Chapter 1828: I'm Going to be a Dad

After a round of teasing, everyone gathered at the peak of Yu Nü Peak, where there was a vast open area, spanning about a thousand zhang in radius.

Ye Chen and all the women were there, along with the various hosts: five women, one old woman, eight young men, and three elders, all standing neatly in place.

This was just the first batch, with more reincarnated individuals to come, each corresponding to a Tōng Líng host, waiting to be summoned.

The long wait dragged on as the sky grew dark, approaching midnight. The closer they got to this final moment, the more tense everyone became.

Ye Chen instructed, "All keep your eyes peeled, don't mess up." As he spoke, he handed out several Bā Wén Dān to them.

The hosts nodded hurriedly. Ever since they had ascended the peak, they had lost count of how many times Ye Chen had reminded them, and each time, he gave them more pills.

This made them wonder what the connection was between their Tōng Líng beasts and the Shèng Tǐ that had Ye Chen so excited—so excited that he was acting out of character and handing out pills repeatedly.

"The time is passing so slowly," Xī Yán said impatiently. For her, centuries had flown by in an instant, but this moment felt endlessly long.

"As soon as they come back, I'll be a dad," Ye Chen said, rubbing his hands together and grinning to himself. Holding a baby must feel great.

The women smiled coyly, amused to see Ye Chen like this for the first time—it was just like watching a silly boy.

"It's about time," the hosts said, all standing in position.

Upon hearing this, Ye Chen and the others stepped back, standing straight and holding their breath as they watched quietly.

The hosts pressed their palms together, each forming the same seal, and a mysterious power spread out.

Suddenly, more than a dozen beams of divine light shot straight into the sky, dazzling against the starry night, radiant and magnificent.

"What on earth is going on?" The commotion drew the attention of Héng Yuè Zōng, with many elders climbing to the peaks and gazing into the distance.

"It's Tōng Líng Shù," Héng Yuè Zhēn Rén murmured, recognizing the technique but unsure who was being summoned.

"From Ye Chen's expression, it must be someone very important," Yáng Dǐng Tiān said, taking a deep breath. "It's probably a reincarnated person, and likely from our Héng Yuè Zōng."

Under everyone's watchful eyes, at the peak of Yu Nü Peak, more than a dozen vague figures began to materialize, still in their initial forms, their features unclear.

Chǔ Xuán's eyes grew moist as she gazed hazily at the one in front—a woman slowly taking shape, dressed in splendid immortal robes, revealing her peerless beauty.

It was Chǔ Líng Ér, the other peak master of Yu Nü Peak, her twin sister. They had parted in their previous life, centuries ago.

"Héng Yuè, it's been so long since I felt this aura," Chǔ Líng Ér choked out, the first to fully materialize and step out of the Tōng Líng array. Her eyes were tearful, her cheeks streaked with crystal tears.

"Líng Ér," Chǔ Xuán said, stepping forward and embracing her sister. After so many years, they were finally reunited, across a full cycle of reincarnation, with untold hardships.

"Sis, I'm back," Chǔ Líng Ér sobbed uncontrollably, her tears soaking her clothes and evoking memories.

"Why do I feel like crying too?" Ye Chen rubbed his eyes, his nose tingling—it was truly an emotional scene.

"If you want to cry, then cry," the women said with smiles, their own eyes welling up with tears, but they didn't interrupt Chǔ Xuán and Chǔ Líng Ér.

As they spoke, more figures arrived at the peak of Yu Nü Peak—Yáng Dǐng Tiān and his group, along with Xiè Yún and others.

Though they were at a distance, they could see clearly. Their guesses were right—it was indeed people from Héng Yuè Zōng, and they were incredibly important to Ye Chen.

"I thought they only reincarnated in the Zhū Tiān realm, but I never expected some to be in the Líng Jiè as well," Xiè Yún sighed. "What a surprise."

"No matter where they ended up, as long as they're back, that's what matters," Yáng Dǐng Tiān said, overwhelmed with emotion. "Now, Yu Nü Peak is complete."

"That one must be Qīng Luán," Sī Tǔ Nán said sharply, spotting the second figure to materialize, as if he recognized her.

He was right—it was Qīng Luán. Lín Shī Huá had already rushed over. In their previous life, Qīng Luán was her Tōng Líng beast, and she had died on Qīng Luán's back while saving Ye Chen.

"The third one should be Zǐ Xuán," Xǔ Fú said, taking a deep breath. "I never thought she reincarnated in the Líng Jiè too."

"The feeling of coming home must be wonderful," Ye Chen said with a smile, looking at Zǐ Xuán. Among everyone present, he was the closest to her. A remnant soul of the Dōng Huá Empress, she had once been his puppet and had beaten him badly.

"It's very warm," Zǐ Xuán replied with a gentle smile, then eagerly gazed at Héng Yuè. This immortal realm held her memories; even after one cycle of reincarnation, they were etched in her soul.

"Is this Héng Yuè?" Míng Jué and Bái Zhī materialized one after the other, causing the younger generation of Héng Yuè to furrow their brows.

These two were terrifyingly powerful, their bloodlines and Dào principles utterly suppressing everyone, making hearts tremble.

How could they not be fearsome? One was a disciple of a great emperor, the other a disciple of a Dà Chéng Shèng Tǐ. They carried supreme-level inheritances, monstrous talents wherever they went.

"The people here, the mountains, the scenery—it's all just like in the Rén Jiān Dào," Bái Zhī said with a light laugh. She had seen it in the Rén Jiān Dào before, so she wasn't too shocked.

"Little fatty, I recognize you," Míng Jué scanned the area, paying special attention to Xióng Ér. He still remembered the scene in the Rén Jiān Dào where Ye Chen had forced him to take Hé Huān Sǎn—it was revolting. Seeing the real person now was oddly satisfying.

Xióng Ér was taken aback, sizing up Míng Jué and confirming he didn't know him. Had he become that famous?

Following that, more than a dozen others materialized, summoned from the Líng Jiè. One was from Héng Yuè Zōng—a female disciple from Yù Líng Peak. Another was from Hào Tiān family, two from Shàng Guān family, and the rest from Ōuyáng family.

Tears streamed down their faces as soon as they appeared. They knelt on the ground, scooping up handfuls of soil and weeping loudly. They were home at last, after over three hundred years.

The scene was indeed emotional. They had once fought together against the Tiān Mó, falling on this very land. Now, the heroic spirits of Dà Chǔ had returned, their hearts full of it all. This place held not just their blood and bones, but their memories from past lives.

Ye Chen smiled contentedly. It was worth all the dust and hardship he had endured to find them and bring the heroic spirits of Dà Chǔ home.

Compared to them, the Tōng Líng hosts were a bit confused. They looked at Chǔ Líng Ér and Zǐ Xuán, glanced at Qīng Luán and Míng Jué, and peered at Bái Zhī. These didn't seem like their Tōng Líng beasts at all—they suspected something had gone wrong with the summoning.

Only then did they realize it wasn't their Tōng Líng beasts that had a connection to Ye Chen, but these people themselves—and an extremely important one at that.

"This is quite a meritorious deed," the hosts said with a carefree smile, turning and quietly leaving.

They would pass on today's events to their descendants. They had once helped the Huāng Gǔ Shèng Tǐ with a major task, a glorious mark in their life stories.

The reunions at home were accompanied by tears, turning the usually peaceful night in Héng Yuè into a lively affair.

The elders and disciples who had been dead drunk earlier staggered over to see their long-lost relatives from over three hundred years ago, crying with snot and tears.

On Yu Nü Peak, a feast was set up as a welcome for Chǔ Líng Ér and the others. The family sat around the large table, sharing stories from the past and sighing with nostalgia.

In the midst of the lively chat, something happened with Chǔ Líng Ér. Her lower abdomen began to swell visibly, leaving everyone staring in shock.

"What's going on?" they exclaimed.

"Ye Chen, the seal has lifted—I'm about to give birth," Chǔ Líng Ér said, looking at her belly and then at Ye Chen.

The words "give birth" made everyone's expressions turn wonderfully animated.

"It's happening this soon?" Ye Chen jumped to his feet, caught off guard by the speed.

"Quick, quick, get her into the room," the elder female elders of Héng Yuè said hurriedly. They had assisted with Táng Rú Xuán's birth before, so they were experts at this.

Chǔ Xuán waved her hand, sending Chǔ Líng Ér into the inner chamber, followed by several senior female elders.

"I'm going to be a dad," Ye Chen said foolishly, trying to follow, but he was pushed out before he could enter. "Wait outside."

Ye Chen chuckled awkwardly, a bit excited but forgetting the situation. It would be awkward for him to be there while a woman was giving birth.

"Looks like I've been beaten to it again," Xiè Yún said, scratching his head and glancing at Yè Rú Xuě's belly. "Why hasn't yours come yet?"

"I'm still first," Xióng Ér boasted with a grin, puffing out his chest proudly.

"What endless good news," the elders said cheerfully. First Táng Rú Xuán, now Chǔ Líng Ér—Héng Yuè's younger generation was thriving.

Outside, discussions buzzed back and forth, while inside the room, Chǔ Líng Ér's groans could be heard. Even cultivators were human, and during childbirth, their powers failed, leaving them extremely weak.

Ye Chen couldn't sit still. He paced outside the door like an ant on a hot pan, occasionally glancing at the room, nearly pushing the door open a few times. The mighty Tiān Tíng Shèng Zhǔ, who had slain three great emperors, was now a bit flustered.

"Stay calm," Xióng Ér said, patting Ye Chen on the back. "I've got experience with this—getting anxious won't help, and you can't do anything anyway."

"You're just talking from a comfortable position," Ye Chen snapped, kicking Xióng Ér away in his frustration.
