Chapter 125

Hmm, it's going on shelves! (rubs hands)

I'm a total newbie, the freshest and greenest kind. This book signed at 60,000 words, hit the test-the-waters push at 100,000 words, and it's in the popular xuanhuan category for its first recommendation. Anyone familiar with the process knows it's rare for books to break through from there—at least, from what I've seen in past rounds, the ones that truly stand out can be counted on one hand.

But this book actually made it! (shocked face) I have to give a huge thank you to my editor, Sheng Xia, who's been quietly supportive all along, making sure I never missed a recommendation spot. From the test-the-waters phase to going on shelves, from the popular category to the homepage strong push... I'm so grateful! You can imagine how nerve-wracking it was watching my fellow books from the same period—some went on shelves after testing, some got dropped entirely, and others made it to shelves only to get abandoned right away...

It was enough to make my heart race! But that's why I'm even more thankful to all of you readers. Without your collections, recommendation votes, and rewards... this book wouldn't have stood out, let alone snagged first or second place in nearly every recommendation slot among its peers! A dozen times over, thank you! (bows)

About the book, first off, the core style won't change—that's clear from the moment Xu Xiaoshou shows up and breaks the system pointer. He's destined to be anything but ordinary, with wild ideas, a bit of silliness, and sometimes that middle-schooler mix of hot-blooded energy... Of course, not everyone will like it, and that's totally normal. I'm keeping my mindset chill—if a small group enjoys it, I'm happy. If I can be greedy, I'd love to pull in a few more readers...

My goal in writing was just to give everyone a laugh during downtime. If it goes further, I'd hope the story could stir up some emotions along the way... Maybe make you burst out laughing, or lost in thought, or even fall silent... If that happens, it'd be amazing! If not, at least you've had a good chuckle, so it's not a loss.

As for the side characters, from the start, I positioned them so not everyone revolves around one person, whether that's Xu Xiaoshou or anyone else. I fix their personalities first, then bring them in at the right moments—maybe a subtle appearance or a spotlight entrance—as long as they move the plot forward, that's what I'm aiming for. The line between genius and madman is razor-thin, and if my characters ever blend into the crowd, it's probably because I've lost my spark!

That's all for now.

But right now, I'm bursting with energy!!! It's my first book and my first time going on shelves! I hope you all can show your support and boost that initial subscription—it's crucial for future recommendations, and as a newbie, it's my only way to fight through. (cries) If our fates align, please support the first subscription considering the 240,000 free words in the new book; if we can team up and charge ahead together, that'd be even better—I'm begging you to join me in this rush!

It goes on shelves at noon tomorrow, 12:00, though the system might delay it, but I won't be absent! I'll lead the charge, so remember to follow, brothers—don't leave me fighting alone... Ten chapters to kick things off!

Begging for that first subscription!!!
