Chapter 1533: Tracking Deduction

Chapter 1533: Deduction and Tracking

“Can the Fu Xi Laozu you mentioned really save me?” After hearing their conversation, Ye Chen finally spoke, looking at Yan Laodao. His dim eyes regained some light, as he sensed that Fu Xi might be able to resolve the Zhou Tian issue.

“Defying heaven to change fate is Fu Xi Laozu’s specialty.” Yan Laodao straightened his clothes, even smoothing his hair, standing tall with an air of pride and arrogance.

“Defying heaven to change fate?” Ye Chen felt a surge of astonishment in his heart. What kind of technique was this? It had to be a heaven-defying divine ability.

“Then go find him! Time waits for no one.” Bei Sheng kicked Yan Laodao again, growing irritated by his posturing, which always made her inexplicably want to lash out.

“I really don’t know where the old ancestor is.” Yan Laodao clasped his hands, looking troubled. “I’ve known this kid for over a hundred years. I know he cultivates Zhou Tian and have wanted to find the ancestor to change his fate for him. But after searching for a century, there’s been no trace.”

“No trace?” Bei Sheng furrowed her brows slightly. “You’re not going to tell me your ancestor is dead, are you?”

“Dead? Not likely.” Yan Laodao stroked his beard. “In my view, he’s probably undergoing a tribulation and entered the mortal world.”

“What method can we use to find him, no matter the cost?”

“No matter the cost?” Yan Laodao raised an eyebrow and sized up Bei Sheng. “You’re going to such lengths for him—who is he to you? Have you fallen for him?”

“His life is mine.”

“Don’t joke around—my life is my own.”

“Have you two slept together?”

“You old Daoist, I came to you for help, not gossip. Believe me, I’ll kick you to death.”

“Let’s get back to business.” Yan Laodao cleared his throat and stopped messing around. “Let me think.”

“Think, and make it quick.” Bei Sheng glared fiercely, her gaze also sweeping over Ye Chen.

Ye Chen felt awkward and deliberately looked away.

Bei Sheng kicked him too, her beautiful eyes flashing with sparks, and a faint blush appeared on her cheeks.

Earlier, she had blurted that out in a moment of urgency, but now she felt a bit embarrassed thinking about it.

Still, her desire to save Ye Chen was undeniable. She didn’t know why she felt so anxious, as her proud demeanor was now rippled with emotion.

Perhaps this was what they called the stirrings of first love.

Ye Chen had no idea what she was thinking. He acted carefree, hands clasped behind his back, as if nothing had happened.

Meanwhile, Yan Laodao kept stroking his beard repeatedly, muttering to himself endlessly.

Ye Chen glanced at him and tentatively asked Bei Sheng, “Defying heaven to change fate—does Fu Xi really have that kind of power? What’s his background exactly?”

“You’ve never heard of the Ren Wang Fu Xi?”

“Never.”

“Then you must have heard of the Ren Huang, right?”

“Of course. At the dawn of chaos, he was the second great emperor of the myriad realms after Pangu Dadi.”

“Fu Xi is a strand of the Ren Huang’s soul. The Ren Huang is called Fu Xi, and he follows suit, taking the Dao title Ren Wang to carry on the great emperor’s glory.”

“A remnant soul of the Ren Huang.” Ye Chen murmured to himself. “So, it’s like Long Ye and Zi Xuan—he’s also called Fu Xi. Who knew there was such a secret? This strand of the Ren Huang’s soul really upholds the emperor’s reputation.”

“The Ren Huang is the progenitor of deduction.” As Ye Chen murmured, Bei Sheng continued, “He created the Yan Tian Ba Gua. The so-called Zhou Tian evolution is just a branch of the Yan Tian Ba Gua. The Ren Huang excels at defying heaven to change fate, and as the progenitor of deduction, his remnant soul likely inherited some of that true essence. It might be useful.”

“I see.” Ye Chen’s eyes brightened again, and his scattered energy lifted.

If they could find the Ren Wang Fu Xi, there might be a turnaround. He wouldn’t have to keep reacting passively under the Zhou Tian.

This was indeed good news, just like the truth he often mentioned: No matter how slim the hope, in the face of despair, it holds endless possibilities.

Thinking of this, he couldn’t help but glance at the old Daoist.

“Finding Fu Xi Laozu isn’t impossible.” Yan Laodao stroked his beard and pondered.

He looked at Ye Chen. “Using my Zhu Tian Zhui Zong technique combined with your Zhou Tian evolution, there might be a chance—but it’s only a possibility.”

“Then let’s try it.” Ye Chen stood up abruptly.

“I knew you had a way.” Bei Sheng smiled.

“Come with me!” Yan Laodao stood up with his hands clasped, not bothering with the door—he jumped straight out the window.

Ye Chen and Bei Sheng exchanged a glance and followed one after another.

The three of them arrived at a corner of Chi Yue Gu Cheng, spending three hundred yuan stones to rent a small garden.

Bei Sheng took the initiative, setting up a divine barrier as soon as they entered, completely isolating the garden.

“Wait a moment.” Yan Laodao found an open space, took out his storage bag, and began pulling out items.

His things included yellow talismans, Ba Gua mirrors, peach wood swords, and the like—nothing was missing.

Soon, he started setting up a formation: a Yin Yang Ba Gua array, surrounded by ancient spirit flags.

“Impressive.” Not just Ye Chen, but Bei Sheng’s eyes also lit up. The Yin Yang Ba Gua was profound, evolving on its own, and neither of them could discern its secrets.

“You, sit in the Yin Gua.” Yan Laodao finished and clapped his hands, pushing Ye Chen into the array.

Ye Chen entered and sat cross-legged in the Yin Gua of the Ba Gua.

Yan Laodao stepped forward and sat in the Yang Gua.

Then, a drop of fresh blood flew out from between Yan Laodao’s brows, hovering between them—it was Fu Xi’s blood.

“Activate your Zhou Tian evolution and coordinate with my Zhu Tian Zhui Zong.” Yan Laodao said lightly, pushing his palm toward the drop of Fu Xi’s blood, with mysterious light flickering in his palm.

Ye Chen did as instructed, extending his hand toward the drop of blood and running his Zhou Tian evolution to assist Yan Laodao.

The blood of Fu Xi trembled—it was extraordinary. Upon closer inspection, a shadowy figure appeared within the blood.

That was Fu Xi, but only his back was visible, blurred and hazy, yet it inspired endless imagination.

Bei Sheng watched quietly, her beautiful eyes narrowed, fixed on that drop of blood. The blood of the Ren Wang Fu Xi was overwhelmingly dominant.

As a descendant of the Jiuli, she felt her bloodline stirring.

Ye Chen and Yan Laodao remained silent, both closing their eyes.

As the Zhu Tian Zhui Zong and Zhou Tian evolution worked together, their faces turned pale, and blood seeped from the corners of their mouths.

After all, the person they were deducing and tracking was a genuine quasi-emperor, a remnant soul of the Ren Huang, so they would suffer terrifying backlash.

At some point, the drop of Fu Xi’s blood burst with brilliant light, like an ancient immortal ray piercing the sky.

Suddenly, the sky changed, and the stars vanished. A blurry water screen appeared in the heavens.

The screen reflected a vast expanse of mountains and rivers, with boundless territory, though its location was unknown.

Yan Laodao was the first to open his eyes, staggering to his feet and looking up at the water screen. “The old ancestor is right here.”

“Where is this?” Bei Sheng asked Yan Laodao, puzzled.

“I don’t know.” Yan Laodao shook his head. “Our cultivation is too shallow; we can only deduce this far. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly.”

As he spoke, Ye Chen also opened his eyes, coughing up blood and shakily standing up to gaze at the water screen.

At a glance, his eyes narrowed sharply.

What appeared in the water screen was Da Chu—that vast landscape was etched into his bones from past experiences.

“Why is it Da Chu?” Ye Chen frowned. “The Ren Wang Fu Xi’s tribulation body is actually in Da Chu.”

“How did he get there? From where? And when?” A series of questions filled Ye Chen’s mind, shrouded in mystery.

This was baffling. Da Chu had previously been isolated from the myriad realms, with no one able to cross its barrier.

“Like Senior Jiang Taixu, did he pass through a spatial black hole?” Ye Chen murmured to himself, thinking this guess made the most sense.

“If so, Donghuang Tai Xin should know about it.” Ye Chen pondered silently. “She knew Fu Xi’s tribulation body was in Da Chu, so why didn’t she have him help me defy heaven and change fate? She should be aware that I cultivate Zhou Tian.”

“Or perhaps even Donghuang Tai Xin doesn’t know Fu Xi’s tribulation went to Da Chu—he must have evaded the heavenly reincarnation cycle?”

Ye Chen kept murmuring, his mind a tangle of confusion.

He recognized it as Da Chu, but that didn’t mean Yan Laodao and Bei Sheng did—they had never seen it before.

The two of them had already pulled out maps, comparing them one by one in hopes of identifying the scene in the water screen.

“With just this image, finding the exact location is like searching for a needle in the sea.” Bei Sheng said while searching. “Xuan Huang is vast, and the myriad realms are even larger. This search is no easier than fishing in the ocean.”

“The progenitor of Yan Tian naturally comes with innate concealment. For us to track even an image is already defying heaven.” Yan Laodao coughed up blood, his face paling again from the backlash of the deduction and tracking.

“The myriad realms are so immense—how do we find it with just an image?”

“The old ancestor’s tribulation body isn’t something ordinary people can find.”
