Chapter 1529: Two Balls

Ye Chen retreated, and the world instantly became much quieter.

Outside Ling Shan, space was in chaos, with the vast sky and earth scarred and devastated, adding a touch of blood to the Buddhist pure land.

"According to my calculations, the Holy Body's next stop should be Bei Yue." Shadows of people surged like tides, and the old divine tricksters stroked their beards, their expressions full of profound meaning.

"Xuan Huang Star Sea, Yao Chi grand event, Dong Huang Ancient City, ancient relics, Nan Yu wanted list, Xi Mo Ling Shan—the five major domains of Xuan Huang, and only Bei Yue left to stir up trouble."

"The Holy Body truly brings excitement wherever he goes, with each incident more intense than the last. Such a junior brings me great satisfaction."

"This time, he publicly killed at least fifty or more divine sons and remnants. What a massive sin he's created."

Discussions rose and fell, accompanied by sighs and exclamations of astonishment.

What was supposed to be a proper Dharma lecture at Ling Shan had its main protagonist, Shakyamuni, not even appearing yet, but it started with an opening spectacle.

These monstrous juniors were exceptionally fierce, turning a group fight into utter chaos and overshadowing the Dharma lecture.

"Kill! Kill! Kill!" The divine sons who had been hunted earlier all had bloodshot eyes, ferocious expressions, and gritted teeth as if ready to murder, their bodies trembling uncontrollably.

It was a great humiliation, an utter disgrace. So many monsters like them had actually been chased and beaten by one person, shattering their arrogance completely.

"I must avenge my imperial brother." Feng Xian had an absolutely beautiful face, but her expression was the most sinister, devoid of any noble grace as a Phoenix Clan princess—she looked like a malevolent ghost.

Even now, she had not recognized her own mistakes. All this chaos originated from her.

If not for her coveting the Phoenix Immortal Robe, there would have been no grudge with the Holy Body, and no subsequent bloody calamities in the rear sea.

Her arrogance and willful bullying had led to the downfall of many heavenly talents and monsters, one after another, at the hands of the Holy Body.

Among them was her imperial brother, the Phoenix Divine Son.

Perhaps she did not know that before the Phoenix Divine Son died, he resented the Holy Body, but he was also furious with her—it was because of her that he ended up in the underworld.

Dong!

Suddenly, a resounding bell toll echoed from Ling Shan, piercing the nine heavens with its Buddhist serenity and majesty.

The bell's sound instantly silenced the sighs and exclamations. Everyone present turned their gazes toward Ling Shan.

They had almost forgotten that today was Shakyamuni's Dharma lecture—he was the true protagonist, and with the prelude over, the main act was about to begin.

Shakyamuni Venerable was already seated in meditation at the peak of Ling Shan, his demeanor dignified and solemn, surrounded by strands of Buddhist radiance. Behind him loomed a massive golden Buddha, its light spreading in all directions, illuminating all beings.

He began to speak, his words compassionate yet powerful and vast.

The Buddhist chants echoed through the heavens, carrying supreme Dharma and an irresistible, supreme magical force.

All who heard it felt their minds gradually calm, shedding their killing intent and violence, instinctively sitting in meditation to listen to the Dharma, like devout followers.

Xi Mo, because of this Buddhist sound, became even more solemn and peaceful, with Shakyamuni's words inspiring all beings to bow in worship.

"Buddhism is indeed profound and vast." On this side, Ye Chen had already escaped through a teleportation portal and appeared in a mountain range. He quietly gazed toward Ling Shan from afar, still able to hear the Buddhist chants. His expression showed both reverence and caution.

"The power of all beings' thoughts is endless—whether it's a blessing or a curse, who can say?" Xiao Chen murmured lightly, his brows slightly furrowed.

"My head's buzzing." Kui Niu shook his bull head and popped a pill into his mouth. After battling the Immortal Clan divine son, he was quite injured and not at full strength.

"This time, I truly thank you, my friend, for your rescue." Slowly withdrawing his gaze, Xiao Chen sincerely cupped his hands toward Ye Chen. "Without you, I would have struggled to settle this blood debt."

"We're brothers, so no need for formalities." Ye Chen smiled and flicked a strand of immortal light toward him.

The immortal light was incredibly fast—even Xiao Chen, with his speed, couldn't react in time. It pierced his brow and entered his sea of consciousness.

A low grunt escaped him, and Xiao Chen clutched his head.

Kui Niu was stunned, unsure what Ye Chen had done to Xiao Chen.

Ye Chen just chuckled lightly and pulled out all the storage bags he carried, which were spoils from the recent group fight.

These heavenly talents and monsters had an impressive quantity and quality of treasures—this was a massive fortune.

"That wolf-tooth club—I like it." Yan Long in the cauldron grinned, eyeing a Saint-level weapon.

"I really appreciate your style." Ye Chen casually tossed it to Yan Long. The looted treasures were meant to be shared among the reincarnated ones—he was never stingy.

After sorting the treasures, he pulled out a wine flask and handed one to Kui Niu as well.

"What's going on with him?" Kui Niu asked in confusion.

"Nothing much." Ye Chen shrugged casually.

Kui Niu scratched his head but didn't press further. As he drank, he looked at Zhan Ti Xiao Chen with a strange expression.

It wasn't until some time later that Xiao Chen's body stopped trembling. His deep eyes were filled with tears.

He had unlocked the seal of his past life and recalled his previous memories. His name was Xiao Chen, the rightful son of the War King.

"Good brother." Even with the mindset of the War King's son, he couldn't suppress his emotions and hugged Ye Chen tightly.

He could hardly believe that reincarnation existed. In an instant, two hundred years had passed, and time evoked such gan kai.

"When the time comes, we'll return to our homeland together." Ye Chen smiled with a touch of world-weariness, and between old comrades, everything was understood without words.

Soon, a large iron pot was set up, with roaring flames beneath it, stewing Jiaolong meat. The aroma of wine and meat filled the air.

Kui Niu was completely baffled, watching one ancient Holy Body and one Thunder War Body—one moment crying, the next laughing. The scene was just odd, leaving him utterly confused.

Ye Chen was fine with it—he had experienced reunions with reincarnated ones too many times, turning the excitement into something ordinary.

Xiao Chen, however, still had tears flickering in his eyes.

His expression was filled with gan kai, nostalgia, excitement, and shock. Ye Chen's ability to find Xuan Huang proved many things—he had slain an emperor and settled the blood debt.

This was a heaven-defying feat—who would have thought someone could kill a true emperor, not just a Dao manifestation?

Ye Chen's achievements were unprecedented, a true myth.

Later, the two talked about many things, such as matters in Da Chu, the reincarnated ones, and his father, the War King.

The War King was still alive, and all the Da Chu sovereigns were too, which thrilled Xiao Chen with this unexpected joy.

The War King halberd in his hand also hummed, as if after years of wandering, it had finally found its master and a home.

Amid the scents of wine and meat, night fell.

That guy Yan Long also came out, astonishing Xiao Chen. A second later, he gave him a tight hug.

Yan Long felt awkward—with so many Da Chu reincarnated ones, some noble, some with heaven-defying bloodlines, it seemed any one of them was stronger than him.

As fellow reincarnated ones, why was the gap so wide?

"Come on, Lao Ba, big brother has a gift for you." Kui Niu was drunk and silly, draping an arm over Xiao Chen's shoulder while holding a radiant divine pearl.

"Lao Ba?" Xiao Chen was stunned, his expression odd.

"Sworn brothers—I'm seventh, and we're including you." Ye Chen couldn't help but smile.

"This is really fresh." Xiao Chen chuckled dryly.

"Wow, it smells so good!" As soon as Xiao Chen spoke, a giggle rang out, and space twisted as a little girl emerged, her eyes gleaming at the large iron pot.

This girl was undoubtedly Di Jia Jiu Xian. She made herself right at home, rolling up her sleeves and fishing out meat from the pot.

"What a sharp nose." Kui Niu sighed.

"Xi Yan?" Xiao Chen raised an eyebrow and looked at Ye Chen.

"It's not Xi Yan—just someone who looks similar." Ye Chen smiled. He truly wished Di Jiu Xian were Xi Yan, but unfortunately, they were two different people.

"She really resembles your disciple, in appearance, temperament, and nature." Xiao Chen laughed.

"You're something else, Ye Chen!" Xiao Jiu Xian chimed in, without a hint of feminine modesty, her use of the word "diao" making both Ye Chen and Xiao Chen awkward. She was indeed mischievous.

"I'm diao too." Kui Niu smoothed his hair.

"You can't even beat me—go cool off somewhere."

"I can't stand this kind of talk—I've got a bad temper."

"Hey, where did everyone run off to? Turns out you're all here eating meat!" More people burst out of space—not just one, but a whole group.

This group was undoubtedly Long Jie and his companions. They had keen noses, always finding people accurately.

"Damn, Jiaolong meat." Long Jie’s face darkened instantly. Even if not the same race, it was still a branch of the dragon lineage.

"Dragon meat is delicious." Kui Niu said, shaking his head.

"Come on, come on—if you're not eating, don't block the way." The Wu Clan divine son and Man Clan divine son, those big guys, shoved Long Jie aside and dug in heartily.

Long Jie's face darkened again, feeling an urge to flip the pot, but he thought better of it and stopped.

He set up his own large iron pot, lit roaring flames, and started stewing—beef, no less.

"Hey!" Kui Niu's temper flared up immediately.

"Wow, meat to eat!" It got even livelier as Bai Hu and Xuan Wu arrived, another whole group.

"This world is so small—you always run into people you don't want to see." Long Jie glanced at Xuan Wu and the others, then at Qing Long, his tone far from friendly.

"The Cang Long family is still as detestable as ever." Qing Long snorted coldly, his face even darker than expected.

"Since you're here, let's settle old and new grudges together." Long Jie stood up abruptly, his aura surging.

"As if I'm afraid of you." Qing Long's aura was no weaker.

"A fight? We're not scared." The Ling Clan divine maiden joined in, and with her move, the Wu Clan divine son, Gu Clan divine maiden, and Man Clan divine son were all stirred up—one big chain reaction.

"What, bullying us because we're short-handed?" Bai Hu, Xuan Wu, and Zhu Que stood up together, ready for a group brawl, like needles against wheat.

The atmosphere grew tense, the gunpowder thicker than the wine scent.

"Fight, quick, fight—I want to watch!" Xiao Jiu Xian stirred the pot, waving her hands and cheering.

"I say, drinking and eating is fine, but no fighting." Ye Chen spoke up, rubbing his brow hard.

"Exactly, is this any way to act? You two, always picking fights— you're from the same ancestors, so why be so hot-tempered?" Kui Niu pouted.

"Five against four—who's afraid?" Long Jie and Qing Long acted as if they hadn't heard, with the Wu Clan divine son shouting the loudest.

"Just you? I could take ten of you."

"Hey, my temper's flaring."

"This is getting lively!" Just as both sides were about to clash, Nan Di appeared out of nowhere.

This guy was straightforward, rolling up his sleeves without a word, not treating himself as an outsider at all.

Seeing Nan Di, the Wu Clan divine son backed down on the spot.

Clearly, the princes and princesses of the Nan Yu five great royal clans had arrived. Against their ancient nine clans' five clans' divine sons and maidens, it was five against five—they stood no chance.

"What, chickening out?" Bai Hu howled.

"Chickening out my ass!" The Man Clan divine son was explosive and never backed down, immediately swinging his axe.

"We're here to drink, not fight." Nan Di waved his hand. "And there's a big shot squatting here."

As he spoke, Nan Di glanced at Ye Chen.

Ye Chen played along, pulling out a Quasi-Emperor sword, huffing on it, and wiping it with his sleeve. "I didn't get my fill of fighting today—I wouldn't mind another round."

His words made everyone's mouths twitch collectively, and their hearts skipped a beat together.

They had witnessed Ye Chen's ferocity today—if he went berserk, everyone present would get beaten.

His dominant intervention made the group ready to fight back down. With a Quasi-Emperor sword in hand, they had no choice.

"That's more like it!" Kui Niu grinned.

"Drink up." Long Jie and Qing Long both sat down, truly forming two groups—one guarding their iron pot, the other theirs.

"Boring." Seeing no fight, Xiao Jiu Xian pouted, her eyes lighting up as she looked to one side— an unparalleled beauty had arrived.

That woman was indeed stunning, pure and flawless under the moonlight. Upon closer look, wasn't it Bei Sheng?
