Chapter 107: On-Shelf Remarks

Hmm, it's going on the shelves! (rubs hands)

I'm a complete newbie, the freshest and greenest kind of newcomer.

This book got signed at 60,000 words, hit the trial push at 100,000 words, and its first recommendation was in the popular fantasy category.

Anyone familiar with the process knows that very few books make it out of this stage alive—at least, from what I've seen in the books from previous and subsequent periods, the ones that truly stand out are rare enough to count on one hand.

But this book actually made it! (shocked face)

Here, I want to sincerely thank my editor, Sheng Xia Dàda. Even though she's quiet and doesn't say much, she's been supporting me behind the scenes the whole time, making sure the recommendation spots never stopped.

From the trial push to going on shelves, from the popular category to the homepage strong push... I'm incredibly grateful!

You have no idea—among the books from my batch, once the trial push ended, some went on shelves, some were abandoned midway, and some were even abandoned right after going on shelves...

It was enough to make my heart race with anxiety!

But that's why I'm even more thankful to all of you!

Without your collections, your recommendation votes, and your rewards, one by one...

This book wouldn't have stood out, and it certainly couldn't have achieved first or second place in nearly every recommendation spot among its peers!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart! (bows)

...

As for the book itself, the core style won't change—that's clear from the moment Xu Xiǎoshòu shows up and breaks the system pointer.

He's destined to be an unusual character, with wild ideas, a bit of silliness, and sometimes a touch of middle-schooler-style passion and excitement...

Of course, some people might not like that, and that's totally normal.

I'm keeping a relaxed mindset—if a small group enjoys it, I'm already satisfied. If I dare to dream bigger, I'd just hope for a few more readers to join in...

My original goal in writing was simply to give everyone a laugh during their downtime. If it goes further, I'd love for the story to tug at your emotions as it unfolds...

Whether it makes you burst out laughing, lost in thought, or quietly reflective...

If that happens, that would be amazing!

If not, at least you've probably had a good chuckle, so it's not a loss!

Regarding the side characters, from the start, I positioned them so that not everyone revolves around one person, whether that's Xu Xiǎoshòu or anyone else...

I focus on defining their personalities first, then have them appear at the right moments—either in a supporting role or stealing the spotlight—as long as they move the plot forward once they enter the scene. That's what I'm aiming for.

The line between genius and madman is razor-thin, and if my characters ever blend into the crowd, it's probably because I've lost my spark!

That's all.

...

But right now, I'm bursting with energy!!!

This is my first book and my first time going on shelves!

I hope you all can support it generously and help boost the first-day subscriptions—it's crucial for future recommendations. As a newbie, it's tough; this is my only way to carve out a path! (cries)

If our fates aren't aligned yet, at least consider the 240,000 free words in the new book and give it a first-day subscription;

If we can fight side by side, that would be even better—I'm begging you all to charge forward with me!

It goes on shelves at noon tomorrow, 12:00, though the system might delay it a bit, but I won't be absent!

I'll lead the charge, so remember to follow, brothers—don't leave me fighting alone...

Ten chapters to kick things off!

Begging for first-day subscriptions!!!
