Chapter 1776: A Bold Idea

Xi Mo was in chaos, war engulfing the pure lands. The eight clans clashed fiercely, their attempts at mediation spiraling into a full-scale brawl among them. Every collision of the Di Bing left swaths of figures dissolving into blood mist.

Gazing up at the void sky, one could see massive Primordial beasts everywhere.

Each was as enormous as a mountain, rampaging wildly amid the flickering Xian Guang of annihilation. They spewed flames from their mouths and shot thunder from their eyes, while colorful blood rained down, painting a dazzling scene.

Looking down at the earth, it was a landscape of piled corpses and flowing rivers of blood.

Every ancient city was a battlefield, filled with constant booms. Shattered weapons, beast carcasses, and tattered war banners littered the blood-soaked fields, resembling a hellish realm.

"Quite the spectacle." In the Wangchuan Forbidden Zone, Meng Po remarked with a sigh as she watched. "If they keep this up, Xi Mo will be utterly destroyed."

"The origin of Chen Zhan, the divine treasury of Di Huang, the sacred bones of Ba Yuan, the Ba Ti, turning the universe to dust, and the Six Paths Reincarnation Eye—what has he experienced since his death?" Wangchuan Tianwang murmured, gazing into the distance as if peering through the vast haze to see Ye Chen in the Chen Space. His aged eyes were full of profound meaning.

"Could he have gone to the Di Fu?" Meng Po asked slowly.

"It's not out of the question." Wangchuan Tianwang replied calmly, taking a deep breath. "He could be a wildcard."

As they spoke, the eight clans' battle grew even more brutal, with no sign of stopping. They were all consumed by madness.

"Fight on—fight until they're all dead!" At the edge of Xi Mo, the cultivators from the various heavens shouted excitedly, as if they were about to rush in and cheer. Just hearing the booms from Xi Mo was thrilling.

"You lot who bully our heavens will finally turn on each other." Young cultivators gathered together, laughing with exhilaration.

"In my view, it's probably Chen Ye stirring things up behind the scenes." On one side of the crowd, Jiuxiao Zhenren stroked his beard and chuckled.

"The skill to ignite a war among the eight clans is on par with that kid Ye Chen." Chiyangzi said. "If Ye Chen were still alive, the two of them would have plenty to talk about."

"Speaking of Ye Chen, I miss him." A group of about a dozen people approached, and upon closer inspection, it was Nan Di Long Jie and his companions.

"You lot, don't act recklessly anymore." An elderly Zhun Di scanned them with a stern gaze, offering advice as a senior with authority. "You know you're outmatched, yet you still charge into the battle platforms. The imperial princes of the Primordial clans are incredibly fierce—how could you possibly stand against them?"

"If my seventh brother were still here, those mongrels wouldn't dare act so arrogantly!" Xiao Yuan Huang's fiery eyes gleamed with cold fury.

"The problem is, he's gone." The three elderly Zhun Di all sighed, shaking their heads with a touch of nostalgia.

At those words, the major heavenly talents fell silent.

They felt resentful, unwilling to be suppressed by the Primordial imperial princes, so they pinned their hopes on someone long dead.

In a few fleeting moments, they even imagined Ye Chen was still alive and would one day return to turn the tide.

In the Chen Space, Ye Chen found a bare rock and squatted on it, resting his chin in his hands as he watched.

Xi Zun stood beside him, holding a wine gourd and sipping leisurely, looking utterly at ease.

If anyone had style, it was Kui Niu and Li Changsheng. They each held an iron basin and squatted in front of Qiong Qi Zhun Di, Qiong Qi imperial prince, and Teng She imperial prince, drinking away.

The three Zhun Di Yuan Shen and the two imperial princes' Yuan Shen all wore twisted expressions. They had seen through Ye Chen's schemes clearly.

Sadly, the eight clans remained oblivious, falling right into Ye Chen's trap and escalating the chaos, completely forgetting about Chen Ye.

As captives, they could only watch helplessly as the Primordial clans slaughtered each other, powerless to intervene.

Not only that, they had to endure the sight of those two brutes squatting in front of them, drinking soup made from their own bodies.

"Delicious, truly delicious." Kui Niu played along, downing basin after basin without a shred of shame.

"Want some?" Li Changsheng was even more audacious, drinking his fill and occasionally glancing up to ask if they wanted any.

The group gritted their teeth, their eyes blazing with rage to the point of nearly bleeding, but their mouths were sealed, leaving them without even the right to speak.

"Let's go." On the other side, Ye Chen stood up, patted his backside, stretched lazily, then vanished in an instant from the Chen Space and reappeared in the void space.

The intense battle raged on, with no one noticing the anomaly.

Traveling through the void, Ye Chen steered clear of the war zone and returned to Yinguo Gucheng, intending to use its teleportation array.

Yinguo City was also in the midst of battle, reduced to ruins with not a single intact building in sight, just rubble everywhere.

"So dedicated." Ye Chen glanced around, spotting several skirmishes where groups of Primordial clan members fought fiercely.

He turned his attention away and headed straight for the city center. Fortunately, the teleportation array was undamaged. He stepped into it and activated it himself.

Before leaving, he left a clone behind. Once his true self arrived at the destination, the clone destroyed the array with a single palm strike.

He had a bold idea: to smash every teleportation array in all the ancient cities of Xi Mo.

Xi Mo was incredibly vast and boundless; even a Da Sheng would need millions of years to fly out, if they could at all.

Imagine the frustration for those Primordial clan members stranded in Xi Mo without any teleportation arrays.

"This idea is brilliant." Ye Chen thought it over and found it more appealing by the second, eventually chuckling to himself in a scheming manner.

Kui Niu and the others exchanged knowing looks, clearly enjoying Ye Chen's mischievous nature.

After a quarter of an hour, Ye Chen emerged from the passage, and his clone in Yinguo City had already obliterated the teleportation array.

"You'll need a map of Xi Mo's ancient cities." Xi Zun projected a divine sense imprint into a jade stone and handed it to Ye Chen, then continued sipping his wine leisurely.

"How thoughtful." Ye Chen smiled, crushed the jade stone, and absorbed the divine sense into his own sea of consciousness. To his surprise, it contained a full map of Xi Mo.

With the map, his task became much easier. The ancient cities were marked and linked together.

He was determined to destroy all the teleportation arrays, leaving the eight clans to fly out after their battles.

Half an hour later, he set off again, heading to Zaohua Gucheng, which had a large teleportation array.

Along the way, he encountered many Primordial clan members locked in fierce combat and conveniently dealt with a few, saving them for future use.

As for the human cultivators, there were plenty—mostly Da Shengs and Zhun Di—who had slipped in to fish in troubled waters. Fortune favored the bold, and with the eight Primordial clans fighting so intensely, there were opportunities to gain something.

Ye Chen had high hopes for these people; they always found ways to make money and were quite self-reliant.

Soon after, he slipped into Zaohua City. The place was lively, shrouded in Primordial aura, but he ignored it all, left a clone, and his true self entered the teleportation passage.

Less than a quarter of an hour later, Zaohua Gucheng's teleportation array was reduced to rubble, and the Primordial clan members were none the wiser.

In the following period, Ye Chen became even more elusive, like a ghost haunting one ancient city after another.

Shortly after he left each one, the teleportation array was destroyed.

In less than half a day, dozens of arrays in key hub cities were wrecked.

While the eight Primordial clans battled fiercely, he worked diligently.

On another dark night, he entered a teleportation passage and chugged wine heartily, a look of pure satisfaction on his face.

"I can't wait to see the eight clans' faces when they realize all the teleportation arrays are gone." Li Changsheng's eyes sparkled with excitement.

"They'll curse up a storm for sure, and might even start another fight." Kui Niu stroked his chin, his expression deeply thoughtful.

"In another day, the entire Xi Mo network will collapse." Ye Chen gripped the map, estimating roughly.

"The outside battle has stopped." Xi Zun remarked.

Hearing this, Ye Chen immediately looked up, activating his Six Paths Reincarnation Eye to peer through the passage into the outside world.

Indeed, as Xi Zun said, the eight Primordial clans had ceased fighting.

Ye Chen frowned, clearly seeing the clans regrouping. Though they glared at each other, they weren't continuing the assault.

"What's going on? It's over already?" Kui Niu frowned, sensing something ominous.

In the outside world, high in the void sky, the eight clans' Zhun Di gathered, their faces icy and their forms battered.

The eight Zhun Di holding Di Bing all stared at a black-robed figure—it was a Zhun Di, more precisely, Shangshan Zhenren, who was also in Xi Mo.

"Are you certain it was Chen Ye's doing?" Teng She demanded coldly.

"It's obvious." Shangshan Zhenren smirked, waving his hand to summon a massive water screen hovering in the air. "This was deduced by my master—absolutely genuine."

The water screen displayed Ye Chen disguised as a Teng She member, sowing discord and sparking the war between the two clans.

"Bastard." Teng She and Qiu Yu roared in fury upon seeing it; their clans' conflict was all due to Chen Ye's meddling.

"Damn it." The other six clans' Zhun Di thundered in anger, grinding their teeth with ferocious expressions like demons.

The mighty Primordial clans had been played by a mere Sheng, leading to an eight-clan melee with countless casualties. Since their unsealing, they had never suffered such a humiliation.
