Chapter 1442: Open Your Eyes With Me

Chapter 1442: Yu Ni Kai Kai Yan

The sky was dark as Ye Chen emerged from the Di Gong, appearing in the Mo Tu. He looked back at the massive altar behind him.

The altar was slowly dissipating, indicating that the entrance to the foreign space Di Gong was completely sealed off. No one could enter again, as no one could find the entrance, not to mention that the Mo Ding Qi Ling had sealed itself off.

In his heart, Ye Chen held a glimmer of hope: that Tun Tian Mo Zun would reappear in the world, and that Jiang Taixu might also have a chance to revive. If these two great heroes from the Hong Huang era met again one day, it would surely be filled with emotion.

After one last glance at the Mo Tu, he slowly turned around, only to see a person streaking across the sky and landing in this section of Mo Tu. The figure was clad in a blood-red robe, with no aura revealed, but it was clear they were extremely powerful.

Ye Chen raised an eyebrow, and a cold smile flashed at the corner of his mouth, because he recognized this person.

Earlier, he had chased the Yao Clan Shen Zi to a blood sea, where he was forced to retreat by a blood-robed Zhun Di beneath the sea. And the one who had just landed in the Mo Tu was precisely that blood-robed Zhun Di, who had emerged from the blood sea.

"In that blood sea, an ancient formation provided protection, so I couldn't touch you. But since you've come out on your own, it's time to settle the score."

If anyone else heard these words, their heart would skip a beat. After all, this was a genuine Zhun Di, whose cultivation had been suppressed to the Zhun Sheng level, but still not someone ordinary could contend with.

As he spoke, the blood-robed Zhun Di walked slowly forward, his pair of blood-red eyes scanning all around, as if searching for treasures. When he caught sight of Ye Chen, he couldn't help but size him up, but he didn't recognize him.

The blood-robed Zhun Di didn't recognize Ye Chen, but Ye Chen knew him. Even though he had secret techniques to conceal his aura, under the Six Paths Immortal Eyes, all his disguises were useless.

What disappointed Ye Chen was that only the blood-robed Zhun Di was here; the Yao Clan Shen Zi was nowhere to be seen. If the Yao Clan Shen Zi had come too, it would have been perfect—one against two, and he was confident of a complete victory.

"Have you found any treasures?"

The blood-robed Zhun Di glanced imperiously at Ye Chen, his tone commanding and authoritative, as if issuing an order rather than asking a question.

"Don't say it, but I actually did find something. Let me open your eyes to it."

Ye Chen waved his hand and summoned the Hun Dun Da Ding.

The moment the cauldron appeared, the blood-robed Zhun Di's eyes lit up. With his Zhun Di-level insight, he could immediately see how extraordinary this cauldron was—it was no ordinary artifact.

"It's forged from Da Luo Shen Tie." The blood-robed Zhun Di was overjoyed. When he saw the intertwining Hun Dun Qi and the power of sentient beings' thoughts inside the cauldron, his eyes brightened again. "What a treasure."

"Of course it's a treasure, but it's mine."

Ye Chen smiled leisurely, revealing two rows of white teeth. A divine light flickered at his brow, and the Nine Dao Shen Shang instantly merged, buzzing and trembling mightily.

The blood-robed Zhun Di snapped out of his daze and turned sharply, only to collide head-on with a brilliant divine light.

It was a shocking sight—a majestic Zhun Di caught completely off guard. The divine light pierced into his divine sea, severely wounding his primordial spirit and nearly splitting his skull. Fresh blood overflowed from his seven orifices.

"You dare ambush me? You deserve to die!"

The blood-robed Zhun Di roared in fury and fled at top speed. Only then did he realize that Ye Chen pulling out the cauldron was a trap, and he had fallen right into it.

"Where do you think you're going?"

Ye Chen took a step forward and chased after him, unleashing a peerless sword strike that obliterated half of the other's physical body.

The blood-robed Zhun Di let out an angry roar but didn't dare stop. The Nine Dao Shen Shang was overwhelmingly dominant, and with his primordial spirit heavily damaged and his mind in chaos, he couldn't muster his full power to fight back—he had no choice but to escape.

Ye Chen's vital energy surged as he shadowed his prey. For every step the blood-robed Zhun Di retreated, Ye Chen advanced one. Once he caught up, he wouldn't say a word and would go all out to finish him.

The blood-robed Zhun Di was in a pathetic state. From the moment he was ambushed, he was relentlessly pursued and beaten. His Zhun Di-level body was battered into a bloody, mangled mess, no longer resembling a human form.

Ye Chen showed no mercy, striking with one sword after another without pause, each aimed to kill.

"Who the hell are you?"

As he fled backward, the blood-robed Zhun Di roared in anger. He tried to suppress the killing intent of the Nine Dao Shen Shang while activating his Tong Tian Eye to see through Ye Chen's true appearance, but he failed.

"Have you forgotten that blood sea?"

Ye Chen shouted coldly and charged forward with another dominating sword strike.

"It's you!"

The blood-robed Zhun Di's hair was disheveled, his face twisted in ferocity. Only then did he realize that Ye Chen was the one who had chased the Yao Clan Shen Zi. He had been forced to retreat in the blood sea, and now they met again.

"Debts always get paid in the end."

Ye Chen pursued once more, summoning the Hun Dun Da Ding and infusing it with sealing secret techniques and Hun Dun Dao principles, crushing the blood-robed Zhun Di's body until it cracked.

Without a second thought, the blood-robed Zhun Di abandoned his mangled physical body and escaped as a primordial spirit. He burned his primordial spirit power and activated forbidden arts, shooting away like a streak of eternal immortal light into the night sky.

"I underestimated you."

Ye Chen soared into the sky, like a golden divine light, chasing relentlessly. It was no easy feat to force a Zhun Di to abandon his body—he couldn't let this opportunity slip away.

The two sped through the air, one ahead and one behind, one fleeing and one pursuing. One was like a blood-colored immortal light, the other like a golden divine glow, tracing two dazzling arcs across the pitch-black, ethereal night sky.

The blood-robed Zhun Di was driven mad. As a Zhun Di, he was a colossal figure outside, but in these ruins, he was like a stray dog. His body had been pulverized, his primordial spirit forced out, and now he was being hunted—all by a mere Zhun Sheng.

What a humiliation, an absolute disgrace. A Zhun Di reduced to this state—nothing could be more embarrassing.

Ye Chen was equally relentless, burning his vital energy and chasing with all his might. A Zhun Di was like a walking treasure trove, with an internal space holding all sorts of valuables.

So, to get those Zhun Di-level treasures, he had to push harder. Robbing a Zhun Di was the real jackpot, far more rewarding than plundering Da Sheng or Sheng Wang levels.

Ahead lay a desolate forest, entirely shrouded in Yin fog, with an aura of cold desolation.

The blood-robed Zhun Di stepped into it, and Ye Chen followed without hesitation, swinging a sword that missed its mark.

Perhaps both were too focused on the chase and escape to notice the strangeness of this desolate forest.

The Yin fog in the forest billowed thickly, a gray haze everywhere. There were many ancient trees, all twisted into bizarre shapes, along with scattered giant stones of odd forms, some stained with dried blood.

Below, the ground was a sea of blood, with half-buried bones scattered about, eroded by time into dust. In the gloomy wind, wails and moans echoed.

It was as if this wasn't a desolate forest at all, but a hellish realm. If you looked closely, you could even see vengeful spirits formed from resentment, clawing and roaring at the heavens.

Deep in the desolate forest, the blood-robed Zhun Di halted, firing a bolt of lightning from his brow straight at Ye Chen's primordial spirit.

Ye Chen didn't dodge or evade; once again, the Nine Dao Shen Shang shot from his divine sea, brushing past the lightning. He was hit by the lightning, but the blood-robed Zhun Di was struck by the Shen Shang.

As expected, the one injured was clear: Ye Chen was protected by the Feng Huang Immortal Guard, which obliterated the lightning, but the blood-robed elder suffered terribly, struck by the Nine Dao Shen Shang and plummeting on the spot.

"Suppress!"

Ye Chen shouted coldly, driving the Hun Dun Da Ding downward like a mountain crashing down. The blood-robed Zhun Di had just gotten up when he was smashed staggering, nearly collapsing.

"Get up!"

The blood-robed Zhun Di refused to be suppressed and forcibly resisted the Hun Dun Da Ding. He summoned his natal artifact, a terrifying blood-colored killing sword, and slashed it toward the heavens at Ye Chen.

The Hun Dun Da Ding protected its master, blocking the blood-colored killing sword. The two clashed fiercely in the void.

Ye Chen locked onto the blood-robed Zhun Di and struck with a sword fused with Tian Lei and Xian Huo, splitting his primordial spirit.

"Kill!"

The blood-robed Zhun Di reformed his primordial spirit and surged forward with a vast blood sea, sweeping across the sky.

"You're far from my level, even at the Zhun Sheng stage."

Ye Chen's momentum swallowed the heavens as he transformed into a golden divine dragon, thrashing in the blood sea, tearing it apart. He punched the blood-robed Zhun Di, shattering his primordial spirit.

"You're the Huang Gu Sheng Ti."

The blood-robed Zhun Di howled. In that instant, he recognized Ye Chen's identity.

"So what if I am?"

Ye Chen gave him no chance to breathe and pressed down with a palm, manifesting secret techniques in his hand—Xuan Dao Wu Shang and Di Fa Tian Luo, techniques from Qing Yun Lao Zu.

"This is impossible. You're clearly dead."

The blood-robed Zhun Di shrieked. Only now did he understand why he had been defeated so utterly—he was facing the invincible Huang Gu Sheng Ti of the same realm.

Ye Chen said nothing and pounced, unleashing primordial spirit secret techniques. The blood-robed Zhun Di's primordial spirit reformed time and again, only to be broken each time, with its power scattering across the heavens and earth.

The mighty Zhun Di, the blood-robed elder, was on his knees. Without his physical body to support him and with only a half-damaged primordial spirit, how could he stand against Ye Chen? He was sealed in the void, unable to break the heavenly prohibitions.

Ye Chen added several more seals, locking the blood-robed Zhun Di's primordial spirit tightly.

Then, he turned to the other side, helping the Hun Dun Da Ding suppress the blood-colored killing sword. He slapped it away and applied a sealing array. Though the sword was powerful, it couldn't escape being sealed.

The battle came quickly and ended just as fast. The blood-robed Zhun Di was suppressed, and his natal artifact was sealed into the Hun Dun Da Ding. With the general defeated, the soldiers followed suit—this war was over.

The fight could have been brutal, but the blood-robed Zhun Di had been careless, falling into Ye Chen's trap and getting beaten down from the start. Many of his secret techniques never even came into play before he was sealed.

"Your treasures are mine now."

Ye Chen slashed open the space within the blood-robed Zhun Di's body and swept away all the treasures inside. There were so many that he didn't bother counting them on the spot.

"This is impossible! Absolutely impossible!"

The blood-robed Zhun Di was still roaring. The lofty Zhun Di couldn't accept such a crushing defeat—he, a Zhun Di, had been suppressed by a Zhun Sheng.

"There's nothing impossible about it."

Ye Chen raised his arm, and the Ji Mie sword struck down suddenly.

"No! No!"

The blood-robed Zhun Di's eyes bulged as he watched the crimson killing sword descend. He could already smell the aura of Jiu You Huang Quan. Even as a Zhun Di, he hadn't transcended life and death.

In his final moments, he realized what regret truly meant. He regretted provoking Ye Chen in the blood sea, regretted coveting the treasures, leading to his own destruction.

The sword fell, and he was obliterated in a single strike, leaving only echoes of his roars. His primordial spirit power wasn't wasted—it was absorbed by the Hun Dun Da Ding, becoming nourishment to refine the divine cauldron.

"Clever me, pulling off another big heist."

Ye Chen grinned and summoned the divine cauldron.

But just then, a sword light appeared out of nowhere, soaring from the heavens, cold and destructive.
