Chapter 1880: Having a Grudge?

As a wisp of star wind blew by, Hong Chen and Liu Dao moved simultaneously, both traversing the vast Hao Yu Xing Kong. They passed by Ye Chen and headed towards the Teng She Di Qu, one from the left and one from the right.

Ye Chen was a bit stunned, his eyes shifting between the two as they left. He wasn't sure what they were up to—whether it was for a chat or to start a fight.

Clearly, it wasn't for a chat. The moment they approached, they launched an attack without any preamble.

Hong Chen's palm strike was devastating, forcing the Teng She Di Qu to retreat before it could steady itself, and then Liu Dao's fist followed, a ferocious blow that nearly shattered the imperial body.

Ye Chen swallowed hard, his eyes wide in shock.

When it came to sheer presence, Hong Chen and Liu Dao were the ultimate tough customers—striking without a word, as if they were clearing the area, then continuing their battle to the death.

With the three of them engaging in a chaotic melee, the previously silent starry sky erupted once more with thunderous roars, the scene extraordinarily grand.

Liu Dao fought like a war god, his secret techniques reaching the heavens, each attack causing parts of the starry sky to collapse and tearing the Teng She Di Qu to pieces.

Hong Chen battled like an immortal king, manifesting the ways of all things, controlling yin and yang, and annihilating the universe, his assaults equally unmatched in dominance.

The Teng She Di Qu stood like a divine sovereign, expanding a primordial demonic realm around its body for eighty thousand zhang, with destructive visions intertwining and imperial dao laws dancing, its imperial might enveloping the starry sky.

Yet even so, it struggled to withstand the combined assault of Hong Chen and Liu Dao, retreating repeatedly as its body healed and shattered time and again, imperial blood splattering across the stars.

"You Yuan with the Teng She Di Qu?" Ye Chen raised an eyebrow.

Well then! Earlier, he had been the one hunted, but now he was just a spectator to this epic clash. Whether it was Hong Chen, Liu Dao, or the Teng She Di Qu, they were all formidable opponents.

As he spoke, he tucked the jade bottle he had been clutching back into his robes. It wasn't that he didn't want to help, but he feared those two madmen might turn on him too.

He still remembered that day in the black hole, when he and Chu Huang Yan Huang had tried to break up their fight, only to get thoroughly beaten by those two brutes.

Thinking back on it now was still embarrassing. The three great sovereigns of Da Chu, outnumbering them three to two, had been utterly dominated—not because they were weak, but because Hong Chen and Liu Dao were just that strong.

After pondering it, he decided it was safer to stay on the sidelines as a spectator. Those two attacked anyone in sight—who would dare jump in?

He watched, but he wasn't idle. He activated his imperial dao to summon spirits, calling forth the second hall Yan Luo, Chu Jiang Wang, though he had originally wanted Qin Guang Wang, who was currently in seclusion.

"Do you have a problem? Are we that close?"

The moment Chu Jiang Wang regained consciousness, he scowled and cursed, still fuming over the destruction of his underworld forces.

"Look at you, getting angry again." Ye Chen chuckled awkwardly, gesturing toward the distance. "It's a rare, world-shaking battle—truly spectacular. I invited you, Yan Luo, to come see for yourself."

Chu Jiang Wang ignored him and turned to look. The first thing he spotted was the Teng She Di Qu, his eyes narrowing sharply. With his insight, he could tell at a glance that it was an imperial body.

"It can actually suppress an imperial body." Chu Jiang Wang murmured to himself, then shifted his gaze to Hong Chen and Liu Dao, curious about what kind of beings possessed such overwhelming power.

But as he looked, he froze, his expression turning odd. After a second or two, he glanced back at Ye Chen, baffled because this guy looked exactly like those two.

"Just the same, isn't it magical?" Ye Chen said with a smile.

"What's your relationship with those three?"

"It's hard to explain in a short time." Ye Chen coughed. "I called you here for a favor. I want to borrow some ultimate dao imperial weapons from the underworld—the more, the better."

"That won't work." Chu Jiang Wang replied while watching the battle and waving his hand. "All the imperial weapons in the underworld have been integrated into the imperial array as its foundations. There's no way to remove them."

"The underworld has two supreme beings—what an impressive lineup. What's the point of hoarding so many imperial weapons?" Ye Chen's face darkened, instinctively suspecting Chu Jiang Wang was brushing him off.

"Emperors have their duties, and imperial weapons have their missions." Chu Jiang Wang said leisurely. "Without the imperial weapons to maintain it, the underworld would collapse. Not a single one can be spared. Allowing Ming Jue and Bai Zhi to take two was already pushing it. With the heavenly demons invading the Zhu Tian, a crisis of that magnitude, Di Jun and Ming Di are watching helplessly without crossing over to help, all because they're afraid the underworld would fall apart. So, you should understand the importance of the underworld and its imperial weapons. It's not that we won't lend them—it's that we can't."

"Got it." Ye Chen rubbed his brow. "But I'll still have to trouble you, Yan Luo, to ask Di Jun and Ming Di when you get back—why Hong Chen and Liu Dao are fighting like this, and where the Zhu Xian Jian is hidden. I'll summon you again later."

"Summon me at my residence at midnight tomorrow."

Chu Jiang Wang set the time with Ye Chen, and his form began to fade.

Before leaving, he couldn't help but glance once more at Hong Chen and Liu Dao—those two maniacs battling the imperial body were incredibly fierce.

After he left, Ye Chen retreated a full ten thousand zhang, simply because the trio's fight was affecting such a wide area. Their semi-emperor level clash was unmatched in the entire Zhu Tian.

With a massive boom, the Teng She Di Qu was forced back again, staggered by Hong Chen's palm and sent spitting blood by Liu Dao's fist, stumbling backward and collapsing swaths of starry sky.

The Teng She Di Qu roared in fury, its eyes gleaming with divine light as it awakened a trace more of its consciousness, boosting its combat power accordingly.

It suddenly extended its hand, reaching into the ethereal void.

Immediately, a beam of immortal light flew in from the distant starry sky, as if traversing ancient eras and enduring countless ages, its radiant divine glow illuminating the entire starry sky.

"Teng She imperial weapon." Ye Chen narrowed his eyes, recognizing it as an imperial weapon—the Teng She imperial weapon. Back when Teng She Tai Zi was destroyed, the imperial weapon had fled, and now the Teng She Di Qu was summoning it for aid.

No doubt about it—with the Teng She imperial weapon in hand, the Teng She Di Qu's power surged another level, its ultimate dao imperial might shaking the starry dome.

Now, Hong Chen and Liu Dao were both at a disadvantage, each struck back by the Teng She Di Qu's sword.

Seeing this, Ye Chen had a thought and summoned his own internal imperial weapon—the one given to him by Chu Xuan Er: the imperial weapon Yu Ru Yi.

"Catch the imperial weapon!" Ye Chen shouted, hurling the Yu Ru Yi toward Hong Chen and Liu Dao to aid them.

Hong Chen reacted quickly, waving his hand to catch the Yu Ru Yi, transforming it into an immortal sword and slashing the Teng She Di Qu down.

At the same time, Ji Ning Shuang arrived, an ancient zither flying out from her body—it was the Feng Huang Qin of Dong Hua Nu Di, likely borrowed from Tian Xuan Men.

Like Ye Chen, she sent the Feng Huang Qin flying toward Liu Dao.

Liu Dao said nothing, catching it smoothly and transforming it into another immortal sword. The Teng She Di Qu, which had just steadied itself, nearly got cleaved in half in that instant.

The Teng She Di Qu let out a low roar—it was its first sound. Its hollow imperial eyes gained another hint of light, signifying more awakened consciousness and greater power.

But this seemed to make no difference. With the imperial weapons boosting them, Hong Chen and Liu Dao were like cheats activated, ferociously overpowering and hacking the Teng She Di Qu all the way from the northern starry sky to the southern, its imperial blood glaringly vivid.

The battle grew even more massive, yet the outcome remained unchanged.

The Teng She Di Qu had an imperial weapon, but so did Hong Chen and Liu Dao, and it was still facing two against one, getting thoroughly suppressed.

This star domain turned into utter chaos, like the dawn of creation, with lightning clashing and forces of annihilation rampaging unchecked.

Thankfully, this was a desolate star domain; otherwise, any living beings nearby would have been reduced to ash by the battle's fallout.

"After his reincarnation, Hong Chen is only a few hundred years old, yet he's this strong?" Ji Ning Shuang stood beside Ye Chen, most shocked by Hong Chen—it was absolutely unprecedented.

"It subverted the wheel of reincarnation and also disrupted time and space. He's just not a normal person." Ye Chen pondered.

"Hong Chen is the future you, and Liu Dao is the future Hong Chen—is that right?" Ji Ning Shuang asked tentatively.

"Looks like those old folks from Tian Xuan Men told you quite a bit!" Ye Chen laughed. "Those two are variables, and the course of history has deviated because of them."

"The real one who deviated history should be you." Ji Ning Shuang said softly, her words carrying profound implications. "Hong Chen and Liu Dao are anomalies, and so are you."

"You could say that, but wait, huh?" Ye Chen hadn't finished speaking when he felt a terrifying suction force pulling him away, catching him completely off guard.

It was Hong Chen and Liu Dao yanking him—they had charged into a black hole, chasing the Teng She Di Qu, which had fled into the spatial black hole.

For some reason, they just dragged him along, and the four of them vanished into the starry sky in an instant.

Ji Ning Shuang froze for a moment, then hurried forward, but she was too late—the black hole's rift had already sealed, and without the secret arts to manipulate it, she couldn't enter.
