Chapter 1862: The Holy Woman Physique?

Chapter 1862: Nü Sheng Ti?

At night, the bright moonlight bathed Yao Chi Sheng Di, draping this fairyland in a layer of dazzling splendor, making it shine like a pearl when viewed from above.

The fairies of Yao Chi had returned from their baths in the immortal pools, combing their damp hair as they chatted and laughed, ending their day of cultivation before heading to their respective mountain peaks.

Some dedicated female disciples remained deep in the peach blossom groves, sitting cross-legged with eyes closed, quietly breathing in essence to refine their energy.

All was silent in the world, yet on one mountain peak, the sound of a child's giggles rang out— childish and tender. That peak was the exclusive domain of the Yao Chi Shen Nü, and the child was none other than Xiao Ye Fan. Though it was late, he was full of energy and playing happily.

Ji Ning Shuang sat leisurely, watching quietly. Every time the little one called out "Mommy," she would smile warmly.

As for Ye Chen, he was under a nearby old tree, one hand holding a carving knife and the other a piece of wood, sculpting a figure.

Upon closer inspection, it was clear he was carving Xiao Ye Fan, with each stroke bringing it to vivid life.

As the night grew deeper, Xiao Ye Fan grew tired and curled up in Ji Ning Shuang's arms, falling into a peaceful, contented sleep.

Ji Ning Shuang rose, cradling the little one, and headed to her chambers.

Ye Chen followed along foolishly, but stopped at the door, not going inside.

"You..." Ji Ning Shuang lowered her gaze, hesitating as if to speak, her cheeks flushed under the moonlight.

"I'll sleep over there." Ye Chen coughed dryly, scratching his head as he walked away. He hadn't meant to do anything when he followed—just wanted to hold the child while sleeping—but then thought better of it to avoid awkwardness.

Ji Ning Shuang gave a self-mocking smile and gently closed the door, peeking through the crack at his retreating figure.

In her eyes, she, Ji Ning Shuang, had always been nothing more to Ye Chen than Xiao Ye Fan's mother.

Nothing else, and that was all.

In the room, Ye Chen chewed on a toothpick, hands behind his head, gazing quietly at the ceiling, lost in thought. As he pondered, he occasionally smiled.

It wasn't until deep into the night that a call startled him awake.

He rolled out of bed and stepped outside in an instant.

Before him stood a graceful figure—Yao Chi Xian Mu, standing elegantly under the moonlight, beautiful as a dream.

"Xian Mu, is something wrong?" Ye Chen asked tentatively.

"Since you are husband and wife, why sleep in separate rooms? Or is it that you are not accustomed to Yao Chi Sheng Di?" Yao Chi Xian Mu chuckled lightly, her words ethereal and melodic, like an immortal melody.

"I'm afraid the noise might disturb the fairies' rest." Ye Chen glanced around, avoiding direct eye contact with Yao Chi Xian Mu, suspecting she might be here to scold him.

Yao Chi Xian Mu laughed and lightly flicked her sleeve. "Come with me."

The two vanished in an instant. Ye Chen felt a gentle breeze, and when they reappeared, they were in a vast underground palace.

The palace was not dim; instead, it glowed with pure, radiant light.

Ye Chen scanned the area and realized this place was extraordinary, inscribed with secret array patterns—Emperor Dao array patterns, no less. Without his Wheel of Reincarnation Eye, he might not have seen through them.

Such high-level formations were incredibly powerful; without an Extreme Dao Emperor Weapon for protection, anyone entering this palace would surely die.

Beyond the arrays, the most striking feature was a massive altar, over a hundred zhang wide, upon which lay a woman with white hair.

"Dead." Ye Chen narrowed his eyes slightly; even without approaching, he could tell the white-haired woman had no vital energy left.

What surprised him even more was that Yao Chi's Emperor Weapon hovered above the altar, clearly suppressing her.

"Using an Extreme Dao Emperor Weapon to suppress someone already dead— that white-haired woman's identity must be far from simple!" Ye Chen remarked, turning to look at Yao Chi Xian Mu.

"Take a closer look first." Yao Chi Xian Mu walked forward, and the Emperor Dao arrays parted to let her through.

"I'm good at recognizing people." Ye Chen approached the altar, realizing she had brought him here for that purpose.

He stroked his chin and circled the altar, staring at the woman. She had a stunningly beautiful face; though deceased, her body still emanated a faint immortal glow.

He wanted to examine her origin, but her body was obscured by the Yao Chi Emperor Weapon, making it impossible to see clearly.

He could only sense that this white-haired woman had been extraordinarily powerful in life. Even in death, she exuded an oppressive aura.

"Do you recognize her?" Yao Chi Xian Mu asked, glancing at Ye Chen.

"I don't know her." Ye Chen shook his head while stroking his chin. "She's very ancient, very weathered, not from this era."

Yao Chi Xian Mu furrowed her brows slightly but said nothing. With a gentle wave of her hand, she removed the Yao Chi Emperor Weapon suppressing the woman.

As the weapon lifted, the woman's body trembled, and a surge of golden vital energy erupted from within, vast as a river or sea. Listening closely, one could even hear faint dragon roars.

"A female Sheng Ti?" Ye Chen was stunned, his expression full of shock.

In this era, no one understood better than he what that golden vital energy signified— it was the essence of the Huang Gu Sheng Ti, something no other power in the world could imitate.

The Emperor Weapon had hidden it before, but now he saw it clearly: it was undoubtedly the Huang Gu Sheng Ti.

In that moment, his own essence surged forth unbidden, intertwining with the white-haired woman's essence. His ancient Sheng Ti blood stirred excitedly.

Yao Chi Xian Mu waved her hand again, suspending the Yao Chi Emperor Weapon back over the altar to suppress the woman's aura.

Ye Chen slapped his forehead, feeling a wave of dizziness.

It was absolutely a Sheng Ti— a female Sheng Ti at that.

His understanding was completely overturned in an instant. He had only ever heard of male Sheng Ti; a female one was unheard of.

Women were innately yin, while Sheng Ti bloodline was purely yang and unyielding. Such a combination was almost impossible to exist in the world.

Even if it did, a woman bearing the Huang Gu Sheng Ti bloodline would face conflicting attributes, making cultivation nearly impossible.

"Surprised?" Yao Chi Xian Mu's voice was soft and ethereal.

"Senior, who is she?" Ye Chen asked hurriedly.

"I don't know." Yao Chi Xian Mu shook her head. "She was already here when I became the Holy Mother, sealed for who knows how many years. One thing is certain: her era predates that of Yao Chi Nü Di. Even Yao Chi Nü Di left no records about her identity."

"That doesn't make sense!" Ye Chen scratched his head. "How could there be a female Sheng Ti? I've never even heard of one!"

"As the inheritor of Sheng Ti, I should be asking you about this." Yao Chi Xian Mu smiled at Ye Chen.

"I'm self-taught in this path." Ye Chen gave a sheepish grin. "I can't even keep track of how many Sheng Ti there've been in history."

"From what I know, the records of the heavens make no mention of a female Sheng Ti." Yao Chi Xian Mu said. "Even you, as a Sheng Ti inheritor, don't know, so likely no one in the world does."

Ye Chen fell silent, pressing his two fingers together and placing them on the woman's forehead to perform Zhou Tian Yan Hua, hoping to use this heavenly divination to trace her origins.

However, to his frustration, the white-haired woman had long since perished, and her era was too ancient. Even the profound Zhou Tian Yan Hua couldn't deduce her background or identity.

"Has Xian Mu consulted Ren Wang?" After several futile attempts, Ye Chen looked at Yao Chi Xian Mu. "Ren Wang's divination surpasses mine; perhaps he knows something."

"I haven't asked him yet, but I've invited him to this grand event." Yao Chi Xian Mu replied. "It's unlikely he'll uncover her origins either."

"Maybe Di Huang senior knows." Ye Chen muttered to himself, glancing at the void as if he could see through the endless stars to the Ming Jie Ming Mountain, where Di Huang must be watching.

On Ming Jie Ming Mountain, Ming Di spoke leisurely, "Aren't you going to say something? You must know about this. Care to chat?"

"Where did this female Sheng Ti come from?" Di Huang murmured to himself, his brows furrowed. Even as a supreme Great Accomplishment Sheng Ti, he had never heard of a female one.

"Now that's something new." Ming Di couldn't help but laugh.

"You're a Great Emperor and have lived longer than I have— you don't know either?" Di Huang turned to ask Ming Di.

"I have lived longer, it's true, but most of that time was spent in self-seal. I wasn't always watching the heavens." Ming Di replied casually. "I've never seen that woman."

"Inconceivable." Di Huang's brows remained knit. If not for Yao Chi Xian Mu bringing Ye Chen to the underground palace, he wouldn't have known that Yao Chi Sheng Di sealed a female Sheng Ti— one with no records at all.
