Chapter 1506: Sealed

The outside world was bustling with activity, but the space black hole was desolate and ice-cold, a pitch-black void that evoked sheer terror.

Ye Chen was like a beam of immortal light, adding a touch of brilliance to the black hole. Since entering it, he hadn't stopped for a moment—what he was doing was essentially fleeing. The Kunpeng Clan possessed Di Bing, and there was no guarantee they couldn't break through the black hole.

He ran wildly for an unknown length of time before finally coming to a halt, seeing no unusual signs in the black hole, and only then slowing to a stop.

He pulled out his wine flask and took several large gulps, his heart filled with lingering fear. It was as if he had just walked through the gates of hell. The series of unexpected events had caught him completely off guard, nearly leading to his demise.

Fortunately, he had escaped with his life. With one Liu Dao Xian Lun Yan, he had outwitted a Zhun Di-level opponent—it was precisely because of Kunpeng Laozu's carelessness that he had been given a chance to survive. Otherwise, he would have been killed instantly.

After finishing the flask, he patted the great cauldron and released the awakened Kunpeng Taizi.

"Who exactly are you?" Kunpeng Taizi roared madly the moment he was freed. His eyes, once golden, were now blood-red, filled with nothing but ferocity.

Everything in the cave had happened so abruptly. A great cauldron had caught his attention, and in an instant, he was struck. When he regained consciousness, he realized he had been tricked, and he could not tolerate it.

Ye Chen sneered and sent his Yuan Shen out of his body, revealing his true form. He bared his snow-white teeth at Kunpeng Taizi. "Kunpeng Clan Taizi, it's been a while. Have you thought of me at all?"

"You're... Ye Chen." Kunpeng Taizi's eyes bulged, and his pupils contracted to pinpricks, his face a mask of disbelief. His expression mirrored that of the Jinwu from the past.

"It's me." Ye Chen's eyes were full of chilling intent as he raised his palm and pressed it against Kunpeng Taizi's Tianling Gai, activating Tun Tian Mo Gong and the Soul Search secret technique. "You must know that blood debts must be repaid in blood."

"Impossible! This is impossible! You're clearly already dead." Kunpeng Taizi howled hysterically, his voice mixed with cries of pain, sounding like a malevolent ghost from Jiu You.

Only at this moment did he realize who had plotted against the Jinwu and, by extension, the Kunpeng Clan. It was no one else but the Huang Gu Sheng Ti, Ye Chen, come to collect his due.

As his enemy, he was shocked—shocked that Ye Chen was still alive, and shocked that Ye Chen had the audacity to infiltrate the Kunpeng Clan to capture him. He himself could never have done such a thing.

In less than three breaths, his divine body collapsed, his bloodline completely devoured, and his origin unable to escape the calamity. Even his domineering Yuan Shen was twisted and mangled, its pure Yuan Shen power being consumed.

On the brink of death, he was afraid. He roared and bellowed, truly understanding what regret meant. He regretted provoking Ye Chen, regretted harming his old friends, leading to his own demise and the destruction of his path. This had even affected his clan, bringing shame to the Kunpeng Clan and making him a sinner for eternity.

His painful roars soon faded away. The mighty Kunpeng Taizi perished in terror and rage, his noble status and domineering bloodline turning to dust in the passage of time.

"In your next life, don't provoke those you shouldn't." Gazing at the scattering ashes, Ye Chen's expression was indifferent, though his form had aged slightly. With his great vengeance achieved, the determination that had sustained him began to dissipate, and a few wrinkles appeared at the corners of his eyes, evoking a sense of heartache.

"Come on, let me out for a drink with you." A voice came from the cauldron—it was Yan Long speaking.

"Drink my foot." Ye Chen cursed, returning to normal as he stuffed a bag of Dan Yao into the cauldron. Along with it, he added half of the Kunpeng and Jinwu bloodlines and origins.

"This is good." Yan Long grinned, not mentioning the drink at all as he directly swallowed the bloodlines and origins. These were heavenly treasures, and for someone with his ordinary bloodline, they would greatly boost his combat power.

Ye Chen ignored him and immediately escaped the space black hole, appearing in a range of mountains.

Hmm? The moment he emerged, he sensed something was off about the world. It felt as if a mysterious and powerful force was suppressing everything, making the space far more stable and incredibly hard to break.

Instinctively, he looked up at the void and spotted the Wan Zu Tong Ji Ling at first glance. It crackled with thunder, manifesting the might of the Ji Dao Di Wei, weighing down the eternal blue sky and creating an oppressive atmosphere. The eight prominent characters on it were strikingly clear: "Sheng Ti Bu Si, Wan Zu Bu Xiu."

As he gazed, he suddenly clutched his left eye, blood seeping through his fingers.

He let out a painful roar, his divine sea buzzing and his skull feeling like it might split open. He was being backlashed by the Wan Zu Tong Ji Ling monument—or more precisely, by the Di Wei, which targeted the Liu Dao Xian Yan.

In an instant, an ancient divine pattern appeared on the pupil of his left eye. It wasn't the Xian Yan sealing itself, but rather the Xian Yan being sealed by an ancient curse—the curse of nine Di Bing.

"Ye Chen." Yan Long crawled out from the cauldron, having just been in seclusion when Ye Chen's roar awakened him.

"The Wan Zu Tong Ji Ling really thinks highly of me." Ye Chen clutched his head and roared, his face contorted in agony and a hint of savagery. The sudden curse had caught him off guard.

He recognized this Wan Zu Tong Ji Ling from the memories of Jinwu and Kunpeng. It was a terrifying form of pursuit, an absolute vow of no rest until death. Throughout history, it had rarely been used, and anyone who triggered it was no simple figure, much like the Tun Tian Mo Zun.

A breeze blew, and the staggering Ye Chen nearly collapsed. The curse of the nine Di Bing left the Xian Yan with no room to resist, its seal so domineering it was beyond imagination.

He could easily guess that at this moment, the major ancient cities in Nan Yu were likely surrounded by experts from various clans, with another group scouring the area to trap him alive in Nan Yu. To achieve this, they had even used nine Di Bing to curse his Xian Yan, cutting off any chance of using heavenly paths.

He had miscalculated. He hadn't anticipated the upheaval in the Kunpeng Clan, hadn't foreseen the Wan Zu Tong Ji Ling being issued, and certainly hadn't expected them to target his Xian Yan with such a powerful curse.

Without further thought, he dove into the ground, carving out a cave and sitting cross-legged inside.

"Nan Yu is vast; they can't possibly seal every exit. You could still leave without using the ancient city's transmission arrays," Yan Long said, peeking out from the cauldron's mouth, his eyes full of worry as he looked at Ye Chen.

"You also said Nan Yu is endlessly vast. Without a transmission array, even if I fly until I drop dead, I couldn't escape it," Ye Chen replied, wiping the fresh blood from his mouth, feeling utterly frustrated.

"Then what do we do?" Yan Long scratched his head. "With your Xian Yan sealed, if you're caught, you'll definitely be ganged up on—probably by a group of Zhun Di. It's a death sentence."

"If I'd known this would happen, I shouldn't have gone for the ransom; I should have just raided the Kunpeng home to grab Kunpeng Taizi directly." Ye Chen rubbed his brow fiercely. "One accident has led to so many complications."

"I think the most reliable option is to seek help from the Kongque Family or the Sheng Yuan Family," Yan Long shared his thoughts. "It shouldn't be hard for their Zhun Di to unseal your Xian Yan."

"We might think of that, and so will they." Ye Chen shook his head. "You don't even need to check; the perimeters around the Kongque Clan and Sheng Yuan Clan are already swarming with people, just waiting for me to walk into the trap. Even if I find a Zhun Di, they won't be able to break the Xian Yan seal. The Di Bing's curse is too overbearing."
