Chapter 1134: The Urine Pot
Under the gaze of everyone, Ye Chen had already landed in front of the main hall.
“Apologies, apologies, I’m late,” he said.
“Bringing so many people, no wonder you’re late.” Someone had a strange expression, as if picturing the scene of Ye Chen leading over ten thousand people queuing for teleportation – it must have been quite a sight.
“You still dare to show up.” Before Ye Chen could speak, Yue Zhen barked at him.
“That’s not right, Elder Yue,” Ye Chen replied with a look of feigned surprise. “We are all alchemists from You Du. For a True Person’s birthday celebration, how could we not attend? Or does Ling Dan Ge not welcome us?”
“You—”
“Of course we welcome you.” Yue Zhen was cut off mid-sentence by Ku Yue, who didn’t want to lose face in front of everyone.
“As expected, True Person Ku Yue understands the situation.” Ye Chen glanced at Yue Zhen, then bowed to Ku Yue. “I’ve long heard of your great name, and now that I see you, you truly are an immortal of legend.”
“The master of Dan Fu flatters me.” Ku Yue smiled insincerely, not even bothering to look directly at Ye Chen.
“Come on, come on, make some room.” Ye Chen stepped back, making a fuss that left everyone present bewildered. No one knew what this mysterious master of Dan Fu was up to, not even Ru Tian Zhu Que and Mu Xuan Gong, who watched with curiosity, wondering what surprise Ye Chen had in store.
Suddenly, Ye Chen swept his hand over his storage bag.
Buzz!
With a buzz, an object flew out from Ye Chen’s storage bag.
Wow!
Someone exclaimed on the spot, and everyone’s faces collectively lit up in astonishment.
It wasn't surprising, for the thing Ye Chen had taken out was enormous, as big as a mountain, and it wasn't some treasure or artifact—it was genuinely made of iron and nearly collapsed the great hall of Ling Dan Ge.
What was even more bizarre was that, as if afraid others wouldn't notice its size, it was engraved with a long, boastful, and extravagantly named title: Yu Zhou Chao Ji Wu Di Te Da Lian Dan Lu.
“Is this a refining furnace?” someone asked in surprise.
“I thought it was a urine pot.” Another person stroked their chin.
“Is this a refining furnace or a urine pot?” Yet another eyed the massive object up and down with a strange expression. “If it’s a refining furnace, isn’t it a bit too big? And if it’s a urine pot, that’s just ridiculously enormous—who could use that for how long?”
The expressions on everyone’s faces were quite entertaining, even Ru Tian Zhu Que and Mu Xuan Gong couldn’t help but twitch their mouths.
The scene was truly lively; what was supposed to be a proper birthday banquet now had this huge urine pot as a striking feature.
In an instant, the way people looked at Ye Chen became meaningfully suggestive. This guy really knew how to celebrate a birthday.
As for the alchemists from Dan Fu, they had already started finding seats on their own, squeezing in wherever they could. What were originally tables for six people were forced into ones for sixty, and still, there were a few hundred extra people.
“Scoundrel.” Yue Shan and the others roared in anger, their killing intent overflowing.
“Hey, no need for insults. This is our Dan Fu’s gift—we had over ten thousand people refining it day and night for three days and nights. Tell me, is it big? Is it impressive? Is this sincerity top-notch?” Amid all the amazed gazes, Ye Chen even adjusted his collar with a self-satisfied air.
“You—” Yue Shan and the others nearly choked with rage. Turning a urine pot into a refining furnace—who does that?
“Good, very good.” Ku Yue laughed, his laughter cold, his face darkening. This was a blatant slap in the face! The lofty Ku Yue had never been so publicly humiliated, and especially not at his own birthday banquet.
“I wish True Person Ku Yue a life of boundless longevity,” Ye Chen said, flashing his white teeth.
With that, Ye Chen turned and scanned the scene.
There it is!
After looking around, he headed straight for a table.
That table belonged to the eight great princes, exclusively reserved for them.
Ye Chen boldly squeezed in.
The eight great princes’ faces turned black. Ye Chen’s actions left everyone watching in awe and disbelief—this was one talented troublemaker.
“Master of Dan Fu, since you can lead a pill mansion, your alchemy skills must be quite advanced,” Ye Chen had barely sat down and hadn’t even touched his chopsticks when Ku Yue’s eerie voice rang out.
“Not bad,” Ye Chen shrugged.
“In that case, let’s have a contest,” Ku Yue said coldly.
“That might not be appropriate. It’s your birthday banquet—if we compete in alchemy, people might think I’m here to cause trouble,” Ye Chen said with feigned shock, drawing smirks from the crowd. Wasn’t he exactly here to cause trouble?
“Since it’s my banquet, a little alchemy contest for entertainment is fine,” Ku Yue replied in an ethereal tone. “Does Dan Fu dare?”
“True Person Ku Yue has invited us, how could we refuse?” Ye Chen, who had just sat down, stood up again, looking at Ku Yue with interest. “But how exactly do you want to compete?”
“One side, seven people; first to win four rounds.”
“Straightforward.”
“Since it’s an alchemy contest, why not add some stakes?” Another voice chimed in—it was Xue Yan, the one who had chased Ye Chen before. As Ku Yue’s guest elder, he knew exactly what Ku Yue intended.
“What kind of stakes?” Ye Chen smiled at Xue Yan.
“The losing side must kowtow on the spot and serve as slaves for life.”
Hiss!
As soon as Xue Yan spoke, the room filled with gasps. This was no-holds-barred.
“Does the master of Dan Fu dare?” Xue Yan gave Ye Chen a sly smile.
“No objections,” Ye Chen shrugged casually.
“In that case, would Old Ancestor Ru Tian Zhu Que be willing to serve as the judge?” Xue Yan asked.
“I am honored,” Ru Tian Zhu Que replied with a faint smile.
“Then let’s begin.” No sooner had Ru Tian Zhu Que spoken than Yue Zhen stepped forward, glaring coldly at Ye Chen. “As the top of Ling Dan Ge, I’ll go first. Choose your Dan Fu’s best to compete against me.”
“You pick—anyone will do,” Ye Chen waved his hand dismissively.
“Anyone at all?” Everyone was stunned—Yue Zhen, Ku Yue, Ru Tian Zhu Que, and all present were taken aback. Picking randomly like this could mean selecting a weak opponent, giving Ling Dan Ge an easy win.
“Are you toying with me?” Yue Zhen erupted in fury once he realized.
“No time for that—just pick anyone,” Ye Chen said, settling into a comfortable spot and pulling out a spirit pearl, focusing on polishing it.
“So confident?” The crowd was shocked, even Ru Tian Zhu Que frowned.
“Probably just bluffing.”
“Yue Zhen is a sixth-tier alchemist—surely Dan Fu doesn’t have all sixth-tiers?”
“You’re overestimating Dan Fu.”
“Are we still competing?” From Dan Fu’s side, an alchemist slammed the table.
“Arrogant.” Yue Zhen snorted coldly and pointed directly at that person. “You, yes you—get out here.”
“You really know how to pick the easy target. I’m the weakest in Dan Fu.”
“Blame your master for that.” Yue Zhen sneered.
“Tch!” The Dan Fu alchemist shrugged it off and leaped onto the dedicated alchemy platform.
“I won’t fail my mission, master.” Even as Yue Zhen stepped up, he declared confidently.
