi level, and her Tian Jie was no joke. Unless you were also at that level, who would dare face it head-on?

In this situation, retreat was the best option. Fall behind, and a single lightning strike could turn you to ash.

Boom! Rumbling!

The nine heavens shook with continuous thunder.

The Tian Jie had arrived, bolts of lightning weaving into waterfalls that poured down from the sky.

Ji Ning Shuang’s expression remained indifferent as she waved her crystalline jade hand, dispersing the lightning.

Meanwhile, Ye Chen had separated from her, positioning himself just within the Tian Jie’s range to pull in more Hong Huang individuals. Together, they expanded the tribulation’s scope twofold.

Glancing at the Hong Huang army, at least over a million were now involuntarily caught in the Tian Jie.

Pfft! Pfft! Pfft!

Blooms of blood flowers erupted across the land, even the spraying blood mist vaporizing instantly under the lightning.

Screams and wails filled the air, blending into a chorus as Hong Huang individuals were wiped out in waves. Essentially, one lightning bolt per person—it wasn’t that they weren’t strong enough; Ji Ning Shuang’s Tian Jie was just too terrifying. Not even the Hong Huang Zhun Di could guarantee their survival.

Overlooking the scene, it was a horrifying sight: masses of shadowy figures turning to ash in droves, the tens of thousands of miles enveloped in lightning like a raging storm pouring down on the world.

“Impressive!” Watching from afar, Ming Jue grinned widely, swallowing hard at the display.

“As I calculated, everyone in Ye Chen’s family loves using Tian Jie to trap others.” The Hong Huang Qi Lin Jiu Chen said thoughtfully, hands clasped behind his back. “That’s the truth.”

No one refuted this. Just take Ye Chen—for which of his tribulations was ever solo? He always sought the crowds, dragging in hundreds of thousands for the fun. Now, his wife had learned from him, finding solo tribulations too lonely and always seeking companions. This time, the Hong Huang had obliged, gathering three million— a tribulation for three million was heart-shaking just to witness, let alone hear.

“No wonder they didn’t escape earlier—they were waiting for the Hong Huang.” The Zhu Tian Di Zi Mu Yang laughed.

“The combat power of East God Yao Chi isn’t inferior to the Saint Body; her Tian Jie will likely summon emperor-level Dao principles.” The Tian Que Di Zi Li Feng Qiu pondered, deeply wary of the tribulation.

“If another sixteen emperors show up, that would really liven things up.” The Qing Di Zhi Zi Feng Yu chuckled with delight.
